been going to this pf location for a bit now and honestly i got no complaints place is super clean like always spotless even the locker rooms which is rare, staff is chill and always nice they say greet you when you walk in and actually seem like they wanna help if you need anything, everything’s in the right place and the machines are basically never down and when one is they fix it pretty quick overall just a solid place to workout not too crowded and not intimidating like some other gyms

This is a phenomenal gym in St Louis. Brian and Josh do a great job running the gym and keep a tight ship. The gym is always spot-less, not a molecule of dust anywhere. The staff are super friendly and the trainer, Jared, is great at proving new tips and tricks or giving you more personalized plans. I really love this gym, no matter your level of fitness, what you look like or experience level; you'll be welcome here.

As a 73 year old with Type 2 diabetes, it was imperative that I increase my exercise, along with decreasing my carb intake. Since I was one who did not paripate in a disciplined exercise program, I needed to do something to establish an exercise routine. At Planet Fitness, I was able to start with no pressure and at my own pace, without having anyone looking over my shoulder. The environment was inviting and comfortable to where I could participate wth confidence working in a "no judgment" atmosphere. The facility is fully equipped with a wide range a machines available for use by members from all levels of fitness and abilities. The friendly staff is available and willing to assist with how to use the equipment, as well as provide counsel on managing a program that is right for you. For me, PF is where I need to be. I feel encouraged that I am in the right place where I can succeed to improve my overall health and enjoy doing it, while not feeling intimidated. I'm glad I finally made the right decision to become a member.

This gym has gone done this year, and it's due to poor management and a lack of enforcement of the rules. There are members who monopolize machines, who instead of actually using the machine, sit there, make calls, text, etc. and don't actually use the machines. When I asked why the club isn't enforcing the rules, I was given a rude, curt, and dismissive response, which was to upgrade to a Black Card Membership and go to another location.

Hands down the best location! It’s always super clean, the best variety of tanning beds, and all of the staff at the front desk are incredibly friendly/welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable! Early morning on the way into downtown for work meetings, I stopped here and had no problem with my out-of-town Black Card membership. I was able to quickly change, spend a half hour on the 30 minute workout circuit and then get a shower. By 7:15, I'm energized and ready to do battle with the Saint Louis traffic!

They are lying about using all locations with black membership
Any time I’m using this location they keep telling me to change my home club to this location .

My previous review of this location was 1-star as during the height of the COVID pandemic, their staff made little to no effort to enforce safety rules. I previously cancelled my membership, but as the pandemic has waned, I have rejoined.

In the past year, this gym has received some updated equipment and changed their layout. The new exercise bikes they got are much smoother than the previous generation so make it easier on joints for long sessions.

However, the changed layout leaves some to be desired. The location of all the seated bikes no longer has any portion of them under the ceiling fan and gets little to no air movement.

The location is also annoying to get to from the north. 20 years ago (when this location was a theater) there used to be a road through the residential neighborhood that would lead directly to this lot. It's since been closed off meaning you have to go some distance around which, at rush hour, can add a significant amount of time. The best secret now (from Laclede Station) is to turn as the Extra Space Storage and cut through that road to avoid the light which backs up 2-3 rotations (and has a ridiculously long rotation anyway).

On May 29, 2023, I had very unpleasant experience, the gym closed at 1 pm o'clock because of the holiday,so cut off was exactly at 1 o'clock they literally wanted to kick us out of the gym, the manager named Tyler didn't let me take a shower and change clothes, I couldn't go out all wet and sweaty, I have to take a shower, I live 35 minutes from there,this guy Tyler called law enforcement on me coz I wanted to take a shower, what world does he live in. Still can't believe what he did.
I took shower by 13:15 and left.
no matter when the gym closes, we still need a few minutes to shower and change, people like Tyler shouldn't be doing jobs they're not up to, let them heal their frustrations elsewhere,
I hope that the owners will sanction such cases, there are many who are not satisfied with the behavior of the management, I called corporate today, they were busy, I will call them again when they open to protest such a behavior.

This Planet Fitness is great! I really needed to start eating right and going to the gym, and chose this location at random. I'm glad I did! The staff are always friendly, and the place is super clean. I see the employees cleaning constantly. The equipment is well kept, the other gym members have been respectful. I'm an early-bird, and I like that they're open before 5 am 4 days of the week so I can get in early and get my workout in. They're often open 15-20 minutes before the posted hours on weekend and Mondays to let members get a jump on the day. Awesome!

I've made 105 visits to the gym thus far, along with a complete diet makeover, and I've managed to drop 55 lbs in that period of time. PF can't put the dedication and hard work in for you, but they can provide a clean and comfortable environment for you to get after your goals.

I am pleasantly surprised to how empty this gym is. What I mean is not crowded at all, plenty of space and room, plenty of machines and really really clean. I come from a smaller state less populated then the st louis metro areas population is, a couple hundred thousand less than the whole population of my entire state and the 2 planet fitness gyms I frequented were jammed packed full, equipment was down, cables frayed, trash here and there. On top of that, we have multiple sites to go to that are all pretty much the same amount of time to get to from where I stay and I like options. This planet fitness on Watson is my go to, I've liked it from the first day I started coming here and lastly the employees are all pretty nice too, I hardly was told goodbye in my home state, here thy say have a good day or thanks for coming or just bye and although I don't expect that to happen it's nice that it does.

I wish I could give a negative star. For what should have been a simple process, I tried cancelling my membership through phone explaining I moved across states, they told me to send letter to the actual gym address(this in late 20' or early 21'), I said ok and sent a letter thinking that it was cancelled, and recently I noticed that it has not yet been cancelled and still getting charged, by now its probably hundreds of dollars over the course of 2.5years, while not even using the service. This is madness. Absolutely will not recommend anybody this place and never again using PF service. I see that similar experience were shared with other people looking at the reviews...are you guys trying to make a fool out of us? We are tallking 2020-2022(now) thats 3 years of $300+/ yr, who know what extra fees they charged if they like stealing from people.

I have been unable to walk for the past two years and continually tried to cancel my membership while awaiting surgery to save much needed money. There is no way to cancel online, and there is no way to cancel over the phone.
I was told the only way to cancel is in person. So, because I couldn’t physically walk into the location, - I was charged over and over and over for something I couldn’t physically use or stop payment of. This is still ongoing and I am just now getting to the point where I will be safe to drive myself. Meanwhile hundreds and hundreds of dollars of my money is going a company that continues to steal from me.the Better Business Bereau has been notified as of today

The reason for only four stars is the staff couldn’t be more disengaged if they tried! When I signed up over a year ago, the staff would greet you coming and going with big happy smiles. But their manager left a few months after I joined. Now, 90% of the time they are on their phones with their heads bent and couldn’t care less if you are coming and going. I sure don’t understand why there are 4 people behind the desk. Are they supposed to be meandering through the gym seeing if anybody needs help with the equipment, or structure a training program or cleaning or just be helpful? Not sure why you need 4 people to man the desk The gym is very clean the equipment all works flawlessly. The restrooms are always clean. There are lockers available in full view of everyone so the chance of theft is minimal. When you download the app you can have training videos for workouts. The numerous wall monitors are no longer flooded with music videos of scantily clad women in provocative dances. Thank goodness they got rid of that and now it’s extreme sports only which is thrilling to watch.

If I could leave 3000 stars I would. I have been struggling with my weight for around eight years now which has made it difficult for me to even step foot in a gym. However today I bit the bullet and I am so glad I did. Lily and Willy, the two employees working the front desk were so incredibly kind it brought me to tears. Lily comforted me like we have been friends for years, and that is not something you ever expect from a employee. Don’t forget to cancel before you move out of state. They require you cancel in person, or send a snail mail letter to them. The club in the new state is unable and the parent company is unable to cancel by phone. In fact, actually finding out where your original club was to begin with to mail said letter is a fun ride. Went to this planet fitness October 23rd and was greeted by an amazing employee named Luis. He was so helpful and so knowledgeable I’m glad you guys have employees like this. But there was one down side to this place a gentleman or should I say child named will was very rude and disrespectful to a few members behind their backs i over heard his saying disgusting thing about some of the females while they were working out and i don’t know if they if it’s normal or professional for him to be sitting on the counter while member's were asking for help and walking in .. I have been a member at so many gyms over the years I can't even count them all. Planet Fitness is always clean and orderly. I can almost always get on equipment quickly. I love the 30 minute circuit room. It was developed by Biggest Loser. It is a great workout! And I can do it any time. I don't have to wait until a class starts like at OrangeTheory or elsewhere. Really nice facility, all the equipment is really modern and well taken care of.
They have plenty of lockers if you want to store anything and changing rooms and showers in the bathroom.
If you're a black card member they have a spa area that has massaging chairs, tanning beds, and other amenities.
The employees are very friendly and helpful. I found everyone to be friendly but not bothersome, everyone seemed focused on their workout which is a good thing. I go to the Watson location and I really like it.

This business has been charging my husband for months even after cancelling. We have called repeatedly and they lied that the refund is coming but we keep on getting charged.
It is sad because I liked this gym a lot but management is a rip off.
