I would give it a 5 start if the female's bathroom had a big (head to toe) mirror, like its a must! Also it would be very helpful if they had step ups, or something we it could be easily moved.

I’ve been traveling across the country, stopping at countless Planet Fitness along the way. This is by far the cleanest and most well stocked PF I’ve visited. I think in large part due to the staff. The guy working tonight was polishing the floors when I entered and was non stop cleaning, organizing, racking the entire time I was there.

I joined quite recently, I'm age 74 and typically only use machines, no free weights. After a couple of visits I've decided that a few of the machines that I use quite regularly just don't seem to suit me very well- the ergonomics feel a bit 'off', I can't seem to get things adjusted to suit - operationally they don't feel like the higher quality equipment I used at another gym. The facility itself is fine as it's brand new, clean and quite nice.

This was an awesome planet fitness location. They have 3 squat racks, no lunk alarm, and all brand new equipment. Very clean and organized, 10/10 would recommend getting a membership if you’re undecided!

The moment we've all been waiting for! Planet Fitness in Carson City is now OPEN! PF has not spared a penny in the design and ammenities offered at this facility. From hydromassagers to functional fitness training to half squat racks and more! It's a must see! 💪

I travel the US as a proud Black Card Member and Carson City Planet Fitness is the very best fitness center I have yet experienced in many areas that are important to me such as cleanliness, from the floor workout equipment to the locker room to the shower stalls. I realize this location is new so if the crew stays on top of the details then if there is an award for all out showmanship, they'll take the win. The engineering design of this location is truly spectacular, tvs everywhere, glass shower stall doors, clean locker cabinets, floors, decor. Keeping shower curtains free from scum build-up, clean shower wall ledges, toilet paper stocked, wash basins free of oversplash, toilet paper and pee from toilet stalls, are just some of the constant issues I've experienced at most all other PF facilities but not here. I hope the mgt has a comprehensive training process to pay attention to those areas daily and nightly on ever shift. Not sure when I'll return to Carson City but I have relatives living here. I love this town and I love this PF! The front counter associates even let me recharge my Jackery that I need to keep my car fridge going. Thank you both so very much for letting me quickly use a wall socket. Customer service is 5 stars, too. 8/31/2025.

I’m really looking forward to my first visit at this location. The PF at my home is awesome, not only the staff but also the equipment. As with anything new up and running, there will be small issues. Give them a break to get the operation greased. I’ll be in the area for 7 weeks working out everyday. Thanks PF, I’ve lost 50 pounds and feel great.

I normally go to anytime fitness but I bought the black card thinking I would cancel my anytime fitness because of supposed better perks with planet fitness. I go to use the gym for the first time today and there was no staff for HOURS. I waited and waited trying to use the spa amenities. If I wanted a normal gym I would have stuck with anytime fitness. I am strongly considering canceling my planet fitness membership because of how upsetting it was. My husband was in a motorcycle accident 6 weeks ago and was looking forward to the cryotherapy and massage chair. I really hope they become properly staffed soon because I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be upset.

I like the set up. Having all the new machines is great of course. The front office person was nice. I really hope they keep the place clean. I am used to going to the one in Reno and theirs is always clean. I went in and overall enjoyed the experience but they did have trash on the floor at multiple places(men’s locker room) and near some machines (paper towel). And one of the paper towel dispensers by thread mills was empty. If they work on this now then it should be good moving forward. Now it smells like a new place but I really hope they work on the cleaning because I went to the one in Northwest Reno once and that place was dirty and smelled. I hope that does not happen to this gym.

Alyssa was accommodating. The amenities are most likely the best in town, red light booth w vibration plates, tanning bed, hydro beds and more. They do have free weights. Which is a must!

The equipment is very heavy duty. More machines then one could ever use in one workout.

The bathrooms were HUGE! And clean. No nasty smells. Which is a problem with other gyms.

Asked about accidentally dropping a weight, they said it’s no problem, as long as it’s not a regular thing, which is something I was worried about due to the social media stigma.

The only thing I could say needs to be improved is staff knowledge on equipment, My headphones died, and I was overhearing one of the employees trying their best to explain what machine does what, they were showing one of the potential members a standing calf raise machine, and they were using it as a Pendulum Squat, other then that, it’s perfect.

I joined before the fitness center before they actually opened based on the fact that there would be personal trainers to assist people. I stopped in this morning and found out that there are NO personal trainers and doubtful if they will hire any. I am so disappointed, I am 70 years old and want to be stronger and improve my balance. I don't know what machines to use or how to use them. I was told that only a personal trainer could help me with that and that their Reno had a personal trainer. I live here in Carson City not Reno :-(

I was so excited for Planet Fitness to open in Carson City. I went in for an overnight workout, and my experience was not what I had hoped for. The woman at the front desk had a slight attitude when checking my and my guest in. She had come over to interrupt my workout to tell me I needed to put my bag in the locker room as bags are not allowed on the floor (I have never had this issue at any Planet Fitness or any other gym for that matter) I understand that it can be a safety hazard when the gym is packed, but when there are literally 3 people in the whole gym, and I'm not having my bag in the middle of the floor in anyone's way, I dont think it should be an issue, especially when I see so many posts with others who have their bags in a PF gym, as well as other people who came in after me with their bags, who were not asked to leave it in the locker room. I had to carry the things I needed from my bag around the whole gym, which in my opinion was a bigger safety hazard having loose items around. Than having a single bag. When I was leaving, I asked about canceling my membership already because this really put my off that I was singled out, and I was once again met with attitude.
This was not the experience I had hoped or expected, and im extremely disappointed. I was so excited to be going to a gym again that I could feel comfortable at, and I felt the exact opposite today.
Also, a large majority of the cardio machines were not turned on, which was extremely disappointing as my guest was there to use those specific ones.
If I decide to try coming back again before I cancel, I hope my experience is better, but I probably will look at my other gym options because this wasn't it.

I was so excited to see this gym open as this brings an exciting new option into the shopping area. The gym is very spacious, and the variety of machines is great. Most of the machines are the Matrix brand, and they are very smooth and easy to configure to your liking. There’s a small artificial turf area, and plenty of space in the corner of the gym for stretching, abs, and additional benches and weights. I love that they provided lots of cable stations and smith machines, especially since they’re versatile. Overall, it’s a great gym for everyone at any level in their journey.
