Extremely clean and organized, with limited crowds and friendly staff! Came on a Saturday from 11:30am-2pm, no more than thirty people there during that time.
Ample cardio and strength machines available. Everything was clean and perfectly maintained. Saw the front desk staff cleaning and doing the rounds.

Only smiths machines, no free bench/squat. That’s okay.. Plenty of EZ bars. Everyone working out seemed friendly. I’ll be back!

I began working out here about 3 months after severe knee injuries/surgeries to both knees. The staff was very welcoming and encouraging as I worked to regain leg function and general fitness. When I was finally able to come in without a walker, they celebrated along with me.
Sam and the entire staff do a great job maintaining cleanliness throughout the club. If anything needs attention they work to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
This gym has a good variety of equipment for whatever your goals may be. It is well maintained with a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this Planet Fitness!

After posting this review there have been a lot of changes. The first few years the club was open, the staff was very stable (rare in this business). People went on to other opportunities and there has been a lot of turnover, often not for the better. Most impactful was the loss of Jennie. There was a sharp dropoff in service, cleanliness etc. after that. She has come back as manager of the gym and is working diligently to bring things back into top form. She is definitely the right one for the job and I see the gym improving all the time. This PF is a big part of my life and I do recommend it highly.

Great place to go haven't worked out since 2009 just started a few weeks ago. At 300lbs I'm feeling better. Working on burning off some fat. 24 hours is great I can go before work then after work . It's so convenient and the price is Wright. I'm a shy person I like to keep to myself and it works out good.
The red light therapy seems to help with faster recovery. They have massage chairs and hygro beds I was going to the mall to use the chairs before.

Best and cleanest Planet Fitness gym in Reno by far! From the second I walk in w/ all staff greeting me to laying in a clean tanning bed my experience every time at this gym is awesome! I’ve used the hydro beds and the red light therapy and everything is always clean and staff are super nice! I have been to others and stopped going because the place was dirty and not friendly at all. This gym is the absolute best! This general manager has improved the place and I’m impressed. Best gym I’ve ever been to! Everything is always so clean. The members are so friendly and approachable, and the staff members are always smiling and keeping the place in the tip-top shape! I've been a PF member for 4yrs in Reno. I've been to all of the local gyms and choose to exclusively go to the PF in South Reno. This gym has the most welcoming and attentive staff. Clean, quality equipment and a healthy atmosphere.

One of the BEST PF places in North America !!! Very friendly staff with the greeting, very clean, well equipped, a lot of parking spaces. The locker room was excellent, except the water volume in the shower and basin could be improved. In the lockers, a lot of hooks were broken; hooks are a very important part of the locker. In my many years of belonging to gyms, hands down, this is THE absolute best! Amazingly clean. Majority of the staff are very friendly. Make sure your answers are addressed. Like this club because it's non judgemental. As a senior, I feel very comfortable going here. Looking at the pictures you can see how many machines are available. Spacious. Wide variety. Everything was great until today. This evening I got to the gym and I always go with my service dog. She is a husky, trained and well behaved. She sometimes is talkative when she notices something going on or trying to alert me on something. I suffer with anxiety disorder. She attends tho the gym on her vest and has her license tag so is visible to everyone. Today this lady Jennie lake came out of her office very aggressive saying barking was not allowed in the gym ( obviously very uneducated woman as huskies don’t bark they howl) I told her she was doing it because was her way to communicate something was off. Then she came at me saying so many clients about 6 of them, have complained about my “animal” as she called my service dog and the her guys at front desk had reported that to her. We went to the front desk and they only gave me one name of a person complaining and saying my dog was always asking for pet which is totally untrue, the people that pet her is people that ask to pet her. She’s never bothering anyone or in the way of people. I have videos that prove that.
Nobody has ever looked my dog in a bad way or even complained to me. I have to say too that I asked if she could come even though I’m protected under the law. That Jennie gal was rude and obviously very uneducated on what service dogs do and how they communicate. First she said was the barking and then about the petting. I also I find very unethical them disclosing the name of the person that complained “Caroline”. Awful experience, plus this triggered my anxiety to the pin t of panic attack.
I am not someone that looks for trouble, I just go into the gym workout and leave I barely talk to anyone at the gym cause I don’t like the gossiping.

I quit this gym a year & a half ago. I quit because of their shady business practices and the unbelievably terrible way they treat their employees. When I learned of how badly they treat their employees, I quit, and they don’t make it easy. I had to go in person and they just make it a real hassle to quit, but I followed their procedures and quit. Yet, every few months, they decide to charge me. They charged me again this week, I called the local gym (no corporate number to be found), and again was told there was no manager there, but she would call me right back. That’s what I was told a few months ago when I called about the same issue, never got a return call from a manager. This is actually the third time this has happened. I didn’t get a call back, so I disputed with my bank. Then, the next day, still without a return call from a manager, I got hit with a return check fee because my bank had returned the money to me! I now have to go through the process of getting a new card and changing all of my account information, because planet fitness continues to take money out of my account, without authorization, and without me being a customer or having any contract with them. I will be escalating to the BBB and whoever else I can report to, since the manager cannot be bothered with a five minute phone call.

Nice, clean establishment with really friendly staff! I've gone here for over two years now and have felt very safe here. I've been creeped on ONCE in that time frame and the employees were extremely professional with the situation & very kind. Lots of the regulars are also very cool! Only downside is that it gets a little full in the weights section sometimes, but that's somewhat expected on busier days. Overall, great gym with great staff at a great price!

The number of machines available is limited. This location is the only one available within a 40-mile radius. Meaning it's full mostly throughout the whole day. If you want more equipment available I recommend coming between 2300- 0900. Besides that it's a great location

I absolutely love this gym! It is always very clean. The machines are almost always in working order and on the rare occasion one does break, they work quickly to get it fixed. The staff (Sam, Morgan, and Trevor just to name a few) are absolutely phenomenal, friendly and helpful. Even the regulars are amazing once you get to know them. Not sure where these 5 star reviews are coming from… gym is not well kept at all.

Front sliding doors have been broken for at least a month. Had to force them open by hand on multiple occasions when leaving.

Towel hooks in bathroom have been ripped out of the wall and never fixed. Been like that since I started at this gym over 7 months ago.

1 shower handle detected from shower valve. Would be a 5 minute fix to just reset the screw to lock it in place. Instead the shower has been out of commission for 2+weeks only leaving 2 functional showers.

Bathrooms are also always dirty. Saw the same dirty Q tips in the corner of the changing area for 3 days straight.

The list goes on…
Needless to say I will be changing gyms.

I love this gym. The entire staff are super helpful and Sam is awesome. He gave me a comprehensive tour and they accept my insurance (Prominence) to pay for gym membership, it also includes black card access to the massage chairs including hydrotherapy, body enhancement lights and tanning beds. The gym has every kind of equipment you could want and all the patrons are considerate and polite. I see staff and patrons cleaning the equipment all the time so even when its busy it is clean. Hands down the winner of Planet Fitness branches that we have been to so far in our travels across the USA. Sam, Brett & Killian are without a doubt the nicest staff. Super welcoming and friendly, couldn't do enough for us from the second we walked in the door, they were so even super cool about that fact that our Aussie Black membership barcode doesn't work in the US due to an issue with their systems.

The facilities at this branch are top of the tables, even the showers had nice glass doors instead of the usual plastic shower curtains and endless hot water.

The equipment was all amazing to, and laid out in such a way that it was super easy to find. Best of all they had the new hydro massage tables and chairs...these things are next level for a 15 min session after a workout.

Thanks so much guys for an awesome experience at your branch. We can't wait to visit again on our next trip. The owners of this branch should be super proud of the team they have hired here...staff like this are worth their weight in gold.

100% recommend this Planet Fitness location! Sam Burkett, the general manager of this location has created a very friendly and highly maintained gym. It’s practically impossible as a female to find a gym that I feel safe at and won’t be harassed, but Sam and his amazing staff always make you feel safe and welcome to bring up any concern at anytime to make sure you feel safe and heard. Terrible cancellation policy! I moved out of state, and they are making it incredibly difficult to cancel, requiring me to send a notarized letter, or switch my membership to a new club, so I can then cancel it. In either scenario, they are stating I will still have to pay the 40 dollar annual fee tomorrow, with NO opportunity to have it refunded. Terrible, terrible business practices. I’d check out 24 hour fitness or southrac instead (both have much more reasonable policies).

The general manager Sam B. Is an amazing customer service representative and should definitely go work for a reputable company! Planet fitness however is a thief and thinks it’s ok to charge FAKE late fees in the amount of 94.00 to a 16 year old who’s account was being paid by my bank account. I reached for help with this as I can prove the payments were made and any fake late payments are a scam by planet fitness and abc financial. After a week and a half I’ve been told the fees are legit yet they can’t explain them and he couldn’t see them when we were in the gym and he also stated that even late fees couldn’t add up to that amount. He also said when he called back today that maybe I had a previous collections with them and they went through another persons account to get my debit card. Use somewhere, that cares if you’re there or not and doesn’t only care if they are getting to charge your card every month and steal from you. This Planet Fitness is always clean and only really busy on Mondays and Tuesdays. They have tanning beds and stand up units as well as red light therapy and hydromassage tables and chairs. My only complaint is the women's bathroom is always freezing.

Just started last week here and it's a nice big gym! Tons of machines, really cool 30 min classes M-F and Mariah has been amazing motivating and being patient with me while I get back into the swing of things! She even put together a work out program for me to follow on my own after she showed me all of the excerises and equipment. If you get the black card membership you have access to hydro massage bed/chairs, infarred and tanning. Also can bring a friend anytime you go to any gym and even multiple times a day!

Very clean inside and spacious room for a workout. 24 hours, 7 days a week so no need to try and fight closing times. Equipment was in pretty good shape compared to others but as for the parking lot, it was pretty compact. If you're a truck driver, drive your tractor around the back and there are a few spots to park.

This gym is excellent! Located in convenient shopping center in south Reno. Well rounded gym equipment and kept in working order. Associates are friendly. Curtis is the gentleman who keeps the gym tidy and clean. He can be seen always working and has a great smile to all while ensuring the cleanliness of the gym. Thank you Curtis!!!

I got this membership because it was 24 hours and I waited for the hours to change back and it’s been 2 years and still is not open 24 hours, I tried to cancel and they want to charge me a cancellation fee of $58. 56 to cancel?!! And it says no commitment, Liars ! Don’t go there ! Limited staff and hours of business! No free weights! Wow 😮 I suggest Crunch Fitness same price, better service and gym !

Would love to join this gym. The only thing holding me back is this south Reno location is not open 24 hours. Due to my work scedual I get off work at 11pm. Would be an easy fix if they just put a key card scanner at the front door to let members in like other 24 gyms in town like anytime fitness clubs.

After my bad experience at the Sparks location I decided to try the Reno location, Boy! what a difference!! I was greeted as I entered, When I explained about my deafness the young man lowered his mask so I could read his lips. I told him about the Sparks not accommodating my needs and he told me he could sign me up there and transfer me to Sparks but I am going to stay with Reno location because all the people who was working were interested in helping me feel welcome!!
