About the Club

Tran Athletics Co., (Operating inside DedicationPT) led by Coach Riley Tran, is an independent personal training service serving the Southwest region of Las Vegas.
I offer private, semi-private (up to two clients), and online training sessions, tailored to goals ranging from general fitness, Muscle Building, Competitive / Recreational running and strength & conditioning.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science and Performance Programming from Arizona State University, certification as a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a background as both a competitive athlete and experienced trainer, I am equipped to provide a personalized, results-driven experience for any client.

I’ve had the pleasure of taking many group fitness classes coached by Riley at a boutique fitness studio, and he always stood out as one of the best. He is personable, professional, and truly motivating. What sets him apart is not only his energy and encouragement but also his deep knowledge of fitness and body mechanics—he always made sure movements were done safely and effectively. Even in a group setting, he took the time to connect with everyone and push us to be our best.

I haven’t trained with him one-on-one, but based on my experience in his classes, I know anyone who has the chance to work with him is in excellent hands!

I've been training with Coach Riley in a group class setting for a year, and he consistently brings great energy and motivation to each class. Even in a group setting, he takes the time to give individual feedback and correct form. Coach Riley is a one of a kind trainer who works with you to achieve strength. After coming back from knee surgery, Coach Riley always checked to see that I could perform the assigned exercises, and if I was any discomfort, he would immediately modify the exercise so that I could participate and achieve benefit from it. His encouragement and enthusiasm really helped me to heal and continue to build strength in that knee and overall.

Working with Riley helped me really change my health lifestyle out. I had never been into lifting, and didn't even like the idea of the it very much outside of a what I knew it could do for me. My first time lifting was with him. I ended up liking lifting especially a lot working with him more and more and have continued to lift because of him. I got past the nerves of it all and have became pretty consistent and confident with my healthy lifestyle and it all started with Riley. I started training with Riley 8 months ago (2x week) at the urging of my son. Riley coached me for about 5 months in Cupertino CA, prior to his return to Las Vegas. He's a great coach, working well with both experienced people and people brand new to gym workouts (me). I think what I liked the most was how he would gently but firmly encourage me to improve. Also, he was really good about explaining the mechanics of a given exercise (both body positioning and the muscles that we were working on.

Riley is one of the most knowledgeable, professional, and approachable fitness trainers I’ve had to this day. If you’re new to the exercising world - I find that starting your fitness journey with a personal trainer to help guide you will give you the best head start. You’ll get a lot more mileage with one-on-one time with a trainer opposed to going to the gym alone to start. As someone who has had many trainers over the years, I found that Riley is the perfect mix of knowledgeable, fun, patient, and encouraging!

For years I have tried to fall “in love” with running but kept failing to keep up with it. Riley asked me lots of questions and gave me great feedback based on my past experience. He taught me some great pre-run exercises/stretches and the importance of starting slow in order to build endurance and prevent injury. After incorporating his feedback/exercises, I now run more easily and do it more often - it no longer feels like a chore. I would recommend Riley to everyone across all fitness levels and ages.

At the start of 2025, I’ve been looking to get back into shape since I’ve let myself go a little near the end of my 20s. I want to make sure that I not only get healthier, but also build my body for the future.

I met Riley in a group class setting, and I was impressed with his ability to run a group class - he was very attentive to each person and really helped clients focus on form. He brings a great energy and is enthusiastic about fitness. After classes, I can usually talk to him about his experiences with fitness and even discuss diet.

Coach Riley is an amazing leader and trainer. He knows how to create a motivating environment and his energy and passion makes every session fun and challenging. Coach leads Saturday’s run club and it’s the highlight of my week- it’s open to all levels and if you’re towards the back, he’ll make sure to push you. If you’re looking for a coach that genuinely cares about your progress, Riley’s the one for you. 5 stars all around!
