I wanted to give a major shoutout to Sam.

Sam is not only a great person but also an incredibly dedicated employee who clearly loves her job and the people who come into the gym. Every single morning, she greets guests with a warm smile and a genuine “Good morning,” and she always sends us off with a kind word when we leave. That simple positivity sets the tone for the entire day and creates a welcoming atmosphere that truly makes a difference.

She consistently goes above and beyond her duties. As the sole employee on shift during early hours, Sam takes the initiative to clean the machines, wipe everything down, and vacuum the floors all while still managing to be friendly and present for guests. Whether she’s covering for others or simply takes pride in her work, it’s clear she wants the gym to look and feel its best.

In contrast, I’ve noticed that when Sam isn’t on duty, the atmosphere changes. Some other employees appear disengaged, sitting on their phones, not acknowledging guests, and definitely not going the extra mile to maintain the space. I’ve even seen personal grooming happening at the front desk, which really doesn’t reflect the professionalism Sam brings every day.

Additionally, I’ve observed the gym in the morning with leftover trash in cup holders, scattered weights, and other signs that night cleaning might not be consistently performed. Sam seems to pick up that slack, and it’s noticeable.

Sam is an ideal employee. She represents the Planet Fitness brand with enthusiasm, professionalism, and genuine care for both the facility and its members. It’s people like her who make us want to keep coming back. I truly hope she receives the recognition she deserves.

This is the first club from whole net that i was visit. I purchased membership black card with help of the man from reception. Club not very huge, but well equiped. I was here at satuday and sunday. All zones was clear. Just some guys and girls was working on their bodies. Parking lot for all plaza and as for me have not enought parking places. I don’t know where to park in peak hour). Behind the Five Guys there were three places for truck parking.

Men’s bathroom was gross stuff on the floor and the whole locker room smelled very strongly of heavily dehydrated peoples urine and feces. The showers are poorly maintained as well just dirty and unkept. Staff standing around up front. If management needs help seeing what their gym needs to look like they should go visit the speedway location. I have zero desire to come back here to this location. Being sanitary in an environment where you have hundreds of people a day coming through should be top priority yuk. The employees ought to be embarrassed.

Having so many workers some just standing around one worker actually cleaning the floors with a machine. The cleaning station had no paper for us to use to clean the machines, the restroom smelled really bad and the showers are completely gross. Typically great... Except when the dedicated 20 members are left standing at the door because the staff doesn't show up to open. Another member said we should just get card access to avoid this. I'm up at 415 on my days to workout and this is frustrating for all of us who put in our efforts. Compensate your staff accordingly so maybe we can have someone to open on time

Love the gym, love the equipment but the staff leave something to be desired. 5/11/24 there are 3 employees standing and talking at the front desk and 5 paper towel holders are empty. A member informed them and they just stood there. Lazy.
Update: sixth time this year no one was on site to open the doors on time. Over an hour of waiting still no employees. Considering canceling and going to Anytime fitness. At least the let their patrons in.

They close the showers 30 minutes before the gym closes. As far as I can tell this is not posted anywhere and I’ve never seen another planet fitness have this policy, and I’ve been to dozens all over the country. Just got all sweaty from a work out and planning to save the last 15 minutes of opening hours to take a shower before hitting the road? Out of luck!

Needed to place my account on hold due to a medical and the only way to do so was come in or write a letter.. 1) I was out of state 2) Writing a letter is out-of-date and not convenient. I tried to get ahold of a Supervisor to explain the situation but they don't work the weekend. Overall, bad customer service experience. I ended up cancelling my membership all together.

This location will never receive my business again. 8:30 1 male 1 female on staff, they close the bathrooms down extremely early because they care more about getting out at 10 then business practices, and the female with the hickie on her neck identifies as a male so she is inconvenienced to clean it people pay for full facility use unless otherwise broken, this is just poor business practice.

I called to get the pricing for a week pass and the guy on the phone kept saying ‘weekly rate’ to his manager. Then, when I clarified it was a ‘week pass’, I was told to just come in…. I didn’t get a price for the week pass over the phone. I’m not from this area and some information I’d really prefer to just get over the phone. The guy on the phone was polite though. Let me start by saying I was very excited to join and eager to go. A couple weeks after getting my membership I decided it wasn’t worth it to me at the $10/month basic so I cancelled. Recently, and I will stress recently because the membership was cancelled 3 years ago to my knowledge, planet fitness started taking out $25/month and now has my bank account in the negative. They refuse to refund and are of no help whatsoever. I have talked to team members and management and you’re just pretty much on your own. I was told I needed to pay another $141 to be able to cancel. This is a greedy company and I strongly regret having joined. Stay safe.

This is a great Planet Fitness! 6 Smith machines (great for controlled squats, chest, deadlift, hip thrusts)! More than most PFs I've seen. Facility is clean, spacious, and lots of parking.

Loved this place for years, the space is large, the people working here are fantastic, but this equipment modernization makes me avoid this gym and opt for Lees Summit. This was the best planet fitness in the country for quite some time (I’ve been everywhere) but has lost its appeal entirely with the bad new equipment.

The new equipment is a downgrade from the older equipment and I avoid any gym with the new equipment. Sadly eventually they will probably all be this way.

Nothing feels streamlined. The cabling systems all feel cheaper and almost as if there is lag or interference with the weight movement being smooth. It looks fantastic but that’s it. It’s really too bad the corporate office is going this direction. The old equipment was fine and well maintained. When doing back exercises on the new cabling system the entire rack sways and shimmers.

The leg extension is not fixed at the ankles and wobbles constantly. It’s just not coherent and it feels incoherent. Most of the new equipment is this way.

I went to this place as a guest with my daughter, we asked if I could try the red light therapy and the lady had to ask the manager who said its usually not for guest but did allow me to use. However, they give you 15 minutes to use it. Two of the workers did not know how to use the machine and time was a ticking away the manager finally came and started it I was in it for 2 minutes and it cut off. So I informed the lady and she said there was nothing she could do. I was pissed! The only reason I gave 3 stars was because they were nice. So instead of joining them which was cheaper I joined a gym with a pool for a higher price, I guess you get what you pay for.

I didn't go the entire 2021. I had froze my membership because of covid. I was nervous. I decided to go back and give it a try. I've come to far in my weight-loss journey to fall off. I went and was very impressed this weekend. The staff! The staff! They were awesome! They cleaned the whole time I was there! The treadmills and stair steppers have a 7-10 foot shield between the back row of each machine! If you could get the members to clean after every machine use. It would really be great! But I felt comfortable. Although I'm vaccinated. I still wore my mask. I will continue my membership there.

Wanted 28$ signing up to this place. i just moved up to raymore and this place is definitely designed for people who just want to do cardio. The lack of machines they had and the conditions the straps and locks were in were terrible so the fact they make you pay an annual fee is stupid. Especially when the equipment looks terrible. My wife and I got a membership paying over $100 dollars for both of us to have access. We moved here and due to working hours and my wife being in and out of the hospital haven't used the membership once. I just tried to cancel and they said because it is after the 10th I have to pay for this month AND next month.
