10/10 experience! We worked weekly with Convergence Dance & Body Center on a choreographed wedding dance for many months. We went from having 0 dance experience to being able to do a beautiful choreographed first dance. We worked with both Roxanne and Robert-- Both awesome, fun people and extremely talented. I was so impressed with the way they explained things, their patience, and their talent. Outside of an awesome first dance at our wedding that we'll never forget and received so many compliments on, we had so much fun every week at our dance practices. They made this experience so fun and special from start to finish. We'd like to go back someday for some just-for-fun dance classes since we had such an amazing experience with them! My partner and I just finished the Salsa 101 course and it was fantastic! The instructions (Robert and Oritza) are fun and super knowledgeable. I took the class because I really like dancing but have a hard time hearing the rhythm and dancing to it so I get nervous and tend to want to lead. I've been taking the progressive West Coast Swing lessons and I’m really enjoying it! Convergence is definitely the best dance studio I’ve ever worked with. Roxanne is super passionate about dance, and has the extensive background to prove it. That passion really translates when you take classes— she molds each class to teach what excites us and what works for our skill level. I’ve taken multiple skill levels of multiple different dances with her, and she’s great at teaching true basics as well as advanced techniques.
Convergence as a whole also provides a really lovely community for dancers. I started taking most of my dance classes alone, and they make it much less intimidating by trying to foster events and spaces for anyone and everyone who might be interested in taking the leap into a new hobby.

None of us have any background in dancing, but my fiancé, Eric, was adamant that we would take lessons and impress everyone with some choreography at the wedding. GARTH- great instructor with a super chill personality. Dancing isn’t my strong suit, Garth made me feel comfortable and could put his directions in words that I could understand, no dance lingo. Everyone at the studio seemed super cool and put off the vibe that they enjoyed what they do, it wasn’t their job it was their passion. I decided to take my dancing skills to the next level in 2020 so I could keep up with more advanced dancers. I am very glad I found Hanna, who is a patient, friendly, and incredible teacher. I have been taking classes with her for more than a year and she tailors the sessions to my goals and encourages me to practice whenever I can. Garth was up for a challenge when he was “chosen” to be our dance instructor for our first dance at our wedding. He's a little quirky, a little (sometimes very) old school, and a lot of fun. He's knowledgable and able to make you feel comfortable while learning and making many missteps and many jokes.

He'll grow more "stern" as you get better as a dance student, just as he'll be more gracious when you're a beginner. He has his way of teaching, but will also adapt if you bring something specific to him that you want to learn to do.

I have been doing gyrotonics at Convergence for about a year and a half at the urging of a good friend. I liken gyrotonics to a combination of yoga and pilates. It includes stretching, light strength training and balance work all in one. For me, as I age, the balance and stretching have become particularly important. Roxanne is great at guiding me through the exercises, correcting my form to get the maximum benefit. We are way too late on this, and if Convergence didn't deserve six stars, I wouldn't be so sorry. But they do. So, I'm sorry.

Garth was incredible. We had a fairly complicated Waltz we wanted to do, and Garth was able to break it down so even I (the husband and dancing neophyte) could understand. More than that, Garth was fun to be around, and we found ourselves pushing him to stay after class because we just wanted to keep chatting.

The week before our wedding, the venue threw us a big curveball: we'd have to dance on grass. Thankfully, Garth coached us so well, not only in the technical areas of our Waltz, but mentally for when things inevitably go wrong, that we adapted and the dance was still gorgeous, people were still wowed, and we were still able to have a first dance we will always cherish.

Convergence was our absolute favorite wedding vendor! My partner and I were total non-dancers and came to Convergence wanting to build some basic dance skills and get more confident moving. Our instructor, Robert, was an incredible teacher and very kind. Robert helped us co-create choreography for our first dance that felt natural, fun and totally reflected our personalities. In addition, Robert taught us some combinations that we were able to use to dance to all of the other music on our playlist. I first saw Carter a few years ago for some issues with pulled hamstrings, and he really helped to take care of that. I've since returned due to some ongoing issues with my left shoulder area. He always does a great job, when I come in, we talk specifically about the area, he asks specific questions on where the pain is, what it feels like, what motions cause it to hurt, what motions are fine. Then he'll tailor the treatment to that area/pain. I think the thing I appreciate the most about him, aside from his caring, kind demeanor, is that he always takes time to answer my questions. He'll explain how one part impacts another, and how that can cause a chain reaction, and how I can try to help myself out by making simple adjustments to things I do. I highly recommend this business!

I have been doing Gyrotonic with Roxanne for several years. The movement really helps my whole body feel better. Roxanne is very in tune with what I have dealt with, and she individualizes the session based on my history and how I'm feeling that day. When the studio had to close for the pandemic, Roxanne expanded her services to include virtual Gyrokenesis lessons. I was able to connect with her via the computer and do the lessons with her from home. After sitting all day over a computer, this was really good for me to move my back and shoulders in a different way. Even through the computer, Roxanne was able to explain the moves and make sure I was doing them correctly. I would recommend both Gyrotonic and Gyrokenesis to anyone with stiffness or back pain for increasing strength and mobility.

We had recently taken wedding dance lessons at Convergence Dance and Body with Robert and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Robert went above and beyond helping us choreograph our first dance with a song that isn't so typical, and we were so happy with the results along with all of our guests complimenting our dance! We would definitely recommend inquiring Robert if you are looking for someone to help you with your two left feet and your first dance!!

I’m so glad we did first dance lessons! I had done very basic ballroom classes many years ago and really wanted us to do something other than swaying to music. My fiancé was a little nervous about the idea but agreed to do the discounted intro lesson. After our first class with Robert, my fiancé and I were both sold! The way that Convergence approaches lessons for first dances is so fun and non-threatening. Robert choreographed an intro and and ending for our dance, and then taught us movements that we could mix and match to improvise the middle. We wound up doing 7 lessons total which were fun date nights that taught us new ways to connect with each other. During our reception we were so excited to show off our dance! Our DJ had a minor snafu in the middle of the song, but we were able to pick it up and keep going. Afterwards, when I was a bit annoyed that we hadn’t hit our ending perfectly because of the music switch up, my fiancé’s first response was that Robert would have been so proud of us for getting back with the music, making it fun, and enjoying it. Tl;dr: We are so happy we took lessons and plan on going back for group lessons soon!

My fiance and I just finished taking private lessons for our wedding with Anna and we had the BEST TIME! Anna was so fun and kind, and did a great job of constructing a dance that was appropriate for our skill level and feels so us! Our lessons quickly became a highlight of our week and we cannot wait to surprise and delight everyone at our wedding.
We will definitely be back to take some group dance classes.

My wife and I found this studio on The Knot and decided to take lessons here to make our first dance special at our wedding. Robert was our teacher and is phenomenal. I was doubtful of my ability to follow with the lessons as I had taken dance lessons before that were not successful, but Robert created a comfortable environment and routine that was unique to us and made for an unforgettable wedding dance for us. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I was initially hesitant to take salsa lessons by myself, however, after my first class session it was clear this was the class for me. Convergence has a great mix of single and couples in their classes, making it a great social setting. I had so much fun learning salsa and bachata, and made a lot of friends in the class to practice with outside of class. Hanna and Robert were EXCELLENT teachers. The initial salsa class was designed to teach the basic steps, and teach social dancing from the beginning. This let me be able to go out and start dancing in the community earlier, and have so much fun doing it. They made lessons so much fun, I ended up taking them for six months instead of my initial plan of eight weeks.

Robert and Hanna were always available to schedule private lessons outside of practice. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Convergence to anyone looking for dance lessons from beginner to advanced levels!

We started class here as a gift and ended up staying for staying 8 months. Taking sequential classes feels like leveling up- you feel better as you dance better.

The instructors change throughout the levels so you always have fresh teaching. Roxanne is a master and everyone should start with learning from her. Robert makes things fun while understandable. Hanna keeps you laughing and was a fast friend. And finally, Carter keeps you healthy so you can keep dancing for as long as it makes you happy.

This place. My boyfriend gave me an 8 week salsa lesson for Christmas. We started the first week of January; it’s September, and we’re still dancing at Convergence weekly. Anyone in stl looking for salsa or bachata lessons should come here. SINGLE or COUPLE - seriously accommodate all so that it’s never outnumbered. Love them.

I have been taking classes here for about 15 years.
I started with salsa with Roxanne before she even had her studio.
This lead to group classes In salsa, west coast, rueda and Tango. I still take a private Tango class weekly with Robert.
The Tango tours are amazing. Buenos Aires with the BEST teachers in the world.
Whether you are looking to get your wedding dance together, want to compete in Ballroom or just be able to get around the floor at a wedding or a hotel bar on vacation, this is the place.

My girlfriend purchased a class with Hanna for a "Date Night" last Saturday. We took a Salsa class with Hanna and she was AWESOME! She really had me believing that I DIDN'T have 2 left feet. The class was challenging but Hanna put us at ease (mostly me) and was a great instructor. The facility was easy to find, super clean and neat. Parking was not an issue as well. I'd totally recommend them and Hanna and my gf and I plan to take another class there again.

Dr Maier is a wonderful chiropractor. He really takes the time to listen to his patients, and has been one of the best finds for my back and neck since moving to St Louis! He is very knowledgeable and will try different techniques in order to get results. Pricing is very reasonable for the excellent quality of care you receive. The new office is also well equipped, sparkling clean, and easy to get to from all over the metro area. I highly recommend Dr Maier to anyone seeking chiropractic help.

A group of my coworkers and I took 6 private lessons from Roxanne at Convergence dbc (tango and swing) and we could not have had a better experience. I rarely ever write reviews, but I HAD to do so for this venue. I own a Fashion label and hosted a pop up on saturday and sunday here at Convergence DBC.
Roxanne was the MOST gracious host I have ever met. She was very accommodating and even allowed us to set up tge Friday before the event.
She allowed us to store our rentals and packages for an extra day to allow for pick up by the third party company.
I know this was outside of our agreement, but she graciously allowed it.
The soace is absolutely stunning, large and clean. We have everything we needed from music to WIFI.
Oh! And very affordable.
Parking was great!

This is the best studio to learn Tango and Salsa. Robert and Roxanne are amazing teachers. They are full of charisma and make the classes a lot of fun. The studio offers a nice variety of classes and overall has a warm and welcoming feel to it. If you are looking for a fun place to learn to dance, you will enjoy Convergence.

Convergence is by far the best dance studio I've ever been to! I have been going for about three years now and I still learn so many new things each week! There are a wide array of classes, of which I have taken salsa and tango (both spectacular). Every instructor is helpful and extremely knowledgeable about every dance style taught there! The classes also range from beginner level to advanced, so there is something for everyone!

I highly recommend this studio for anyone looking to learn new dances and also for more experienced dancers who want to learn even more!
