A couple of months ago, we took a leap of faith and enrolled both of our daughters here. We had tried several other gyms, searching for the right fit, but nothing even came close to what we found in this incredible place. From the very first day, we knew—this wasn’t just another gym. This was home.

Our youngest is in Tiny Gymnastics, and for the first time, she’s truly learning, not just running around aimlessly. There’s structure, guidance, and care—things we struggled to find elsewhere. Watching her little face light up as she masters new skills is priceless.

Our oldest is in Beginner Cheer, and I can hardly put into words the transformation we’ve seen. She walked in shy and uncertain, but now? She’s confident, beaming, and filled with a sense of purpose. She holds her head high, knowing she belongs.

But it’s not just the classes—it’s the people. The coaches and staff don’t just teach; they nurture. They don’t just correct form; they build confidence. They don’t just run a gym; they create a family. And that’s exactly how they treat you and your kids—like family.

The tuition is beyond reasonable, but honestly, what they give to these kids is priceless. If you’re searching for a place where your child will be seen, supported, and truly thrive—this is it. I would drive any distance to give my girls this experience. It’s that special.

Great place to learn gymnastics and cheer. My young granddaughter has learned so much since she's been there. The staff is very friendly and patient with the kids. They make learning fun. I like how you're able to look down and see your child doing their training on the mats.

I have been to a couple gymnastic recitals and they were really lame. The music is childish and not much change in the few years in between performances. It seems they prefer to invest in cheer more than gymnastics. If you are looking for competition and an emphasis on cheer this may be your place. If you have a little gymnist and are looking for teamwork and tumbling I suggest looking elsewhere.

I love flipside so much I do competive cheer there and it's amazing all the coaches are so encouraging and helpful it's like a big family everyone is so understanding and will help and encourage you even if you just met! My kiddo started here seven seasons ago as a shy kid. She has grown into a confident, kind young woman who mentors and helps others.

Do we go to independent comps? YES and thank goodness. Varsity has been riddled with sexual abuse scandals that have been shoved under the rug and multiple lawsuits and I don't want my kid near that culture. (Yes, we've been to Varsity and we've done Summit and prefer non-varsity).

Do we score well? YESS! placement at any given comp is relative to who shows up and not something anyone can control. The score is something we can and we can do it with a routine and drivers. The gym hired a choreographer who is an expert on the scoresheet to max out the routine score and they do scoresheet reviews. I assess how the girls are doing based on how the team is improving, which both of her teams did this year. The score sharing is transparent and what the girls need to work on is transparent as well. One of our teams took second at The ONE nationals this weekend. The other, improved it's score over the season. Some seasons are good and some seasons we learn. That's with every sport.

My child has never been injured in the time she's been there, but with any sport, injuries happen. The staff is trained and certified in injuries and concussions and CPR.

The gym has done a wonderful job of taking feedback and putting it into action. They are thoughtful about picking their coaching staff. The owners have a goal of helping kids achieve confidence, empowerment, and be good humans. There is a family culture and a culture of committing to the kids once your kid is in the comp program. We all commit to each other and this shows when we go to events.

My child has grown individually leaps and bounds with this gym. We take additional tumbling classes and private lessons to help her achieve skills (she can be slower at getting new skills and this helps her with drills at home etc.) This is the real win.

FYI the coaches asked the current athletes families to flood their page with positive reviews. DO NOT GO HERE!! This place is a joke. More injuries than even imaginable. Incompetent coaching which shows through the scoring. If you want to pay to place last or be the only team in your division, then come here. There’s a reason why people drive 2 hours round trip to higher d1 gyms in the area when they live minutes from flipside. My daughter sustained multiple injuries, but most importantly, her confidence was stolen from her. The best decision we ever made was run from this place. It’s toxic as all get out as well. They do nothing but lie and pretend to score great. They place first, but leave out that they were the only team competing, so won by default. They are advertising a level 3 for next season, which is scary considering their level 2 has never hit at a competition and the amount of injuries is disturbing. You will only compete at independent competitions as they cannot compete at a varsity level. Please, please do your research! This place should be shut down. Every year so many athletes leave only for new unsuspecting athletes to come in. It’s a revolving door. Again, PLEASE research gyms or even talk to anyone in the area about flipside. I have not ever heard anyone say a positive thing about this place in the last 2 years. I have waited so long to post this and wanted to put this horrible chapter of my daughters life behind her, but now hearing that they are telling their current families to post positive reviews and lies makes me speak the truth. I wish I could give this place zero stars. Stay away! You have been warned!

We have been at Flipside for 4 years, entering our 2nd year of Elite Cheer. I have twins with different personalities and different athletic abilities. Each girl has been taught to the level of their own ability and without comparison. Flipside owners know my girls by name, Heather has even done several private lessons when she has filled in, she’s always smiling and energetic with the girls, the coaches are ready to help each child advance to their own full potential. Our cheer director is always present with supportive words for the girls and helping parents navigate the cheer world.
The girls must be focused, positive, encouraging, and a team player as this is a team sport and Flipside strives on building each other up. 👑

Flipside is amazing! I have been going to flipside for 7 years now. 3 years of miscellaneous tumbling classes and 4 years of competitive cheer. We have an incredible coaching staff, and the new facility is perfect. The parent patio is great for parents and friends to come watch athletes in class. The Gym is clean. I could go anywhere, but This Empire is where I choose to spend many of my evenings in training. It’s my second home❤️ I recommend this gym to everyone 🤍

My 13 year daughter joined Flipside at 7 years old in the gymnastics program. She was full of energy, so I enrolled her to give her an outlet. She loved it and excelled under Coach Terry. A few years later, she moved to the competitive cheer program, and we are now 4 years in with cheer. She has gained confidence, discipline, and a real understanding and appreciation of what it means to be involved in a team sport. The staff has always been friendly, responsive, and respectful of my child's needs - through sickness or injury, they have never pushed her beyond her physical limits. They do, however, push her to be her best with encouragement and support along the way.
It was a great decision for our family to join Flipside and I have enjoyed every moment watching my daughter flourish under their guidance and coaching!

My daughter has been part of Flipside for 8 years (since she was 3)! She has done everything from dance to gymnastics and now competitive cheer (currently 5th year in cheer). I couldn’t ask for a better gym. The coaches, owners, and cheer director are very welcoming. Flipside has alway provided a very safe environment for my daughter to advance her tumbling! Love the people here! The owner and director are top notch! We’re super grateful to have found this gym for our daughter! The mats and equipment are amazing and clean. They just replaced the parking lot and created a patio just for parents/guardians so they can watch the girls/students from outside. I know some parents don’t like that they can’t watch from inside at the door, but I personally appreciate the safety of who can physically walk in and hover. Safety and health is always my first priority for my kids!
Staff is always willing to help answer questions, which is great when you’re new to the CHEER WORLD!
Would definitely recommend this gym for any cheer/acro/gymnastics interest.

We have had the privilege of having our kiddo at this location for about 5 years or so now. She has learned so much while being here, not just about cheer, but about life in general I believe. She has learned about teamwork, positivity, leadership, adaptation, overcoming obstacles, and so much more! Our kiddo has made so many friends!!! Our family has grown quite close to not only the folks on all of the teams we are involved with, but all of the staff as well. Truly feels like a second home and we absolutely love and enjoy it all! We been apart of Flipside Empire for 7 years total but in the competitive cheer program for 4 years. I can’t even put into words just truly how amazing this gym is. This gym has became such a big part of our lives and has been such a blessing in our lives . Flipside is our second home. At some point all 5 of my daughters have attended classes there. Two of my girls do competitive cheer at Flipside and love every minute of it. This place disgusts me. I'm calling the better business bureau after I give this review, about their over the top fees. I don't know about their other classes. My granddaughter is a member of their junior 2 elite traveling team. The owners have been repeatedly asked by her parents for a meeting, no response.They expected a professional atmosphere and good coaches for the tuition that is being paid. They also expected organization and good sportsmanship. At the last completion parents were standing on the sidelines berating the other girls. The hotel had to issue a curfew, due to parents drinking in the lobby and the girls not being chaperoned. Their routines have been changed several times. The coaches expect the parents to help, and only acknowledge certain girls including birthdays. Also the coaches expect the parents to pay for the airline tickets and gifts to the girls? $300 for plane tickets for staff? There have been more than 3 injuries, currently my granddaughter is at the ER with a broken finger. On the web page they have already put up a new routine with no acknowledgement of her injury and she hasn't even seen a doctor yet. Very expensive and unprofessional!

This place is disappointing... the old location had "just a bit" more to offer. The parking is TERRIBLE but the real problem is the access. Grandma wants to go and see her favorite little cheerleader each week but they do not have an area accessible for the physically challenged! Tonight,they asked her to leave (she was near the front entrance because she can't do the stairs). How do places get away with this?? They just opened a couple of months ago - newly rehabbed building!!!
