Golf course Golf club Golf driving range Golf instructor Public golf courseAbout the Club
Home to affordable and friendly golf since 1965. Open year-round, the course is consistently voted 'Carson Valley's Favorite Golf Course' by the locals. The shade of the cottonwood trees and the cool rush of the Carson River give this course a unique character unlike anywhere else in the area! The course is beginner and family friendly but there is plenty of 'golf course' for the more serious golfer too.

Will not be playing this golf course again. The Marshall was nice, but was being pushed around by the βpresidentβ of the menβs club. It took us between 5-6 hours to play a round and was constantly being held up by the president and his group. On every hole, my group and the two groups behind us were waiting on the same tee box for them to finish. When asked if we could play through, we were told the βPresidentβ would not allow it and would complain if we tried. When we tried talking to the Marshall about it, he told us they are now playing slower on purpose because he had told them to move faster. You would think a president would have more etiquette than this and the Marshall told us he does this all the time. The golf course itself was a cool one, but if the menβs club is there as often as I was told, it will not be an enjoyable experience.

We were visiting the area without our golf clubs and the Carson Valley Golf Course was able to get us on the course with some good quality rented clubs for a very reasonable cost. The course was in good shape and the staff was very accommodating to help us make the most of the outing. Thanks!

Just went to hit some balls on the range(which was great) but ended up playing nine holes yesterday afternoon. Course was in great condition and was pretty challenging. (I haven't played in a few years, and usually shot in the low 90s to around 100). So it was a great way to get back in the game. Will definitely be back, because it's only a five minute drive from my house π

Horrible Experience, tee time 7:16am, started on back nine. The greens on the back nine were unputtable, saturated sloppy messes the entire 9. Played hole 18, same thing horrible wet greens, get to hole 1 and the greens are firm and rolling ok, I donβt understand why, we started on the back nine. Course management must not care. Feel like only 9 holes we were playing golf, very unfortunate.

We golf today which was nice even know the weather was a bit dicey. The one thing is they should not charge you full price for 18 holes four of the holes 6-9 you canβt even play.

Such a beautiful course, super friendly staff. Trash cans at every T box which are very well tended to.
After this last winter the greens took a pretty hard hit, but they'll get em fixed and beautiful in no time

Great community golf course.
Embraces casual golfing with all the luxury of a beautiful course and good pace play. There was no marshal since itβs a community course but everyone with a slower pace allows you to play though.
Some skinny fairways, beautiful scenery, a homey pro-shop, great staff.
Only cons, an iron-only driving range and no coolers (not a big deal since they sell drinks at the bar and will give you a bag of ice with the drinks).

Beautiful grounds. Teed off right on time, no waiting. Maybe the pro could mention golfers ediquit to slower players and let people go by that wind up waiting an unreasonable amount of time for them to play. There were three playing before us and we waited at least 20 minutes a hole. We could have played through and been done an hour or so sooner. The people working at the establishment were top notch. Spotted us some delicious hot dogs. Thank you to the cook.

Beautiful, amazing golf course of all Northwestern Nevada, colorful greens, but I will say the groundskeeper might've had a bring kid to work day, kinda thing were it got him distracted, living the sprinklers on that got me wet on hole 7, other than that the whole experience was awesome I have been dying to play this course since I was 8. I loved every minute of it
I'll play here again.

Fun course with great views of the mountains. We had a big group for a bachelor party and the pro staff was awesome - they set up some contests on a few holes and threw in a few prizes. Everyone had a great time and you can't beat the Friday deal that includes lunch.

Great course well maintained. Fairways in excellent condition. I'm from east coast and for a public course this is one of the best. The price can't be beat. The views are spectacular.

My wife and I played this course and had a good time. Mostly flat but very scenic. Runs along the river and the course was in good shape. Greens well taken care of and the pro shop was helpful about the layout.

It's my local weekly golf course. It has beautiful mature trees throughout each hole with a constant sierra nevada mountains range back drop. The fairways are straight with rivers running near so hit straight, lol. There is a 7 eleven after the 9th hole if your dehydrated by then. After 18th hole there is I believe the one of the best Basque restaurant in nevada ( the other is the JT). They have a great bar by putting green to reflect and amazing food. Thank you for reading this and enjoying this special place with us!

Great golf course. It's Nevada, so a bit crunchy at times, but the views are outstanding. Snow-capped mountains and rushing streams are some of the views to experience. First hole may require some timing - there's a road to the right, so watch your swing!

About 15 years ago I got my first ever, hole-in-one here at the Carson Valley Golf Course. It was on the 18th hole.
I was playing with family, perfect witnesses as they would be the biggest non-believers, and after we finished we went into the pro-shop. We told the staff and they treated us like we were lying. Just nothing, and no help from the guy there in the pro shop.
I play in a golf league in Vegas now and got my second hole-in-one just a few weeks ago, 26 Aug 2019 (179 yds). They were awesome. They have a plaque on the wall of all who have accomplished this and have added my name to it. All the staff call me ace whenever I come to play.
This is a once in a lifetime thing for most golfers, and it's just the right thing to do to make at least a little fuss over it. Do something, anything, just don't make the golfers feel slighted.
- I'll close with a joke:
Q. Why did the golfer need two pairs of pants when he played golf?
A. He got a hole in one.

Carson Valley FootGolf is amazing! It's 18 holes right on the golf course. It's $18 a person walking. I wouldn't reccomend a cart it is more fun to walk the course. Tee times start after 2pm and you can have 1-4 players. We went at 2pm and had the course to ourselves. The course is in really good shape too. β³β½οΈ

My family has played golf from Mexico to Montana, So Cal to Hawaii, Florida and have had a social membership for Genoa, but we love CVGC for convenient goodtime family golf. Love the Carson River, views of the Sierra, and mature trees with nice fairways and greens to play not to mention the affordable fees.

This is a very nice golf course. Being in Nevada, it's very likely to be windy, but they quality of course is just great. The beverage cart could come around a little bit more frequently though. Their cafe/lunch area makes some great food as well.
