Usually the front desk people are friendly but mostly busy talking occasionally get a thank you when checking in and a have a good day/night when leaving but tonight I met Crissy she was amazing! So we have been to planet fitness locations from coast to coast. This one was the cleanest bathroom and showers I have seen so far. I have a lower leg amputation. This makes the showers and changing rooms super important. Excellent shower stalls for changing. Great place, Chris was scrubbing the showers while I was there and took a lot of pride in keeping the place clean! Thank you Chris and staff.
P.S. for motorhomes campers you can spend the night in their parking lot!

This location is super clean, staff is always super friendly and accommodating. The upper section of this location makes the floor plan my favorite in the four states. If you are just visiting Joplin and a member at another location this on is most definitely a must visit as it is the gold standard in layout. I've been to the majority of the PF’s in the four state area and this one is by far the best. The manager Travis and his assistant manager Alyssa are too notch they keep the equipment in peak condition. Making sure the pads aren't ripped or lacking in oil.

This Planet Fitness is open 5/24 so if you're looking for a workout late on a Sunday, you will need to come back when they open at midnight Monday morning. Which is strange but if wasn't an inconvenience for me.

This was a really nice fitness club. Huge inside with two stories of equipment and plenty of televisions to keep you entertained while you're climbing, walking, running. The thirty minute workout area was empty when I was here at 5:30 am and that made it easy to do my circuit and be done.

Showers were clean with both changing stalls and a "double" shower area where you can change out of your workout clothes and into your street clothes after cleaning up. Lots of hot water once I was able to work out how the tap operated. Always different! Plenty of space for my stuff and my toiletries while showering. Squeaky clean and ready for the week ahead!

After going into the men’s locker room to shower there was absolutely no hot water, in the showers or sinks. I was pissed due to the unsanitary practice of not having any hot water. The manager said that he has been begging the owners to fix the situation for over 2 years because even if they do turn the switch for hotwater, it kicks out and goes right back to cold. I will be reporting this site directly to the State Of Missouri. The question begs how do they sanitize the floors, showers, walls and other areas.

This is my place. I love going and taking the time to better me. They offer many choices to improve yourself. Tanning and massage time really heals the soul. They keep it extremely clean. Im a OTR driver and this a a very very nice and very clean planet fitness i did wake up early in the morning, and found a note saying that I could not park there upon going inside. The person at the front desk told me that the best place to park is to the left of the building due to Home Depot, not wanting semis on their lot. The person at the front desk was very professional courteous.

I travel a lot and have the black card so I can use planet fitness’ all over. I came to this one mainly for a shower since I had played pickle ball not far from it. There was absolutely NO hot water at all and now I see others have experienced the same thing. It is ridiculous to have this an obvious continuing problem here. This was the worse I have experienced of any planet fitness. I told staff about it but they just said sorry. I will never be back and wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s always the staff that sets these Planet Fitness locations apart. The Joplin location has one of the hardest working late night employees I’ve seen at any location anywhere in the country. Amanda was extremely helpful and was seriously all over the gym tidying up and setting machines up with weights at each station. Thoroughly impressed. Great gym but still disappointed they haven’t gone back to 24 hours. When I first signed up it was because it was a very nice clean facility that was 24 hours. The 24/7 was a big factor for me because I get off pretty late and like to go after work, the were 24/7 originally but changed their hours a few years ago and I understood at the time the change in hours but expected them to go back to 24/7 but haven’t. The short hours on the weekends has been a major let down for me, especially since all the other “24 hour” gyms have gone back to original hours except planet fitness. The facility is still a good one, just wish they’d go back to the 24/7 hours since that was my original expectation when I signed up.

It’s very clean and the employees are very nice and helpful. When the weather was bad I got an email that they were closing early. I was glad the employees got to go home because it was very icy. I’ve been going there over a year and never had a problem.

Ive met 3 employees so far. All have been super nice and smart. Im still recovering from surgery. So i will update when i use equipment and facilities.I used the aqua massaging beds. They are awesome and help my back and neck so much. The tanning beds help too. The vitamin D is a help and just looking better makes you feel better. The more you do the more you want to do. I also have used the bikes. That has helped my energy level. I had a personal trainer come and help me make a personal workout plan. For free BTW. That is awesome as I am disabled. ♿. There is an App that helps in many ways too. Helps to remind you to workout. When your disabled it is more important to stay active than ever before. If not it will make your condition worse.
