I came to the gym to workout and forgot my T-shirt. Went to the front desk, for a review they gave me a T-shirt. Previously if I didn’t have all my gear I would have gone home. So seeking out a T-shirt is huge. I’ve been working with Ben for over a year and that’s made a difference for me. I do the work but he makes me a plan based on my goals and time available. He encourages me and challenges me, he knows when to push and when to let up. I’ve more energy on days I’ve trained with him. Functionality is what I’m interested in and Ben is great with that. He makes small corrections in my form which helps me exercise correctly, without hurting myself. He’s also trained some of the other trainers. Overall Genesis is a good place. It’s getting updated now and members continue to focus on their health goals and are positive during the construction. I’ve been other places where people were complainers and that’s not the vibe at Genesis. Members, staff, everyone is positive, friendly and welcoming.

This is a great place to work out for my whole family! My husband has used a personal trainer, my daughters enjoy water aerobics, I enjoy playing basketball with my son. I’m gonna be very honest, I don’t know how I could leave a great review. Genesis has everything you want in a gym. They have a great steam room and the pool is nice. They have all kinds of equipment. Over the years they have had many water issues. I get a membership here to take my kids swimming each summer. The family accommodations are awful. The showers aren’t that big and there is only one family room attached to each locker room. They also charge a premium for the membership. If you are going to charge a lot, then be better. I love Genesis, I go 3-5 times a week right now. I just have to be honest, right now, this is a 3 star gym. Thanks for cleaning the curtains!

If you want a gym that has it all, Genesis could be the gym for you. I've been going here for about a decade. I love the morning basketball and all the necessary workout equipment. The bathrooms are underwhelming but are currently getting renovated!

I'm someone that likes to swim, sauna, play hoops, lift, and sometimes grab a protein shake... so Genesis a great fit for me.

What a wonderful place to be, the staff and members are very nice. I work with a very wonderful young disabled woman and this place makes us feel so welcomed. This specific location could use a remodel, and major TLC. Everything is outdated, with water damage on a lot of the celling tiles with black stuff (could be mold who knows) , half the free weight benches aren’t useable and it smells musty. The lack of care has deterred me from coming and I’ve been going to a different gym but I will be going to the racquet club location even if it’s further.

I walked in to Genesis gym after working for famer. Found out I had a membership that had forgot about. I have had a Hurna Operation. So I started working out at Genesis gym. I had (2) two membership. Now I have been working out at Genesis gym. Four (4) months now. Iam so grateful I walk in just wanted a clean dry t-shirt.

I feel compelled to share my journey with Genesis, hoping it resonates with and inspires others in our community. I've reached out to several contacts at Genesis to ensure my story is heard and shared.

My journey began at a time when I was grappling with immense challenges. Weighing over 410 pounds, I faced severe knee issues from past injuries and was deep in the grips of depression, worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic and the dreariness of remote work. A cane was my constant companion, a reminder of my limitations.

However, everything changed when I discovered the joy of water classes at the club. This newfound joy brought a positive shift in my mental and physical health. In January 2024, I faced a significant setback with an emergency umbilical hernia surgery. The week spent in the hospital and the long recovery that followed left me feeling fragile, both physically and emotionally. At my lowest point, overwhelmed by feelings of despair, I even considered ending my own life.

It was during the 2024 Summer Pool Party that I met swim instructor Thomas Lawson, whose kindness and encouragement rekindled a spark of hope within me. I had long dreamed of learning to swim but had failed twice before. Despite my ongoing struggles, I took a leap of faith and enrolled in his swim lessons.

On what I thought would be my final day, planning a drive to Illinois with a devastating intention, I made a promise to show up for my scheduled lesson. Thomas's support during that lesson became a turning point in my life. He recognized my struggles and, through our conversations, not only restored my hope but also instilled excitement for my future. He guided me in overcoming my deep-seated fears of water and even introduced exercises to aid my knees.

Since that pivotal day, my life has taken a remarkable turn. I have shed around 60 pounds, my reliance on a cane has vanished, and even with my knees still bearing the scars of past injuries, I can now move with newfound ease. I owe my renewed perspective on life to the unwavering support of Thomas Lawson and the Genesis Health Club.

My personal trainer, Morgan, has been incredible. Her expertise, motivation, and personalized approach have helped me achieve fitness goals I never thought possible. Morgan creates challenging yet achievable workouts tailored specifically to my needs and high fitness level. We have been going to Genesis over 3 years, primarily at 70th and A. The staff is friendly, and the members are respectful and friendly as well. The equipment in the gym is maintained . My husband plays morning basketball, while I use the circuit weights and other equipment and the walking lap. Upkeep is 3.5, but overall I''d rate the activities, and the environment a 4 +. Happy and content people 3-4 mornings a week, at 6 am is a win.

At Genesis Health Club I have always felt welcomed! I joined a silver sneakers class and have enjoyed getting to know the other members. The exercises are geared to Seniors and we are encouraged to listen to our bodies and do as much as we can. Our instructor, Ashley, is wonderful! She was selected as one of the top four instructors in the nation! A well deserved recognition’

Lap swimming at the inside pool is awesome! I love the indoor pickleball play time in the gymnasium, but wish there were more late afternoon "open play" times on the schedule. The exception is that I hear many complaints when sharing the courts with basketball players because of the excessive noise. What I've read posted by others fairly reflects my experience at the East Lincoln Genesis. From the check-in folks to the personal trainers, staff is exceptional, especially Ben, Morgan, and Jeremy. Also accurate are comments that the physical building (locker rooms/broken down lockers, worn floor surfaces, stains/holes/peeling paint on walls/ceilings, weak water faucets, etc.) is VERY worn. The cleanliness of towels (stains and worn thin) and shower curtains (new not long ago, but already stained) can and should be improved upon. Carpeted floor coverings need to be replaced. I don't think many of these negatives surprise ownership or management as a facility makeover has been long rumored. Some equipment surfaces are being redone and I anticipate that will continue. I don't know if it's due to theft or breakage, but one regularly needs to hunt the facility for the various colors of therabands, more frequently, not finding the desired colors ( they seem to have legs ). Overall, I'd rate the people 5 and the facility 2. Overall, except for some of the cleanliness issues, the local staff has limited ability to address these comments. Corporate needs to get the checkbook out and soon.

The inflatable fun birthday was a hit with our 7 year old and his friends! When you sign up for a party you get to pick a balloon and table cloth color that they provide which is nice to not have to worry about that and getting to make it personal for your child. We also really loved that the cake and gifts were in a seperate room. When the obstacle course is blown up, the kids get the whole gym to their selves. This let all the kids do what they felt comfortable with which was great with the age range we had of 3-7 year olds. All the kids had a great time and all left happy and worn out. According to our son, "Best Birthday Ever!"

I’ve been a member for over a year now and I’ve always gone to 70th and A location. Today I went to the 56th & Old Cheney location. It is so much nicer than A Street location.
Genesis, you really need to modernize the A Street location free weight area. I was a member when it was Prairie Life back in the 80’s and 90’s and the equipment in the free weight area looks like the original equipment. The staff is very nice and outgoing at both locations. It is just the equipment is dated.

We've had three birthday parties here so far and they've all been amazing! After the first party, my other kids said they wanted their parties here too. One kid still remembered ten months later when his birthday rolled around! We haven't held a party anywhere else since! The party hosts are so helpful and really help to corral the kids and keep things moving along. All I have to do is bring the cake! My children love the inflatable and the scooters, and having the whole gym to run around in. I feel like I've hacked birthday parties!

Started last January and still going at least 3-4 times a week, and many times, 2 classes daily! Love the instructors, environment, and how easy it is to work out. They certainly do get great results (small brag:)), and here's to another year!

We had our child's 5th birthday here. All the kids loved it and the staff were great. They set up a bounce house and played games with all the kids. They helped with decorations and cleaned up after. We would recommend if you are looking for a place for a party.

A fun place to have a kid's birthday party! We had our son's birthday party at Genesis Health Club and the kids loved it. They had a giant inflatable, plus they had several other activities and sports to do. We got our private room for food, dessert and to open presents. It was a blast!

Friendly staff. Vanessa does a great job keeping pilates class interesting and challenging- in addition to being a really good core workout. Went to our first bingo night last week - didn’t win anything but it was fun plus there were refreshments! Also we appreciate the adult outside water classes being continued into late September - have really enjoyed that!
