Our family recently moved to Nevada, and my daughter—after 10 years of tumbling and 7 years of competitive cheer—was eager to continue her D1 cheer journey. Leaving her longtime friends and home was hard, and we hoped that joining Las Vegas Allstars would provide her with a sense of belonging and an opportunity to continue growing in the sport she loves.

Unfortunately, our experience has been deeply disappointing. Despite her strong background and skill level, my daughter was initially placed on a Level 2 team, far below her abilities. We were patient and optimistic, hoping it would be adjusted the following season—but she was again misplaced, this time on a Level 4 D2 team. My daughter was eager to learn and progress, but it often felt as though management wasn’t listening to her or supporting her growth.

I made several attempts to contact Courtney, the owner, to discuss my concerns, but my messages went unanswered. Meanwhile, my daughter began to experience mistreatment from a young assistant coach, reportedly only 20 years old, who lacked the maturity and experience to appropriately handle the athletes. The behavior toward my daughter was unprofessional and, at times, emotionally abusive. She would come home crying and frustrated after practices.

When my daughter finally gathered the courage to speak directly with Courtney about how she was being treated, she was met with hostility. Courtney yelled at her—a vulnerable 15-year-old—for simply trying to express her concerns. This was my daughter’s very first direct conversation with the owner, and she left that encounter feeling humiliated and defeated.

As a parent, this was heartbreaking to witness. What was supposed to be a positive, encouraging environment for young athletes turned into an experience that negatively affected my daughter’s confidence and love for cheer.

I’m sharing this review not out of malice, but out of genuine concern for other families considering this gym. Cheerleading should build character, teamwork, and confidence—not fear or frustration. I hope Las Vegas Allstars takes accountability, improves communication, and ensures their coaches and management treat every athlete with respect and professionalism. Please keep in mind, that the management will take it upon themselves to hold meetings with our children without bringing this to the parent's attention. My daughter was pulled into a meeting by 4 adults badgering her and causing her discomfort and stress. When my daughter asked to not continue the meeting because she was feeling overwhelmed, they showed no remorse or compassion for my daughter. My daughter was looking for an apology for the way she was spoken to by Courtney the owner as well as the 20 year old Assistant Coach. I do not recommend this establishment. It is an abusive environment in my opinion.

This is our 4th season here at LVA and we’re so excited to be here. The coaching and management staff are amazing and are here to help. Our two athletes have learned so much being here and are always excited to come to practice. We definitely recommend this place.

We have been part of Las Vegas Allstars for over 10 years, and all three of our children have had the opportunity to cheer here. The program is extremely professional and provides a safe, supportive environment for athletes. Beyond the skills they’ve gained in cheer, our kids have built lasting friendships with teammates and coaches that feel more like family. The owners truly care about every athlete, and we consider them part of our family as well. This gym has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and our children have grown not just as athletes, but as individuals, thanks to the positive relationships and life lessons they’ve experienced here. We couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!

Before my daughter joined LVA for Allstar competitive cheer, I was hesitant at first because of the stereotypes I’d heard about cheerleading—not being a “real sport,” drama between teammates, and constant competition for the spotlight.

Now that she’s in her 3rd year with LVA, all those doubts are gone. What I’ve seen instead is my daughter growing into a strong athlete, a natural leader, and an amazing teammate with a positive mindset. The coaches are incredibly supportive, positive, and focused on building athletes both physically and mentally. Despite being a highly competitive gym with multiple Summit championships, LVA has a welcoming and uplifting environment that makes the kids love the sport.

Cheerleading is tough—much tougher than most people realize. In other sports, like volleyball or soccer, a team can still win even if someone has an off day. But in cheer, every single athlete has to be at their absolute best for those 2–3 minutes on stage. “Hit zero” doesn’t guarantee first place, but the intensity, discipline, and teamwork it takes leaves me in awe every time I watch my daughter’s team compete.

For me as a dad, cheer has also been a priceless way to enjoy father-daughter time before she grows up. Yes, it’s an expensive sport, especially on a travel team, but honestly, that’s true of any high-level competitive sport. The experience and memories are worth every bit.

Big shout-out to all the coaches at LVA—especially Coach Courtney, the owner—for creating such an amazing program and culture. I have complete faith in this gym, and most importantly, my daughter loves it here. As long as she’s in cheer, I’m all in too. 💙

This is my daughter’s fourth season with LVA and we have had a great experience. They truly challenge her and encourage her to be the best athlete she can be. The gym is a like a second home for her and she quickly felt loved and accepted by everyone there. She has become more social and confident thanks to this program and we are very happy to be a part of the LVA family.

This is where my daughter found her safe space, her second home, her best friends and friends who have become family. If you want to be in a gym where the coaches and staff actually take the time to get to know you and encourage you this is the place. She gets much love, hugs, encouragement and corrections because this is not just a place of business but a safe space. She gets love, corrections, therapy...lol. Everyone is welcome and yes it's not all unicorns and roses but it shouldn't be. We are very grateful for everyone who has been a part of this experience

My daughter is on her third year at LVA. she started in their fundamentals team and within a week was obsessed with the gym and the coaches. So we made the commitment for Tiny Novice. When I say my kid had the ugliest cartwheel ever, I’m not joking. But the coaches loved her regardless and worked with her through the season.

Next year, through privates with some of the best coaches (Coach Emily!) she got her back walkover! And she moved up to a Tiny 1 Elite team as a flyer. This little team of 5-7 year olds won Regional Summit Champions! The highest title they could earn at that level! All new to Elite and had the most amazing season.

This year - through hard work and dedication in her privates with more amazing coaches (Coach Lexi, Colleen, Kaylee, Emily and Lance - if you aren’t catching on yet the coaching staff love these kids and will dedicate the time to help them achieve their goals!) she not only improved her flying skills, she also got her level 2 tumbling. Which meant she was placed on her dream team, Cotton Candy a youth level 2 team. Along with two others, Blush a junior 1 that she was dying to be on last year and Magenta a Mini 1 team the staff made inspired by her desire to be an LVA “Diva” which is the theme for the team this year. Talk about paying attention to the kids goals and desires. As well as, helping them achieve them!

At 7 years old my daughter has the work ethic any adult would envy. She’s found her passion and literally never wants to leave the gym. I have to drag her out of there, because the coaches love her so much they always allow her to stay and practice or even play around with them outside of her scheduled times. LVA is literally her second home.

If you want to watch your child blossom, learn new skills and gain an extended family, check out this gym. Las Vegas all stars is the best D2 gym in Las Vegas. I can’t recommend them more!

My daughter has been at this gym for years and it’s become a 2nd home to her!! The owner and the coaches love these kids and help them grow into beautiful confident athletes. They teach them how great it feels to work hard for a win and also how it’s okay and to work harder after a loss. I have been lucky to grow up in this gym, i started as an athlete and now i am on staff and i love what i do. Instead of with one of her parents? Letting her see a show truly would’ve cost you nothing but you chose to be evil and throw that financial stress on a little girl who isn’t even old enough to work with…… I pray you find it in yourself to deal with what’s wrong with YOU thinking this type of “control” aka behavior is ok to project on underage girls. 
You are not a good person. You have 0 compassion and this boils down to once again, contacting her legal age parents instead of a 13 year old child.

Not only does this say something about you as a director/owner it says everything about you as a person.

My daughter has been with LVA for 4 years. She has pretty much grown up with them, they are more than just a cheer team/gym they are like family. I saw someone say they don’t take the time to learn each athlete, this couldn’t be further from the truth. It takes time to get to know what works for each athlete but they take the time to do that. The owner makes sure the athletes feel safe at the gym.

I can’t thank Coach Courtney (owner) and Coach Colleen for the effort they’ve put into my daughter. They’ve made sure she has a home at LVA. Her confidence and discipline when it comes to all star cheer has just blossomed.
