When I joined two months ago, this was the gym I'd been waiting for: friendly, very clean, tons of great equipment that suits all bodies and levels of fitness. Empowering messaging of belonging and no judgment. Just yesterday, they had redone most of the gym and it's full of equipment I have no idea how to use (something like a half tire and football Astroturf?) that seems to cater to a different kind of gym demographic (a dude bodybuilder). They've removed all the yellow equipment for the 30 minute workout and the exercise balls. They've squished a bunch of stuff into the main part of the gym and cleared out the back of it so there's less space to just move and be. I'm so disappointed. But what does a fat, middle-aged female have to say that any gym bro would listen to? I'm not sure I'll continue coming and might look for someplace else. Also, I miss the really friendly manager, Brooke, who I heard moved to a new location. What a bummer.

Now that I’ve updated to a Black Card, I can go to any Planet Fitness in the United States. This gym is closest to our current rental, so I decided to step in a couple times this week to check it out.

This is a newer-looking PF, with high-end treadmills equipped with TV’s. The entire place smelled fresh, appeared clean and was one of the most spacious ones I’ve seen in a long time. Plenty of equipment and room to stretch out on :)

Finally, the staff I interacted with were friendly. Not the most professional but what do you expect, it’s Planet Fitness.

Clean gym but the absolutely god awful music, which nobody wants to hear because we all have earbuds on, is so g-d loud that even good noise cancelling and your own music won’t kill it. What’s the point? Nobody wants to hear it. I’ve asked to take it down just a notch or two and I could have asked the crow on the light pole outside and gotten the same result.

Leg Press Machine @ Crestwood needs to have a 30 minute limit
posted. Only at this location, there a a number of individuals whose
"leg day" involves close to an hour on this one machine. For those of us with jobs and kids, this is unacceptable. If they want to be professional bodybuilders, maybe they should spend more than $99/month and join a hardcore gym instead of a gym that caters to regular working class folks.

The young lady up front in the early morning is very friendly and pleasant, and I like the location.
The showers on the other hand are terrible, I can't be the only one but the shower water leaves a film all over, it feels like grease when I'm washing my hair and the water barely gets warm. Other than that I like this location.

Good enough. After spending the weekend driving up, it was time to do some lifting and twisting on their Thirty Minute Circuit. Everything worked and I enjoyed getting some arms and legs stretched and exercised.

After that, a quick shower that worked well. Plenty of hot water and a nice changing room close by. I feel completely renewed and ready to go into the office!

The hot water heater is completely broken for the past several days and no one is doing anything about it which is completely unsanitary. No one can shower and not being able to wash your hands with hot water at a gym is just disgusting. How are they properly sanitizing that place with freezing water ? They didn’t even put a sign on the front door to warn people that their water heater is broken. Now if you work out you have to take an ICE COLD shower or leave a hot mess. At least warn people !

This is the nicest Planet Fitness I’ve been to. The facility is large and they have more equipment than other Planet Fitness locations. They have a lateral raise machine, the urinals are separated with walls—things I haven’t seen at other Planet Fitnesses.

One recommendation, the AC needs to be set to a lower temperature. This is the hottest gym I’ve been to. People are working out and sweating here.🙂

Just recently got back in the gym after few years. I'm a returning member, and Planet fitness is better than I remember. Very flexible hours so you can get your workout in pretty much anytime. They have plenty of space, and equipment. The Hydro massage beds are awesome after a workout. My only complaint is I wish they had a second leg press like some of their sister locations.

Large gym. You'll never have to wait for a cardio machine. I do have to wait for a weight bench or other weight machines occasionally fury busier periods. They're dumb bells only go up to about 70 or 75 and the curl bars done go very high (dont remember the exact limits). My biggest complaint is that they don't open until 7am on the weekends. It would be great if they opened at 5, but even 6 would be okay. I get up early for work and that occurs on the weekend. It would be great to get my workout out of the way before my kids woke up. In addition, they where open early on the weekends when I first joined, but that changes suring the pandemic. I really might go somewhere else because of it.

I assumed (shame on me) thinking I could show up and try the gym for a free visit prior to deciding if I wanted to join… most big box gyms, and even boutique gyms offer this. They don’t offer a free visit to try out the gym. The only way a potential new member could try the gym for free would be if they came with a member….THEN you can try the gym at no cost. In addition a one-day pass is $20, when I could sign up for a monthly membership for $10. Seems totally ridiculous to me.

Went twice as a guest with a Black Card member just after the holidays; the gym was nearly empty late at night. The first day, nobody was at the front desk (so even though we couldn't figure out how to scan my guest pass, I was able to just walk in with the member anyway.) The second day, there were a few people behind the front desk, and one of them helped show us where the guest pass was.

The equipment was clean and easy to use. The locker room was also clean. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons:

1. As others have mentioned, the gym is open 24 hours on some days of the week, but not all of them. That's inconvenient and complicated.

2. The gym (as with all Planet Fitness locations that I've seen) is filled with only two rows of weight machines (along with a row of free weights), while nearly half of the space is wasted by dozens and dozens of treadmills, elliptical machines, and bikes (which are usually mostly empty.) I can run or ride a bike outside; the point of a gym membership (for me, at least) is to access the weight equipment that I don't have access to at home. I'd rather have more rows of those so I don't have to worry about crowding as much.

Overall, I don't live in the St. Louis area right now, but if I did, this location would seem pretty ideal. I appreciated the non-intimidating atmosphere.

(unless you drive 30-40 minutes away, no respect given to the 3 south locations members, all three are closed early three nights a week) They can't have just one $10 an hour person sit and read a book at the front desk a few more hours a week? (like until 11 pm versus 7 pm) They also let all the high school and college kids have free memberships for the whole summer, packing the gym too tight for 3-4 months.

Canceled my membership a couple of weeks ago. I went inside and paid with a credit card and I was told my membership would be good through early December.
Kept getting texts saying I owed money AFTER I had canceled and paid in full. I called the 800 number they said I had a late fee and my monthly fee I owed…..
I told them I already paid it ,explained the situation, and she kept telling me that I owe money, so I hung up on her.
So now I drive to planet fitness show them that I paid. It seems I paid a day after the cut off (which I was not told when I went inside the facility to cancel my membership )
and I owe another month of dues plus a late fee of $10.
I said I’ve already been in here I paid and I canceled and refused to pay this. I was told that I would probably be hearing from the Higher-ups , I’ve been with them since 2018 I can assure you I will not become a member there again

I dont know who trained employees on how to answer the phones and the proper way to issue farewells to customers. But the girl answering on 6/24 today could use a refresher course. She sounds like she's a ton of fun at party's. Considering that the pandemic is now coming to an end, I am not sure why on Sunday, they are closed at 7pm. Keep in mind this is still broad daylight. After realizing that what was once a 24 hour gym nation wide is now closed at 7 all over St. Louis I waited in the parking lot across the way to see if it was because of low attendance. I saw in the final 10 min no less than 7 people get out of their cars only to be told the gym closes at 7pm sharp. There were still people pulling up clearly confused after the last employee left. The way my life is scheduled, 7pm on Sunday has become the perfect time for me to go to the gym I am assuming that is the case for these individuals as well. Like it says on their website, 'We work to fit your schedule, not the other way around.' I would get maybe 10pm send workers home but when you still have people that pay their membership trying to get in, don't you think it's time to go ahead and open things back up? Every other PF in the area is closed as well as such I am assuming they're all owned by the same individual.

It's a nice location and all, clean, and most stuff is not broken, and the young people on their phones at the front desk are standing there being aloof as is what I expect in the ambiance of a gym, but there is no reason I should not be able to go to a gym that I pay for at any hour when it is daytime.

I am from out of town and have been having an issue with my app not working to be able to scan my ID pass. I go to Planet Fitness all over the country and everyone has been very kind in helping me login and also use the chairs with my black card number. Here is a diffrent story the first day I came and explained about my app the staff gladly helped me out letting me come in and also use the massage chairs. today a diffrent story. They were her help saying its not there problem I need to cal my home gym in AL witch I did and they gave me a new sign in number. He signed me in saying I could work out but not use the black card things. Confussing but whatever. so I went to start my workout. After stretching and getting tarted on th treadmill the manager came over very aggressively and told me I need to get upfront now to figure this out. I was shocked but said ok, once we got to the front he was saying that I was denied access. but went anyway I needed to leave. I asked why can we not figure this out he just kept saying very aggressively "you were denied access, Its not our problem its your home gyms problem" Keep in mind I travel the country and dont go to one location more than the other. I said "im confused what's going on" he kept saying "yeah, you are confused" my husband uploaded the app outside and logged into my account and got me the barcode I needed. We went back inside and he's ;ike "what are you doing" I showed him my barcode and he yelled. "nope not today"
THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! we just tuned and left. I pray for someone to help this guy because his poor employees were cowering.the day before I also sat in the lobby overhearing the same manager talking very badly about his employesss and how "no one will work for me doing those things" super unprofessional to talk to your employees about anything that is going on with others. Retta helped me set up a black card membership 2 days ago and was so friendly and welcoming that I feel really at home working out. I'm a truck driver and so far PF locations have been good for me. This location not so much. I am not a mask denouncer, I have always worn my mask without complaint. I wore my mask into this location with zero issues. The problem came however when I was told that I had to wear my mask while on the treadmill. Every other location has you wear your mask unless you are on equipment. It has been explained to me that the purpose of every other machine not being usable, social fitnessing and all that jazz makes it so that we can workout and breathe comfortably at the same time. A few minutes in and there was quite a bit of moisture on my mask. I ended up going outside and doing my run in the parking lot which I can do for free anywhere so we will see how other locations are and whether I decide the cost is worth it.

The gym is amazing however there is this old guy that keeps going around and talking to people for 50 min plus. He makes me feel very uncomfortable every time hes around me. He has gone up to all my friends and they say he wouldnt leave them alone, saying hes irish or something and touching them in a werid way. He never re racks his weights and waits behind people during their workout just to talk to them. I had to change my workout time just to not to see him and I have felt like the gym isnt a safe place anymore.

This PF is HUGE!!!! I'ma truck driver so I called ahead before coming here and asked if they allowed truck parking, they told me yes, so long as I park along the side away from all the other cars in the lot. Very convenient for me to get a work out in at a very nice PF, very spacious, and the locker rooms were kept clean when I was there.
Lady in front desk checked my Temp. And informed me that I must keep my mask up at ALL times including when I'm working out,,, just a heads up.
