I have been at this branch for years and I never experienced a unprofessional front desk lady who were rude and treat me like I am a kid. I did what I needed to do and yet her demeanor is unprofessional to me. Other staff are friendly and smiling when I come in and go out. You might need to train this staff the proper manner, customer service. I hope she learn and be better. The world is cruel enough and I have no space to be mean. This is still my only comfort zone

I canceled my son’s membership and was repeatedly charged multiple times monthly fee and annual fees. I call to get it removed they re denying it being them. My bank confirmed. This is an ongoing thing that I’ve been going through were every month I’m getting charged for this or for that and they never know what and it’s always this or it’s always that and no one ever knows. They’re gonna want your routing number and account number and it’s so they can sit there and charge you and pretend like oh we don’t know the only way you’re gonna be able to stop. It is get a new bank account. Now, if they would take just the card and not your bank and account information, you would be able to cancel the card, but they don’t want you to do that. They want to have access to pull money out of your account whenever they feel for whatever they feel.

Water fountain is broken.
Total body was completely dirty the last time I was informed it was reset and ready for use. Update- Total body is now "temporarily out of service".. when asked when it will be up and running I was told, "I don't know, they dont tell me anything".
Floors are always dirty.
Tanning bulbs in the stand up beds need replaced due to them mostly being burnt out.
Paper towels are hit and miss on them being filled.

This gym is aggravating. Thinking about canceling or driving out of town to another planet fitness.

I went to tan and the booth I was in had over 15 burnt out bulbs and about 12 more about to go out. I did full time and it did nothing for me smh. I let the "employees " know and they did nothing about it. It would have been nice of them to offer me a different booth!! Very disappointed. DO BETTER! Even though this one is closest to me, I drive out of my way to other locations to avoid it. The equipment is in desperate need of replacement (namely the stairclimbers, which there are only 4 of and 1 is always out of order.) The lighting is depressing and the overall cleanliness is subpar.

I was thinking about signing up but noticed the deal is deceiving. It is not just a 1.00 to start up. You also have to pay half of the month membership. I called to ask the staff member about this and told her that it is deceiving in not telling you the true initial fee to start a membership. The staff member said yea they don't include it on the website unfortunately. The staff member did not give much attention to our call after that. The staff member just rushed off the phone and hung up on me. Poor phone etiquette. It made me change mind and I was eager at first to sign up. Be careful there are hidden fees.

Pro’s— the staff is always nice and very helpful, usually smile and greet you upon check-in. I’ll give them 5stars for that

This location is a 4/5 as far as cleanliness. I’ve been to other locations in the area that was a lot worse than this location.

Con’s— some of the equipment is OLD and OUTDATED. Starting with the stair masters. 3/4 of them are broken. And the one that actually works, have a 12 inch crack across 1 of the steps. A bad accident just waiting to happen.. a foot falls in, get stuck and the machine is still spinning..

Other locations have 8+ NEWER stair masters and more than 4 smith machines. I’m not sure if planet Fitness is franchised or whatnot. But it’s time for this location to catch up.

I don’t understand why there’s 100 treadmills and only 4 stairmasters!

I love planet fitness. Very affordable and clean gym. Membership comes with a trainer which at first I was hesitant to sign up with but I'm so glad I did. Elias is very encouraging and pushes you to keep going but gives such grace when you falter. I've lost 28 lbs so far and feel stronger and more confident than ever.

Just went to tan and asked for full time. Natalie told me bed 8 had new bulbs. I started the bed and noticed 9 bulbs werent working . So I told Natalie in hopes to switch to a lay down bed but she didn't give me that option she just told me that's the best im going to get lol

Tanning rooms are typically dirty, not vacuumed or beds not wiped down, bulbs typically are out, staff depending on what day and time you go are either very helpful or too busy on their phones to assist you. Gym equipment itself is nice and typically well maintained.

It is 0725 on Saturday morning - and no one is here to open the gym. Frustrating that I only had 7am to 8am to workout, and someone was unable to open the gym for the line of people outside. Most of the time, everyone has been so pleasant, but there are some staff who sit on the counters doing nothing, and paper towels will be empty or floors in bathroom dirty. Some of us need the gym for our health, so this morning was disappointing.

Usually the staff is always amazing here. Today when I was waiting for a tanning bed, I asked Kelsey for a different bed other than the one that she gave me because I had it earlier and knew many of the bulbs were out resulting from getting no tan. She informed me that all of the beds now had new bulbs. I took her word for it. When I got in number six. Six of the bulbs were out! Frustrating. The most frustrating thing is that she lied to me.

I had issue with my recent payment and called the Bluesprings planet fitness to see if they could help me with this issue. Sure enough, the front desk staff ( Carrollton Perkins ) took this on and went full pledge to make sure I was taken care of. He soon called his supervisor ( which was off today, and I didn’t get his name ) to make some adjustments! Man when I tell you these guys really made my day, after having a really tough day, they really make sure I was taken care of! Would highly recommend this club here in Bluesprings and these guys definitely need a raise! Thank you guys!

Women’s bathroom is always disgusting. The sink never gets clean. The water station absolutely disgusting it looks like never been wiped. And I see 2+ workers on the entry like what are they doing ? Post Covid, Blue Springs all independence locations, Lee Summit Nolan Rd, North Kansas City, locations won’t open 24 hours, but still charge full membership rates. Using excuses not to open 24 hours, but not lower membership rates. Gyms are now overpacked and crowded at 5 AM and all management could care less. Now having to drive to Kansas locations for a 24 hour membership and double back to work because they want to be cheap and lazy

I am having a surgery and I called to freeze my membership temporarily, being that I won’t be allowed to workout for a while. The man on the phone told me I had to supply a doctors notes stating I cannot workout for them to pause my membership? I had this surgery back in march, which they froze my account for 2 months for me then without any doctors note. I got pretty frustrated because I’m not sure how that’s even allowed, so I asked to cancel instead. He told me he won’t do any of it over the phone and I must come in. Pretty aggravated over this, never happened before. I’m having my surgery tm so trying to get into the club in person isn’t exactly on my to do list

Love All the things. It's clean, machines are easy to work with and maintain med well. I have had my membership since the weekend it opened. However, now it's $30 a month and still not open 24/7. With my work schedule It's so hard to get in before it closes.

I used to love coming to the blue springs location but not so much anymore. Especially if the gentleman with the eyebrow and lip ring is working. He’s unfriendly and acts like it’s a huge inconvenience to get me set up with a tanning bed because he’s too busy watching movies on his phone. I greeted him today and he didn’t say a word back. Then had seemed to have an attitude towards me because their system has been having issues.

I'm giving a3 star even though I haven't been to this one yet. I'm a truck driver and I go to PF's all over the country. Incoming to this one today. The only complaint I have for PF is the ones that don't make it to where trucks can park somewhere in the parking lot. I see a lot of truckers at the PF's that are in a lot that does allow it so there are a lot of truckers who are your customers. And about these reviews......people if you know you can't get the perks as a guest become a member.........it's that simple. 🤷🏻

The machines are new or updated and I love the Total Body Enhancement machine, I use it every time I go. I do the massage chairs before and end my workout with the hydro massage bed. You cannot use the hydromassage or the tanning bed as a guest. So after our workout, I am expected to just sit there while the cardholder uses the extra amenities. Had that been made clear when we came in the first time, obviously I would have just paid a dollar for the first month’s membership. At this point, I didn’t feel that that guy at the front was the least bit friendly so I’m over it.

Great workout options but paying the extra per month if you are interested in tanning or red light, save your money. The beds literally do nothing. They said the bulbs were changed “a month ago” but they are either fibbing or the beds are junk. Red light booth is too weak as well. I’ve done red light other places and the Blue Springs booth isn’t right. I’m more than happy to pay extra for red light and tanning but they need to work properly. I think I’m going down to the basic membership and go somewhere else to tan.
UPDATE: So the reply from PF is to "visit another location"...REALLY??? Wouldn't it be better for EVERYONE to FIX the issue since I joined the one closest to me and is why I go there? I should not have to go to another location! That is a very ridiculous reply and I will just cancel my membership all together. Also, maybe the responder/owner(?) should "reach out to the management team with the concerns"? And actually, I have...that is when I was told "they were changed about a month ago", so they don't care either. Just lost a member.

I started on the 10 dollar one to see if I liked the place and vibe..Hannah showed us around she was cool..about a week later decided to jump on the black card monthly plan...it's on piont the place is clean well taken care of and the employees are chill and helpful..the massage tables the many diff equipment at your disposal they are used but they are easily available with a small wait..you can jump on something else until then there's lots to choose from..the vibe is suburb for sure no loud types just normal peeps getting in shape..no one pays attention to anyone so that's cool if your worried about your shape etc while starting your plan..there are many gyms but I think planet fitness is by far the best value..plus you can visit any p.f with the black card in the u.s and abroad..only gripe is that my pionts didn't take until I signed up for another email account which I though I already did so I didn't get any pionts and I've gone a bunch over the month since I joined ugh..try the 10 and see if you like it then get the black card you won't regret it..top spot.
