When i come in first thing in the morning there is never anyone behind the counter. You cant find anyone to scan your app or set up the massage chairs. I went looking in the black card room and the worker was sleeping in a massage chair. Staff lacks.

My husband had the worst experience here... I had called the day prior to change his home location amd the manager forgot to put that he was all ok and able to workout there so when he went in at 5am to workout like he always does the extremely rude and unprofessional girl working the counter said he could not work out there and when my husband tried to explain the situation was worked out she mimicked him and said she was going to call the cops if he worked out there so he decided to just leave and on his way out the door this girl in the photo grabbed her phone and began filming him on his way out. She got so close to him my husband thought she was going to physically attack him and she was screaming at him that she was going to call the cops and followed him all the way out to his car .... so freaking aggressive and bizarre behavior ... I called the manager and she said she would review the tapes and call me back and I have not heard back from her so my guess is they are doing nothing about this situation ... needless to say we will be switching gyms since they hire mentally unstable people like this.

Love the gym, but the customer service is terrible. I literally had to call from a blocked number just to get someone to answer. The manager, Abbie, was rude the second she picked up, kept cutting me off, made it a point to tell me she’d been at work since 1am (as if that was an excuse or something I could control), and then hung up on me to top it all off. The other staff members were super polite and maybe they should be the ones running things, but the manager has zero customer service skills.

Afternoon/evening staff is creepy and management has done nothing to fix this. I come in from out of town with my sister from school and there was one staff member who made us uncomfortable and wrote a weird note to me. I made this known to multiple employees and management and was told they would fire him. I recently came back from college and the same staff member was still working. This behavior is disgusting and it seems like management doesn't doesn't care and allows this.

Not a bad gym till you try to cancel membership - I left the state and they still charged me for an additional month even though I cancelled beforehand. Talked to the staff and they said that's just how they do things. Scummy practice, will not return ever, and one of my friends is cancelling his membership their out of solidarity too. Do better. It seems reasonable to pay for gym while you use gym, they disagree.

Leah, with the orange hair, was rude and unprofessional. She intentionally made the check in process lengthy and difficult. She boasted about working at this locating since January and proceeded to explain to us how check in works when she is working the counter in between playing on her cell phone. She is part time and one employee. We come daily, for many years, and work with numerous employees and not one has treated us the way she has. Management or ownership really needs to spend more time in the gym observing and guiding. Not acceptable.

I have nothing but great things to stay about this location. The staff are friendly, it is extremely clean, and equipment is quickly fixed if it’s not working like it should. I’ve never had to wait for equipment and the patrons are respectful to others. I love that it’s never busy and I can get in and out quickly without having to wait on equipment. I’m a planet fitness girl from here on out!

The gym is nice. Hopefully gets updated to the one like the Gravois Bluffs location. Only complaint is a couple of the day staff members. They are generally very dismissive and a place for them to hang out on their phone and collect a check. If anything, they keep the place clean.

I got a tour of this place last year and decided I would come back and join after I was done with college. I went up to the front desk and asked for help regarding joining... However, when I spoke and asked about a membership one of the girls at the front desk just stared at me with no response whatsoever. This small, yet frustrating situation left me irked. I haven't been back since and I don't plan on it. I can't wait for crunch to open as I've had better experiences there.

I'm giving it a one star because they don't have a bar to be able to do curls or deadlifts. I understand planet fitness mumbo jumbo about not having squat racks, a bar is the cheapest piece of equipment you can have in a gym to not have a $20 bar to be able to do. Curls and deadlifts is ridiculous. They already have weights to put on for bench press. It wouldn't be any additional cost and I'm sure they could be lined up or hung on the wall to not take up a lot of space

I just recently moved back from out of state and was very nervous about changing my "home gym" and starting back up in a new environment.
This gym was very helpful when I switched my account over and welcoming when I came in for the first time! Great, clean space with lots of equipment, and great staff!

I would give it 5 star except there was this one guy though, I think he works there, on the shorter side, kind of heavy set, wears black, I don't usually see him, but when I do, he's very rude and creepy to some of the staff.

Terrible customer service and complete non- caring. They make it hard for you to cancel service so that they can continually bill you even if it’s clear you don’t use their service. They ask for a notirized letter or for you both to come there in person. We had a join membership. It took almost a year (after not using the gym at all and requesting them to please cancel our membership) at the time it was impossible for us to go to the gym as my mom had just suffered a severe stroke and was paralyzed down one side and I was her sole caregiver, while my grandmother was also recovering from a fall in which she broke her arm . She also ending up having a stroke and then transitioned into hospice where I watched her die. There was ZERO SYMPATHY for what my partner and I were going through. It took as serveral months (still NEVER using the gym service) before we could coordinate our schedules and go into the gym together to cancel our joint memberships, but upon looking at my partners bank app today I discovered they only canceled his membership and have been stil charging for mine at nearly $ 27/ month since we came in and canceled around January…..still for my membership that was NEVER USED So because of their error back then, they are telling me I must come into the gym AGAIN in order to cancel and they cannot even guarantee me any refund due. These people are heartless, incompetent crooks that make it hard to cancel and won’t own up to their own mistakes. All this for a crappy membership I never used.
Side note: just heard on the evening news there is a new law that disallows for this type of hoops needed to jump through to cancel. It’s been found to be illegal. The new law is called “one click cancelation”. Any company that literally FORCES you to keep their UNUSED SERVICES is shady and unethical and no one Id ever want myself or anyone else to EVER do business with. I’m truly discusted with planet fitness and their scamming tactics .

It's a pretty decent gym. It's always clean and all the staff I've encountered are very friendly. The only reason I left off the 5th star: they lack a lot of equipment/weight options you can find at other gyms. The free weights are mostly dumbbells, no barbell setups for squatting, deadlifting, or barbell bench press. Other than that I dig it.

Came here about a week's ago and had the worst experience. I got a new job and this is the only location remotely close to my commute to and from work. From the start, it was not a good experience. I parked my car in the parking lot and there were people screaming at eachother about one of them taking the other's parking spot, I go in to work out and there were girls staring at me and whispering to one another continuously. They were younger and just sitting on machines not doing anything. I went to another spot and went about my work out. I then went to the front desk to use the total body enhancement and stood there for about 3-5 minutes while the workers were just huddled in the corner of the room talking and the when they finally got the room for me, the machine was not turned on nor was it cleaned. The girl took me to the room, took the disinfectant spray and just sprayed the floor of the machine (mind you you get into this stand up machine naked or close to it usually like you would a tanning bed) and says there you go. So I undress and get in the machine and the machine would not work at all. After about 10 minutes, I got dressed again and went to the desk and said it was not working and they didn't seem to care much so I said nevermind and this experience has been so bad that I most likely won't be coming back to this location and the worker didn't seem to care at all. I was respectful and just said this experience hasn't been good from the start and I just don't think this is the place for me and he just "uh okay" and then I left. Since that is the only one that would make sense to go to, I will be cancelling my membership.

Honestly i was disappointed when my T&C location closed and this one opened, because the spot before was better. But the crew running this location is doing the best. They clean this place thoroughly every single day. This has become the cleanest gym in St. Louis.

This place has steadily gone down hill. No one monitors the 30 minute room, so you have to dodge around the selfish users and kids who are only there to take selfies. On more than one occasion I've had to let the workers there know that towels or spray bottles were empty and needed to be refilled. I used to enjoy going to this club, but as of today I have cancelled my membership. The guy who cancelled my membership didn't seem too concerned about it, and let's be honest, the cancellation of one frustrated customer won't break them, and they know it, and they act accordingly. If you're looking for a place to walk on a treadmill, then this may be the place for you, but you can probably use the one at your work for free.

This establishment is non-ADA compliant. That is a federal crime. Rude staff. No trainers. No classes in the waste of money as a black card membership I cannot recommend and will never recommend. In addition, the female showers never warm-up, and they often have a technical glitch and checking in and general running of the establishment. For Jim to have their water fountain out for weeks is unprofessional and you can offer a refill of water bottles without a working machine.

The only reason they’re getting 1 star is because Google is too nice to some businesses and give them what they do NOT deserve. Let’s get started. I’ve been in and out of planet fitness for years. I always decide to come and go, never had issues until this embarrassing Ballwin location they’ve decided to build🥴. Anyways they charged my account TWICE for the same transaction. I have called and went up there numerous times in an attempt to solve it. What’s the number one thing people ask when having issues? The number for corporate. S told me straight to my face that they don’t have a corporate. Interesting kinda sus but okay. Anyways I fill out my “refund” proposal form so they can OBVIOUSLY refund me my money right? You’d think. But apparently not 😂. So I call up on Tuesday and this girl name L answers the phone 🙄. This girl goes on to tell me that they do have a corporate. I said hmm weird because I was told you didn’t. She then proceeds to say well I don’t have the number in front of me, you can Google it. Obviously if I could Google it I would do that??? Like state the obvious. Anywho. She then says to me on the phone that corporate sometimes will deny refunds. How on earth are you going to deny a refund when you took my money TWICE? But okay weird flex. Carrying on. This girl has clearly never dealt with African American women because as soon as I started to voice my issues she says “you’re being disrespectful”. No girl, I’m handling business but anyways after that I was like yeah you’re not even worth me talking to, I hang up. Because duh. 😂 So naturally I was like you know what? This is money. Let’s go grab a police and drive up there. Do you think that’s what I did? Oh absolutely. Keep in mind I’m not the only one that has had this issue said the staff at the police station. Me, my mom, and I walked right into the location with a police behind us bc when it comes to money, ALWAYS have someone of authority with you when businesses are trying to deny you your money that you work HARD for back. Formal apology to the sweet girl at the desk that I can tell was nervous and she wasn’t even the problem when all three of us walked in. So naturally I was like Are you L that I spoke to on the phone? She said No but I can go get her, what’s this about? I proceed to tell her. And I smiled. She goes and gets the L girl. Which automatically I could tell she was going to be a problem. But lucky for me she was shaking in her boots when she saw the police officer, myself, and my mother and walked so slow to the counter. Obviously she knew what it was about considering I spoke to her. I said Are you L? And smiled. And she said Yes. I said Great you’re who I talked to on the phone. She then proceeds to again say nonsense and at that point I was like your manager is here right? Go get him. Again she slowly backs up from the counter avoiding contact and says “she was being disrespectful on the phone” while walking away and aiming the comment to the police who could care less what she was saying because it’s a bigger issue than you feeling “disrespected”. So the manager comes and he also approaches slowly. The police officer explained the bigger picture which is that when it comes to money that they’re refusing to refund… it becomes worse than just not giving out a refund. So the officer explains that all I need is a number for corporate and that’s it. Because my money needs to be refunded. So the manager also says they don’t have a number for corporate, they go through their regional manager for issues and escalations. L all of a sudden “googled” corporates number to show me and be of “assistance”. The manager was like that’s wrong and not it. He proceeds to say I don’t have a double charge on my account when it’s on my statement that they have. Gives me the regional managers email. We leave. I call my bank. My bank sees the charge. Dispute filed. Don’t let them win! 😊

The worst experience I could have ever imagined. We used planet fitness for a a couple of months while we lived up there and it’s been a nightmare ever since. After a few months of going to the gym we learned that we were moving, so we went in to cancel our membership (or at least we thought we did). We went into the club one evening, told the front desk we wanted to cancel, and got the “you guys are all good.” Unfortunately, not the case. We’ve been getting charged for 5 months since we “cancelled.” I’ve called management and they were absolutely no help, they told me I needed to come in and sign a paper. I used to love it now its filled with kids sitting on machines for 15 to 30 minutes in groups talking and on their phones. I'm only able to get 25% of the machines I want to do in. I was doing 5 workouts a week now 3 because it's takes so long, signed up for pilates elsewhere and looking for a weight alternative. No reason to come here if you can't get a full workout in.

I travel a lot don't get a chance to exercise. Walking the trails gets old after a while but plans fitness is a place to be.

Disclaimer: I didnt get to work out. I never got past the contract. Heres why:
Planet Fitness is a scam. They say "$1 down, $10/mo" thats not true.
Its 0 down if you get the premium, not the basic.
And after they charge you an initiation fee of 40 dollars, in a few months you will get another "yearly fee" of 50 dollars.
So thats $90 plus monthly fees. And all they offer is very basic gym equipment. Hard pass.

Showers are amazing! Im a traveler and showers are the main reason for my membership. Very clean, updated shower heads, water pressure was great, little downside is it takes about 5 minutes for the water to become hot. The only thing missing is that they don't provide any soap. Staff could maybe have a meeting about friendliness and being welcoming.

*Update—No progress on this renovation project for over 4 weeks now! Owner and others consistently say” 3O days until completion”, but a complete lie. This has been torn up since last Fall. Stop work order still posted by city of Ballwin.

Anyone thinking of joining this club should ask how long their “renovation” has been going on and when it will be finished?

The first answer is it started last Fall. If you get an answer to the second question let me know. I’ve been a member since July 2021 and nobody can give me a answer to this simple question! All work was stopped yesterday because they didn’t have permits!!

What a joke! This is not the same club I joined 2 years ago and management doesn’t care about member disappointment and inconvenience.

It’s bad enough that on weekends I have to drive all the way to wentzville to tan and message from city if St Charles , but to go all the way there and the tan beds and message beds were all out of order. Wasted trip. VERY DISAPPOINTED in planet fitness lately

Unfortunately disappointed and looking to make a switch. We’ve been going here for almost 2 years and we’ve seen some crazy things, like people working out in slippers, but my almost teenage son, can’t sit and watch a movie on his tablet for 30 mins while I jog. He’s been doing this the whole time I’ve been coming here. I’m fact we asked before we started doing it, and we’re assured it was fine. We at no point ask any of your team members to watch him. He’s old enough to watch himself. When I first started coming here, I was a single mom and this was the only way I could workout. I was highly impressed at that time by your staff. Unfortunately you’ve had such high turnover that every time we go in now, there’s new people who have no understanding of your regular clients. In fact todays manager didn’t even stop me at check in, but sent one of her team to chase me down in the gym. She had ample time to stop me when I came in if there was an issue. Highly unprofessional and the fact she wasn’t the slightest apologetic but more self preservation in the fact “she could lose her job”.
Planet Fitness…. To say I’m disappointed is putting it mildly. At this point I think I’ll need to find another gym.
