Golf course itself is beautiful and I loved playing here so the rating is for the course. However, BEWARE if you use your card in the bar. USE CASH. I was charged almost $6 on top of my bill on one transaction (total was $27.50 and was charged $33) and another $2 on another transaction at the bar. It seems the bartenders are adding tips for themselves. 😡 I tried to get in contact with the manager but the email I have wont go through so im hoping I can help anyone who notices why their total charged is way higher than what they told you it was. I purchased something from the pro shop and the total was exactly what I was told. It was just in the bar that what they charged was NOT what the total actually was. Hopefully the manager sees this and will address it.

The golf course itself is stunning—beautifully maintained and a great place to play if you’re an experienced golfer. However, my experience was marred by an unwelcoming atmosphere and unclear expectations for pace of play.

I booked a 7 AM tee time to celebrate my 76-year-old uncle’s birthday, joined by my cousin, who’s an experienced golfer, and myself, a beginner. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff at the counter were professional and courteous.

Our group of three reached the 9th hole in about 2.5 hours, which we thought was reasonable given our skill levels and my uncle’s age. Unfortunately, we were approached by a course marshal who informed us we were behind the expected 3-hour pace.

Additionally, other golfers made condescending remarks about our speed, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. There were no posted rules or guidelines about pace of play at booking or on the course, and a disclaimer for new or slower players would have been helpful.

The experience left me feeling embarrassed and discouraged as a beginner. The lecture on “unwritten golf etiquette” was particularly disheartening and made me question whether I’d want to play again. If this is the typical crowd at this course, it may not be the best fit for casual or less experienced golfers.

On a positive note, the staff member at the counter was exceptional. He handled our concerns professionally, offering a partial refund and waiving the fee for my uncle, which we greatly appreciated.

Recommendation: If you’re a beginner or playing with someone who moves more slowly, consider booking an afternoon tee time when the course may be less crowded and intense. Mornings seem to attract faster, more competitive players.

Clearer communication about pace expectations at booking would greatly improve the experience for newcomers.

Since 2000 to the present I have played this course four times. Last time I played 10/13 and 14th 2025. The course is I n excellent condition. The Staff and golf pros working the course were efficent,courteous and fun. If you are looking for a enjoyable time please try the Mojave Resort Golf Club.

I can’t wait to come back! This golf course was in great shape and the course provides a fun but challenging layout. The final three holes could all be signature holes at many other courses and make you feel like you are playing a PGA tour championship course. The staff could not have been more accommodating. We were all very impressed!

Is anyone else perplexed on collared shirts on the range? This is the only place that may or may not tell you about collared shirts on the range when your not playing a round, we just want to use the golf range but have to dress like I’m playing 18? I live here in this community and extremely confused as to what to do, what they say depends on who is working, one employee says no one says yes, not worth the frustration, disrespect and confusion don’t waste your money here there are tons of courses around that don’t have the disrespect and lack integrity, Laughlin ranch doesn’t have this lame rule and yes we know collared shirts when playing 18…it’s a joke to think you have to dress to impress to work on drills at a golf range. Thanks but no thanks I will play and use the facilities of a course that has the integrity to not convolute what may or may not be true. Whats even worse??? Look at the people on the range there, 50 percent are not wearing collared shirts not worth the stress or the disrespect from Mojave golf course thank god I didn’t pay all of that money to be a member it’s the biggest rip off in the tri state area

We had a 12:32 tee time & knew to expect a Little rain & some wind. After 7 holes a huge wind a hard rain came up. We went to the clubhouse & looke to see it would be 2to 3 hours before we could go back out. Asked for a 9 hole rain check & were told we knew the weather would be that bad & no refunds or rain checks. That storm was not in the public forecast!
Very poor customer service from the manager who was also rude. They lost a customer, & word of bad service travels fast!

Played yesterday with a league from the PHX area, a semi annual tournament we do at Laughlin. Course was in excellent condition, staff was friendly and efficient. All was ready when we arrived. A good outing and all enjoyed the experience.

Course is in pretty good shape, only played 14 holes because it was so slow 4 hours 14 minutes. They allow families with a young 4 year old so will not be back. We booked Avi hotel and golf course because of proximity . Will not be back!!! And I know children have to learn but not at the expense of paying customers.

Decent course but starter was an huge jerk. Ruined our round. We showed up with 6 players a half an hour early he rushed us to get out on course as soon as we got out of the car. We wanted to hit some balls get some food and he yelled at us to get going. We got to tee box and waited for 20 min. Took us 4 holes before we calmed down If you get the grumpy guy with a beard tell him to "F" off. We will never go back.

The staff is beyond accommodating! We used an online golf app, NOT affiliated with them to make a tee time and it never got to their records. Even though the course was very busy and we showed up unexpectedly, they got us right in. The course is beautiful! Highly recommend! Thanks again guys!

We just got back from another trip down to Laughlin Nevada, and we went and golfed over at the Mojave Course again it is one of my favorite courses down there, I always make sure I golf there at least three times. The course is in awesome shape, again, the stuff in the pro shop. Make you very welcome, Mike and his crew are great to deal with Bob is awesome very friendly easy to talk to easy gone, and of course the car girl Sherry she is just a joy to talk to if you’re down there go in and say hi and have some fun. Played on Mar. 23rd. Course was in ok shape. Decent layout and fairways were average and greens weren't bad, but the rough, or lack thereof was pretty bad. Very sparse grass in the rough with very large patches of sand ground. Where there was grass, seemed like tufts of crab grass. Nice range and practice area. Friendly proshop personnel and cart attendant/starter.

Played yesterday, 2/15/22 . Expensive, $180.00 for two of us. Started us on the back nine, and when we made the turn to number 1 tee, a very slow foursome was sent out in front of us and it took 2 hrs plus to play the front. Asked the starter what was going on and he replied "We should be happy he got us off" even though the tee time was made a month in advance. Greens and fairway were okay but grass bunkers were just dirt and the sand traps were mostly rocks. Surrounded by a trailer park. There are better courses than this in the area. We won't be back.

Average at best. Fairways sparse. Bunkers have grass growing in them. Course smells like reclaimed water. Really bad smell on hot days. Nice design but you can tell Covid has had a negative effect on conditions. Staff was friendly. They charged me $99.00 and it's probably a $40.00 course at most. No cart service, no water and temps around 95 degrees.

Golfing in January felt great! Winter rules applied. Fun day. Carts were nice. Rental clubs were a nice set of Ping and another set was a cheaper set. We seen road runners and a coyote while at the course. Jose was very helpful. He cleaned our clubs and loaded into trunk when leaving. Great service and fun course. Long drives. Glad I played Mojave.

Nothing boring about this course!!! Every hole is interesting. Raised greens are challenging but fun. Course was in great condition with the exception of some fairway bunkers and others GUR. Clubhouse is modest, has some food (COVID limited). Staff was helpful and friendly. I will absolutely play this again, hopefully on a not so windy day!! GOOGLE Maps has the location 2 miles short of the entrance. Just keep heading for the resort and you will see it.

Sad to say the shorter balding man in the pro shop simply should not be customer interfacing. I have been staying here in the resort, each experience with him is an angry face and an attitude to match. I used to be in the PGA, rarely in a lifetime of golf have I continuously walked in and felt like an inconvenience, and unwelcome. He is consistent, even other guests told me the same today. To top it off, after paying and getting my cart...the man running the carts and tee literally would not give me the golf cart key until it was tee time. Strangest thing ever as the other folks had their key. I couldn't take it with my clubs to the range, practice greens or to get drinks before the round.

The course looks very pretty. The fairways don't have a consistent base, inevitably you end up in a low spot with grass around you or no grass at all. The rough and bunkers are no better. The greens are great and the layout is great. It is an attractive fun course to play.

I would say if you don't care about feeling welcome and don't mind rougher conditions to the green, it would be a fun day. I won't be back though, there are better experiences to be had with my time elsewhere.

This is a beautiful course and worth every penny you pay. The staff are the best, they are kind, helpful and knowledgeable of the course and game. The best gift my wife could suprise me with. If you're coming here to only play golf its a good course. It's challenging and the greens were in good shape and not easily manageable. Tough pins on the day we played.
We traveled in from out of town and called ahead to ask about getting something to eat before playing. They said they had a grill. 7-11 would have been a better choice. Frozen, microwaved breakfast sandwiches, frozen burritos are not breakfast. And the woman serving acted as if we were bothering her. She was to preoccupied counting money and writing notes. I asked her if they'd have hot dogs at the turn to which she responded yes. Then responded as i walked away to another member of our group who was next in line and a local at the bar, 'these out of towners expect everything.' I guess she didn't realize we were together. I didn't realize just asking was expecting everything! She definitely needs an attitude adjustment.
So, moral of the story.....eat before you get there. Luckily she couldn't screw up the beer.

The staff(starter & cart person) was almost rude, being very short when asked a question regarding golf course.When we were assigned a cart, we asked if we could hit some balls on the range & the cart person said yes. we drove over to the driving range & started to hit balls when the cart guy almost started yelling not to bring the carts up to the tees! No instructions when we pulled out & not one sign saying 'no carts'. His reply," did you see any other carts?".

We had a great time at Mojave. The course was in great shape.
We had 13 guys and made tee times just a few weeks ahead of time. Everything was set and ready for us. We played two days (36 holes per day). We could just leave things there after the first day and our carts were ready to go again the next day.
All the staff there was great! They are very easy to work with and did everything to make us feel welcomed. We all had a great time and the staff there is excellent. We are going back again next year.
