I have been trying to cancel this gym for six months. I moved to another state. When I tried to cancel before I left, I was told since there was a crunch near where I was moving to, I’d have to transfer my membership there. When I tried to do that, the local gym told me I had to ask Columbia to transfer me. Columbia told me my local gym had to do it. I kept getting the run around. I’m still at Columbia as my home gym, and I’ve tried calling and emailing. The manager never returns my calls. I called a number my husband got to cancel and was told you can’t cancel that way. You have to send a certified letter and if they “accept” your cancellation, then they’ll cancel it 30 days later.
Do NOT sign up with Crunch. It is not worth this cancellation headache. I’ve never had this much issue cancelling a gym.

Great staff, superior customer service, plenty of room to work out without feeling crowded, plenty of machines & weight options, tanning beds, the works. All at a great price. Open 24/7 on weekdays, which still shocks me in today's violent environment. I currently wouldn't go anywhere else.

Worst gym known to mankind, not only do they not care about their gym members safety, (if you are curious a simple google search will catch you up) and they dont even attempt to repair their image. Instead they harass you and demand payments for memberships you dont even sign up for. Dont waste your money and risk your safety. There are plenty of other great gyms around Columbia.

Im a loyal customer due to the location but thats its only redeeming quality. Its really impressive how nasty the gym is. And its not because its so busy the staff cant keep up - there are often a half dozen employees at the front desk texting each other. The weight machines are often in significant disrepair. Three of the five machines im using today squeak so loudly they can be heard at the other end of the gym. You never know how much weight you are lifting due to the squeaking and the related extra resistance. The machines are an injury risk. Paper towel dispensers are often empty and stay that way all day. The ones with paper towels in them usually are jammed, which is why they still have paper towels. The customers often take it upon themselves to break into the remaining dispensers, which leads to piles and wads of towels around the area. The piles and wads are usually wet. Trashes commonly overflow. If you let an employee know something is disgusting, they roll their eyes, and finish their conversation before taking action slowly. My friend found a used tampon in the shower on her first visit. This place is hilarious, at least. They have earned every morsel of these zero stars. Oh wait, one star minimum is required.

“Ryan” closed the gym an hour prior to close. I was extremely frustrated that my workout was cut short because an employee wanted to go home early. Ten minutes prior to that he turned off all music and TVs. He stomped off when he realized people were still working out to aggressively lift some weights. He told me the gym closes at 11 on Fridays despite the app and google saying it closes at 12. While standing by the desk to ask for the manager’s contact information he told me “the gym is closed to tanning too”. I asked him for the general managers contact information which he refused to give any information, not even a name. I asked if I could leave my contact only for him to aggressively rip the page out of the notepad and appeared to throw it away in front of my face. Completely disrespectful and unprofessional behavior from this individual and I am genuinely considering canceling my membership over this interaction.

Nasty place. Bathrooms never cleaned. Trash everywhere. If machines break they are broken for months. Employees never clean. Occasionally they vacuum a corner. Might as well be a frat gym. Feel bad for anyone who just wants to better themselves by a workout but can’t afford a nicer gym.
If you want to catch a disease I suggest you workout at this gym

It has potential but a lot of the equipment stays broke. The floor is also rolling up and is a tripping hazard and it’s filthy almost all the equipment is covered in dirt and dust and I’ve never seen an employee clean the actual equipment. Occasionally you’ll see someone running the vacuum. I went to use the stretching mats and they were disgusting so I wiped it down and the paper towel was black after I was done. I wanted to use the sauna but after seeing how absolutely atrocious the locker room was there was no way I’d go in there. But this all being said with proper management and keeping the workers busy this could be an amazing gym but most of the time works sit at the front desk doing nothing.

The whole experience was off putting. The assistant manager used high pressure sales techniques to try and convince me to change my mind at every step of the way, from upgrades to signing up with a personal trainer. At one point I had to say no 5 times to get her to drop the subject. I ended up still signing up because of its location to my work, but if other options were available that would suit my needs I would gladly explore them.

Worst gym experience I have ever had. They charged me twice to downgrade my membership, promised a refund, and then ghosted me completely. It’s been weeks. Every time I follow up, I get the same response: "The manager is not here today".
Accountability? Laughable. If you enjoy being lied to and robbed in broad daylight, this place is perfect for you.

When I started going to Crunch Fitness, things went well. However, I had a career change and needed to relocated for work. I was working with a trainer and paying regularly on top of the monthly membership. After I moved, I was told that I had a few sessions left that I had already paid for. I contacted Crunch Fitness requesting my membership to be canceled and to stop all reoccurring charges, specially since I could not complete/transfer my training to another Crunch. I decided to gift a friend the remaining sessions I had, since they were paid for.
I was told to email John Calton that I wanted to cancel my membership. After weeks passed and two emails sent, I had to call and request it to be canceled again. John shared that he did not know why the first two emails did not go through but if I sent screenshots showing them he would cancel my membership and refund the charged amounts. During this time, my credit card on file got hacked and I had to request a new card. I have received half of the promised amount that was supposed to be refunded. Now, Crunch Fitness has charged me another monthly membership charge on my new card that was not given or approved for Crunch Fitness to charge. It has been since August that I have been trying to get this canceled and unapproved charges refunded.
I would NOT recommend doing any fitness training with a personal trainer, unless you want a headache to cancel.

After multiple conversations with both corporate and our local Crunch location, requesting to cancel a membership, they continue to charge an ex-college student who doesn't live in Columbia monthly fees. Crunch makes cancellation intentionally difficult by requiring either in-person visits or a certified letter—both of which create an unnecessary financial burden just to stop being charged.
It’s extremely frustrating and disappointing that a company this size refuses to provide a simple, fair cancellation option (such as online or over the phone) and instead continues billing former members. Students and young adults deserve better than to be trapped in endless fees.
I cannot recommend Crunch Fitness based on this experience.

My wife cancelled two months ago and I got another charge today and when she went in again to check what was happening had to cancel again and will be charged again next month. $90 for a place that she hasn’t been to in what will be four months from when she cancelled. No refund. Nothing. Just out of luck. I hope the parents of all the college kids that go there pay attention to their bank statements because they are thieves.

Beware, it is a NIGHTMARE to cancel membership at this gym. First they tell you you must cancel in person in Columbia and when you no longer attend MIZZOU, impossible task. You can not cancel at ANY of the other locations in person either. Then they tell you to call a different number, a call center. That doesn’t work. Then they say to pay more $ and must send certified mail to cancel. That doesn’t work. Then finally speak to asst manager and they say charges will continue thru October when we’ve been trying to cancel since June. Unacceptable. Don’t join unless you want to be a lifetime member with lifetime charges. They’re taking advantage of students who move away and have no established procedures for canceling membership.

I went in for a body assessment with John. I had an issue with pinched nerves and spasms in my back and he said he could figure out what’s going on. That’s exactly what he did! I followed his instructions and went through a series of exercises that helped isolate where in my back the pain was coming from. Then introduced me to Justin who was able to give me the perfect stretch exercise to rehab it cause he said he also dealt with a similar injury. All around very nice people and very informative. These guys know their stuff 👍

UPDATE:
Two years later, the finally seem to have a handle on this problem. Great gym.
UPDATE:
A year later the men’s bathroom is still gross and constantly low on toilet paper.
ORIGINAL:
This is an exceptionally clean and high-quality gym.
From everyone I've chatted with, you won't find a better place in Columbia.
If you're on the fence or still deciding, definitely sign up for the trial period.
There are only two issues worth noting...
Stocks of paper towels/cleaner for wiping down machines run out pretty frequently (bathroom toilet paper too). Maybe this is a bigger issue for morning workouts than evenings?
A few of the machines have been broken for months now. I'll definitely update my review to 5/5 when the machines are fixed, 2.5 months seems a bit excessive.
Overall, the price is totally reasonable and it's a great place to workout!
Edit:
Machines have definitely gotten repaired which is great…
But for the love of god, please make sure the staff is restocking toilet paper!
Every other day there isn’t a single roll in the men’s bathroom during the mornings.
We were forced to start bringing our own!

Legal does not mean ethical.
Joining Crunch is effortless—canceling is a nightmare by design. You can sign up online or over the phone in minutes, but canceling requires an in-person visit and paperwork. That’s not about accountability; if it were, cancellation would be just as easy as signup. Instead, the system is built to shame members, punish those who move or have health issues, and trap people into paying longer than they want.
To make things worse, they bury consent for endless marketing calls and emails in fine print, then blame customers for “opting in” when they’re harassed after leaving, and on top of that the random charges are abhorrent! Pointing to a contract doesn’t make this fair—it proves how lopsided and manipulative it is; legal does not mean ethical!
If Crunch fitness were confident in their services they wouldn’t need to implement so many predatory practices like the constant emails/calls, random charges, and terrible cancelation policy—but of course they do; which should tell you everything you need to know. Do not support this predatory business.

**DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM**
As someone who works in sales and is an avid gym goer, I have to say, I am highly disappointed in the customer service and overall quality of this gym. In sales, standard procedure is you inform your customer of the membership policy, the day you cancel before, and the billing cycle. CRUNCH DOES NONE OF THIS. My boyfriend signed up and purchased a membership for us, with the intention of only going for two months. All he was told was “you can cancel at anytime.” GUESS WHAT?!? You can’t cancel at anytime. I called, was told you have to come in in-person. I know damn well you do not have to do that. So I called again, informed her that my boyfriend has moved out of state. I am now told I HAVE TO PAY $50 FREAKING DOLLARS or $90 IF I WAIT. Typically, in sales, if you cancel before the date of the month you started, you will not be charged. I GUESS NOT AT THIS GYM. I am so incredibly irritated and disappointed that Destiny did not inform us of any of the billing policies, and that we are still unable to cancel. Called multiple times and no answer. Save yourself the misery of having you soul sold to this gym and go somewhere else. If your facility and franchise is in such a bad state to where you have to consistently bill people and not inform them of any additional charges to save your financial situation, I would highly suggest filing for bankruptcy. It will save you the hassle.

I am highly upset with this facility. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership, for three weeks and have been unsuccessful. I was told I could cancel ANYTIME!! and that was a LIE!!! You cannot cancel anytime. I’ve called multiple times trying to cancel I was not informed about this “fine print policy” before I signed up. I took the membership with the understanding I could cancel anytime I wanted I’ve been told I would need to pay 50$ just to cancel the membership! THAT’S MORE THAN THE MEMBERSHIP I WAS PAYING, FOR WHICH WAS 30$, and I was told I need to come in person I INFORMED THEM MULTIPLE TIMES!! I don’t live in the area anymore to cancel it. I just came home from college/graduated with the understanding I could cancel anytime including over the phone AND IT SAYS online I can cancel over the phone!!!! The franchise owner doesn’t seem to care and clearly has no idea what’s going on at his own store. Please, please, please I BEGGG YOU do not sign up. YOU’LL BE A MEMBER FOR THE REST OF YOUR NATURAL BORN LIFE!! I JUST WANNA CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP AND I STILL CAN’T DO IT!!

I opened a Crunch Fitness account about nine months ago, but I only went during the first week. Now, after nine months, I’m outside Columbia and I contacted them to cancel my subscription. They told me I either need to be there in person or send a certified letter, which I don’t understand. When I signed up, they told me I could cancel anytime, and they never mentioned these rules or had any discussion about them.

If you like using rowing machines, you may want to know this before joining. Although they have a good amount of rowing machines (4), they are located in some special area that is frequently used for classes. If a class is in session, they won’t let you use the rowing machines, even if the class isn’t using the rowing machines. So, if you want to ever use the rowing machines, you can only do so when these classes aren’t in session. So far a class has been going on every time I’ve been here. It doesn’t make much sense to me, and they won’t make any changes to accommodate you.

I had a really bad experience at first with a trainer there, I did leave a bad review but deleted it due to the fact John worked things out with me and ensured me that what happened to me is not what they are about! He got rid of my large bill since i was scammed by one of the trainers who no longer works there, and offered me to train with a new trainer so i can have a better experience! Don’t not sign up for the personal training, once you are ready to cancel, they will beat around the bush as to not cancel and keep charging your card. Franchise owner does not care that they do this and will not step in. If you currently have sessions going on, I advise you to cancel your contract and go someplace where you are treated with care. I’m down 1700$ and nothing is getting done. Thanks to John Calton who has a hard time finding the cancel button on his computer. I’ve never seen such lousy staff and service from a gym in my life.

I signed up to better myself and decided to pay for personal training sessions. My trainer, Toby, was phenomenal. Always willing to work with me and help me solve any problems. I feel better and stronger today.
The facility itself was pretty decent at first, but I'm told management for the cleaning changed and all went down hill. Dirt and grim all over the the place. The bathrooms were gross, for example for weeks the giant mirror in the bathroom was splattered with who knows what and couldn't be used. I reported many items, but felt unheard unless Sara was working the desk.
Due to various reasons I decided to reduce my PT sessions then shortly after cancel altogether. It took over 14 days to process the reduction in PT. The morning of May 20 I turned in the paperwork to cancel my PT listing reasons and requesting email confirmation of completion. Later that day I did receive and email simply inquiring the reasons as to why I wanted to cancel; the information needed was listed on the form. I responded the next day and four additional times along with speaking with management in person. John, whom I spoke to about the PT cancelation, said he would take care of canceling the payment and reverse/refund the payment scheduled to come out on May 30. June 7 I was charged yet again for PT services.
Basically, it is easy to start going and paying for services, but good luck if you want to stop.

Lease agreement said I could send a letter to cancel. Sent a letter, got charged for another month. Called to ask why this was and was told I needed to call a number to cancel. Number wasn’t anywhere in my lease agreement. Called the number to cancel and was told lines were too busy for 3 days straight. Finally got my call through and was told they tried to call me back but the call never wouldn’t go through. No missed calls or voicemails on my end. Had to pay out an extra month just to stop dealing with the whole situation.

Machines are constantly going out of order due to people dropping the cable weights and machine up-keep done only once a millennium. The rubber flooring is bubbled and corners are lifting up in the free weights area causing major tripping hazards. Cleanliness doesn’t seem to matter with dried up spills and clumps of hair and dust all over the floors. If you ever have to workout near the men’s restroom, it just reeks of stale urine. Lastly, the vibe is awful. People that workout there seem to have some sort of entitlement to them, where they don’t feel they need to re-rack weights or wipe down machines after rubbing their sweaty butt juice all over everything.
I understand that this is just heavy weight planet fitness, but even the planet fitness off of Nifong gets better care than this place.

After filling out the paperwork to cancel my membership back in February. Crunch continued to bill. Billing called and informed me that I was still enrolled. This was in March. They hadn't received the paperwork l. I asked billing what I needed to do to get out of it. The told me I needed to pay late fee and membership fees and for my personal trainer, whom I hadn't been seing. After paying, I was told the could cancel.my membership I needed to pay 570.00. I was really frustrated at this time, but I paid. I was then told that she couldn't cancel my membership, but they added 5 more sessions. I needed to go to the the actual location. I was told by a manager that they would take care of it. I was told the person I needed to see was on vacation and a month later still on vacation, but it was already taken care of and I would reimbursed 270. Needless to say they never canceled. I switched my card, but they continue to bill me and billing continues to call. Who do I need to call or talk too.

I've been giong to this location since it opened. After a year of going they 'automatically upgraded' me and started charging me 17.99 instead of what I had signed up for, the base price of 9.99$. After much hassel I was able to completely redo my contract and go back to 9.99. Now they are charging me 19$ a month again, and it has not been a year so I don't believe they automatically upgraded me again. It is incredibly frustrating that I am being charged double what I signed up for.
Beyond that, the place is very poorly cleaned. The machines are so dirty and they're often broken. On Sunday 50% of the leg machines were out of order. They need better or more cleaners and more frequent repairs for how busy this gym is on a daily basis.
I've been continuing to go because of the location, and the location alone.
Crunch, stop finding reasons to overcharge your loyal patrons.

According to your website, Crunchism #2 embraces a philosophy that involves 1) Positivity, 2) Inclusivity, and 3) Fun. However, your front desk person and culture is anything but positive and fun. I highly suggest corporate pay a personal visit and offer some coaching and feedback to train the front desk on the importance of greeting the customer and smiling. Standing around leaning on the counter while on their phone drinking pickle juice promotes anything but positivity and fun.

One star because it's not possible to give zero stars. I was charged 2 annual fees within the first 90 days. And definitely don't sign up for PT sessions. They will hide behind their policies, tell you false information, and take advantage of you. Basically, this gym is no better than a scam. DO NOT JOIN!
Update: I had to dispute $330 in fraudulent charges for PT sessions I didn't receive. My CC company ruled in my favor, but they didn't reverse the charges because the gym had refunded me already. Imagine my confusion. When I asked the gym director about this, he suddenly went from denying they owed me anything to asking if he could reimburse the card on file. I'll let those reading decide if that sounds like scamming at play.
Also, it's really convenient for the gym that Google doesn't allow a reply to Crunch's responses on these bad reviews. Anyone curious, I have emails that prove what I'm saying is true. It'd be nice if they offered some kind of proof with their claims.

I have been using this gym for about 9 months.
The parking lot is an absolute nightmare, never enough spaces, people are illegally parking in disability spaces and at the edges, there are huge divots around the rain drains that make it impossible for cars to park without scraping the bottom of the cars. More often than not, we have to park in the grocery store lot.
The machines have been steadily deteriorating, and as of today, there are 7-8 machines with out of order signs, and others that simply do not turn on. One row of ellipticals is so crowded, the handles beat into each other and is very jarring. The other row doesn't allow the Bluetooth access to connect with smart devices.
The water fountain is hidden in the way back corner, and it is clear they want you to buy the sports drinks at the front. It is also next to the men's locker room, which is uncomfortable for women.
The stretching area has more equipment than mats, and the area is often dirty, with weights scattered around.
The locker rooms are usually pretty clean, but the bathroom stalls don't latch properly.
Staff often are at the front of the building chatting with each other or customers, but rarely do I see them cleaning, refilling the spray bottles, putting weights away, or working with clients.
As soon as my year membership is over, I am switching to a different company.

I go to the gym 5-6 days a week and have a personal trainer Chance who is awesome. John the training director is super helpful and he is the one who has helped me with finding a trainer and is extremely helpful with any issues I have.
I have complained about the employees not doing anything but standing around and talking or being on their phones. I have told them numerous times about paper towels being out , bathrooms are disgusting and soap dispenser are broke and no toilet paper. There are 2 lay down beds and 1 stand up bed that work half way and one has at least 21 bulbs out and I was told by management they fixed them....really!! Plus the door does not lock!
The trainers are constantly busy and I usually have to tell Jihn about the issues because no one else will do anything when you say anything but it's not my job. If I didn't have a trainer I would cancel my membership!!

Employees seem to stand and chat at the desk more than do their job. 7 people waiting on tanning beds today and instead of cleaning the open ones, they continued to lean against the counter and chat. Nobody seems to want to be the person to clean them, so guests time gets wasted waiting longer than necessary.

They advertise their clubs are “squeaky clean”…. Let me just start by saying: This is the MOST DISGUSTING GYM I’ve been to. The bathrooms in particular are always gross. Constantly out of paper towels throughout the gym. Constantly out of TP and Soap in the bathrooms. Piles of Hair and dust around every piece of equipment. Pads often cracked and torn for months on end. SEE THE PHOTOS.
They have a great space and offer decent amount of equipment. The staff for the most part are always nice. But they make zero effort to keep this place clean.
Update: I quit this membership and now attend the Wilson’s on Rangeline. It is the cleanest gym in town with a huge amount of workout equipment and space. Pay $15 more a month to have an amazingly clean gym and overall workout experience.

Nice open area and decent equipment but it’s never clean. There are multiple employees that hangout at the counter but there is toilet paper all over the bathroom floors. Hair and dust balls by most of the equipment. It hasn’t snowed in over a week and there is still a film over all the walkways. It’s definitely the dirtiest gym in town.

My experience with Crunch Fitness has been extremely disappointing. Two months ago, they overcharged me $71 instead of $17. Despite their promise to refund the amount within 10 days, I still haven’t received my money!!!! I’ve contacted them multiple times—through email, calls, and even at the front desk—but no one has provided a solution or even a proper response.
This level of customer service is unacceptable. It’s not just about the money; it’s about trust and accountability. I expected better from a gym that prides itself on serving its members. Sadly, this has left a very negative impression, and I can’t recommend this gym to others.

1. Do not sign up for personal training or pay in advance. It is a scam, you will be canceled for your paid session upon arrival, your trainer will always be late, or disappear in the middle of your session. They scammed 3K from me for personal training, do not recommend it at all. Whatever they say when you sign up is not what you get. DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE.
2. Gym is always crowded, broken equipments, roof is leaking all over, floor carpet is un even blistered all over, no hand sanitizers…etc… STAY AWAY

While the facility was typically pretty clean and had classes that I enjoyed, the parking is less than desirable. In addition, Crunch Columbia charged me an extra $34.33 after I cancelled my membership and made my final payment. I reached out regularly for at least 2 weeks trying to get a refund for this charge, but I received several runarounds, I was told they didn’t charge me (after providing proof that they had), and never received a resolution.

I have never left a good or bad review but this is out of hand. I don't even like crunch enough to pay $28 a month and I sure as hell don't like them enough to have to pay another $28 to cancel, crunch is the greediest gym I have ever been to and not to mention they don't even keep it clean or care about who just walks in?? A couple weeks ago I saw a homeless person wandering the HITT training area and then another day I saw what I believe to be a dead roach in the corner. I drove all the way to crunch to cancel my membership because that's how it used to work just for them to give me a card to a call center. I am extremely frustrated and would highly recommend just going to Planet Fitness or ANYWHERE else instead.

If you're looking for a great gym to work out this is it but if you ever have to cancel a membership this is not the gym for you. There's a 30-day rule which is reasonable you would think. My membership came out today 9-13-24. I cancelled today. They charged me for another month today in order for me to cancel. I have been trying to cancel my membership since August. First I was told I needed to come to the Columbia office to sign a paper. Then when I drive 40 mi to the Columbia office I was told to call. I got to run around and then charged two extra annual fees. So they make sure to extra charge before exit. I had to pay October and November. When it should have been only October's payment due.

Please ask as much questions as you can before getting membership.
They will charge you another month fee for not using the gym once you try to cancel your membership. By the time you hit 1 year, you will also need to pay the annual fee. If you decide to cancel it before the 1 year, you can't because there is one your commitment. So, you have to pay annual plus one month fee before saying good bye.
NOBODY will tell you that one month notice charge during registration. They will just charge you for nothing. I had to pay $73 before my cancellation.
So, please consider my review and others review before you decide to get membership.

Shoutout to Anthony the Assistant General Manager for redeeming my experience. I was having an terrible time trying to figure out why I was charged twice and when I had come in the store the person at the front desk tried the best they could to help but without a manager available little could be done. I later called the store after having trouble canceling over the phone and Anthony the assistant general manager pulled all the levers and switches to make it easy for me to cancel and explained everything in a clear and concise manner along the way. May get a subscription again in the future having had this experience.

The good:
- Some of the cardio machines work with Apple Watches, which is great.
The bad:
- Why does the parking lot only have 2 light poles? The parking lot is so dark during evening hours. It's a safety issue. This is not an issue at other Columbia gyms.
- Why is it so humid in the gym? It's almost as if they don't run the A/C at all. This results in every surface feeling sticky and tacky. Please find a way to dry out the air, especially with dozens of people sweating everywhere. This is not an issue at other Columbia gyms.
- Most cardio machines do not recognize smart watches. For example, NONE of the stair climber would register with my watch. Only 1 elliptical registered with my watch. The machines probably weren't setup correctly. This is not an issue at other Columbia gyms.
- The paper towels at the sanitization stations are so flimsy and cumbersome to use. I can see why people just don't wipe down equipment because it's such a hassle! This is not an issue at other Columbia gyms.
- Irregular hours lead to confusion as to when the gym closes. This is not an issue at other Columbia gyms.
- This gym has a bad TV channel line up. They don't get local
channels and don't get regular sports channels, but they've got weird channels like ESPN 3 or Accuweather. So don't expect to be able to watch any major sports games while working out. This is not an issue at other Columbia gyms.
- The men's locker-room is unacceptably musty smelling. This is not an issue at other Columbia gyms.
Thank goodness that my membership is covered by my employer. Because I would not consider paying a SINGLE CENT for a membership here.

I thought I’d share. I have a mild case of Cerebral Palsy. I came in March 2024 really desperate for some help. I was in a lot of pain and my body needed strength training and stretching… both of which I can do by myself but… my body needed a new kickstart…
This place promises to do its best to empower you, and that’s what I got! JOHN CARLTON, the director of all the trainers now, took me on as a client. I didn’t know how much I needed a trainer until I had one. He is better than many of the physical therapists I’ve had growing up. I’m in my thirties so I owe a lot to him. My pain is substantially reduced, I have lost 20lbs, I am more mobile, … trust me… you’ll get out of what you put into coming here at Crunch. And say hi to John. He would love to hook you up with a trainer!!

The crunch fitness location in Columbia has some of the worst customer service I’ve seen and I have worked out at many gyms. It’s almost like they don’t teach their staff how to greet people, i mean most of the time I walk in and there just standing around talking to each other. Maybe part of it could be the fact that I’m a car salesman and expect good customer service in public places? But regardless other than that solid gym.

Fraudulent/unauthorized charges after trial. Thought like any other gym, membership would be cancelled upon non-payment. This place is a scam, they will keep coming. Citing some cancellation policy that is a cleverly designed trap to keep taking your money. These types of business practices are unethical and represent the owner’s values. Do business elsewhere.
I think the Crunch Employee Reviews speak to the ethics I observed.
For reference, I joined during a $0.06/month promotion. Before the trial was over, I said I wanted to cancel. They informed me I would be charged an annual fee and a cancellation charge, in addition to needing to give them 30 day cancellation notice (all things snuck into fine print… misleading of them to ignore that before and point it out afterward). A. I would have never signed up. B. Something that was supposed to cost $0.06 has cost over $100.00
C. They do not allow cancellations over phone or email. D. The trial was horrendous. Out of order equipment, and long wait times. Sauna never working. Employees annoyed to be asked about tanning services. E. I paid for a month to month no commitment membership. F. The owner comments like he is willing to help or discuss, but this is far from the truth and simply to distort the truth. G. At one point in my trial, I was offered a free month for referring a guest. I referred a guest, brought them with me several times. Never got my free month, and the manager was beyond rude when I inquired. Please stay away from Crunch. It made sense to try and take advantage of the promotions, but only because I didn’t realize the scam it is. Don’t make my mistake.

Total scam and ripoff. It’s a shame that people depend on places with practices like these to maintain their health.

When I came back because he gave me 2 lefts he seemed visibly annoyed and said "here you go" and threw the glove at me?
