Ranya Anabtawi, E-RYT, MFA is founder and owner of Empathic Yoga Therapy + Reiki a private yoga studio for one on one instruction by appointment only. Experience a unique combination of Restorative yoga, Reiki energy healing to distress and release anxiety.
My virtual group and private instruction and Usui Reiki healing techniques enhance my Restorative Yoga teachings to guide students into a deep state of bliss and connection. It is from that empathic gaze a broader sense of awareness is cultivated for oneself and others. In a time of great change, where people, cultures, races, and ethnicities long to be recognized, Empathic Yoga leads the way to that understanding.

Like a lot of men, self care isn't my strong suit. My yoga knowledge and experience isn't 0 but it's close.For Christmas my loving wife got me a package of sessions. Ranya has a gentle healing touch and clearly takes great care in her service with others whether it be Yoga, Retreats, Community events and women’s connection groups, Ranya is an amazing teacher and patient space holder of our human journey. For anyone who has a deregulated nervous system, Ranya is your secret to calming and regulating your mind and body. Every time I walk away from my session feeling more grounded, centered, at peace and ready to engage with the world in a new way. I highly recommend Ranya. I felt safe and heard with Ranya about incorporating different yogic practices. She has over 15 years of experience offering blended modalities. Also, her space is set up as a luxury experience. She personalizes the session to your specific needs/abilities. It re-opened a door for my health that I would like to explore. Ranya offers both a high degree of professionalism and a very warm and personal connection. She is very knowledgeable about the body and how all the parts work together (or don't work so well!) Ranya provides such care and attention to detail in her Restorative Yoga offering. I have left sessions feeling like I have truly been given a gift. Ranya has had a profound influence on my life and spirituality. I worked with her to learn meditation and mindfulness, and she was simply the best teacher I could have ever wished for. She also started me down the path for Reiki certification, something I hope to pursue in the future. All of our work was remote, she being in Montana and me in Idaho, and she is a true master of the remote medium. Empathic, upbeat, knowledgeable, cheerful --- Ranya is the real deal. I’ve been practicing yoga for decades now, and honestly, I’ve tended to shy away from the “gentle yoga” type, historically preferring a more heart-pumping, sweat-inducing “power” or “flow” yoga style - the kind that felt less like meditation and more like a workout. So, when I started hearing about “restorative” yoga, I assumed it was similar, if not synonymous with “gentle” yoga. I couldn’t have been more wrong. And, with Ranya as my guide, I have become a lifelong convert! With her soothing, competent direction, supported by a calming, comforting touch, I was able to shed all my pre-conceived notions of what the experience might be, and instead slide effortlessly into an immensely relaxed state I previously thought impossible! What Ranya demonstrated, with her expert guidance and knowledge, is that her approach to Restorative yoga has a powerful, lasting ability to both heal and inspire, paving the way for a more holistic self-care practice. It doesn’t replace my regular yoga practice, but instead informs BOTH my mind and body with a deep, subconscious sense of compassion and care, elevating both my regular practice and my daily life to a higher quality.

The experience I had with this extraordinary human being and teacher is beyond amazing! I've suffered from anxiety for a long time now and I always struggle to find a way to feel relaxed, to put my mind and body to rest and to feel at ease but with Ranya I was really able to do so. After my restorative yoga session I felt relaxed and rested as if I had slept the right amount of hours my body needs (which I rarely do), she's really able to make you feel comfortable and at ease, she's very delicate and gentle and her voice is very calming. I definitely reccomend Ranya to everyone. Yoga is a very powerful tool to our body and mind but you need the right teacher to guide you and well... she DEFINITELY is one!

I've attended Ranya's yoga classes weekly via Zoom for nearly a year, and my flexibility and strength are greatly improved. I attend as many of Ranya's classes as I can. Although I've attended yoga classes sporadically for many years, Ranya's approach really resonates with me and for the first time I have developed a consistent yoga practice. Ranya's classes are so well planned and she provides feedback as needed. I feel calm and strong after each class. I highly recommend Ranya's yoga classes.

I've had a lot of different and excellent yoga teachers, and Ranya is one of the best. I've been practicing with her for over 10 years. She once helped me heal up a nagging hip injury (thru restorative yoga) and recently we've done private sessions for my scoliosis (turns out yoga was the only treatment my doc could recommend!). I miss her healing touch, but I do really like her Zoom classes too. She plans out the poses so well and carefully guides my body to releases tensions I didn't know were there.
