I’ve been training at Rise fitness in carthage since they opened and it’s been excellent. The gym is clean, equipment is well-maintained and there’s plenty of cardio, machines, cable machines and free weights, even at peak times. Staff like Mike is always welcoming and quick to help. The 24 hour is a great bonus. Highly recommend to anyone in local areas they are located at.

I’ve been going to Rise Fitness since January, and I can honestly say it’s the first gym I’ve ever stuck with! I originally joined just to lose some weight for my friend’s wedding, but I ended up falling in love with lifting weights. The space is clean, the equipment is great, and I always feel comfortable working out here.

At first, I hated coming alone (I would even miss days when my friend couldn't come), but everyone is super nice and welcoming — it never feels like people are staring or judging. It’s such a positive environment, and I’m so glad I found this place!

I would give zero stars if I could. This gym is completely unprofessional and clearly does not care about its members. I have been trying to cancel my membership since May 2025, and despite reaching out multiple times through calls and emails, they continue to charge me every single month. Every attempt I’ve made to resolve this has either been ignored or brushed aside.
What makes it worse is that the only time they seem to care about contacting customers is when it benefits them !! Whether it’s sending messages about late payments or blasting out promotions. Yet when a customer has a real issue that needs to be fixed, like canceling a membership, they are nowhere to be found. So thank you to this gym for teaching me exactly what not to look for in a membership !! Unprofessional staff, nonexistent support, and a company more dedicated to draining wallets than helping people reach their goals.

Great gym for the area, suitable weight provided for more advanced lifters and a decent variety of machines. Only nitpick is trash left on the floor and machines not being wiped down, but this is directed towards the patrons and not the gym owner/gym itself. If you frequent here do better. Clean up after yourself.

Great gym and really nice owner only thing keeping it from 5 star is it has slightly too few plates so you have to borrow from other machines/racks often so plates are moved around a lot along with a couple small things here and there, but that is being nitpicky would still highly recommend to other people!

To many people not cleaning the machines after themselves or treating the machines like toys. No fans in the tanning beds, one tanning bed door always closed and it locks so you can’t use it until manager gets back on Monday. The gym itself is great, but the high school kids and the people who just come for fun and abuse the gym make it non enjoyable to do a workout.
