Pretty much a perfect gym! Machines are always clean, receptions always nice, lots of fountains, spacious locker rooms. Free weight section can get packed at peak hours, but generally in the mornings/night there's not too many people + there's plenty of open racks so usually it's never 100% capacity.

Requires you to give a 30 day cancellation notice..what is this an apartment lease?! Also had to relocate out of state for a job that did not have a Golds Gym within 100 miles. They just want your $$ and are not willing to work with you- customers do not come first. Also Cardio Theater was down for 3 weeks when I was a member, which is one of the highlights of the gym.

Tried to cancel my memebership in march and was told id have to pay for april as well because i must give a 30 day notice. I thought that was reasonable so i asked to do so. Upon asking the worker at the front desk yesterday if my memebership was canceled he said it wasnt and that it didnt show i had fulled out the cancellation form. Thus was the first ive ever heard of such a form. Me and him talked over the fact that id now have to pay for may and i wasnt very satisfied with that so he gave me sean, the gms number ajd told me to talk to him about it and he was sure we could work it out. I went in today and talked to sean who said without proper documentation i could not get off after this month. But it was the worker in march who made the mistake of not giving me the form to fill out. Why am i expected to know their procedures, but the workers arnt? If i didnt know any better id say she might have not given it to me on purpose, but maybe it was a simple mistake. Either way golds is as fault and the gm says he is unable to to do anything in that regard for me because of no documentation. This was an unpleasant experience and they are basically trying to squeeze every last bit of money they can get out of me before im gone. I will not be able to recommend or return to a golds in the future because i dont support these kind of business practices.

Great gym. Very clean and lots of things to choose from work out wise. If you are looking to join and read any negative remarks , don’t look too close into them , you will get what you need here regarding every aspect . I’ve only been here a month and I won’t be going elsewhere . There will always be people disgruntled in any business. Most people just need hugs and cupcakes

Part 2 of 2 (1st part is listed under the Kirkwood location) As of 4/6/18, there is a pending charge of $38.09 and at this point, this has now become a continuation of fraudulent activity. I don’t know why I was charged $31.90 for there is NOTHING in my contract for that amount and I also don’t know why I was charged $38.09 on 3/9/18 because our contracted withdrawal date is every 5th of the month. We couldn’t reach ANYONE from the Corporate Office to handle it; was told that my acct was closed and that there is NO WAY that we would be charged, that the cards and acct info was removed; there is officially no on-site GM or OM for that matter at this time; being charged random amounts at random times; constantly told that it would be and was handled. And they were baffled at the fact that I said that I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come to Golds on a survey that I was asked to complete. Love the gym, but the business practices are Sub Par, FRAUDULENT and HORRIBLE. And yet initially we signed up and paid for 24-hour access to a gym that has since begin to close every night, but charge the same fee? Get out of here!

I was really enjoying myself here until I visited the hot tub. First off, the amount of used bandaids around the tub was upsetting at best. Second, the older lady that was also enjoying a soak fired off a red snot rocket that caught the current and chased me all the way to the stairs. I know this has little to do with the actual facility, but good luck separating the experience from the establishment.

This is one of my favorite gyms in the area. I'm so happy they reopened after the fire! The new design and layout is much more flattering and functional than it was previously.
*Make sure to lock your belongings in the lockers if you leave them unattended, as I've had a pair of Bose headphones stolen from me here.

I love Golds Gym! But not this one. I was one of there best customers I would say....I trainer with Steve DeNovi there. He prepped me for a body building show and feel short the week of. He was rude and mean when I told him how I felt. He is rude and cocky and ungreatful.... I would not recommend him as a trainer or coach....needless to say I won't be going back to that gym for a while.

Joined one month ago, great place. Lance Benoist helped us sign up. He is very kind and honest. We waited to join until we could get a good deal. Equipment is kept in good shape and we find everyone friendly and knowledgable. We use weights, cardio and the pool. Could do without the music, which is generally heavy metal with screaming. Bring earbuds.

This is a top notch gym. The equipment and facilities are new and of high quality. The staff goes out of their way to be extra friendly and don' t constantly hound me for a personal training session. Highly recommend.

The best gym ever! No, I do not work there lol. The staff actually cares about my health, not just about my membership fee. They want to know where I've been if I haven't been there in a while and when I walk, in instead of saying have a good workout they want to know what I'm doing. Because of my job, traveling 50% of the time it's hard not being at my home gym and I miss them so much.
There are so many options when it comes to membership and training packages so it's important to LISTEN to them all and ask questions to make sure that you pick the right one for you. Steve, Tracey and April have been my cheerleaders to live a healthier life. Still a ways to go, but if they haven't given up on me, I can't give up.

DO NOT SIGN UP! Great gym, BUT horrible staff and customer service! Tracy, the store manager was the opposite of helpful. Long story short, I was sold the wrong membership but kept getting charged $70 extra for months. I had to cancel my debit card and report fraud to my bank... THEN they started calling asking for membership dues. Emails and phone calls later I ultomately gave up working with them. I'll never belong to a Golds Gym the rest of my life.
