I really like the fact that this gym has so much to offer. Free personal trainers, pool, sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, etc.. I can keep going but seriously every time I go there I feel welcome and don’t feel judged by everyone. I recommend this gym over every gym I have been to. If you’re tired of the constant judgement and loaded machines you should definitely check this place out!

The showers and steam rooms have severe yellowing on the curtains and grout between tiles, including corners and ceilings. It looks and smells like the showers, sauna and inhilation rooms are never cleaned. The gym looks nicer, but 90% of people dont use the disinfectant spray available (with a wet rag that stays with the spray bottle)- There seems to be no cleanliness protocol here.
Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Haven't had any payment issues. I met with a personal trainer and had a good experience. Memberships are cheap right now and I'd say you get what you pay for.

I’ve had a membership here for almost 10 years. They are very flexible with what you want and how you want to pay for it. For example there was a period in my life where I quit going to the gym and I said I didn’t want it anymore and the owner said are you sure you want to do that? Then he said that we can freeze your membership and then when you want to come back we’ll just unfreeze it for you. Well I came back and I don’t always go but when I do I’m sure glad it’s there.

This place has been a staple for my mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health since moving to Reno NV. The sauna and steam room, also the cold plunge pool have helped me with stress, pain, insomnia, depression, skin problems, man I can’t stress enough how helpful and good the amenities are here. The price is insanely low for the benefits it gives and the staff are all very cool. Highly recommend and hope it helps you as much as it has me :)

It’s just so unhygienic. There is not enough cleaning supplies easily accessible on the floor so no one cleans their machines before or after using them. And the “spa” area is disgusting! The “inhalation room” reeks of mildew! The other steam rooms and pools are slimy sometimes and the main pool is always murky. This would be a great place if it wasn’t such a health hazard.

Felt pressured into a contract before I could even have a trial. I went maybe twice since however I sincerely refuse to go again, the equipment isn’t serviceable, it’s falling apart. The building smells like it’s rotting from the inside out. And they still expect me to pay the rest of the contract. 🤷🏽‍♀️ It’s not happening. I read some articles about its history and it adds up. If they used the money to renovate the building and invest in better equipment it would probably be worth selling. Also if you do sign a contract DO NOT put your friends or loved ones numbers on there, I've heard that they will be calling them over and over to get them to come in.

This place will literally not stop calling and texting me. They claim I’ve entered a drawing at Thai Lotus for a free membership and I won. I have no clue how they received my contact information but I’ve literally never been to Thai Lotus, and I have never had any interest in this gym due to its sketchy reputation. The front desk is always giving away a 2 week free pass so that he could refer someone to this gym. So my son chose to give it to his friend and the owner came up to his friend and tried to get him to sign up. When his friend told the owner he didn’t want to sign up and refused to the owner said that it was fine because he didn’t want “people like him” in the gym.

3 stars is alot for this place but im giving it for the super friendly staff and the sauna/ steam room. Extremely bad hygiene, the walls need to be hit with a pressure washer, and tons of soap, they are so filthy they should be fined. I actually called the health board and they were already aware of their poor state. this place is gross, they don't clean the pool correctly,I used to be in the pool business, I wouldn't touch it, but if you use flip flops the steam room and sauna are amazing, for that price you can't beat it. This place is and always probably will be a complete scamming nightmare. For instance if you tried to go in and use one of their flyers for a free day pass or if a friend brings you in there they will decline your entry and try to sell you a membership and will not even honor their own flyers or coupons. STAY AWAY! I thought I was getting a good deal through a program at work. Everyone was very nice as I signed up and they told me that my membership was X amount a month and I could freeze it if I needed to. They also pressured me into giving them my friends phone numbers when I signed up and they SPAM called them.
Then, when I had to freeze it, because of my personal situation they informed me I'd have to PAY $390 TO FREEZE my account.
I will take some responsibility for not combing the contract but when I go to a buisness I believe its only right to be told what's actually in your contract. The person signing me up just sat there while I filled it out and made fast small talk like he didn't want me to read too much.

It's so old in here. I don't workout here just go for the sauna and steam room. The bathrooms are disgusting. The shower drains don't work half the time. The men's shower is communal which is different...the floors are gross...honestly everything about this building is nasty and outdated.The pool...would never swim in. There were cockroaches!! Customer service is terrible, the girls at the front don't greet you just wearing headphones or on their phones, mostly with an attitude. Upstairs they have treadmills and it feels like you are going to break the floor. It's very sketchy. The free weight area is small. I pay $20 a month and it is too much for a place like this. This place NEEDS a major remodel, and a new staff. The owner needs to put way more love and money into this place. I would not recommend anyone to come here until it is remodeled.

I've been going here for awhile and it's a great place to do some " hangin' and bangin' " and the staff is very helpful. They have some upgraded equipment to use and the spa area is great with a pool and a accident/ injury clinic with a chiropractor. I recommend getting a membership so you can get all the benefits. And hey, when you're done with your workout go upstairs and get yourself an awesome protein shake.

For what it is, the European Fitness Center is... alright? Not the best equipment, not well maintained equipment either. What their biggest problem, however, is how they do their pricing. I just got back from trying to end my subscription to them today after facing a bit of a money problem. I paid them what I owed, $60, and asked to end my subscription; they told me it would be $120, to account for May and June, which haven't happened yet. I have no recollection of that being apart of any contract or payment plan that they told me of. Suffice to say, they're not getting their money for months I haven't done and will not do, and I'm not wasting my time on them any more.

Edit: I have paid off the last of the Contract I had signed, to my chagrin. Let this be a lesson to all those who are looking for a Gym, if one has a contract like this one, do not take it's offer. Period.

Serratia marcescens. It’s pink, it’s in the showers it’s on the floor, and the only way to remove it is to actually scrub it away! A spray from disinfectant or bleach and a wipe across with a mop is not enough and will not kill it. It causes endocarditis, meningitis, and eye duct infections like the one I got after going here. I love this gym due to the sheer amount of services they provide, do not get me wrong but they HAVE to start cleaning it better. I’ve called the health department about the amount of mold that is growing everywhere due to the infection I got. I hope they see this review and promptly take brushes to the floors and showers

I was only there for less an hour, the atmosphere seemed pleasant but the way they induct new members is pushy and misleading. Their schtick is to influence you into signing a legal binding contract with them and they won’t be forthcoming with the entirety of it. It was all overwhelming for me and the Owner made the process extremely uncomfortable so I signed without reading it fully, thinking it was just paperwork because I had only intended on using a free seven day pass and making my decision after. They wouldn’t have a vast majority of the upset customers if they would just be forthcoming about what people are getting into, especially the 3 day grace period that allowed me to cancel which I never was made aware of by the owner who cornered me. I also was never offered a copy of my contract. A couple months later, already been sent emails and voicemails being harassed every day, they’re threatening to send me to collections for misunderstanding the contract. They boast about having hundreds of thousands of dollars in new equipment with thousands of customers a day and yet they send people to collections for a couple hundred dollars and even less.
They’re also accusing me of paying $20 of the $30 for the initial fee which I never actually paid.

TLDR , seemed like a nice enough place, unless you’re absolutely certain about it don’t sign anything because they will withhold crucial information if you’re unsure and you’ll be sent to collections for signing into something you had no intention of doing because information was withheld. He left me under the premise that it was perfectly okay for me to make a decision later. With better business practices they would have more customers.

If you’re bringing a friend or using a “free trial” they provide be aware they will corner you and try to make you sign paperwork that locks you in a legally binding contract with them, they’ll deceive and persuade you to sign it, I told them I wanted to wait until my free trial was over until signing up and I was lead to believe it was okay, like any rational legitimate business practice would do. This is fraudulent misrepresentation. Even their president was sent to PRISON for similar practices.

The owner is outright slimy, told him I didn’t want a membership until I could decide after the free seven day pass and now they’re trying to charge me for a membership weeks later that I never opted in for. Seems like I’m not the only person this has happened too. They will threaten you with collections and harass you via phone call. Stay away from this cesspool.

I have a gym membership at European fitness and they were giving out free 7-day passes. My friend from Las Vegas was thinking about moving back to Reno. She asked me about my gym I gave her a 7-day pass when she arrived at the gym to check it out She was manipulated and coerced to sign a contract in order to use the free 7-day pass. Nunca usé la alberca porque no me animé, no se ve limpia o atractiva para que uno se meta
Solo una vez olí a que se habían limpiado los pisos
No hay vestidores y por lo tanto te toca ver gente desnuda sin previo aviso
Los inodoros no tienen tapadera, lo que vuelve cambiarse ahí toda una hazaña
No hay una buena ventilación, helado en invierno y un horno en verano
Algunas caminadoras son nuevas, pero me tocó ver el equipo antiguo el cual estaba en pésimas condiciones
Solo dos de las 4 escaladoras están en buen estado
Las demás máquinas de cardio siguen siendo del batch viejito (no se pueden usar para correr solo para trotar

Personalmente siento que las personas administrando este lugar se comportan como si ofrecieran un servicio premium cuando no es así y si no hubiera sido tratada de manera grosera no compartiría mi opinión

I referred a friend here and she decided not to join because of the bad reviews. So I had to take a look at them.

Most of the bad reviews are completely ridiculous.

My experience here is great. I'm down 45 lbs in the last month and a half. All the staff is amazing. I've had some great conversations with people and the fact that this place has a Steam Room, Sauna and Cold Plunge all at the same place is so awesome.

It seems that the people posting the Bad Reviews are a bunch of Karens who have nothing better than to moan and complain.

Bathrooms doors are broken or toilets won't flush, people swin in their boxers, and equipment doesn't work. Was not happy at all.
Also part of the staff is rude cause they all family so they don't care how they talk to you.

They kept charging me after my membership ended. I made sure that when I signed up it was only for 6 months. Fast forward and now they charged me after the end date for another $30 but "there's no way to refund" the money they took after the contract ended. Avoid this gym at all costs

I came in as a guest with my friend. The gym told my friend that he can bring in a guest for free. Upon arriving, they offered a guided tour, which I declined. The owner then blatantly told my friend to go somewhere else while his daughter gives me a tour. I had to walk the entire place abd listen to her sales pitches and then a random salesman comes out of nowhere, corners me and tries hard-selling me on getting a membership. Then, when I got defensive, he said they would usually charge a $20 guest fee and implied it was my fault I was in this position. What a shady and slightly sad operation. This is a European Fitness Center in Reno, Nevada. Don’t go in expecting anything other than exactly what that sounds like.

The worst experience I ever had in my gym life happened to me at this place 🙃 if you are color person do not go to this place. I got discriminated. Because some one put too many toilet paper at the public restrooms and some one told them it was me did that ,with out any proof of evidence they revoked my membership and the lady at the office by the name lane had to call me and yelled at me and hang up the phone on me. They treated me as I did crime with no evidences. So pls do not go there if you are black .very sad 😢

It is the worst gym of all reindeer, the attention is lousy The daughter and the owner are extremely rude, despots, they treat you as if you were their employee; as if they were giving you things: I had been in this gym for two years because the proximity to the place where I live and my work but today the daughter in a very rude way treated me very badly that I had to take a photo almost forced and I informed her that I did not give my authorization so she said in a threatening way that she had to let me take it and I called her dad and the bass and mocking of me, she agreed with her and I cancelled my subscription; I do not recommend it is the worst, of all the cali adoras that there are only two work the machines are old and damaged, and apart from that when you enter they put you to sign a contract for a year and if you do not comply they take you to the court and that they do not tell you.

These people really corner you into a membership after the gym tour unless you're really really adamant about not joining. I called the front desk today to cancel and the guy tried going on a schpeel about the gym perks and affordability of the membership. But the part that bothered me the most was him trying to tell me that I probably have to visit in person in order to cancel. I asked for the office number for the person that handles the membership cancellation and she cancelled it instantly. I knew him asking me to come in person was their chance to ask me "are you sure??" a million times and hoping I'd give into the pressure again.

I came in and did a tour about a year ago. Loved everything they offered, decided to give it a try and it's been great. I was able to come in after work, and my daughter got to hang out in the kids club, she loved it. My payment dropped like they said it would, so I can freeze it whenever I want and come back to the same payment. I love it.

Absolutel liars I was signed up for two memberships under assumption that I was then when I called in asking about the second charge was told I signed up for two memberships and said no I signed up for 1 and wanted my wife to be a guest the manager then proceeded to call me a liar and that I was trying ti get out of my contract they use dirty misleading tactics ti get you to sign up they have no honesty or integrity in their business practices

I have been wanting to go to a gym for a long time and it’s a very uncomfortable place when starting out. This place was very rude when I came in with some friends they didn’t explain that I couldn’t be a plus one. I was blown up with phone calls about a free 30 day member ship that I began to ignore due to how forceful they were with the calls. Once in the gym they said they would give a free two week pass for me to decide if I wanted the member ship. I decided to not take action for the membership for the atmosphere here was just off. The phone calls became forceful again and I told them I’m struggling with bills and didn’t think I’d be able to take up the gym at this time they then said they’d send the paperwork to a collection agency to collect a waived sign up fee of 150 dollars after I said I didn’t have 30 dollars. I read the paperwork and no where did I read that if I couldn’t pay the 30 that they’d come after me AT WORK for the full sign on fee when I didn’t even commit to signing on. This place makes you feel bad about trying to be healthy and struggling to do so I wouldn’t recommend this place to any one ever. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable at a gym.

The culture is bad. Equipment is tired and dirty. A lot of "supersetters" who do 2 reps on 6 different racks/machines for 2 hours and wonder why they never see progress. They then take their anger out on anyone who takes longer than a 30 second break between sets because you're using up one of their 6 machines... Management just says to tattle on them which just makes these guys angrier. This isn't even mentioning the sketchy business practices (read some of the reviews). If you want to come here for any real hypertrophy, you'll be made fun of and harassed because you're not running around with a head full of steam using every machine/rack within arms reach doing 2 reps at your max every 10 seconds with 0 rest. This gym simply isn't big enough for more than 1 of these "supersetters". Management doesn't care because the only thing they see is $$, not providing a comforting and encouraging culture. Crazy to see gyms still stuck in the 90's.

I have a vision impairment,and the owner takes it upon himself to be rude to me regardless of my handicap, the staff is awesome the place is great, but the owner needs to be sued for his ignorance and the way he treats people, especially the handicap, I'm a up to date and never late with my payment member, you should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!!!!

Don't ever expect the jacuzzi to be warm or even hot somedays. Be very careful not to get into a contract with this dude he's not a nice guy and every thing changes after you join, ask any life long members, or short time members for that matter. Good luck and expect more somewhere else

I just signed up at this Gym and it was fast, easy and so helpful. It is THE only affordable gym that has all the works! Pool, Spa, as well as a host of various things! The guy who joined me up was amazing and easy to work with!

I called today explaining my work schedule changed, I can’t work out during there hours of operation. they refused to let me out of my contact when they said I could cancel it at anytime!!! Huge scam huge waste of 25$ a month. I was paying 20$ a month how did it go to 25!!! Don’t waste your time with that place.

I went in with my girlfriend for a tour, the place seemed nice enough and we discussed potential memberships with the owner, Simon.
We went through some paperwork but didn't commit to anything because it seemed a little sketchy. We left feeling optimistic but decided that we couldn't work the gym into our schedules. Since then I've had a multiple phone calls, which is fine. But I informed them of my decision to rescind today and they told me they were taking legal action on their end to get my money. We were supposed to have a free 30 day membership and he's trying to strong arm me for a year. Now I just feel uncomfortable even going. He boasted of the $150,000 renovations but is threatening legal action for my 20 bucks a month. Just don't go here.

I like this gym lots of workout equipment and a pool/spa area it’s not too crowded I pace myself and I don’t feel judgment. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was due to confusion on the contract when signing up, however my questions where answered and things where cleared up and I continue to work out here. Thanks to the staff for there patients.
