The Ballroom of Reno School of Dance offers a Dance With Me Dementia-Friendly partners dance class that builds community and supports the engagement of people living with dementia and their partners.
The Ballroom of Reno School of Dance partners with Dementia Friendly America Nevada Washoe County to offer safe, friendly, and fun group partner dance classes for free. Dance With Me Dementia Friendly offers classes that are a fun, easy activity that has a wealth of healthy benefits: physical activity, social connection, mental challenge, and the joy of music- which stimulates the brain!
Open to all, Dance with Me Dementia Friendly dancers report a new passion for dance. They tell us time and time again how much they love it!

I recently arranged for my 89 year old father to take dancing lessons and he has been very satisfied. Hats off to Jillian, his instructor, for working with him. He says she is “fabulous”. I’m so glad he has found such nice and accommodative place for his weekly lessons. And the weekend activities add to the variety of dance opportunities.

Five stars for Jillian who offers a $40 two session couples class (we used for a wedding). She was fun, upbeat, easy to work with, and went above and beyond to help us nail the dance. Highly recommend 👍

For the location, the facility is very clean. Everyone i have had contact with so far has been very friendly and helpful.
