I had a terrible experience with golds and the General Manager Katie McGrory. She spoke to me like I was an insignificant person and when I tried to talk to her about her attitude, her attitude got worse. My daughters one 19 and one 15 were given 3 day passes to try out Golds Gym. The intention waa to see if they liked it and if I would change my single membership from a single to a family.
My 19 yr old went to work out with me at 5am and was never asked for a pass or made to fill out a form. My 15 yr old went to work out with me at 7pm and she was asked for the pass, asked to fill out paperwork and then informed that she was not allowed to try out the gym since she was under 18 even with me present. Gm Katie McGrory informed me that it was company policy that no one under 18 is allowed to use the pass and it does say that on the pass. I asked her why it was issued to me for a 15 yr old then she informed me she did not know but she couldn't work out. I told her about the morning issue with my other daughter and she said that meant nothing and that to was a mistake. She was so ignorant to me that I told her she had horrible customer service and I would just somewhere else she said ok and then ignored me then went back to her screen. She never looked back up to even acknowledge I was there.
I went to leave and a wonderful lady named Colleen (who I believe is the asst. manager) came out to talk to me. She is very nice and she knows how to talk a customer to make them feel like the business cares about them. If not for Colleen I would of cancelled my membership.
Kaite McGrory know nothing of customer service and she cares nothing for Gold image in the community, She treats people like they are nothings and they do not matter. Colleen should be running the gym then we the members might just matter. NEVER GO TO THIS GYM. HORRIBLE GENERAL MANAGER.

For the price, I don' think you can find a wider selection of equipment, free classes, a pool, & free daycare in the area.

This gym was nice and clean, although I couldn't find a jump rope. I'm from out of town and maybe they just do it differently in St. Louis, but you got to provide towels people!! No sweat towels, and No large towels for post shower use. Lastly, the lockers don't lock. Not what I'm use to with the San Antonio Golds, maybe b/c I use the old Spectrum gyms??

worked out at the Manchester Gold's Gym today. While getting ready to walk 5-Miles , I misplaced my Mp3 player. I told the staff-Liinn,Greg Phillip and Joe. They were happy to help me look for it, no questions asked:-) Well we did not find it, so I went home to get another one. When I got back they informed me that Joe found it between 2-Treadmill. I was so happy, your staff is friendly and efficient in their jobs. I've only been here 2-days , but have had a great experience each time!!!!

I love Gold's Gym Manchester!!! The staff is amazing! Everyone is always smiling and super friendly. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone I talk to. I love the classes. They have a great selection and very friendly instructors.
