Blue Moon Fitness clubs are comfortable enough, friendly enough, helpful enough, and affordable enough that even people who only exercise once in a Blue Moon can fit in.

Blue Moon Fitness is not your typical health club and we want you to understand that up front. Our goal is to treat each member and guest the way we would want our own mother treated if she was in a gym 500 miles away dealing with strangers. We would want her treated with love, respect, and kindness. That doesn’t mean that she would get her way “just because”.

With four locations in the Omaha area, Blue Moon provides an innovative, modern and efficient fitness experience. We focus on community and comfort, and we serve everyday people just focused on being better.

I’m extremely disappointed with Blue Moon Fitness and their outdated, inconvenient cancellation policy. The only way they allow you to cancel your membership is by physically going into the building or by mailing a letter to their corporate office. No online option, no phone option, no email option—nothing.

I moved far away and it’s ridiculous that in 2025 a gym still forces people to send a physical letter just to stop being charged. It feels intentionally difficult, and honestly, it comes off as predatory. If a business can sign you up online in seconds, they should let you cancel just as easily.

I will not be recommending Blue Moon Fitness to anyone. Do better.

They don't entirely explain what you're signing up for. Their ads of cheap and affordable memberships is a guise. They neglected to mention and gloss past their annual fee, so that was a surprise. I cancelled my membership at the start of the month but they will continue to collect 2 months of payments from you because "they run a month ahead." Be aware you'll get ripped and nobody knows anything in there.

Response: Supposedly all that they typed is clear and easy to understand. It’s not. Take an example for Carla Madison in CO - Patrons are billed on the same date each month. Email to cancel membership 72hrs before billing is due. Get straight to the point.

You should train your employees to better explain every single detail. My example is plain and simple, yours is not.

Runaway. They are a scam. You cannot cancel your membership easily. They will continue to steal money from you long after your card has been canceled. Even after you canceled they will still charge you. They will use the argument that you have signed a contract. Their contract terms are outrageous. It is not worth it. Pay to go to a better gym.

Based off other reviews about cancelations (and the fact that I never received a response to an email I sent to the owner about another issue), I can't say that I'm not concerned if I ever need to cancel, but I'm not going to allow a future hypothetical affect my review today. I am however giving one less star because I didn't ever get a response to that email, and that reflects upon the company as a whole.

Onto the reason I'm even writing a review... The staff is friendly (at least during the hours I go), and they are on top of the cleanliness. Almost every time I'm there, someone is cleaning the equipment at some point. This is the main reason I started going to this location, as the 84th and center location equipment has a layer of dust on everything. The after hours scanner also works better here (I've struggled with the 84th scanner before). I plan to continue my fitness journey at Blue Moon, as the price is very reasonable and the locations aren't out of my way. This location (108th) would get 4.5 stars by itself. The .5 stars deducted is because some of the equipment could be either repaired or replaced, but overall it's pretty good.

This gym is a joke when it comes to canceling your membership. I let Cecilia up at the front desk know well in advance that I was needing to cancel my membership and she informed me that there isn’t a cancellation fee as long as I let them know 30 days in advance which I did. I went into the club and canceled in person due to their policy and I asked her multiple times if everything was go to go and that there wasn’t anything else I needed to do. She assured me that everything was fine and that I didn’t owe any more dues and that I was good to go. Now several months later I’m getting a letter in the mail stating that they have sent my account into collections for almost 3 times the amount of the membership. Absolutely unacceptable. Avoid signing any type of contract here and avoid the gym altogether. I have yet to hear from them about any type of resolution to this matter. Now my credit score that I have worked years to repair has taken a hit because someone didn’t do their job right and I have to suffer from their ignorance.

The worst Gym i have ever seen in my life, worst policy’s for changing the plans, cancellation, and many more.
I was joined with Medium plan and after few months planned to change my plan to basic but they asking again money for enrollment fee, annual fee because of changing the plan.

I signed up and only needed the basic membership, but was told it was actually cheaper to sign up with the higher membership because they had a promo going on with no enrollment fee. I was told I could just downgrade to basic before my first month was up. I went in to do that and was charged a $39 enrollment fee and there was nothing they could do. I’m already a member and you are charging an enrollment fee!? I also paid more for the first month that I knew I didn’t need it want. Don’t join this gym. I’ve been a member at numerous other gyms that don’t have shady practices like this.

The staff have all been really helpful. Emerson at the front desk went through all of the membership options and worked with me to find which one would be best for me.
I am visiting from out of town, and have gotten into a good routine of going to the gym at home. I come here for several weeks each summer and didn't want to loose my pace. Everyone here has been super welcoming and friendly. I have joined some group classes and the trainers have been fantastic. Especially Molly. As someone who feels like the community is really important to your success in your fitness journey, this is the place for you!
I will certainly continue to come back each time I am in Omaha.

Absolute scum bag of a company will not allow you to cancel your membership now matter how hard you try.

I moved out of the country and was unable to come in to cancel. Their answer was that I MUST send a CERTIFIED LETTER in order to cancel. It was NOT POSSIBLE for me to cancel via phone or email or any other way aside from walking in the door. It was also not possible for me to send a certified letter from South Africa and I had to wait until I came back for Christmas to cancel my membership by walking in the door.

I couldn't imagine being a member of the management team and purposefully ripping people off in this way.

So originally, I liked this gym and staff quite a bit. That was until I decided I was moving out of state and it’s been a totally different experience trying to cancel the membership and get my money back for my personal training which isn’t going to happen now. Jason, who was the was the manager at the 108th south location moved on to a different gym and company. I was under the impression from him that this was money was refundable for personal training, If you didn’t use it all the money or moved. I was informed by the other Blue moon manager that they put the personal training money into a different account which seems fishy as well. That that money cannot be taken out and is nonrefundable. I understand this, but when you get transferred by a company, I think they need to look at all aspects of you’re asking for your money back. There is no reason why they shouldn’t refund this or at least use part of it for my cancellation fee of which they won’t. I find this very frustrating and will not be back to do business with them again if I ever move back to the Omaha.

Don’t sign up for personal training… if any life thing thats thrown at you like your car breaking down & moving homes across Omaha so u can’t make it to training you won’t get a refund! DON’T DO IT!

I’ll provide reasoning as to why I would not recommend Blue Moon. I am an active duty service member. Summer 2023 there was a $1 sign up, biweekly payment, NO CONTRACT. Promotion. That is what was briefed to me by personnel employed at this business. I was placed on orders to another state and when cancelling I was told to pay a $50 cancellation fee. I paid it. This prompted me to review the initial contract again. I see that there are multiple errors. I then bring this to the attention of management who after several days of dodging the customer, (Mr. Bromley to be specific) explains that because I paid the cancellation fee I am not entitled to a refund. That if I would not paid it then the membership cancellation fee wouldn’t be an issue. I close with multiple employees acknowledging that the membership was set up wrong. I also take accountability for signing documentation (allegedly) that was incorrect. Please do not do business with this company. They could care less about customer satisfaction.

If I could give this location negative stars I would. I paid for personal training sessions upfront in full. Three sessions in I was hit with a 120$ charge. No one at the location or manager are able to tell me what this is for. This was in Aug. it is now Nov and still dealing with them on my refund. They have stated several time your refund is approved we are waiting on the owner now!!!! it’s for extra training sessions. My trainer got FIRED before I even finished. The dude would was not consistent and wouldn’t show up some session just trash. Than this week another 120 was taking out and they can’t tell me what it’s for. DO NOT TRUST THIS GYM. SCAMMERS!! The fact they haven’t offered compensation after leaving me hanging with training sessions and taking my money for god knows what. I called corporate everyday last month no one has returned my calls either. DO NOT TRUST!!! It’s 2024 there should be penalty of documentation stating what is being charged and why! You should be able to tell your customers with ease why you are taking their money. I don’t have an extra 120 to give away.

If you try to cancel they will keep charging you and it's a huge hassle. The "no commitment" memberships are a lie.

I was def a member for more than 30 days so idk what the reply below is talking about. I was there for 6+ months.

Update 2: When I signed up I was told it's no commitment. Want to cancel? You have to come in in-person. When I did that and canceled it kept charging me. I was told 30 days more days of charges. Then I was told it's the next full month of charges. It was not clear/upfront in my case.

Update 3: I have called and confirmed my cancelation half a dozen times. I continue to receive spam calls and mail and now have been contacted by a collections agency. This place is a SCAM

Canceled my membership 2 months ago and told them i would pay for this month and bext months just to make sure i don'thave to come back later and pay any balances. They told me that would be fine and today they are still trying to charge me 10 weeks later. I have been in 5 times in the last 2-3 months and everytime I go in they tell me they figured out the issue, it has been fixed and I shouldn't be charged anymore and a week later I have a new charge pending with late fees and everything. The last two times I came in to talk and try to resolve it i talked to a Tessa and she said I should be good and she would let the manager Kelly know and he would call me. 5 days later, I have not received any calls and they are still trying to call me. Luckily my card on file had expired recently so they aren't able to just pull money out of my account but I would like to try and get this resolved.

Pretty average gym but the membership situation is horrid. Military moved me across the country and when I called to cancel after having been moved, I was told I'd have to do it in person which was clearly not an option. Apparently they have a very, very strict policy regarding some piece of paperwork I need to sign. He said there was nothing he would be able to do. Called back another time and was told that my information would be given to a manager who would cancel it. Didn't happen. Called again and was told I could just put a stop payment on them and they'd eventually cancel it. Fine. Did that and now they've sent it to collections? Insane. Have an actually helpful person reach out to me.

They claim to be very upfront about the process of canceling, which is completely false. I just called pretending to be a potential new member curious about a membership and asked about the cancellation policy. They gave me the same runaround they give everyone else claiming no commitment and immediately able to cancel. Why do you think they get so defensive? Read the other reviews. Liars get very defensive, they are just liars.
Response to Joel: I joined at the Central location and had all club access. Thanks for providing the literature. My point is Blue Moon specifically goes out of its way to make the cancellation process as difficult as possible. When signing up I verbally asked the employee what the cancellation process is and they assured me it was very simple and immediate. It would be good business to be clear when signing people up. Might help with these bad reviews and you wouldn’t have to try to justify anything.

Unfortunately, I have had to change my take on Blue Moon Fitness. The above holds true however I have been harassed by their sales team since my one visit. I have repeatedly asked to be removed from their marketing lists yet continue to get calls, emails and text messages. I visited for one workout and have now been victimized repeatedly. I have gone to the authorities and they are working to stop this over reach. Truly unbelievable.

I’ve been a member since September 16th this year and I have dropped 20lbs of fat just by running several miles each visit on the awesome treadmills here and dieting. I’ve also gained interest in lifting weights more frequently. The staff and atmosphere is feel good. Remember that you are there for you and everyone should feel the same for themselves.

I love this gym and I’ve been a member since 2017. I hate to gripe because the staff is terrific, but this location has a safety issue. The parking lot has become dangerous ever since Mega Saver finished remodeling and I’m not getting a response from Blue Moon when I bring it up. Drivers cut across the Blue Moon parking lot to get to Mega Saver and they do not look. They are hard to see. Last night I was almost hit as I drove into the parking lot and then again as I was leaving the parking lot. This is typical. I’ve brought it up to Local Management a couple times, most recently a couple weeks ago. I’ve tried to escalate this by sending a message to the Omaha South location on Facebook as well as emailing the address appearing on Facebook, hoping that someone would read it take it seriously. I haven’t heard back. I’m hoping that my review will get some attention and prompt a response…some simple Jersey Barriers would help, or even Parking Bumpers like what they already have along the front of the building. We’re getting into the busy time of year when new members join and they won’t be familiar with the parking lot situation. I honestly don’t plan on going anywhere because I love this gym…just trying to look out for others and hopefully avoid an accident myself. I promise to add a star for each Jersey Barrier you put up. ;-)

I just love this place. The staff is always friendly (but not *overly* friendly; they let you do your thing). There is more than enough equipment to go around. The music is never too loud. The machines are clean and well-maintained. The women's-only area is massive. I've used the personal training services too, and my trainer was fantastic. I can't recommend this gym enough!

BEWARE!!!! My car was broken into in the Blue Moon fitness parking lot on 108th and Q area in broad daylight. They pulled up beside my vehicle, broke the window out and stole all the contents. Omaha Police can do nothing because their cameras did not capture the license plate due to two blurry of footage.

There are so many things I LOVE about Bluemoon from the "hello, how are you" greeting you get when you walk in the doors to the "have a good night" you get as you are leaving for the day! Bluemoon has such a welcoming environment that I havent experienced at any other gym. I partake in a number of group fitness classes such as Body Pump, CTY, Zumba and Total Body Fitness and I love the relationships that I have formed because of these classes. Talia (CTY instructor) has become someone I consider a friend! Dana (Total Body) walked up to me my very first class, introduced herself and took the time to explain the class to me and from that day has remembered my name ! Lesley & Beth (Body Pump) are both amazing, I love their energy and how fun they make class. Rae (Zumba) is such a light, her bubbly, upbeat personality is just so refreshing! I also had the opportunity to try out the Coccoon Wellness Pod for the first time this week and let me tell you, it will NOT be the last time that I use it! I appreciate all that the Bluemoon team has done to create such a healthy (physically & mentally) environment for people. I wont go to any other gym!

Switched back to this gym after having a fall out with a workout buddy at another gym. This location has great trainers and they are all friendly and knowledgeable. they have good little luxuries like the body scan, cocoon, massage chairs and tanning. We had several good deals we took advantage of. Equipment is well kept, and new sections for deadlifting is nice. Classes, free weights, womens only area. I'd recommend this for anyone looking to get fit and wants more than bare bones gym.

Blue Moon South is an excellent facility. Friendly staff, great equipment, clean (great effort to keep everyone safe during the pandemic)---the best part for me...the women's workout area. I highly recommend Blue Moon!

Awesome gym. I moved to Nebraska for summer sales and was very happy with the gym. But had to move back home because of a family accident. I was aware of the 50 dollar cancellation fee, however I cancelled over a month ago and they are still charging my bank account. I have called the main office (leaving a voice mail) and emailed them. Getting no response after THREE WEEKS. Also when when I call my specific location they tell me their manager will get a hold of me. Yet a week goes by with no response. Not professional at all.

Tried to cancel my membership. Immediately recieved attitude from both employees behind the counter. Didnt get the information i needed so i left the store. I called back multiple times to try and leave a voicemail for the manager to call me and got cussed at by the employee on the phone and hung up on 3 times. Dont sign up for membership here. Literally anywhere is a better option.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. They answer questions willingly including those about how to use equipment. The facility is clean and well-maintained. I'm grateful that Joe (the manager) suggested I look into using MyZone, a heart monitor that's connected to an app that lets me earn points and set up challenges, among other things. It's provided great incentive. In addition, I've also received feedback from Blue Moon's personnel about my progress with MyZone, which is above and beyond on their part! I've belonged to various clubs here and in another state over the years and this is by far the best!

As far as value goes, you really can't beat it. This place is $10/month and the equipment is better than a ton of the other, more expensive gyms in town.

It is overly crowded at times, but if you plan it during times you know other people are busy, you basically just have a giant gym to yourself.

I absolutely love this gym! I’ve been going for 2 months now as a first time exerciser. The staff is extremely friendly/helpful and they make me feel welcome every time I go there. I’ve been tracking my weight loss and muscle gain with their Styku machine, and it is so awesome! It scans my body every 30 days and provides in-depth reports on my body measurements, body fat percentages, and my losses/gains. It is extremely motivating to see those results with the Styku, I love it! I do personal training sessions here also and am learning so much about fitness and exercise while also losing weight and gaining muscle at the same time. Also I really love the “Women’s Only” work out area they provide. A great gym with a friendly caring manager (Joe), highly recommend!

Went once, staff made me feel incredibly uncomfortable about myself. Trying to cancel but have to go in and moved extremely far away from any locations lol exactly why I'm canceling. My overall experience with the workers in the gym was very good. However there always seems to be machines broken for several weeks when I went in. My biggest issue with Blue Moon is their membership management. I needed to cancel my membership as I am in college and am taking advantage of the on campus workout facilities that I already pay for in my tuition. There is no way to manage your membership online, so I called to cancel. However, I was told the only way I can cancel is to physically go to the gym and cancel there or to send certified mail to the location. How is this convenient at all? If you need something in writing, why cant I send an email? Disappointed that I have to jump through hoops for a simple membership cancellation. I'll consider any other gym before I come back to Blue Moon after I'm finished with college.

19.99 a month for unlimited work outs, fitness classes, and tanning! (And massage chairs) Did I mention you can bring a guest with you to work out whenever you like?!! the class instructors are awesome and front desk is friendly and always remembers you. I’ve been to 3 locations in Omaha and one in Lincoln and this is the one I keep going back to. Recommend! The only down side is no child play area so it has to be done during daycare time, and there is no sauna otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

I think blue moon fitness have all you need and more of exercise equipment. Other gyms focus on pools and spas but blue moon focus on giving you all you need for great workout.
