Today was my first time using this facility. It was disgusting! the locker room is infested with flying insects and smells horrible. I got into the indoor pool and stepped in what felt like a pile of sand. I cant help but to feel like the surrounding neighborhood is the reason this facility is being neglected the way it is. I don't understand how the YMCA expects the people of that community to pay their hard earned money to use a facility that has been neglected the way it has. This place needs to be shutdown until the necessary cleaning is complete. Staff also needs to be retrained and held accountable for the lack of cleanliness and care this facility is receiving.

This is the Dirtiest YMCA I have ever been to! They have great amenities, friendly staff but they need to do a better job of keeping their facility clean! The locker rooms are atrocious!! The same stains, and hairs are in the same place they were the week before, which let’s me know they didn’t clean the showers, which I refuse to use because their disgusting….. some bathroom stalls are out of order and have been like that for at least a year or more! The Steam room is the same with hairs in the exact same place as it was a week before. And they are always short staffed when it comes to cleaning…. “trust me it shows”,…..can’t they reach out to corporate and hire a cleaning crew to help out? or the ones that do clean have them do a more thorough job of cleaning, like actually scrubbing down each shower thoroughly with bleach and soap….. it’s so frustrating because this ymca is located in a predominantly black area and it’s always filthy, why? …. And shouldn’t it be clean for sanitary purposes? And can we get the shower heads and handles fixed in the showers? It’s as if they’re ok with these conditions because it’s always like this. And the workout area has so many dust bunnies and trash along its boarders of the space ….it’s as if no one at all cleans the area!!!! And can we please stop allowing people to bring their radios inside the steam room, it’s distracting and disruptive. It’s a great ymca with all the amenities if only they would keep it clean and disinfectant it could be a more enjoyable environment to workout in. I would really like to hear a response to this review because I noticed the owner only responds to good reviews and not the bad ones on this site.

There was a shooting in the pool the glass shattered and the bullet hit the pool it was about 100 kids they will definitely traumatized this is not a safe place too bad the community can't have anything decent they need to shut it down

I recently became a member and I must say I absolutely love it here. There is a very friendly atmosphere and the staff is so friendly and helpful especially big Dee !! I’m a senior and I feel very welcome here and there are people of all ages. But if you are a senior or you know someone that is a senior, please bring them and have them join, help them enroll so that they can get fit and healthy. There is so much to do!! Make it a family affair😊

I had fun here. The only complaint is they are not able to completely clean the hot tube and a residue forms on top of the foam in the tube giving you the appearance of the hot tube is not cleaned or an individual/s are not showered before getting in the hot tub. The steam room and the sauna are nicely lit and tempered.

I called & asked if the wet area was open & was told it was. Got there & the pool was closed. Cool. The hot tub had an island of foam in the middle & a bunch just floating around (for those that aren’t aware, foam = dirty). This place is definitely is not the cleanest.

This YMCA location is not busy, and that might give the impression to the staff that they can do whatever they want. Is very unprofessional having loud music on the women's lockers with a home radio with a note saying "Stop touching my damn radio" (as seen on the attach picture). I'm surprised the management is ok with this conduct.

DONT COME HERE!! Horrible Pool area and YMCA hot tub has dirty bubbles floating around. The steam room is not cleaned properly. One lifeguard went inside the hot tub and wasn’t watching the kids inside the pool. I’ve asked the front desk and give me the same answer all the time. Pool and hot tubs shuts down frequently and constant fights, people pulling gun out and no security. Front desk doesn’t check people’s cards.

The pool closes because they have no lifeguards. I get off work, bring my gym bag to work only to make my workout & sauna only for it to be closed early. No warning. No nothing & it’s constant. Everyone here is sick of it! Out payments come out on time tho.

I am posting this review about the thermostat reading 78 degrees in the fitness area and 75 degrees on the tract today 7/19/2023 at 6:00 a.m. It had gone down only slightly an hour later. On Monday morning it was worse!! it was reading 79 degrees....This is entirely too hot and dangerous for much activity. This is also a time when Seniors are using the facility which makes it even more risky for a serious medical incident. Is there some way to better control the temperature and humidity during the Summer months? There is no one available on the staff to adjust the temperature at that time so we either leave or suffer and limit over exerting. Please help, the summer will be very HOT....

the staff at the recreation center are very rude & poor communicators..I rented a room for my gson’s bday party..they only gv u 30min 2 decorate before ur event..which is nowhere near enough time 2 decorate any venue for an event..the kitchen area was dirty & signs of the previous party were apparent..jus a bunch of leftover food, beverages, & decor..this is totally unacceptable
