I'm pretty frustrated about the recent price hike for pickleball. My cost to play with the same group at the same time shot up from $21.75 last week to $35.26 this week.

I want to be clear: this isn't about Kat. Kat is the Pickleball Director, and I truly appreciate her. She's actually the one who introduced me to pickleball last year and initially taught me how to play.

My issue lies with the lack of transparency regarding non-member pricing, which makes the experience feel slightly awkward with a mixture of unwelcoming. It seems like the price can be arbitrarily set, and I specifically felt pressured by the manager to sign up for a membership, despite my only interest being pickleball.

I was a Clayview member at one point last year, but I canceled because my sole reason for joining was pickleball. Even as a member, they charged a significant amount for events and even open play.

It simply didn't make financial sense to commit to a contract for a single activity, especially with those ongoing fees.

A successful business prioritizes customer transparency and puts its customers first. These practices feel unjust, and because of this, I'm considering reaching out to the Better Business Bureau to formally address my concerns.

We love the pool here but there is almost ZERO shade. There are three umbrellas, one of which is broken. The other umbrella is on a table and the other stands are broken. Starting in early August, there have been zero lifeguards which means the diving boards are closed. That’s a huge disappointment for my kiddo every time we come. Otherwise- we love the saltwater pool and kids area.

This club is full of great people! The staff are professional and go out of their way to accommodate members and guests. I’ve been a member for 6 years and have never had a bad experience at the club. Staff works hard to create opportunities for members to work on their skills. Never have I ever been to a country club but this one was super nice. The manager keeps water at every tennis court. There are inside and outside tennis courts. Out side there is an adult and a kiddy pool. Its over all a really nice place. I would defiantly get a membership.

My husband and I have been members at Clayview for 7 months now. I've taken numerous clinics that Doug teaches, and gone to several workouts that Andrew teaches. My tennis game and fitness level has improved tremendously in a short time period. When I want to change my routine up there are many options available including pickleball, swimming, and a gym for cardio and weight training. As if that weren't enough, we have had a great time getting to know the staff and other members. Great place!

Set up a lesson with Doug with one of the girls on the phone. When i got there she said she would call him, because he wasn't there yet, A hour and 15 minutes later he's still not there. They already took my money. So later i get a call from missy that says I've already taken 5 lessons this year I'll will have to join there member ship or i can't take anymore lessons.They knew i wasn't a member when i set the appointment up. So i asked to talk to the manager she said i am the manager, WOW she was so rude never apologize for the no show or even cared. What A shame Doug is awesome!
