Black Friday - sitting in the parking lot and they are closed. Website says 5 am open, Google listing shows 5 am open, no update on the app, no sign on the door. Amateur hour everyday at this place.
It is bad enough they don't clean their machines (worse than Club Fitness), or keep their gym tidy. I've seen the same trash on the floor beside a stairclimber for 5 days in a row, and the stair climbers have so much nasty grime on them, I am not shocked that 1-2 are always down for repairs.

Lifetime, please do better.

Customer service here is terrible. There was one poor girl working the front of Kids Academy by herself while 15+ parents were stuck waiting to check in and check out. Meanwhile, up at the front desk/concierge area, there were about six employees just standing around talking to each other and doing nothing to help.

I asked to register my kid for an event, and instead of anyone at the front offering to help, I was told, “Go to Kids Academy.” So basically I’m supposed to go stand in a 30-minute line while the people up front keep chatting about the weather?

For what we pay for a membership here, this is completely unacceptable. Either staff Kids Academy properly or train the front desk/concierge staff to actually step in and help parents instead of ignoring the situation.

Absolutely immaculate facility - easily the nicest gym in St. Louis. However, for the premium price, the limited hours are disappointing, and the ‘bring a friend’ policy feels unnecessarily restrictive.

I have been coming to life time fitness over two years and I had no complains at all until today, it’s a great facility overall with everything in it. But you should not close the space that you have for your customers for a paid event that’s is just not fair. If you want to have a paid event at least don’t ask your regular customers to exit the place, those extra bucks from paid event should not be more important than your customers’ satisfaction.

Blockage of weights (overrated herself coach)
First, team training is nothing serious or special workout than individual’s workout. Do not cover it by win-lose policy. Majority members doesn’t disturb a class training, which is we are respect for that. LT is Members based business, & emloyees paid by members. In my approximately calculation, that weight training area block all weights’ more than 40%. In certain area close to 20 members, and more than 40 people using a left over 60% weights or in wait.
1. I was doing my workout this morning. I was needed a kettlebell heavy weight. Coach lady said that class uses all weight in same time. That class has 16 members and they were divided in three parts so their ONLY 6 members(I counted 5), their 5 of them using kettlebells by pair. Those active using kettlebells was less than 25% of total kettlebells, it meanst that 75% was blocked by her and useless. I don’t blame other members, it was just her. So what is make sense? I am not disturbed her class, during few seconds break I can take a gear from lefts.

2. Coach lady should learn and study LT’s community life. I am not arguing with her job and self efficient performance. Maybe she is good for her.

3. Administration team should reconsider the win-lose policy. I want “WIN-WIN”. This is also depending on your coaches’ mindset, education, experience (experience is not just number, experience is skill).

4. Do NOT think about you are special. Each member deserves a right service.

Worst experience of my life. Alex the manger doesn’t care neither do the front desk associates. Do not pay for this horrifying joke of a staff. Remember you are in Missouri no need to pretend you are something great. It wasn’t the guest experience it was when your front desk lied and said I was good to come in today when I got to the front desk they said no. Please train your staff better. Lying to potential customers is unacceptable. Plus they don’t care about anything. Attached is the call log history.

The gym itself is great. Just dont go if there is a chance of inclement weather. Ive now had several workouts ruined. They will makes you stop working out mid workout during bad weather and force you to go downstairs "for your safety" but then allow everyone to stand and sit by the windows.

This place was fine 5 years ago. Now it is overbooked , and overcrowded all the time. No space to park your car. All cardio and gym machines are taken and many are broke. I suggest doubling the membership fees to shake off some of these members and give more attention to the facility and services.

Lifetime is a great place to be in Frontenac. There is sate of the art machines with space in between each one. There are tons of free classes that come with your membership. There are tumbling benches and lots of floor space. Aziza the club manager is awesome! I strength train with a trainer there and it has made a big difference in my life. The cafeteria and they have a coffee with e bar with a barista and he makes some wicked good coffees, lattes, and really any coffee drink you want. It's clean and just a nice place to hang. Oh they have study rooms and a large library quiet work room with tables. My husband uses the pools year around and likes how they are maintained. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++++ BEST GYM IN TOWN JUST NOT AT COUNTRY CLUB PRICING!

Some of the staff and clients are racist!! They’ve said things to my partner and myself about using amenities and not others. We pay $600 a month for a membership + thousands for additional services to not feel welcomed. This gym was convenient because we live in the area. We’ve paid way less and was well respected. How can I have an important phone call, briefly speak and a grown adult “go tell” in the sauna when there are multiple conversations going on in the sauna. No harm to anyone. Why are you people so mad at life? Is it because I’m well off? This is a different time and age. I work hard for the life I want to live. Then an angry yt woman locked my coat in the locker. Why touch the locker if your things aren’t in there. Any time I see someone things in a locker that isn’t locked I DO NOT TOUCH. It’s NOT YOURS!! Why would you touch someone’s things??? We’ve come in peace. No one pays thousands of dollars a month to be harassed or feel threatened. If I’m using one of the machines, a staff shouldn’t tell me I can’t be in a certain area when there’s multiple people in the same area and the machines aren’t being used and there’s not a class or anything. How are there restrictions? If it’s an exclusive piece of equipment or an extra charge put it away exclusively. Not have it in the open and it’s included in the membership then be told we can can’t use it.

LT Frontenac is wonderful place. Gym community mostly experienced, positive, nice people (I am not gym rats, other people gym rats). LT Frontenac should consider, involve, and improve the some important points/ issues. Where is the value!!. I took pictures since May, bc it was considerable that not clean, unorganized equipments, messy customers, and irresponsibility employees (including two trainers).
1. Employees: I don’t wanna mention here someone’s name. Your two trainers are taking/bringing the specific equipments for their clients from proper place, however they never replace it back properly, just threw away or leaving it in same place where she/he used that boxes, weights, dumbbell,& barbell. Specifically, they ask the boxes from customers, we gave him, unfortunately your coach didn’t bring the boxes, he just left on the way his used boxes.
2. Employees: Your coach took someone’s active using a barbell when he just left his spot for some weights. I hope that he remember me. I told to him that somebody is there. (He was doing his workout, not for trainees). In the LT, your employees must be positive representatives.
3. Employees: Not clean-you guys didn’t check the clean, and sanitary for long time, you can see my attached pics.
Women locker room is getting clean since April, and May. But some employees not doing proper the job. Last Monday, I was there around 12pm-2pm. I saw one customer left on the floor with blood towel. Around for an hour, LT employee didn’t come, check the around (even steam room had used towels inside).

4. Customers: Pls do not block the equipment by your phone, hoodies, and keys, while you’re not there (weight station is fine, you can use for hours, bc you are lifting, but other equipment’s are not, for example back, leg extensions, leg curl, & shoulders). Some people just block the equipment then talking with somebody too long. A few old guys are very bully. Sorry, I can’t take your bully, it doesn’t work at all. Old ladies should close the shower doors, specially my Asian community sisters.

5. Rude customers: Many things depending on us, which means customers. I was taking a shower, my bag was by the shower door, I am gonna take my shampoo, but one lady naked (not covered body at all, she ask me by aggressive tone, “you done”?. She was looking inappropriate. Pls, cover the body, many little girls, teenagers are used the women locker room, same time with us.

We've been members for years and I absolutely love it. Let me give you some context so that this review makes more sense.

We moved to this country from London in the UK, about a decade ago and we came to St. Louis to launch and run our startup - Tallyfy. It's an app that runs workflows. In London this kind of club would be very difficult to find.

We really appreciate the kids club and our son loves it too. It's amazing how they understood what parents with smaller children wanted and also added the parents' night out thing, which is quite difficult to secure unless you're very quick with your fingers! Always fun.

When visitors come from London we take them here as guests and they absolutely love it! Staff are great, and it's nice that they've stopped new memberships to prevent overcrowding.

I want to share a recent experience at Lifetime Fitness to highlight the importance of customer experience and to help improve it for everyone, especially when it involves children. I had confirmed with staff that my wife, who is not a member, could drop off our son and wait in the café. After several calls and voicemails, I was assured this was acceptable. However, when my wife and son arrived, they were denied entry. This disrupted our plans and deeply upset my son, who was eagerly looking forward to his class.

While I understand policies are in place, the way this situation was handled showed a lack of consideration for the feelings of a child. Goodwill should have been shown because this was due to their misinformation, not as if we were asking for a favor. Allowing my son to attend his class despite the confusion would have gone a long way in showing that Lifetime Fitness values its members and their families.

Customer experience is crucial, and I hope Lifetime Fitness will address this issue to ensure better communication and empathy in the future.

I joined Life Time shortly after COVID, over three years ago. The building plan is spectacular. I've visited other Life Time locations when I traveled for business and this location is among their best.

But in January 2024 things began to decline. Of course, every gym gets busier in January. NYE's resolutions, winter forcing us inside all add to a more crowed gym. After twenty years of experience in gyms I know how to schedule my visits accordingly. And most members willingly allow each other to "work in" to facilitate more efficient use of the equipment. I certainly do.

But this spring things did not improve. As it turns out, LT oversold the gym. They aren't the first business to try to maximize their revenue, but the epic fail is surprising as LT has every member scan in and has great metrics to predict capacity, barring a use pattern significantly different from historical usage.

All gyms strive to encourage members and staff to return equipment to its proper place, wiped down, after each use. But this becomes more difficult with overcrowding. By April 2024, this location was a wreck. In all my years as a gym rat, in gyms across the country, this LT location was out of control. It felt that I was spending more time walking the gym looking for equipment than actually working out. Anecdotally, the training staff seemed to be a big part of the problem.

To make matters worse, the two class sections on the floor and all the equipment in those areas, were off limits to members. These sections contain 54% of squat racks, 80% of kettle bells, 40% of dumbbells, all the steppe benches, and so on.

I suggested to management that they consider asking class leaders to accommodate other members and allow working in, particularly when the class is not using the equipment.

The picture attached is of the squat racks, seven of which are empty but cannot be used because they are in the Alpha area. Of the six that were available to members, two were used by off-duty trainers for the entire hour. I was fourth in line, but ended up waiting 45 minutes for a rack to open up.

I emailed the general manager, who forwarded it to the "concierge manager" who forwarded to the "group training manager". She responded that when a class is in session, no matter the number of participants (even just 1), members cannot enter the area to use the equipment. Kindergarteners share better. Neither the GM or the concierge manager, both of whom know me (I would hope so after over three years) ever reached out to ask if my concerns were answered. Then again, they rarely leave their offices.

Sadly, an excellent facility has become virtually unusable. The over all culture now is inward looking, ignoring member experience.

In the end, I'm a gym rat. The other features of LT, Recovery Room, Cafe, Classes are nice, but if it takes over two hours for a ninety minutes workout due to poor capacity planning and management makes no accommodation for members it's just not with the $3000 per year. I loved this place, but I'm reminded that it's foolish to love things that won't love you back.

And no surprise, they never credited back the pro-rate of the member fee.

Had an interesting experience at this location today... when there was an issue with my membership(which l wasn't aware of), the front desk girl was clueless and helpless. I tried to show her proof of my member ID, and she just kept saying that l wasn't in the system and currently there is a waitlist for new members. I'm not upset at her about the problem. What's interesting is her attitude, and that fact she is front desk but she is not here to help/offer customer service. In the meantime, another front desk guy was able to figure out a solution to let me in for this time. He also provided me updates on my situation when l was on my way out. A good customer service is a problem solver, not a robot. I get it rules and rules but at least show me some respect and gratitude when I'm paying the expensive amount of membership fee per month.

I recently encountered a situation at Lifetime Frontenac in that left me quite concerned. While using the locker room facilities, I noticed a man who was using the sauna and hot tub naked despite the presence of children. This made me very uncomfortable, especially considering the environment. When I reported the incident to the manager, Alexandria (or Alexis), she seemed indifferent and did not take any action. Later, when I called the corporate office, I spoke with someone named 'Naan' who assured me they would handle the situation, but I never received any follow-up. When I followed up months later, I learned no report had been filed. This lack of attention to serious concerns regarding safety and appropriate behavior in the gym is disappointing. I hope the management team takes these concerns seriously and implements necessary measures to protect all members, especially minors.

The employees always give me dirty looks when I asks for requests such as more towels in the locker room

I use to enjoy coming to this gym once and while using a day pass. It was nice to use the amenities and find some reprieve from a long work week. I would pay the $50 for a day, workout in the gym and read a book in the sauna. Then enjoy a bite to eat in the Cafe.

Unfortunately, they no longer offer day passes. I additionally asked if I could purchase a one month membership. The lady working the desk expressed that I could but she didn't know how to do that. Which I am not sure why you would have an attendant at the desk that couldn't perform this task. It's kind of like having a cashier that doesn't know how to use a cash register.

The facility is great, don't get me wrong. I had a membership in New Orleans years ago. But it was much cheaper than here and the people were much kinder down in the South.

This facility is receiving one star because of their lack of flexibility with paying customers. If you offered something before, you should keep to your policies that help everyone feel accepted into your facility. Additionally, you should be training your employees to perform the tasks that make your facility money.

As a gym and wellness improvement center, you need to do better.

So I was a member for over a year and a half, I joined after I gave birth to my child and gained weight. When people talk about fat shaming at gyms I finally know what they mean. No matter how many times I saw some of the members and smiled while walking by or gave a friendly wave, the amount of judgemental looks I received was astonishing. It happened in enough areas in the gym to make this a culture thing. Especially at the swimming pool.

Life Time's recent handling of my membership upgrade request blatantly contravened their own Guest and Club Policy. I have a Signature 2 membership and despite explicitly stating under “Membership changes and Information” that authorized members can make changes, including upgrades, they forced me into an unreasonable corner: cancel my existing membership and reapply. This, after I had already paid for a full month, with no offer of a refund. Their inflexible approach, deviating from their stated policy, felt not only unfair but also dismissive of my membership rights. This experience was deeply frustrating and undermined my trust in their system. I have been a lifetime member for over 7 years, and had to cancel because I am currently in school. The fact that I had to drive home instead of coming to a resolution is disturbing. San antonio’s lifetime is also quite frankly much nicer, yet I am denied access here after days of being told that everything is all good for days prior. Lifetime is breaching their contractual agreement with me.

This has been an ongoing issue during my time at the gym, and it's disheartening. This was a fantastic gym when we joined three years ago, but I'm sorry to say that it has gone downhill significantly.
1) The behavior of many gym goers has declined at this location, with groups of people parking themselves around some of the weight training equipment and taking their time/socializing while others are waiting to use the equipment.
2) The Kids' Academy used to be fantastic for our kids, but now everything seems to be waitlisted unless you register far in advance, and many times classes kids were signed up for have been canceled without any explanation or warning.
3) The family locker room becomes overrun with campers at times during the summer.
4) The last time we picked up towels at the outdoor pool, the girl folding the towels acted like we were inconveniencing her.
The bottom line is that LifeTime charges a premium price supposedly in return for a premium product, but they have allowed the facility to become so crowded that members now have a poorer experience. The manager's response to all of this is that the location is "considering" having a wait list in the future and capping membershp at a certain number. That doesn't help right now. And they are raising their prices for new members going forward, so I'm sure they don't care at all when we cancel our membership at the end of the month because we will likely be replaced by others who will be paying a higher monthly rate.

It's too bad that LifeTime has allowed this to happen. We were really excited when we first joined, and now we feel disillusioned.

The facility is lovely. It's never too crowded and the equipment is all clean and in great shape. My only qualm is that staff at the front desk are pretty clueless. I bought a 1 day pass and no one seemed to know how it worked. I waited ~20 minutes for a manager to come and tell them I was perfectly fine to go work out.

Fantastic facility!! I was wondering why my friend spends about three hours at her gym, and now I get it. It's more like a gym experience. She invited me as a guest so I could enjoy a Swedish/Deep Tissue CBD oil massage at the spa by Shannon, which was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful as we scheduled pre-workout heat packs and a hydromassage session. The facility is gorgeous with so many amenities and classes to pick from. The indoor and outdoor pools are beautiful. We enjoyed lunch in the cafe and had a great time. I learned these gyms are located throughout the US so you can enjoy when traveling. Definitely recommend.

Biggest complaint is squat racks set up facing each other and half are usually taken by one of the classes happening every morning. Rather than facing a mirror to squat, you’ll be staring directly at someone’s face. Facilities are beautiful, love the steam, pool, locker room, etc. Cafe workers and front desk are always friendly. It’s almost always crowded.

The gym, classes and facility are all great. However, being a signature member it is frustrating the hydromassage tables, and Pickle Ball are always fully booked and no one shows up. The tracking needs to improve. Also sometimes people jump into the hydromassage tables without an appointment. We use this for chronic illness so this gets frustrating.
1. Put a tablet at the front desk for check in to free up staff for questions.
2. Put a tablet up in the recovery area and start penalizing for no shows.

It's a very large gym. They have a lot of equipment, classes and amenities. With any big gym comes some issues. They have a very nice pool area and serve food. It depends on what you are looking for in a health club. The instructors are excellent. They gym can be very over crowded and parking can be a problem too.

This facility has gone downhill since it's opening. They allow way too many members, they don't keep up with cleaning, it's near impossible to get in a classes or other services they offer. The cleaning stations are often empty and they don't enforce there own rules. People leave weights on the equipment and floor
The management here is unqualified.

While I love the group fitness classes and am a member of the Lift Time Frontenac from its inception, I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism when calling. First, you do not talk to someone at the location even though the number appears to be local, it is routed through a call center. My most recent encounter was to cancel a class 1 hour and 48 minutes in advance. You cannot cancel a class online after 2 hours and must call. As a business owner, I at times must change my schedule due to my job. I was reprimanded my the call taker and told this was my one time chance to cancel. There was no waitlist with many opening. I was shocked by the attitude of the call center. Wow. If it were not for the prime location of the fitness center and the fact I love the group fitness instructors, I would think about going somewhere else.
Update: If it is not because they are 4 minutes away from where I live, I would never go to a Lifetime facility. They must make an effort to hire some of the rudest and unhelpful front desk people. I understand in 2022 finding good employees is difficult, but anytime I call, I just know I am going to dread the experience.

Visiting from the Chicago location while I was back home, drove 25 minutes with my sister and was denied the guest pass for “being understaffed” how does that even make sense when we were just working out? Terrible service by the front desk on August 21st. For the price of the gym this is inexcusable.

It's a stunning building with a ton of resources. But when I tell you that staff looks miserable, I really mean they look miserable. I went as a guest one time with a friend, and WOW let me tell you: the staff that were cleaning and on towel duty looked exhausted and fed up... I mean it. I mean I don't blame them. Since I was nosy, I eavesdropped on some of the female employees in the locker room with one on the verge of tears. The things they were talking about and what their manager was doing and saying to them was egregious. They were working so hard doing laundry and providing a clean space for us members. I only saw the manager once: she saw towels in the bin and asked one of her members to pick it up for her when it would be faster to just do it herself. Whoever is in charge of the cleaning department needs to be strongly re-evaluated because I can tell you that the lack of energy and enthusiasm is not something that comes from the employees , but stems from the manager. Not only was it this one department, but the whole aura of the employees seemed off. I don't blame ANY of them. When I asked them a question about the location of something, they were some of the most polite young men and women that I have ever met. I blame management. I beg of this location: please re-evaluate who you hire as management. It seems there is maltreatment going on and it is time to stop. I will continuously warn people away from this location because I do not support this heinous treatment. Fix yourselves for God's sake.

This used to be a great gym for the first year. Now it is absolutely overcrowded- you have to wait for the weights you want, people throw their mats down all over the place with no organization. Most weekends there is no where to sit at the pool. The “co working” space is also crowded and people who use it have no sense of shared space- they are on the phone, taking zoom calls, all in what is supposed to be a shared work space.

I am returning to the States after 8 years abroad and I must say, this was quite the experience. The environ that the CEO and staff have cultivated here is super zen. I love the ambiance and appreciate all the little touches.

The club is one of a kind and this location is ranked #3 in the nation and Canada. I can certainly see why.

I came in for a massage with Naomi Collier. My session with her was nothing short of amazing. I get massages regularly so when she managed my tenderpoints by utilizing her knowledge of anatomy and physiology, it took my experience to a new level. She's tiny so I gather her strategy is all technique, pure skill. Five stars.

Loved it. Highly recommend the LifeTime experience.

First things first for the money you pay which is around $190 with tax should go to a clean facility no matter what time it is. The showers are super dirty around 7-8PM no one cares about it. The floors in the bathroom are filthy. Some people tell you one information about freezing your account and someone else tells you something else. This is absolutely not acceptable. You have to go to the place to cancel a membership or freeze it. But then when you go inside someone else will tell you that you don't have to come in which is absolutely inconvenient.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOR WILL I RETURN BACK. MIND YOU I'VE WENT THERE FOR 1 YEAR AND ITS MY HONEST REVIEW ON THEM.

They were charging me more for 6 months even though I kept calling and emailing about it. Then their policy on bringing a guest changed. Now you can only bring a guest every 60 days. Staff is rude unless you are incredibly wealthy and have no knowledge around fitness. That’s how they make their money. They prey on those who don’t know anything, and set them up for the group classes, or personal training, but the trainers don’t have much experience. I understand it’s COVID and there are work shortages, but they should not just be hiring anybody.
This location also charges more than the chesterfield location, yet they lack the amenities.
This is just a beautiful building that was put in Frontenac. They’re able to charge more because of the demographics. Canceled my membership finally.

Although great facility and I was able to use it for one day without any issues, staff at the front desk pretty much turned me down as I have the regular $100 lifetime membership. VIPs only here I guess. Can’t believe they would turn down their own members that have the basic membership. Management needs better rules than this and should not be turning down their own members just because we don’t have “premium membership”.
