I have been coming to Empower Fitness for years. They have good equipment, and I like the layout of the gym: I pace around the gym in-between sets. I often see the same group of gym members when I come in: everyone is friendly. The staff is courteous and helped fix a minor issue with my account. The 24-hour access is important to me as I worked long non-standard hours before I retired. I like having the ability to prepay for the year instead of monthly credit card charges. The owner takes time to talk with members. I recommend this gym.

The equipment is very clean, there's a gentleman I forget his name but you helped me in my co-workers he's very friendly. They have a lot of machines, they have a powerlifting room, free weights, a turf area with sleds, a dry sauna, showers. I only bought one week of membership but if I'm staying around the area for my work I'll definitely extend my membership.

A gym with an old school feel. The only 24-hour gym in Elko. The gym is light on services but has some strong man training equipment, machines, and free weights. They have treadmills, and they do group classes here, but mainly in the afternoon. For my money, it's the only gym I'd consider.

All these people on here making this gym seem better then it is, management sucks, the equipment is never clean, bathrooms never clean, and again management is awful, go in 3 times to cancel membership and theyre not there, how are managering a dirty gross gym from home, these 5 star reviews are from people who are close with the owner, not from average joes, this buisness is awful, hands down worst in elko. that’s saying something

I travel to and from elko and split my time across the country, which can make finding gyms in both places that are both useful and comfortable quite a challenge. I have been out of the gym scene for quite some time, and I’ll admit I was a little intimidated at first by the awards and definitely focused environment at empower, but I soon found my concerns were for nothing. The front desk staff are so kind and helpful, as I’ve found most other members are too. I’m still working on finding my footing with working out again, but I’m really satisfied with my choice at empower. Side note: the cleanliness is supreme. Definitely a huge factor for me. Side side note: the front desk lady with the red hair deserves a shout out. She’s always kind and helpful with my questions regarding membership and the workout products sold at the front.

I could make an argument that this is the best gym in America. The Veterans discount alone made me feel at home. The people, the equipment, the accessibility, the locker rooms, everything is top tier. However, the fact that all of the women are married hurts but pain is weakness leaving the body.

I think this is a good gym with good equipment and good people. My only issue is I’ve been charged for the past 2 years while not being a member. PLEASE check your account if you decide to cancel your membership. They aren’t willing to refund your $ and this has happened to more people than just myself. Watson family God Bless.

The “staffed hours” are supposedly until 2 pm on Sundays. This is the SECOND Sunday in a row I’ve got here at 1:15 PM & the door is locked because the staff leaves EARLY!! Considering canceling my membership & going to a gym that respects their “staffed hours”

EDIT: In that case why are the “Staffed Hours” posted on the front door for Sunday if it’s no longer provided? Bad management ruins gyms

Their cleanliness & equipment is on point, and while those are amazing attributes, it's their staff, and the atmosphere that is created by them and the owners that beats every gym in Elko. The wife and I came into town to visit her parents. We stopped by to get a workout in. Unfortunately, we got there after staffed hours. The owner was there and let us drop in. The facility is really nice with a massive selection of equipment. As a weightlifter, I was in heaven here. The owner is very welcoming. I was very impressed. If I lived in Elko, no question this would be my gym. I'll definitely be dropping in here for workouts when I'm in town!

This place is a great place to get your fitness goals started, and to continue your already accomplished goals. Leadership at this place listens to concerns and addresses them as quickly as they are able. New machines are continuing to be brought in. Clientele here are also very supportive. I have personally asked two people for Fitness advice, and they are more than welcoming with providing insights and assistance. Being part of the 24 hour option also helps if you are just too busy during the day, and don't have any free time till late at night.
also, I like my space, so, the later option is great because there's very few people present, and the place is big enough to have our own personal space bubbles.
The reason why I brought it down one star, is because some aspects of the gym need to be updated, but that, -In no way- takes away the fact that they have all the equipment needed to get a full and complete workout.

This is THE best gym in the area. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful. Starting a new routine can bring up fears and self doubt, that doesn’t happen here. The staff will walk through any questions you might have about any movement.

Absolutely love this facility, the staff, and the endless amount of care that goes into everything they do!! Going to a gym is intimidating sometimes for me. I don’t have the all the knowledge I need for the vast machines and workouts you can do in a gym. Jeff and the rest of the staff literally walk me through any question I have. Doesn’t matter how trivial I think the question might be, they make me feel welcomed, their directions are easy to follow and don’t make me feel like less of a person for asking questions!! Empower fitness Elko & Springcreek are awesome gyms ! The coaches and trainers at these gyms have such a high energy and know how to motivate the class’s in an inspirational way! The other gym members are so nice and all support each other with reaching their goals. The equipment is all maintained consistently. These gyms makes workout so fun by using great music and awesome group workout formats. The workouts are challenging but rewarding! Definitely the gyms to be going too.

Probably the worst gym I have ever been to they don't care about customer service they don't care about anything but money and even if you try to work something out you get shot down I never wanted a membership here but I offered to pay in full something that wasn't my fault and just get 2 months but they didn't know how his response proved my point personally I would not waste my time and I go to two different gyms with out any problem it's sad that he has to make up lies to make him feel better about himself it's just disappointing I'm out I will never go back even if they pay me also you have 10 reviews out of what 50 members 60 nothing to brag about but cool

Just want to say how impressed I've been over the last two years with the outstanding service your gym provides. From the day I joined, Eddie always greets with a smile and knows everybody's name - that guy has a great career ahead. Breanna is extremely sweet, sorry Eddie, she's sweeter. Natashia and Whitney are my favorite class instructors (I'm usually sore for two days after their body pump class, a good sore though), these two set the bar high - we're lucky to have them; all the instructors do a great job, including Wendy, Lori, and Michele. The beer & burger bash was a big hit last year and I look forward to this year's - the owner's and their daughter make you feel like you're part of the family.
