It says masks mandatory at the door but on the weights people pull the mask down to their chin. The rest on the weight floor, that are not having their masks on their chins, have their masks under their nose. Funny enough people on the treadmills seem to all wear them. Makes me angry to see so many inconsiderate self centered people, that only think of themselves. Disgusting and not enforced by staff. Not worth coming.

I neither encourage someone joining planet fitness nor I rejoin. There’s always have been miscommunication with the staff as each person says a different story when you reach out them for any issue. They never refund your money even the mistake is on their side and some staff are so rude.
It has been always a waste of money because of the miscommunication. It’s all just a scam to be precise.

There is NO orientation, NO Trainer, Nothing. Many equipments are there, but no one to train how to use them. I damaged my muscles today. Go to the Gym, where there is a trainer and guidance on how to use the gym equipment. Not recommended for first timers.

I really do love this location. I’m really not loving the current hours. Even if they changed just a bit that would be great. I wish you guys could open from 5am-11pm. I know you are adjusting things due to COVID-19 but it looks like most of the other locations are still doing their normal hours. I would go to the other locations if they were closer to me. Besides that every one here is super nice and has always been friendly. Everything is kept clean and I enjoy being able to get back in to the gym.

I love this chain overall. They hire very well. This location is clean, has plenty of equipment and a nice staff. I notice the slight be down grade vs. my former Shrewsbury location. The TVs here are shared vs. on each piece of cardio equipment, the water fountain doesn't have the bottle filler option which are likely not so important. I do wish the free weight area was a bit less congested. For the staff, price and equipment it's hard to beat this price point.

On November 26, I updated my Stored Payment Method online by logging in my PF account because the debit card on file expired. In December, the stored checking account was not charged. When I spoke on the phone about this issue with the general manager Chase on December 23, he said in a scolding tone of voice, "You need to let us know when you update your payment method online." Chase did not find it necessary to apologize for system failure and instead blamed me for the glitch. Since I received an email from Planet Fitness Ballwin on November 26 with a confirmation, "Your payment information has been updated", I trusted PF website and concluded that no further action was needed. Then Chase said, "I froze your account in January." Silence followed. Since my account was to be frozen, I got concerned that I will not be able to attend the club from January on. Chase did not let me know that the billing will resume in February. I asked, "You froze my account in January?" Chase, "Yes, I froze your account in January." I asked, "What will happen in February?" Chase snapped, "I told you I froze your account in January." After I asked second time, Chase said that my account will be charged in February.

I called second time and spoke with Chase in person about this issue. In person, Chase provided detailed explanation but would not acknowledge his inappropriate mannerism and inadequate explanation on the phone. Apparently, my new payment method, the checking account, was added but the expired credit card was still the default payment method in the system.

Also, I brought to Chase's attention unprofessional conduct of one staff member, a blond young lady who usually starts her shift around 6 AM on Tuesdays. I believe she picked up the phone once when I called the club, introduced herself as Beverly and stated that she was an assistant manager. Chase informed me that he does not have Beverly working for him. I could have misheard the name. Being the only desk attendant at that time, she always stands in the corner of the front desk by the window, placing herself as far as possible from members entering and leaving the club, with her gaze fixated on her cell phone, does not burden herself to greet or to wish "a good day" to members. Chase limited his response with, "I will talk to her."

I’m not sure how this gym can promote they are 24 hours when they don’t open until 7am on the weekends. Many cars sit and wait for them to open on the weekend while the worker sits inside staring at us until the clock hits exactly 7.

Planet Fitness has a variety of machines for cardio and weightlifting workouts. While I don't usually interact with the staff except for when checking in, they are always friendly. My Black Card membership is a great value, not just because of the many exercise machines available, but with the extra amenities and the fact that I can visit any PF location. And no "gymtimidation" just like they say in the commercials. It really is everything I could ask for in a workout facility.

Worst gym... EVER.... be aware people. This gym chain and location specifically has horrible staff and horrible Customer Service. They prey on people that sign up and make canceling almost impossible. My wife and I used to live here and had a membership and moved away almost a year ago after moving we called to see if we could cancel they informed us that we had to send a letter. Or come down and do it in person I sent a letter. And here we are a year later finally closing the account after having to make a trip just to cancel the membership. Horrible service. No doubt intentionally loosing the cancelation letters so they can charge there monthly fee.

I spent a large portion of my day trying to buy the $10 a month package as a gift. I wanted to pay for the year in full, upfront, cash or credit card. Because I would not give my banking info. and routing number I had to walk. I worked all the way to corporate and no go. Can not pay upfront. Literally will not let me pay for a year and fees upfront and be done. Won't take the money. "We're not set up that way"

I travel almost 165 days a year for business and visit almost as many Planet Fitness locations. I am a black card member. I have never been greeted and treated so poorly as I was at this location in the Suburbs of St Louis(Manchester St Location). Specifically the clerk - KENNEDY - She was rude and obnoxious. She completely ruined my fitness routine. I would advise all traveling business men and women to find another location. I would not ever join this specific location and I will never come back. No stars for Kennedy. Coming from the New York area, I am always impressed with southern hospitality and the politeness of the younger generation in the Midwest. Not this time. Kennedy should remember that she represents the Planet Fitness brand with every word and action. She does not have the liberty (as an employee) to make her bad days my bad day. Every stock holder and membership holder expect...demand consistency of brand. Kennedy is not fit to work at Planet Fitness.

I don't think it's acceptable to spout off the benefits of a higher plan only to have only some of the benefits. I can also see that the hydro bed has been down for at least 4 months. So, I decided on Planet fitness not only for the amazing atmosphere but also the equipment. One thing that was bragged about is the hydro massage beds. Now before I go on to my point I will say they do have a total of 2 beds and one is currently working. My problem is as someone who only works out with my partner it makes it an unfair experience. I suppose I am just a little disappointed that since we became members we have yet to get a massage together other than in the massage chairs. While they are nice im sure they are not as good as the full body. Otherwise the location and staff and machines are top notch.

Not a place you want to go. Rude, inexperienced management. I have had a membership for a little more than a year. I'm there to workout. Never loud. Always wipe down everything. I don't even talk to anyone else - I'm just in and out. For that matter, I've only been in there a handful of times - maybe 30 times in over a year, at most. My daughter (in the Army) died and I barely left my home, for the last 13 months. I finally got back in, today, when I got an emergency phone call about one of my other kids. I was on the phone for no more than 30 seconds, when the assistant manager (Seth) walked over and rudely told me that any phone calls needed to be in the lobby or I would have to leave. After I found out which hospital my child was in, I walked over and told him that it was an emergency...child in hospital...and how rude, inconsiderate and inappropriate he had acted. In a place where they claim "no intimidation" - these places intimidate guests, just in their policies and rude handling of things. As I drove away, I got an email "CANCELLING" my membership. When I called to ask why, Seth made up a story of approval through the main manager, who claimed I had been rude with "him" before. I've never met any management before. I've never spoken to any management before. I haven't even been in the gym, for more than the last year. So if you like intimidation...like to feel uncomfortable in a gym...and don't mind little kids managing, who abuse their position in childish retaliation...go here. If not, Club Fitness, AnyTime Fitness - there are many other choices. Don't believe Planet Fitness advertising. It's false.

I signed up for the Black Card Membership primarily because of the Hydro Massage beds. One of the beds has been broke for a while now which means there is rarely a bed open and the other one gets some type of computer glich half the time. The kids at the front deck are usually on their phones or having a pow wow instead of doing their job which is monitering the beds and tanning beds. If it is a little more aggravation your crave then try the Black Card. The normal lower level card is just fine and in my mind a good deal.

I joined this planet fitness on December 4th. They had a sign saying Free Wifi. Next day I go there is no Wifi there and i cancelled it today. Still no wifi. All their neighbours have wifi and i cant figure out why only Planet fitness has a wifi problem. Used the gym only for 3 days and requested a full refund but the staff has refused. I wouldnt recomment anyone to go to this place. Fees I payed was $41.97 then i upgraded to their 21.99 plus tax to pull out of the contract. 3 - 5 days of Gym usage paid almost $65 for cancelling on services they said they are offering and isnt there.

I enjoy planet fitness. It's always clean and I have many forms of equipment to use with no wait time. As a woman, I find it easy to use every form of equipment in the gym. Of all the Planet Fitness locations I've been to in the St. Louis, the Ballwin/Manchester location is my least favorite. It is the smallest and has the least amount of equipment. The equipment they do have, on several occasions, appears not to have been cleaned. The staff is very inattentive. I've reached out to them about equipment that had a sticky brown substance on it and I was told "oh that's just rust" and the employee proceeded to go back to her conversation. If you have the option or the membership, avoid this location. This is my neighborhood location but I'd sooner drive to St. Peters or Overland for my workout.

I was at this location for 2 years. I enjoyed that they have multiple machines, and several tv's in the cardio area. My biggest complaint is that they tell you to talk to the persoanl trainer and they have all these workout programs listed, but in 2 years i never met the personal trainer or was told how training sessions worked.It's a great gym if you are on a budget. They could use a pool and they need to pay their employees better to improve customer service, and customer satisfaction. If you get the black card it's a great deal, you can bring a guest for free and use their tanning beds and massage chairs.

After being harassed at Gold's Gym and made to feel like I was the bad guy for not wanting to shell out $1200 for personal training sessions, Planet Fitness was really a "no intimidation zone". The staff is always pleasant and nice, and there is so many machines, you never have to wait for anything. I've lost 91 pounds so far, and part of that is due to the fact that i can go to the gym and not be surrounded by "lunks".

Love this gym! After one day of going, can't believe I went anywhere else for the previous years! The Black Card is worth the extra $9 a month because the tanning and massage chairs.
