Great track for walking … much safer than the rough sidewalks around here. Lots of other seniors working out during mid-morning or mid-afternoon so I fit in. Friendly professional staff!

Try to cancel my membership back in June 2025. Had to go online and fill out paperwork. Thought it was canceled and find out.I'm still getting charged every month!! Plus there are some multiple fees ??!Spoke to them multiple times prior and no one cancel over the phone.Cancel your membership! They want to take your money but don't want to let go of it monthly!!!!! I contacted the credit card company and i'm disputing the charges!! Fix the process!!!!!!! I'm also filing a complaint with the better business bureau!!

As a working mom, I was extremely disappointed by the treatment I received at the Edward Jones YMCA. I was denied entry simply because I had my children with me — despite the fact that the facility’s own Kids Zone is frequently at capacity. It’s frustrating and disheartening that there’s such little flexibility or support for parents, especially when the Y promotes itself as a family-friendly community center.
Beyond this experience, the facility itself leaves much to be desired. The equipment is noticeably outdated and not well maintained, and the cleanliness of the locker rooms and pool area and workout areas is below standard. The front desk staff can be unpleasant to deal with as the way they refused me to get in with my kids was shouting and people behind me could heard. For the membership fees they charge, I expected far better service, upkeep, and a more welcoming atmosphere for families.
Sadly, this experience has made it clear that this location is not considerate of the needs of working parents. I hope the leadership seriously reevaluates how they support families — especially moms who are simply trying to prioritize their health.

They make it easy to join remotely but very hard to cancel in person and trick you with extended fees. Basketball facilities are poor and schedule doesn’t reflect availability. Staff is rude and refuses to fix issues that arise. Onsite supervisor Kaylie is the worst. I don’t even know what she is doing there if she can’t solve any problems. All she does is hand out business cards of her bosses who are not on site and gives attitude to members.

I was excited to take my grandchildren here to swim. I had contacted the Y the day before and was assured that the children's pool was open. When we arrived today I was told that that part of the pool was closed but to ask the guard if useable. When we entered the pool on the lap lane side we started there but the guard said he preferred if we would go to the children's area. The water was available but not any of the equipment which defeated the purpose of going and what I had specifically asked about earlier. I understand that there was just one guard and it may be difficult to watch the whole pool but that is why I called ahead.
The most unsatisfactory part of the swim experience was the male guard. It felt like we were an imposition to him. I was there in the pool with my grandchild and no other children. There were about 6 other patrons in the lap lanes. The guard did not allow the 2 boys to touch each other. They were just holding on two each other playing around and I was right there correcting if necessary. Toward the end of the time my grandson just sat on the end of the non functioning slide. He was told to get off. This experience was not very pleasant and my grandchild felt that it and didn't understand what was going on. We were there about an hour and left.
I realize this was a type of change in the routine of the day but it was not a warm welcoming experience except from the front desk. I swim daily at a Y closer to me so I know there are routines and rules but I was not impressed with the experience.

Kaylee gave me a tour of the facility, She did a great job in showing me the many amenities they have and asking questions about what activities would interest me the most. She was super friendly and helpful and ultimately convinced me to get a membership! So far i’ve attended 2 group exercise classes and everyone is super sweet. Would recommend to all my neighbors.

This location is, in my opinion, the best YMCA in the Greater St. Louis Area! Staff are friendly, the building is clean, and their selection of fitness equipment is top notch. Further, natural light shines through the large windows that surround the entire building, creating a bright and airy atmosphere.

Maria, at the front desk, is wonderful. Equipment is all that I need it to be, but too many don't clean up after themselves. Hand sanitation machines have mostly disappeared, and the rest have no sanitation fluid in them--despite my numerous requests to change that situation.

I have been playing there for a couple years and in all my years I never been cheated out of a game. Jeremy the head of sports told my team that we had to play even though the coach is cheating. The referee was cheating and we told her she does know how to do her job . At the end we lost and coach end up playing his own team he had to different team and that not allowed so he make his bad kids play the “good kids”.

Whew, the girl on the phone was so polite, the people at the front desk was very polite. The manager seemed polite but was very condescending. I let her know she needs to train all of her staff on the same thing because the person on the phone told me one thing and the front desk attendant said another. She didn’t apologize for the inconvenience she pretty much gave the attitude “well this is what it is”. I get that but yall just inconvenienced me show some grace, accountability and apologize for the miscommunication on yall part.

This is literally the worst place i’ve ever tried to work out at. Summer camps take up every single thing here. I was just told I can’t use the basketball court until 8 because of the little kids at the summer camp. The pool was all occupied too. I challenge the owner of the Edward Jones ymca to a half court pick up game first to 7, we’re playing 1’s and 2’s. If and when I take your ankles on your own court I want to personally have the honor to make all those kids sit on the bleachers and wait for their turn like you’ve been making me do.

I like working out here. The equipment is nice, modern enough, the facility is clean, lap lane availability is good in the pool, and the price is hard to beat when comparing to the J and Lifetime.
I will say: I wish the fitness rooms were monitored better. Too often there are kids under 10 using equipment, taking up space, wandering around the cardio and weight rooms when they should not be in there.
I also want to know if towel service will ever return. It’s crazy to me that the main restrictions on gyms were lifted almost two years ago and towel service has not restarted yet.

Ok, full disclosure, i work here, but i am also a member, and have been to many YMCA's in this area, as well as both coasts of the country. I really enjoy this particular YMCA for the diversity on all levels and abilities for both members and staff. Maria is the consumate greeter in the morning, checking you in, learning your name, and making everyone feel welcome. Martin is the personable and responsive health and wellness director, assisting everyone with all things group exercise. Stephanie is the go to personal trainer, and there are many other great staff and members. It feels like an extended family here. Sign up up to 48 hour before a group class. We are back to normal amounts of participants for group classes. Masks are optional. Join for workouts, classes, and more, but stay for the great, friendly members and staff!

My family went to the pool of this location in vain two times in a row. First time, they didn't let my kids in because it was during the week days. There was no such information on the website. They should put that information on their website, I believe, especially in this summer break. Second time, they said there is no life guard on duty and we couldn't go into the pool. Before departure, I called them over the phone and they said I could come with my kids. But I had to drive back home again...

This pool is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. It discriminates against members children. During summer weekday the pool was closed from 12 to 2pm for their day care use. Why? My grand daughter and I just wanted to lap swimming. Told... children can swim on Saturday and Sunday. We pay 12 months out of the year. The day care camp kids are using for summer. Second time we were turned away from the pool for restriction. You should post so we can be aware of this ahead of time and plan our day accordingly. Post on paper because I am not putting your app. on my phone. Your door sign says open to All. Not true. You are bias against children. Tried to speak to the pool manager but no response. The OFallon Pool is very family friendly. It does not discriminate. Ed Jones Y certainly does and needs to take corrective action now.

I used to think that this place was equally nice to all races, until an incident occurred with my car being hit on their lot while I was inside working out and had to deal with them directly. I have a change of heart. Now I realize that they are rude and have bad customer skills Mitchell who said he a supervisor also rude . Said he does care about anything long as I pay July dues.!! Long story short I rather go to a place that at least care enough to monitor the parking lots. They had no concern about my car being damaged until I made the statement that I felt the way they were acting was racially motivated and that if I was white they would have handled it differently.

During a time I wasn't making it there regularly, my credit card on file was compromised. Edward Jones Family YMCA charged me $25, twice, for a credit card that was no longer valid, refusing to remove charges. So, not only was my credit card number stolen, but Edward Jones Family YMCA added to the problem, and refused to remove the charges. I called to resolve the issue, after reviewing my credit card statement. If they had contacted me before charging it twice, I could have given them updated payment information. Instead, I'll never pay them the charges, or return. I suggest you do the same. $50 for every person that has ever had their credit card information compromised has to add up nicely for them.

Later on when we went onsite around 2:00 p.m the other lady at the front desk gave us all the incorrect information about classes, payment ( we did cross check and corrected her as well) and infact we didn't feel like receiving from her at all. I came back to my home checked online and realized that the payment she told was totally incorrect.

In Short: If you live in Maryland Heights, go to their community center instead. It's newer and far less expensive.
I was a dedicated member here for almost 5 years. The staff is friendly and the machines are always clean. One of the attractions of this place over other gyms (despite its much higher membership fees) is the ping pong club. There was a table near the entrance that drew many people who played. Unfortunately, it was moved to the basement and became unplayable. Once this happened and the newly constructed Maryland Heights community center opened, there was no reason to keep coming here.
But I leave on a positive note: the Y has lots of classes that are free with membership. If that's something you enjoy, then it can be a good fit still.

My family and I use EJ YMCA every week for the pool, which is kept in excellent condition with clean and well-maintained changing rooms and restrooms. Even if Edward Jones Y is not the closest branch to where I'm at in the city, I choose to swim there over other branches because of the superior pool and numerous lap lanes. I also like to take advantage of the variety of fitness classes included in the price of membership, especially family yoga, zumba, and water fitness classes. We love our EJ YMCA!

Clean facility, nice equipment, super friendly staff, great group exercise classes. And my kids LOVE the pool! We’ve been a YMCA family for nearly 12 years and it feels like a second home. Highly recommend for summer camp!

Love this location because of the diverse community. My daughter was in the early childhood program here and we loved everything about! The only con is the parking. There’s many blind spots and elderly walking, so please drive slow and take caution.Thank you to all the staff for being apart of our lives.

We were lucky enough to have my daughter at the YMCA's early education program from age 6 months to 3 years when we moved out of state. I always knew I loved the teachers there, but I didn't realize how much they were like family until we had to try and find a new day care when we moved. The teachers are great, the lessons are valuable, and the out door play time is irreplaceable.

My family loves the Edward Jones Y. My daughter has learned so much by participating in the team sports programs specifically volleyball and basketball. Great experience all the way around!

Beware. They make it incredibly difficult to cancel. You must go in person to do it, and you will still be required to pay for an additional two months of membership.

Your policy of charging an additional month for services if you cancel membership after the 20th of the month is horrendous. It’s just another way for you to collect additional money.

My boyfriend and I have been a members here for about 2 years and have enjoyed the experience so far. There are tons of classes and activities for kids and adults. I personally have done the cycling classes and really liked it. I also have noticed there is child care, karate classes, swim classes, basketball teams, and summer camp available. There are two work out areas so sometimes if you go at the right time you can have the whole area to yourself! There are a good variety of machines in my opinion and the workout areas are kept very clean. The staff members are really nice and some of them even take the time to learn your name which is really nice. I haven’t done personal training but when I see them working with others they are very patient and accommodating. I think if you are looking for an easily accessible community gym, this place will meet your needs. It’s not fancy and intimidating like most gyms lol it’s just right

This review is for the swimming lesson here. Our daughter is taking the group class since last 1 year. The classes are really a “hit or miss”. If you get a good instructor, you are lucky (less chance as only a couple of good instructors can be found), otherwise you will just be swimming with the other 5 students in your group while the instructor probably doesn’t even pay attention to what each students doing... half the time the instructor is not even in the water, and most of them seem always very uninterested.
The pools are crowded, it’s hard to get space if you are coming in the evening time. During the morning on weekdays normally the crowd is less, but then they reserve multiple lanes for some or the other dedicated programs.
Basically, you get what you pay for, but I think after a years worth of swimming here I feel I should have spent some more money to go elsewhere even if it means a bit of driving, because now the money and time is spent and unfortunately it almost seems that I taught my daughter more swimming than the instructor and the lesson did.i

The facility is awesome, the staff is beyond friendly - extremely welcoming and engaging. They do so much more than fitness classes and swimming - community engagement, early childhood development, summer camp and other various programs all to support families and individuals within the community.

As a person who has been through numerous health clubs and gyms, I found it necessary to share my opinion with you. After reading astonishing experience in which I had with this clubs’ cleanness and their rude and unfriendly staff, most than likely you would agree with my opinion that this is by far one of the worst health clubs in the country. I have also taken a few pictures from the club in which I’m willing to share with you upon your request via email. The bathrooms and the showers always smell horrible the carpet is so dark and nasty in which you don’t even want to walk on it. Every day there is a mess in the toilet seats and showers and they won’t clean them. Sometimes the equipment’s are out of service for months without getting replaced. Having said all that, today vie decided to cancel my membership and join Golds Gym. Therefore, I’ve decided to speak to the club’s assistant manager (Woman name: Lena Eyermann) I’ve stated me complains along the reason I would like to cancel my membership. I was shocked by her astonishing response; “You made the right decision” Wow, so you are an assistant manager! – I’ve responded.
Honestly, my disappointment was not mainly based on her reaction as it was a true indication of her lack of family training, family root and responsibly. However, I’ve wondered how the higher-ranking managers are OK with her.
Please note, two of the five-star reviews have been written by the staff and faculty who work there!

Overall, I am satisfied with the facility. It offers numerous classes on a daily basis, included with the membership. We made a complaint about one of the shower heads in the family locker rooms and the next day the issue was resolved! The child day care is inexpensive compared to similar alternatives; it's okay.
Cleanliness? Absolutely. Do I bring my own flip flops while I shower anyway because it IS a public facility? Absolutely. Wouldn't you? Women's hair in the drain is natural, so be proactive and quit hating on the facility itself.
Improvements? The lifeless lifeguards in the pool have not been very active while on active duty... After all, most are probably just kids on their first job. They probably just need better training.

I wish there was a separate platform to review the Early Education program, but unfortunately there is not.
While this is embarrassing for me to share, I feel it’s necessary to protect and inform other families. I pulled my son from the daycare program abruptly. My son had a bruise on his bottom which my husband and I noticed and discussed with our other children. His 6 year old sister admitted to being rough with him and hitting him after he bit her. We addressed this with our young child, and didn’t consider that any aftermath would incur as a result of an already rough 2 year old boy having a bruise on his bottom. We sent him to daycare. The next evening CPS arrived at our home inquiring about the bruise on his bottom, questioning my 9 and 6 year old as to whether they felt safe in our home and mandating that we take our son for a “safe care” visit at the ER where he subsequently spent the next day and was required to have a urine test, blood test and a full body X-ray.
I was mortified. We have attended the same daycare program for two years. Our son is happy, friendly, well groomed and very smart. Not even a single conversation occurred with us to this regard. We were told, when my 2 year old child was asked about the bruise he answered the same way he did with us and said his sister hit him. The staff continued to question him repeatedly and he finally answer differently. The Director, Susan, escalated the situation and contacted CPS. His teacher told us during the interrogation of my 2 year old he also began to say “yes” to every question asked because he was either bored or confused.
No one from the Y ever contacted me nor my husband to advise CPS had been contacted. The CPS rep told me she attempted to call. The phone number provided to her by Ms. Susan was incorrect- I believe deliberately- despite the fact that we were required to fill out paperwork with all of our emergency info over 1.5 months earlier. When I asked Susan for the hard copy of the paperwork I filled out she couldn’t find it and condescendingly told me I was just looking for a reason to be angry. I’m sure any parent would agree being falsely accused of abuse and spending a day out of work with a 2 year old in the ER for arbitrary testing is a “reason to be mad”. I explained I understand mandatory reporting and I appreciate them for the job they have to do and asked what the next step was. Despite ample opportunity (I visited twice after this incident and phoned once) to make the situation right, Susan continued to state that she “followed the policy” and made no attempt or effort to fortify the relationship after this occurred to ensure I felt my child would be well taken care of. She quite simply didn’t care.
Next I escalated to her boss, Lena, and neither of them once asked how he was or seemed to care that the allegations of course were unsubstantiated and all testing came back clear. Neither party felt they owed us even a meeting or conversation on moving forward and seemed to think pretending nothing happened was acceptable customer service. It’s clear they’re both happy to collect your weekly dues, but have no real compassion or concern for the families they work with and no desire to ensure a positive working relationship nor uphold the Christian values The Y claims to represent. The teaching staff is wonderful, but the leadership is lacking and not driven by common sense nor warmth. It’s no coincidence that his teacher Maya- who advocated for us during this nonsensical witch hunt- left the Y for a better position shortly after this occurred. We were also made aware that the staff has escalated actual concerns of health and safety issues to leadership and no reports were ever made to CPS; leading me further to believe these reports were not only discriminatory in reporting, but made in ill intent. Best of luck to anyone who is drawn into this facility by the lower cost tuition. This ordeal has been devastating and I would hope no other family would ever go through such a thing. *edited to fit see full review on Yelp*

just
Now this place is also full of discrimination. Especially on weekend mornings, the people who go to work are not polite, very unfriendly, have no professionalism in the service industry, and the hygiene is very poor. Many people in the swimming area do not rinse first and go swimming directly. People are wearing ordinary clothes and getting into the water. It’s very bad. We have more than ten years of membership here, and we won’t come next month. Going somewhere else, this should be my last endurance limit.

For a community center, not bad; basically what they are. Large selection of activities and classes. Child care and camps seem nice. And sports teams as well. Not really for hard core athletes on a workout regiment since the place is a bit small for that with limited machines, not to mention kids running around, but great for price.

I went to the Y today and when I was done, heading to a table to eat a protein bar before I walked home, the woman behind the desk... Irma or Maria (her and another woman were talking about how the hurricane was named after her)...said, good work out Natasha? I looked at her and laughed BC I #1 looked like a truck hit me BC I worked out too hard and #2, I had a name. I wasnt customer, hey you, a client or a consumer. I was specifically named and recognized. And she did this for every person coming and going. This is amazing. Why can't it be like this everywhere? She needs a raise, a hug, a vacation, something special, to be recognized for recognizing people and asking how they are doing. Not as a passing by question but as a genuine concern and care. Thanks for hiring her!

This YMCA has THE most disgusting customer service ever! I have never been so disturbed by the lack of skill set or customer service that they provide. The executive director, Debbie, is a senile old bat as well as a delusional pathological liar who needs to take etiquette classes. She talks to members SO rudely as if she received schooling from Out of a cave! She has the skill set of an untamed animal! On top of that, the facility's equipment is not all the way up to par and they have the audacity to be rude! They also have so many leagues going at one time that it's impossible to utilize the facility that you're paying for! Lastly, TOO many changes in staffing and for the WORST! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!!
