This gym is very dirty and has a weird smell to it. Most of the equipment is either broken, outdated, or has snail trails on the seats.

Truly Exceptional Club—The Best of the Best! (5/5 Stars)

As a Lifetime Fitness member for over 20 years who started in Austin, Texas, and has visited more than a dozen clubs across the country, I feel confident saying I know the standard this brand sets. Every Lifetime facility is outstanding—the equipment is always pristine, the pools are world-class, and the amenities are unmatched.

However, the Omaha, Nebraska location truly stands out, and the differentiator is unequivocally the staff.

While the facility is, of course, beautiful and impeccably maintained, it's the people who make the experience exceptional. The team here is top shelf—from the front desk associates to the maintenance crew and the trainers, every staff member is genuinely welcoming, professional, and proactive.
They create an atmosphere that feels less like a gym and more like a high-end community club. The energy and positive attitude of the Omaha team elevate the entire experience.

If you're looking for the very best in fitness facilities and customer service, you absolutely must check out the Lifetime Fitness in Omaha. They are a shining example of excellence!

I feel like someone I know is getting something stolen out of their lockers weekly. At this point it’s gotta be an inside job. They never even look at the cameras. Something fishy is going on here. Many other gyms to go to that would take care of you like a real person. Do better life time. Do better.

I’m looking for a gym in Omaha and although this may be a “nice” And upscale facility… They need to Take a SERIOUS look at their measures of security as things are getting stolen out of the locker room!!!!! They don’t seem to want to do anything about it.
BTW this just happened earlier this week.
I will definitely be looking somewhere else!!!
I did not even want to put 1 🌟 On the review because I’m so disappointed!

Lifetime fitness has great equipment and is semi clean. Other than that, the staff couldn’t care less about the members regardless of age etc unless you know them personally outside of the gym.
The security is horrid, multiple thefts out of locker rooms and no action is taken at all. All they ask is what is in the locker and they will open up any locker for anyone. They won’t even review the cameras. Lockers are not secure and neither are your vehicles.

Their children’s programs are horrible. They adjust the activity without informing the parents (art class becomes nothing), they completely lost my kid for a full 10 minutes - no one knew where he was, and the last straw in martial art class they had a bully threaten to punch my child in the face. When we went to the director of children’s activities (Wendy) she blew us off and told us there’s nothing they can do about it.

Don’t trust them with your children.

Comparing to other Midwest clubs, Omaha practically fails in every way my opinion. The 2 stars are because it is a nice place and has a lot of amenities.

I thought being back in a more populated city would be amazing for lifetime, but it’s not here.

There are even less group classes, less variety of trainers doing a variety of classes. Not friendly or welcoming staff or trainers. I have used lifetime apps for training/tracking and this club is too good to use them.

Front desk staff does not give you the time of day and just has their heads cranked down on their phone.

Way too expensive for the only thing provided is a roof over our heads. I’m sadly and greatly disappointed in this club.

The gym equipment and amenities are great. The main issue I have is the use of the one remaining basketball court. One court has been changed to pickle ball and the other is often being used for other events. We got our membership years ago and have utilized the courts for years until the recent renovation. It is frustrating to make the trip here with my son to play basketball to find out we can't use the basketball court at the gym we pay almost $300/month.

If you want a more "upscale" gym in Omaha, your options are this or the JCC. Membership fees are high but value for money is good with the pools, kids academy etc. Equipment is consistently well maintained (I *never* see anything out of service), a challenge at most gyms. A lot of the classes and kids programs are great, though my experience with the trainers was pretty meh.

Also, this isn't the fault of anyone in Omaha, but Lifetime IT needs work. The phone app is poorly designed and makes it difficult to find the classes you're looking for, and the Web application for swim lessons works pretty much by accident.

Been to many lifetimes across the country…. This is the only location where as a signature member you still have to ask permission to use Lifetime Recovery ( Crytherapy and Massage Chair ) the last thing anyone wants to do after a long workout is walk downstairs and wait around for the front desk to authorize you to use the equipment I pay $175/mo for. Please address this policy or just get rid of it all together….

I’m not new to lifetime and have been going for years in a different state. I’m completely sold on the model. As for this specific location I think a rating of 4 which is where it currently stands is fair. It’s a lovely gym with great staff. Kid club is absolutely amazing and I feel safe leaving my kids there. Equipment is great and classes are nearly perfect. At the same time, the gym seems to lag in maintenance. The water pressure is very low in women’s locker room showers. This is a constant issue. Several times I used the showers and the water just won’t get hot even with shower knob turned all the way to hot. It is lukewarm. Several changing room doors in the women’s locker rooms are sagging and therefore don’t shut properly. My kids like to push exit buttons on front doors for me since I usually walk with a baby or a stroller and those buttons were broken a couple of times. I stopped showering there which is inconvenient. Studio 1 is always super hot and there is no air circulation either (not a single fan). Prepare to be extra hot and humid.

Out of state member and have traveled to many locations and this is the first time the hydro massage chair is unavailable during normal gym hours. The equipment doesn’t take staffing to operate. I feel bad for individuals that pay for this membership only to be limited and restricted to what other members at different locations have full access to.

Not a friendly place... Lady at reception( typical Karen) is very aggressive.
Was trying to be nice from beginning to the end…..
Had a minor issue, instead of trying to help called some random dude to tell me to leave so I don’t hold the door. Typical “let’s resolve any issue with maximum aggression” people.

Will be canceling our memberships.

LEGENDARY massage, Pat Dyer. I had a layover here and was recommend Patrick by a local Facebook group of "things to do" in this little city. I was sold when I found out he was Irish! The gym he was working at seemed okay too, very large and the people were decently welcoming.

For Patrick though...he really took the time to ask me where my stress and pain was before my session and put extra attention into it. I came into the session without good mobility due to wrestling, and came in extremely dense with mental fog € stagnant energy. When I got off the table I felt like the entire world was lifted from my shoulders...& when I was walking I felt like I was floating 😂

His personal place was very clean, very nice soothing energy and it smelt good too. Money well spent

It really helped me get back on my feet for the week and words can't explain how it really helped with my following week at work (around alot of people) and my flexibility at practice. 100/100. Your a good lad! I hope your gym pays you well for the work you put in! Do you buy any chance do at home service? In Ireland? Cheers bai

The classes have been amazing! I am very spontaneous, so I really like how flexible I can be with the variety of them to choose from. Right now a typical day for me looks like GTX at 6AM, steam room and office work from 7-8, 8-9:15 I play pickleball, then I do kickboxing from 9:30-10:30. This is becoming what a standard morning looks like for me. I started out only doing the 6 AM GTX classes and 2 months later, here I am. Me and my wife utilize the daycare, we have been taking our kids to swim lessons, we use the salon and spa and we are excited for the outdoor pool to open up next week. There are just so many things to do here. Is it pricy? Yes, but just use the membership and it will be worth it.

Expect to pay full price while half the amenities are shutdown or closed off. For the past two years, membership costs have continued to shoot up, but for most of the past year, either the showers, sauna, steam room, hot tub, the entire locker room, or portions of the of the weight room are shutdown. Why would I pay such high prices when half of what I want to use is always unavailable? Just before canceling my membership, Lifetime threatened to raise prices again if I canceled and tried rejoining at a later time -- the audacity to threaten a price hike when I'm barely getting anything out of what I'm already paying for! Normally I'd give it 4/5 stars, but seeing I only received half of what I paid for, it gets half the rating.

I had just went into the gym with my friend we are both 17 and wanted to try out the gym. when i walked in i had told the man at the front desk i wanted a day pass for both me and her and told me it would be 40$ a piece, which was fine. So, he took me around the counter to pay and or start getting signed up with a liability sheet and then asked how old we were and said we had to be 18 to get a day pass on our own when he should’ve started with that. i would be less upset if he mentioned that in the first place but after the fact that we were already halfway in wasn’t right. like i currently work at genesis so i understand gym policies but 18 is kind of crazy. Especially since online you can get a membership at your gym in the “26 and under” and the age limit rages from 14yrs old and up.

Beware Men & Women I guess. Someone is going into the locker rooms & getting your combinations, using there phone to zoom in while your opening your locker, then breaking in your locker later and taking your credit cards then going to Walmart by gym and other places & spending large amounts of money on your cards. Relative just had $2,500 charged at Wal-mart after a man was seen around his locker. Be careful with your locker code numbers because the thief is on the prowl.
As for the thief your on camera at Walmart so it's just a matter of time so I hope you enjoy your last free days.

New member went the first time solo and the second time I brought my kids 2 and 5 with me. I thought they would have fun in the kids club but they never want to go back. My 5 year old on the way home told me how big kids had trapped him in the big play juggle gym and were shoving him kicking him and not letting him out. The group of big kids also told him not to tell any grown ups what they were doing. My son escaped and went to find a grown up and says he couldn't find one. My husband went back up to the gym to cancel our membership and talk to the manager about the incident but apparently they can't be bothered. No one should have to experience this when leaving their child somewhere that is supposed to be a safe space. I worry what may have happened to my 2 year old as he was in the same area as my 5 year old playing in the same jungle gym. No one was close by to hear what was happening or stopped it or even mention to me if they knew what had happened. Completely unacceptable.

We’ve been members for the better part of 15 years. Mostly good over that time, but the value just isn’t there like it used to be. More and more of the gym is being converted into areas for paid services leaving less and less space for general members that already pay quite a bit. Many of those classes blast music polluting the space with noise. The space that’s left is also being altered and feels both claustrophobic and overcrowded after recent changes. The facility itself is starting to show its age as well. On the good side, Jim and staff are very friendly and helpful. Hours are good and the overall environment is open, light, and airy.

State of the art facility with many amenities, however it's tanking quickly. Many amenities have been removed and most of the time they are closed even when the gym is open. With monthly premiums being as high as they are one would think it would be managed better but don't get your hopes up. I'm sure corporate components are to blame for this because the staff has always been great, friendly, and helpful. Love the classes with Beth. They have a daycare for the kids, which is nice. They don’t let you use the quiet rooms anywhere. There are several empty offices they could let you use if they wanted to, but they don’t. They blame the fact that they don’t have a business center like other gyms do, but honestly it wouldn’t be hard to solve this issue if they were customer service oriented. If you need to take a business call, your best bet is to go to your car.

We have been going to this club for a very long time. I’m ONLY giving it two stars instead of one because of how much we love the facility itself.

Unfortunately, that facility is being run into the ground by the corporate greed of ‘Lifetime’. All that was good about it is slowly being taken away piece by piece. The focus of this review is going to be the whirlpool hot tub.

It is a huge hot tub; the biggest you’ll ever find. The problem is that it has two massaging waterfalls that cascade beautifully out of the walls. It is magical. Sadly, the company decided they didn’t want to invest into it’s upkeep. So they shut them down permanently. Now, the hot tub is lackluster even compared to their other locations in different cities, due to the fact that not only is the main feature now gone, but the regular jets are underpowered, and some don’t even work.

There are little holes in the floor for water bubbling action, which have not worked in years. It’s also dirty and reeks of too much chlorine.

Did they ever ask members if it would be alright to remove the waterfalls? NO! Most people didn’t even know until they were unceremoniously shut off one day. People LOVE those! You won’t find anything else like it in the whole city.

Of course they won’t charge us less for removing amenities we are paying for!
I truly hope ‘Lifetime’ regains it’s senses and decides to repair those waterfalls, not to mention address all the other issues with the management of the club.

The gym may be nice and they may have lots of activities to take part in but their monitoring of the pool is almost nonexistent during the day and completely absent at night during adult swim.

I’ve witnessed, multiple times, lifeguards not paying attention to what’s going on in the pool during the day - on multiple occasions seeing lifeguards actually pushing kids in the pool.

Right now, it’s slightly after 8pm and I’m watching six teenage age boys, under the age of 16 and unsupervised, being disruptive and obnoxious, using loud foul language and breaking rules left and right like climbing up the slides and crawling over gates etc. On other occasions, I’ve seen the same immature boys climbing up and jumping off the lifeguard chairs.

Nobody ever watching. This is not a family friendly environment or a safe environment to be around. This is a real problem.

So incredibly disappointed in how the pool is run.

Right now you can book a week out for an hour. Their lap pool is set at 80 while their indoor leisure pool is at 88. Their hot tub is huge and had two waterfalls. Their are multiple saunas and a great family locker room.

Had a blast here swimming with my family! Went with a group of 11 and there was plenty of space even with the pool packed. It was my daughters first experience in an actual big pool like this and made some great memories!

When I first came to lifetime time I was in awe. The place was big it was fabulous and I was welcomed with open arms. Everyone was so helpful. There was a person here who was going to take all my paperwork from having physical therapy and make a program for me after checking twice three weeks later I still had no word as to a program. So I thought I would strike out on my own. I finally found a treadmill and someone showed me how to work it. Try to find a machine where you can lay on your back and push up with your legs finally found one that I could use but somebody had roosted there and was staying there. The next day I came to use the pool. Finally got instructions from someone how to get in. Most pools have a stair system of some kind but this has archaic rectangular holes in the wall that you have to walk up and down to get in and out.. I had a cortisone shot in my knee and cortisone shot in my shoulder and two months of expensive therapy. In an attempt to get out of that pool which took two women to push me I finally got out and in the process undid all those two months of physical therapy.

I’d like to make an update to Lifetime. They have made an abundance of changes in staffing for cleaning. Kudos! Also, Cade who is at the front desk is the most outstanding employee. Always helpful and hard working, he goes out of his way to make members feel welcome. Kyle Is new and making such great improvements so many thanks to Lifetime, the facility is so beautiful stick to keeping it that way.

Charges you an extra month when you cancel. Also doesn't let you cancel on the app or by phone... But let's you sign up on the app... Feels like cheap ways to make a little bit more money, and not customer focused.

Predatory business practices, only take cancelations in-person, you will find out they have a 30 day notice of cancelation meaning they are going to take another $70+ premium from you to not be there. There is truly no other reason for this policy other than to pry money from clients on there way out the door. Disgusting

Hadn't been there in a while. Raising rates and equipment wasn't clean and multiple machines were not operating correctly. 2 rowing machines were not working and ab machine spring wasn't working. Was expecting a better experience especially if rates are rising.

We just got a membership and have gone for two days. The only problem is that one big reason we started coming was for the rock climbing and you can only rock climb 4 days a week and only from 5-9pm. This was a huge deal breaker and we can't do anything to start at an earlier time. Other than that its a good gym.

Been out of town for a month and I tried to call in to cancel my membership because I was offered a job elsewhere. They said they don’t do cancellations on the phone but I can write a letter with all of my details on it. What kind of business in in 2021 doesn’t let you cancel online? Then when I finally got back to Omaha I went to cancel and they told me I have to give a thirty day notice. So I’m actually canceling in 30 days and oh btw since it was the thirty first I get billed tomorrow. What a joke. Legal robbery. Do not come here

I’ve literally never really set foot in an actual gym. I have severe anxiety in these types of settings, yet my friends one of which is a Trainer here convinced me to try it out. I’m still new and learning to feel comfortable but could not recommend this place enough. Especially if you’re in the market for a trainer…Lois is exceptional and will never make you feel like an amateur even if you know you are! 😉 thanks Lois for being you and pushing me!
