Great climbing gym with everything you need at one place! MoonBoard, fitness gym, indoor bouldering, outdoor sport climbing, boutique, two saunas (dry and steam), clean showers and even a spot to do your laundry while climbing (very useful if you are traveling on the road!! iykyk)
Staff is very friendly and the gym offers a more « old schoolΒ Β» type of climbing and they also have a section only for kids. They are located directly on the 2nd floor of the hotel, and they are pet friendly. π₯°
Iβm not sure if there was a specific parking lot for this hotel, but since we have a really high vehicle, we used the hourly parking in the streets (there was plenty all around the hotel). Since the entry fee is less expensive than other gyms, we didnβt mind paying for parking.

Did the big climb to the top, absolutely exhilarating and the staff were reassuring, fast and friendly. Sure, it's pricey (60$) but if you're in Reno and more keen on climbing than gambling it's a great alternative. You can climb in the gym afterwards, I didn't have time, but it looked small but well maintained. Only wish is that they gave out some sorta souvenir or certificate for making it to the top.

Fun environment, parking is tough especially in a larger vehicle. Having never been before it was a little tricky to find but once we arrived we had a blast. Staff was awesome, equipment was fun.

It was my first time trying bouldering and I had the best experience!! Very professional and knowledgeable stuff. I got all the questions answered and also I got a lot of extra helpful information about bouldering!
If you want to learn more about it and have the best coaching ask for Eli! This place 10/10 highly recommend!!

This place is awesome. The vibes are immaculate: great setting, killer music, a dang ol slackline for goofin off on, and they sell dirtbag hackey sacks at the counter.
Seems less corporate than Mesa Rim and more relaxed. Iβm psyched to go back

With several rock climbing gym options in Reno, this place is my favorite because of the culture and vibe they create.
The indoor bouldering section is where they get the majority of their traffic. There is an outdoor climbing wall that attracts tourists and very serious climbers, but my favorite part is the bouldering gym indoors.
The lighting is ambient and cozy, the gym is small, and indie music plays in the background.
Dogs are allowed and all the staff and gym-goers are approachable and friendly. This is a great place to become a regular at.
There is a small gym section with 3 treadmills, a weights rack, bicycles, a pulley, several isometric machines, weights and more. Itβs a small scale gym with everything you need. There are two saunas, dry and steam, to relax in before or after you climb.
Lastly, the gym partners with the cafe downstairs to offer special burger and beer deals during the week. Itβs good food!
Weather you are a tourist, or a Reno local, this gym is a great place to try something new.

Incredibly fun bouldering. The super tall outdoor wall is impressive - and terrifyingly high. It was closed for the winter, so fortunately didn't have to check my bravery. Staff member Gwen was incredibly kind and helpful. Me and my two boys (10 and 12) are decently experienced boulders but this was our first time here - we are visiting family for the holidays. She offered just the right amount of insight and let us get on our way climbing. Will definitely return and slay some of those V-6 and V-7's that were giving us so many problems!

Excellent climbing gym. Lots of routes for beginners to experts. Mostly bouldering. Allows dogs within the gym. Great sauna and steam room for after the climb. The hotel has a $12.99 burger and beer deal on Tuesdays. Has great deals for students, only $30/month.

Friendly climbing gym with everything your local climber needs. Grades are a bit generous, but nothing unusual. Definitely more of a bouldering spot if you frequent. Rope climbing is a good experience but not much of a training tool. Would recommend.

Gym looks sick.
Called to reserve 2 crash pads. Left my name and number and date and time of pickup. Sure enough, when I arrived and they had given the pads to someone else. They lady who made (and broke) the reservation made some excuses, but the point is they had my full name and number and only had one pad left for me. Basically killed my one and only day to climb tsunami. So bummed.

Eunisse and Dania provided the best lead climbing clinic! I felt very safe learning from them. They were both very knowledgeable and spent the time with each of us in the clinic to make sure we were prepared to try lead climbing. They started with the basics, which is always a good refresher if youβve been climbing for a long time, but is also very important if youβre a beginner. I highly recommend BaseCamp!

Great staff stuck with bad policies and upkeep.
My main issue is that they have a one towel policy. If you use the sauna and want to shower after, you have two choices. One, no towel in the sauna which means more sweat dripping everywhere which is less hygienic. Two, use the towel in the sauna as I would prefer and then attempt to dry myself from my shower with sections of towel that aren't already drenched in sweat. If you offer a sauna, shower, and towels, you need to allow two towels. Also, the steam room and shower have been out of commission multiple times. I would give a lower review, but I don't want to damage the staff who have been great. A+ staff!

The membership is very affordable and the climbing is great. It is a super chill environment and the people there are great. It is a very dog friendly environment - there are typically 2 - 3 dogs who are all super friendly and great to pet after a hard climb. The climbs are really interesting and change all the time - you can always expect a unique experience. It smells a little like a hotel but nothing bad at all.

Looking forward to returning to attempt the "Big Wall", as time/weather did not allow for it when I visited 2 days in a row. Loved how many amenities and features there are, such as a gym and shower. Great bouldering gym! I visited from salt lake for the day (in town for a concert). I only used their indoor bouldering walls. The space was a bit small but had a lot of climbs up. I also forgot any of my climbing gear so I had rental shoes on. The footholds were slippery but the climbs themselves were really fun. I recommend bringing your own shoes just so you have better footing. The service was nice and the front desk person was sweet and helpful. Overall a great a environment and experience!:)

Staff are friendly, the walls and mat are clean, there's filtered water on site, a gym attached to the climbing gym, it's easy to get to by parking in the ElDorado garage, the tall walls outside are auto-belayed and sometimes closed for weather. The tallest walls cost extra and are on belay. The indoor walls change every month or so, or roughly one area a week.

It's a bouldering gym and that is cool if that's what you're really into. I'm personally not a fan of the walls here because they're made of wood and they're super slick. I rely a lot on sticking my feet directly on the wall, as well as on the holds, and I felt like the wall was not usable for me.
This gym is also not that big so if you can't climb higher grades then you run out of options super fast.
And I don't know if there is a regular parking lot, but I had to park on the street and it's all metered, which is fine but you have to remember your change. (Although they might take cards too?)
With that being said, it's still a nice environment. There's a slack line, a mini weight room, and a few top ropes and sport climbs (outside). It can be fun for a visit but I wouldn't make it my regular gym.
It's not my personal cup of tea

I conquered The Big Wall on 1/23/2022 and had a great time! A big shoutout to Louis, he was super cool and really accommodating (he even stayed beyond his shift time to belay me!)! He was also great at giving pointers on how to scale the wall and was incredibly encouraging. I highly recommend facing your fears and climbing up the adrenaline pumping 164ft wall, you wonβt regret it! Thanks for making it a great experience, Johnny (front desk) and Louis!

Best bouldering gym in Reno. A new wall goes up every week, giving you a constant supply of new projects to work on.
A pretty laid back vibe of this gym has been my favorite in the past, but it seems to be getting busier and busier in the evenings. Which is good for the gym, for sure, especially with two other competing climbing gyms in the area (Mesa Rim, North Peak)
I am loving the "Kaya" App integration to track my climbs. Thanks for implementing this, Basecamp!
This is a weird review, but I love the cushion mats here better than at Mesa; they are softer, offering a mushier landing from the top of a boulder problem. I'm still terrified to jump from the top at Mesa!

Most Unique climbing gym in Reno at an affordable price. This gym takes pride in its giant outdoor climbing wall and its constant boulder sets. Definitely get your moneys worth when the entire climbing here. My favorite part is that if you climb here often, all of the bouldering walls would be completely set with new routes to climb by next month. If you're looking to get a climbing membership but don't know where to go, This gym has the best value in terms of money per climb.

It's great. Dog friendly, bike friendly, good service, a good variety of Boulder problems. I'm not a fan of the self belay and no other toprope options, so if you want to focus on climbing routes, it might not be the best. But if you want a cool place to boulder, it's pretty neat. This place is amazing. I remember when I first saw it being constructed it made me excited because I felt downtown NEEDED a place like this to bring a community together with the burning passion of climbing. When it opened, I immediately did a few visits and ended up doing a yearly pass.
It was great, I became a regular and it was so much fun.
I decided to take break from climbing for about a year. I figured that I would get back into it when I had more time to visit.
After that hiatus I come back and wanted to sign up for another yearly pass. I was dumbfounded how high the price the yearly pass jumped. I told them I was a "Founder." Founder title was given to those who helped this facility grow it first opened. Then they told me that I no longer get that discount because I didn't buy their year pass on a yearly basis.
WHAT? Excuse me? I didn't know you can just revoke the support of someone who helped get this store on its feet let alone pay a yearly fee for it. So in other words, they're saying that "I remember you, you helped this location get started! I'll give you a little incentive because of all your support. Haha I'm just kidding, I'll take it away now and pretend it never happened."
This place is nice and all but I'm sorry, if you're going to treat people this way, you don't deserve their money.
