Solid course, the place was in great shape aside from the greens and definitely a challenging layout. I would definitely play again once the get the greens under control which they are actively working on.

There is great scenery at this course and a relaxed atmosphere . The layout is quirky, with some very nice holes and some questionable ones. Not the course for those who like to bomb the driver off every 4 and 5. Course management is key.

Absolutely LOVE the Eastman Golf Course Pro Shop! The staff is beyond friendly, the gear selection is top-notch, and the whole vibe gets you hyped for your round. Five stars all the way!

By far the least favorite course design I've ever played. Massive elevation changes lead to blind tee shots and severely uphill approaches on the majority of the Par 4's and 5's, and I despise both. Unless you play here often and know the course well, you'll be looking for your ball a lot and end up with poor shots that look good off the tee & fairway. For this reason alone I won't play here again.

I gave it four stars though because basically everything they can control in the present time is good, so it's not fair to give a bad rating solely off what a course designer did 50 years ago. The staff is nice as well as the clubhouse. The carts are very new, which is nice as you'll need one due to the aforementioned elevation. Conditions are largely good, some landing areas in fairways are very soft from moisture but besides that the greenskeepers do a good job. Practice green is largely useless as it's a turtleback, but apparently it's being moved in the near future. $100 on weekends with a cart isn't awful in 2024.

Overall if you like the design features of this course mentioned above that I don't like, I'd give it a shot.

The course is nice, but the pricing information on the website is misleading. My college student son and his friends drove an hour to play at Eastman instead of the local course, because their website advertises "Juniors (ages 16 - 17) and Students" rate of $22. When they arrived, the person checking them in said that the "Students" reference is only for high school students. When they showed her the website wording quoted above, she said, "yeah a lot of college students have come in expecting that discount, but it's only for high school students." They ended up paying 3x for 9 holes then they were expecting to pay for 18 and spent much more money than they were expecting because they didn't have time to drive elsewhere. I see no issue with Eastman charging whatever they think is appropriate for their course. However, the pricing should be clear on the website and it's curious that they fail to revise the language despite their own representative acknowledging that it's a repeated misperception.

Unsurprisingly the course was very wet this past weekend, but still an excellent playthrough. The staff were friendly and efficient, and everything from online booking to teeing off was smooth. It's a bit of a different course in that it's not really houses built around a golf course, but more a golf course that runs through a neighborhood, but it's fun with a mix of hazards to watch out for.

On a minor note, it's not necessary for sure, but I was a bit sad that the scorecard didn't have a map of the holes on it as many courses do. The folks I was paired with had their phones and a map on that which worked out fine, and many holes you can see where you're going anyway, but to me it's one of those small nice to have things.

The gentleman working the pro shop β€œMark” was without question the most disrespectful, judgmental and rudest person I’ve ever encountered at a golf course.

There’s nothing like trying to enjoy your day and before it even starts have someone be as rude as he was, is simply unacceptable.

I will never return to this course again.

I'm not a golfer but I cross country ski on the trails in the winter. As long as there is snow, the crew does a great job laying down trails for traditional and skate skiing on the golf course as well as in the back country. Plenty of variety to keep things interesting. The higher elevation usually means more snow then other local spots. Rental equipment and trail passes are available at the center. Open to the public and easy access from I89.

Not worth it. The ranger will tell you to pick up the pace even when you are ahead of pace. He will then sit there and watch you for the next two holes while you catch the people in front of you for no reason. Don't worry nobody was behind us they were just trying to sell extra time slots. The were also covered in divots save your money go else where!!!!

i think this is a great course. It can get very busy - I've learned not to count on walking in and finding an opening. It is always well maintained - the fairways and greens are perfect. I like the various elevations changes - both uphills and downhills make for some interesting holes. I always take a cart - i don't think my old body could walk this course. The staff is helpful and friendly. I was caught behind a very slow group and passed them. The ranger thanked me for handling the situation on own and offered to bring me to the hole i skipped after 18.

In my opinion, this is one of the BEST courses in NH. The course rolls through picturesque mountain terrain/views. Recent million dollar improvements to drainage and water management have enhanced the playability. Greens fees and membership charges are fair and openings available. Pace of play is normally good. The $5m new clubhouse is nearing completion and very nice. Bar and service are excellent...the food, not so much. It's my favorite place to play in NH.

I have taken three lessons with Mark, and they were wonderful. He made learning the game from scratch an experience I would recommend to anyone. His instructions are easy to understand, his style is relaxed and encouraging, and my progress was measurable -- and energizing. The links are gorgeous. What else could a learner want?

The course is a great layout with lots of challenge and variety. Pick the right tees, that match your game, to play from. You get to hit every shot in the bag, each and every round. The views are magnificent and with autumn just around the corner, the foliage will be breathtaking. The playing conditions are always perfect. The staff is most congenial, knowledgeable and attentive to member and guest needs. A day at EGL is a winning combination for anyone looking for an enjoyable round of golf in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee region.

I have been playing Eastman for several years, and this year became a member. In my view, Eastman is pretty much the best golf value you are going to find anywhere: its a well-designed championship-caliber course, ranked among the best in NH and New England, available at affordable rates. The staff, led by Mark Larrabee, is both professional and extremely accommodating of golfers of all skill levels. Eastman is also a very family-friendly course (kids under 15 play for free after 2pm, and the staff go out of their way to offer lessons and other support for juniors).

This 18 hole course is a hidden gem. It's beautifully maintained and we always have a wonderful experience. It was great for my boys who were beyond a Par 3 wanting to up their game. I have played Eastman for many years and have seen all of the changes that has been done to the course. The course is always in great shape, the staff is awesome and the Pro is one of the best people you will ever meet. A course so beautiful that you can't decide if you want to play golf or just admire the scenery. The course is challenging but very fair and the golf staff could not be a group of nicer people. Rarely do you have to wait to play on any hole and if you do it is simply because you are caught up in the beautiful scenic setting of the course. Make sure you have good golf shoes or take a cart because there are only 2 holes that I could say are not up hill or downhill. Whether you play well or poorly the course is like a magnet that makes you want to come back. Finally the most important point the course is always kept in tip top shape with lush fairways and smooth greens.
