Sept 2025
Shelly the instructor for Stretch & Recovery at Centennial Hills YMCA is great. The exercises utilize chairs, poles, scarves and mats. There is no mudic so we can hear her. We do warm up first. Then Shelly asks if anyone has issues such as shoulder pain, neck pain, etc. Then she shows us the exercises for those specific areas. The shoulder exercise really help with the pain in my shoulder. She is very thorough and meticulous. Besides those we do exercises for over all stretch. You can do the stretches at home as well. The pictures of Shelly shows the different pole stretches and squats.

It was a fun day at the Y on Halloween. The friendly staff were all dressed up in costumes. The Halloween decorations were great. Members got in the spirit as well. There were special activities for the preschoolers. Their decorated pumpkins were on display, very creative! Their costumes were fun and cute. They walked down the hallway with their bags and paused along the way for trick or treats. Check out the pumpkin pictures and costumes.

This was my first visit back after the COVID closure. The staff has changed. But they are just as friendly and very helpful. The front desk has added personnel which is great. This has improved the processing and wait time. Lobby, gym, basketball courts, pool and classrooms are neat and clean.

Very disappointed in the Kids Gym and Summer Camp. Yesterday my 4 year old was left in the bathroom my himself and he had to find his way back to the kids gym. This is beyond sad! My 6 year old at camp last year came home with a knot on his head and no one called me too inform me of anything, he said no one helped him. They have horrible child care and you should not expect safety used. I will not be renewing my membership!

The Y is well kept, and all staff are polite and helpful. There will never be a lack of basketball games. The only con is how early they close on weekends and the price of a membership compared to other gyms.

If the government opened a gym and subsidized membership. Awesome product or essentially the DMV with a couple dumbells with unruly kids on everything? Yep, the second one.

Might be great for what it is(?), but it isn't what i thought it would be. For a brand new facility, it sure could have been more user friendly. The shower was cold, the dressing room was tightly packed, there was really nowhere to set your stuff, there was no hot tub type anything, and no steam room or saunna (bummer)! There was nowhere to stretch, really, except some astroturf in the hallway, which there is no way to clean. ?! You have to bring your own towel & yoga mat. We found a quiet, empty room to be away from the chaos of many toddlers, only to be promptly kicked out for lack of a certified instructor. All in all, not worth my $15. Next climbing rest day on my road trip circuit, i will try a regular gym?

Previously I had good experiences here. A payment of mine didn't go through and then they charged me a late fee. It appeared to be twice the cost of my membership. That sucked. I spoke to manager about it and she said it was a "self own" on my part for not reading the contract. Left a bad taste and my self own is that I won't go back and recommend others avoid this place. If you do go beware what you are paying for.

Signed up because I am a veteran and I received a veteran membership for 25$. Every month they took 25$ out of my account even though I quit going because I can’t wear a mask and work out at the same time. Then with no notice except from my credit card company they attempted to take out 55$ Without informing me. So I drove across town and I signed their paper that I did not want their membership anymore. Even after doing this they still kept trying to take money out of my account. I wouldn’t go here if it was free. If you do wanna go here, make sure you check your account so they don’t try to scam you too.

Kids love the outdoor pool, though we all wish it were much larger than it is, especially compared to its counterparts.
Also, the swim test is required to be able to go on the diving board or slides, but the swim test only runs on the hour, and there isn't really anything else to do because of how small the pool is so plan your arrival time carefully or head over to the Y on Durango or Meadows Lane, they both have larger pools and additional things to do while waiting to go down the slide and/or diving board.

I love it here! They have the most attentive and caring staff I could ask for. My daughters have been going here since the distance education started this year and it has been the best decision I’ve made. They are making friends and socializing while still learning and getting the help they need for distant learning. I highly recommend coming here.
