Having just competed on Sunday at Masters Legends powerlifting meet, I wanted to have a good reload workout while traveling for work. I looked for who had a good Day Pass and featured Bench/DL platforms in the Social Media posts. (I have been to a lot of sub optimal gyms where I wouldn't feel comfortable hitting a respectable bench there.)
Lift STL certainly met my needs. They had many racks & locations to bench press -- no waiting on the sole bench press. They had top notch Sorinex equipment throughout. A wide variety of barbells / equipment to meet any specific needs -- including one Strongman log, DBs up to 120#, about all the machines you could need, and lots of turf for conditioning drills.
If you need it, they likely have it. Personnel were kind and welcoming & put up with my occasional #OldManNoise while lifting. Facility was clean, easy to get to, & lots of nearby parking.

Outstanding gym in a great location in Brentwood. The equipment is top notch and the facility is always clean. Most importantly they have the best staff. There is a great atmosphere here with staff and members. You can tell the owner and his team are passionate about what they do. I have recommended Lift STL to both my family and friends.

I first reviewed Lift STL years ago, and after recently coming back, I can confirm it’s still amazing. The equipment and facility are top-notch, and the people are as welcoming as ever. If you haven’t been here yet, you should definitely give it a try.

Great atmosphere, equipment and staff. The atmosphere was very inviting and cool place to get a quality workout in. The equipment was new and up to date and kept well. The staff is amazing both times I’ve been thanks to Trent and Georgia!

Perfect gym for ego lifters. Definitely become a member if you like waiting to use the squat rack because someone’s hogging multiple pieces of equipment or the local gym rats feel the need to have 30 minute conversations around them. I’ve kept my membership only due to the quality of the equipment and staff.
Edit: The machine hogging/long water talks around the equipment has gotten better recently. Sadly, all of the gyms treadmills (only 3) slip. Seems like the belts need adjusted. Hopefully they fix this because I actually enjoy this gym.

Lift-STL has changed my gym experience forever. Lift is the first gym I've been a member of to genuinely motivate me in bettering myself. The atmosphere at Lift is awesome and the people are even more awesome. Members are so willing to talk and give advice while the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I love the vibe and the top of the line equipment that aids in my newfound motivation and love for weight training. Not to mention the availability of healthy pre and post workout snacks with their merch is great. Love it all!

I’ve been coming to Lift for 3 years now, and they have been so consistently clean, great equipment, and friendly staff. As a woman in the gym world it’s important to find somewhere that I feel safe and judgement-free and this is it! I walked in because they have several squat racks, and stayed for the fantastic community.

I've been a member there for years, today coming in the gym I was racially profiled to not have a membership after stating multiple times that i was a member. Staff member repeatedly ask for my name as if I did not have membership. There was confusion around bringing a guess where it was thought or made to seem as if the guess had a membership and that I was lying about being a member. I have been racially profiled before and this was exactly that. besides the racial profile...great gym I would recommend 10/10.

Joining Lift-STL has been one of the best decisions I've made for my health and fitness journey. The atmosphere is always welcoming and I feel motivated every time I step through the doors, whether it's early in the morning or after a long day at work. A big part of that is thanks to my personal trainer, Trent Weston, who has completely transformed the way I approach fitness and nutrition. Thanks to Trent and the Lift-STL fam, I’ve seen major improvements in both my strength and overall health. I’m genuinely grateful to be part of this community and look forward to what lies ahead!

Lift-STL is by far one of the best gyms I have ever been to. As a college athlete I was no stranger to the gym, but I got to a point where I didn’t want to go and found myself dreading workouts. After graduation the saga continued, until I found Lift STL. The gym and staff and completely changed my life and I have never been happier and healthier mentally and physically. The gym is a wonderful and friendly environment where people of all fitness levels come together and train as one. Each staff member is so helpful, and truly care about your fitness goals. They are there cheering you on every step off the way! 💪🏼

I can’t praise Lift-STL enough! From the moment you walk in, everyone is incredibly welcoming and friendly. The owner, Eric, stands out for his kindness to everyone who walks through the doors. He perfectly embodies the gym’s mission statement and has a unique ability to connect with everyone in a genuine way.
I also want to highlight one of the trainers, Nick. He is fantastic to work with, always fun and encouraging. Nick allows me to take my time but knows exactly how to push me to be my best. His sense of humor makes every session enjoyable.
The overall culture at Lift STL is amazing. You won’t find another gym with such great prices and such high-quality people and equipment. Highly recommended!

I felt that my review of Lift-STL would be incomplete without a little backstory. Prior to joining Lift, I spent months on end crying in the parking lot after every workout (at a different gym,) largely because I felt stuck and helpless with my fitness journey. I was temporarily paralyzed from a rather severe herniated disc and was discouraged from movements since I was 16 years old. It scarred me and made me afraid of working out, given that I often walked out of gyms with more injuries than strength.
Fast forward, I met with Trent at Lift and began sharing my multitudes of concerns regarding training and expressed that I needed some reassurance. After a thorough evaluation, we set our training plans in motion and I have not looked back ever since. It has been 10 months since I joined Lift and I could not be happier and prouder. Here's my well-marinated thought and review of Lift-STL, broken down in 4 essential criteria (in 4C's!) for someone who might find this useful:
1. Competence -- Every trainer at Lift is knowledgeable and extremely generous in offering insights. There is no short cuts to how they train their clients. They also practice what they preach. Trent makes informed decisions with my training menu and has always been very intentional in what he incorporates into my training menu. For someone who has had traumatic experience with movements, knowing the why and how is crucial to me.
2. Community -- When I'm not there, they notice it. When I make progress, they make it known to me. It's nice when you not only feel seen but also celebrated as a member of the gym. It has truly become my second home away from home (I'm a STL transplant and have moved across countries and cities). Lift is honestly one of the biggest reasons why I do not want to relocate to another state. This gym is top notch and by far my favorite (I've been a member of probably 10 gyms).
3. Cost-efficiency -- This has been a concern for me in the past when I was first introduced to Lift. Having had bad experiences with both high and low end gym membership costs, I wasn't sure if the service was worth the money. I WAS WRONG. This is by far the most I have gotten out of my investment; the facility and equipments simply make sense and are conducive to a serious training regimen, and I've been steadily making progress both in strength and muscle gain. In the long term, this has saved me money and time. HIGH YIELD.
4. Culture -- Their passion for fitness and their love for the community is so, so evident across social media, daily engagements, and grander initiatives like the Transformation Challenge. It creates an echo chamber for individuals who strive to be better every day and having the resource to do so. They meet you where you are and take you where you want to go.
Final thought: Don't you think it sucks to fail at what you love? That was me a year ago. I loved lifting but I couldn't grow further on my own. Lift-STL helped me become who I want to be by offering their resources, expertise, and support so that I'm no longer alone in my quest for excellence.
Thank you <3

I was hesitant for years to join a gym and work with a trainer due to herniated discs in my back. Eric spent 30 minutes with me on the phone discussing my concerns and goals, and I made the leap in October 2023 to start training with him. His program design is thoughtful and challenging, and I always feel like he is careful but progressive in putting together my workouts. I can't recommend Eric and his whole team enough! If you're considering giving weight training a try but might be concerned due to an injury, this is the gym for you!

In the last four or so years, I've discovered a love for powerlifting. Too many commercial gyms around Saint Louis seem to condone this behavior and won't even let gym goes use chalk to assist with heavy dead lifts or such that would benefit from this. At Lift, your goals, no matter what they are, are encouraged! And they allow chalk, which is immensely helpful.
From Lift's helpful staff to easy going disposition, this is a fantastic place to join Saint Louis's weightlifting community. Go sign up today!

Loved hitting up Lift STL after work. When most gyms are obnoxiously busy in the evenings, Lift was chill. Savannah at the front desk was super welcoming and friendly, and all the other lifters were kind and respectful. I didn’t have to wait for any machines or try to carve out my space.
Overall loved the space and vibe, plus you’ll find some cool equipment there you won’t see at many gyms.
Give it a shot 💪🏼

Small gym atmosphere. Not too crowded, but as they grow they will need to find a bigger space. The equipment is well maintained and kept tidy. The gym is located in a good spot with ample parking. Definitely a lifting spot as it only has two traditional treadmills. It is 24/7 though as a member and that is very nice.

Easily my favorite gym in STL. In terms of highlights, the gym has tons of racks and places to deadlift, there is no shortage of bumper plates, normal and thick gripped dumbells going up to 100lbs+, lots of conditioning equipment, a reverse hyper, huge variety of bars including women's Olympic bars, ssbs, a Texas deadlift bar, and a log press. Finally, the hours are hard to beat. They're open 24/7

Great gym! Everything is all new, including very high end equipment. (Rotating dumbbell handles!) Eric and his staff are great. Though it's a gym focused on performance training, it has a low pressure atmosphere that would be comfortable for anyone. I really enjoy the 1 on 1 training, but it's also nice to have 24 hr access for a quick solo workout. If the big box gym isn't cutting it for you, give Lift-STL a chance, you will love it.

Hands down the best gym in St. Louis. Convenient, central location for people that need a gym that is easily accessible to their life, it’s 15 min from anywhere in St. Louis.
But that’s not the most important part. The attention to detail while selecting equipment for this gym was unprecedented in the area. There is equipment in here most gym goers have never seen or been able to use before outside of professional athletic training facilities.
AND the equipment isn’t even the most important part...The personal training and attention to detail and programming put in by the training staff at Lift is above all the best thing. If you are looking for results, any results...lose weight, gain muscle, increase overall life health, highschool/college/professional athletic training this is why you need to check Lift out. These are real trainers that provide specific plans and workouts tailored to you, not some $9.99 cookie cutter program from Instagram.
The owner Eric Humes is present daily and invested in what he has put together at Lift. Try something homegrown and local with a lot of care and attention to detail...you won’t be disappointed.
