2 negative marks on this - not for families - sauna doesn't work consistently.

NOT FOR FAMILIES: I was told that in order to add my wife and switch our child care account to her that I would need to cancel mine and then pay a re-enrollment fee. I HAVE BEEN A CONSISTENT MEMBER FOR 5 YEARS. And I have been patient through their re-vamp of my home gym in Creve Couer where I used a port a potty to change clothes in. You would think that they would accommodate for my loyalty but I guess that is not the world we live in anymore. I am trying to add a consistent new member and nothing can be done? A little absurd - even from a business standpoint.

SAUNA DOESN'T WORK: there used to be a temperature guage on the outside of the saunas. I am guessing they got rid of that because people could see when it wasn't working more easily (and probably complain). Now, if I end my workout early and change clothes I have to find out once I am in the sauna that it is too cold. There should be a thermostat that notifies management when it drops below a certain point - this is what I pay extra for to be a member other cheaper gyms and throughout my time as a member I would say 50% of the time they were either under construction or it was working a percentage of the time. Please put a temperature gauge outside of the sauna so your members can know if they should avoid. And come up with a way to notify maintenance in the unmanned hours of the morning that it is not working. Reading the reviews other people are commenting the same - that the sauna doesn't work in the mornings.

They do not clean the saunas there’s black mold growing in this. Please get this fixed to take some pride in your sauna. Don’t just let it go stay on task at least once at night clean it. It says black mold and is giving people health problems.

Great gym, usually not too busy on weekends, high quality equipment. Monthly fee is a bit high compared to other gyms but definitely the biggest and best in the area. All the equipment is Italian made and of very high quality with multiple of every machine except the preacher curl machine ( which is like the most popular bicep machine so that makes no sense) regardless great gym.

This place is the absolute worst to try to call and get a human on the phone. To actually speak to a "manager" at one of the locations, you have to go in and talk to them. Planet Fitness has actual phones that people can call and talk to someone if need be.

I went to check out the Lake St. Louis Club Fitness location yesterday (06/24, in the afternoon) with the intention of signing up, mostly because I have friends who go there. While I did end up joining, I feel it’s important to share my experience so others know what to expect.

When I walked in, several employees were standing around the front desk talking and laughing. I approached a blonde woman with long pink nails who was at the first computer. I started asking about the facility, but she didn’t even acknowledge me, no eye contact, no greeting…just turned her head and, clearly annoyed, asked another staff member to help me. The whole interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional.

First impressions matter, and unfortunately this one wasn’t great. The facility might be decent, but the front desk staff I encountered were not friendly. Hopefully management takes note.

Be aware that even after your contract is up, there is still a cancellation policy of 30 days that will charge you for another two months of usage (and not notify you that you still have access). I have had a membership for almost two years and cancelled it June 3rd, but my card was run again for a full month again today. I had relatively no issues with the gym here and am only cancelling bc my new job has an on site fitness center, but I do not recommend signing a contract here.

I usually enjoy visiting the smoothie bar at Club Fitness, but my recent experience was a bit disappointing. On a previous visit, an employee took my order directly at the bar, which was super convenient. However, this time, I waited for quite a while without any acknowledgment. It would be helpful if the staff could maintain consistent communication and customer service, so everyone knows the ordering process and feels taken care of. Overall, I hope to see some improvements in consistency because I do love the smoothies here!

I am so upset and disappointed with Club Fitness. I tried canceling online and was told I had to come up to the location. I went there and that was back in March and let the club member know that my kid was being bullied by some other kids annd didn’t feel comfortable going there anymore. I went through the entire process for canceling at the kiosk and just discovered that it was never canceled and I’ve been charged for three months after the time I came in and canceled.

I will never be back this location Bernie S. and one of his employees was rude and unprofessional. Cutting me off wouldn’t even let finish my sentence half the time. And the manger never made me feel welcome even after trying to explain everything. Pulled my membership to show me times I haven’t been to the gym. That don’t even matter as long as the membership is paid for. Then after I ask for his name he started start sucking the spit through his teeth to make a rude noise like I’m the problem. But never again.

As far as the equipment and layout go this is by far the best gym I’ve ever been to. My one complaint is the men’s locker room… it’s always disgusting and smells like a litter box. There’s always pee/pubes/other stuff on the toilet seats, dry pee on the floor, etc. I’ve even come in overnight and found open condom wrappers just laying on the floor so makes you wonder what goes on in there overnight! But yeah other than that, great gym.

Edit: since my last rating, I've noticed the cleanliness in the men's locker room has improved big time. I have no idea if my review had anything to do with that or if it was just a coincidence. But, I have been very pleasantly surprised regardless. Awesome gym.

My husband and I are very pleased with the kids club amenity. Evan,Keira and the many others (the staff needs name tags)have gave us a peace of mind dropping our little one so we can get a quick workout in. They are so friendly and have been so accommodating I cannot thank them enough. As parents it’s hard to get a chance to ourselves and they have made this gym a godsend to be able to take the whole family unit. Should out to all the folks in the kids club. Thank you.

"The equipment is out of service" is the unofficial motto of this gym. This is just a minor upgrade from planet fitness. Weights are always left on machines and plates are everywhere.

The level of disrespect my gf and I received at this location on the afternoon of October 22nd, 2024, is unreal.

My gf and I had been going to this gym for a few months now. I've been using the tanning beds most of that time, she's used the red light therapy several times, and there's never been any question of whether or not we should accompany each other to the room. Hell, on a previous occasion, an employee walked us to the room and watched us walk in and close the door. I'd always just made sure of, regardless of who was using the equipment, we both had our eye protection on.

But on the 22nd, when my gf was about to experience her first tanning session, we had two employees come knocking on the door. I stuck my head out to see what's going on, the young fellow told me there could only be one person in the room at a time, but was abruptly cut off by some old woman whom we've never even seen before, who started interrogating and berating me. Meanwhile, my gf is sprawled out in her undergarments, shivering, in a tanning bed they refused to start.

The vehemence from this old woman only got worse after I asked to speak to a manager. She declared she was the manager (although we've never seen her present in the three months we've been there). When I asked to speak to someone above her, she declared that she's corporate.

When I was finally permitted to speak to someone besides this rude woman, the fellow tried to defuse the situation, and even explained that it's also a state regulation, but SHE kept her mouth running, and whenever I pointed out that no one ever told us, and that they don't have it posted in their rules/policy, she kept arguing with me about it, either expecting that I should know a policy that's not posted anywhere, or that I should have a law degree before going to the gym, making some sort of "mind-blown" gesture every time I opened my mouth. She even called me a liar when I'd pointed out that the employee at the counter had set us up with consecutive tans in the same room, yet refused to involve said employee in the conversation. (I'd also like to point out that when the fellow went to point out said rule on the counter sign AND the sign posted in the tanning room, neither one had the rule)

When my gf (who suffers from CPTSD and sensory overload) exited the tanning room to find out what was going on, the old woman immediately started grilling her, too, insinuating that we "had something going on" in the tanning room, and that we were both trying to climb into the bed at the same time. By the time the old woman was done, my gf was in a full blown panic.

After a short discussion in the parking lot, we decided to go cancel our memberships. When we went in and said we wanted to cancel, the old woman was even rude enough to laugh in my gf's face and start loudly singing about how beautiful a day it is.

I don't know if we were singled out because of my orientation (as I have been known to wear my pride shirt to the gym), or if it was because of my gf's disability status, but it seems this woman has no problem committing a hate crime, OR discriminating against someone protected under the ADA act.

In my opinion, she has no business running a drive-thru staffed by highschool dropouts, much less a facility patronized by civilized people.

Save yourself the aggravation: take your business to the competition or a small, independent gym, where the staff are trained, and have a decent understanding of customer relations and a desire to actually keep members. Avoid Club Fitness at all costs!

Back in 2005 I was a Club Fitness member. Back then, they weren't 24 hours. I would arrive at opening time and there would be maybe 3 to 5 of us. Of course every 15 or 30 minutes, more customers would pour in. I loved Club Fitness and lost 160 lbs.

Years later, after marriage and kids, I found myself out of shape again. So I signed back up. The equipment is better, this overall facility is better, but now at 4:30am I arrive to a full parking lot. Wow. Talk about growth and the shift of the culture. Awesome. They are now 24 hours.

The one bummer is that since staffing starts at 7am, we have people trying to control multiple machines at once... which was never the norm the 5 years I was originally a member.

If someone is 10 feet from a machine and actively using one piece of equipment and I see an open piece of equipment nobody is using, I should be able to use that equipment. "Excuse me. I was going to use that next."

Except they weren't when I sat down. They were about 10 feet away using another piece of equipment.

Sure, if they were not exercising with another piece of equipment of if they stepped aside to sneeze or something, I get it. But I hope Club Fitness doesn't support claiming two pieces of equipment simultaniously. This is new to me and I don't like it.

Phones aren’t answered. Went in person yesterday, took tour, but no employee familiar with signing up using UHC Renew Active insurance. Went home and signed up myself online. Returned today and it was back to no one available to help unless I wanted to wait, which I’d already done day before with no result. Utter waste of time. UHC should not even bother partnering with them.

The club is nice and the equipment is in good shape since it’ll all new. However, even though the club says open 24 hours, the hours that are staffed are extremely limited. Outside of these hours, there are zero employees to assist with any problems and you cannot use the red light therapy or the tanning beds. Not being able to use these amenities past 5pm on weekends is crazy.

Bait and switch. When you sign up for the platinum vip at $39.99 a month, they list stretch and recovery as part of the VIP package. Yet come to find out it’s only when you’re working with a personal trainer. Now they sent out a message that you can have access to the stretch and recovery room for $29.99 a month. Total bait and switch as it’s suggested it’s included. I’m over it. I want out of my contract. And I’m not the only one who thinks it’s ridiculous they want $75/m after taxes for access to a basic gym.

I’ve been going to Club Fitness for years to workout and the LSL location is by far the best one yet! From the staff, to the Panatta equipment and amenities to offer, the gym easily is my second home. Club Fitness provides a community like no other and I’m beyond happy to be apart of it! 10/10 would recommend to anyone at any point in their fitness journey. Been a member off and on for years, this is BY FAR the worst gym I have ever been to. The GM Bernie is extremely rude and lacks any knowledge of the gym or customer service skills.
For many years, a cf premium membership was able to be canceled at anytime. Thanks no longer the case, you are committed for 12 months, and if you would like to cancel early, they make you pay 3 months and you cannot even come during the 3 more months you paid for.
I know for certain planet fitness still has where you can cancel anytime. I’d recommend going there instead!

The location and gym itself is fantastic, but in order to change home gyms (we've moved since we joined back in 2016), my wife was forced to upgrade her membership to gain access. I was already upgraded to have red light therapy access. I may have been okay with this but the manager at this location is completely rude and unfriendly, and definitely made both of us feel unwelcome. He made it a point to say this is not a $20 gym. I am a founding member and wanted to get a membership for my wife. I was disappointed that Club Fitness does not have a way to gift a membership to another person. The member receiving the gift has to be in person to fill out the waiver, and since it’s a gift, it can’t be given and then later fill out the waiver. The front desk crew, Vianca, Payden, and Chaz, figured this out. Vianca suggested taking a barcode tag and putting this in an envelope and then we could come in after Christmas and finish the membership. Hard off to the crew. They all deserve raises for quick thinking and great member support!!!!

I was disappointed with my experience at this location. Although when I joined Club Fitness, they said that my membership as is was valid for any one location, when I tried to switch my membership from a different location to LSL, they denied the request. When I reached out for support, they were unhelpful and just recommended upgrading my membership. I will not be recommending this location to anyone.

This place is AMAZING! I normally shy away from gyms but this was a welcoming experience. The staff is incredible and the equipment is state of the art. The place has everything you'd need to include a sauna, relaxation area, personal trainers, fitness classes, and a womens only workout area. Overall pleased (obviously) and DEFINITELY recommend!

Club Fitness has outdone themselves as this must be their new flagship location. Excellent high-quality/high-safety Italian Panatta equipment to satisfy the meatheads and cardio fitness folks, women-only room, studio- thousands of ways to get off the couch and get after it! Open, bright, gigantic TV for sports… and now 5min away- Fantastic!
