Hampshire Hills is located in Milford, NH. Our members come from the surrounding communities of Southern New Hampshire, and our close neighboring towns such as Amherst, Bedford, Hollis, Brookline. We offer a vast array of sports, over 100 group fitness classes weekly, and athletic training options making it easy to find the perfect workout and exercise program for you.
You will find both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts and pickleball at Hampshire Hills as well as sports fields, walking trails, basketball gym, climbing wall, group exercise classes, indoor tracks, yoga, Pilates, the Fitness Center, summer day camps and sports camps, and more!

While the facilities are large and there are many options, the constant turnover of the staff (with the exception of a very select few)
is noticeable and disappointing, and in this small community we have spoken to many former employees over the years and the common issue is how management treats the employees. After being members for years, we recently terminated our membership because of it.

Excellent facilities, really anything you want
The staff is very friendly and always willing to help.
Lots of workout equipment but some is getting very long in the tooth.
The Cafe on-site is an added bonus.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank the staff at Hampshire Hills. It remains one of the premier health facilities anywhere. I was a long time member until moving from NH. A special thanks for the kindness of owner Rick Holder, who helped our family put on a benefit dance with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra years ago. There are many athletic activities to choose from, so whatever your preference, HH probably has it. Try the upstairs restaurant for excellent food and drink. A simply marvelous place, and highly recommended!

Speaking solely for the weight room and locker room, it's just ok given the cost. Things are pretty rundown and dated. As an athletic club overall they offer a lot, which obviously plays into the membership cost, but if you're going for the gym alone there are better options out there. Again, this review isn't intended to address anything other than the weight room and locker room.

They will steal your money for as long as they can get away with it. I cancelled my membership back in March, and now, in June, they are still stealing money from my account. Part of this is on my bank because the previous dispute was supposed to prevent the club from charging again, but stillβ¦. The club should NOT still be charging my account!

Swim classes for kids at Hampshire Hills is a waste of money, go somewhere else. This place charged us $50 for a single swim class and all the swim instructor did was dump balls in the pool and then spent half the class talking to life guards. They also overcrowd the classes and sometime have 2 classes at the same time in a very small area so itβs not possible to move much. Stay away.

big fan of this place. small-ish fitness room but it's rarely crowded. they don't have a ton of machines but they have pretty much everything I need. lacking free weights.
outside the machines, there are pools, courts, steam room and sauna, nice locker rooms, a restaurant and all kinds of things. they constantly do events both for members and the community.
staff has always been helpful, and the other members are either friendly or mind their own business

We encountered an incredibly hostile and aggressive member at Hampshire Hills Athletic Club (Milford, NH) for an adaptive swim session last week. There was bully behavior towards my 6 year old disabled son that was very clearly struggling. There was an altercation and strong words said by me. After snapping his fingers in my sonβs face, he said βgive me my jacketβ I then took his windbreaker and threw it to the side of him so he would have to pick it up. When the incident was brought to management to have this member held accountable for his behavior, management sidestepped and I was gaslighted. οΏΌI believe this person is too *important* οΏΌto have his membership be suspended or revoked.
It is not a family friendly environment.
It is not an inclusive environment towards folks with disabilities.
Retaining members and not rocking the boat is more important than enforcing member conduct and holding members accountable. οΏΌ

Haven't signed up yet but did the tour, not inexpensive but overall a quality fitness facility, swimming, tennis, racketball, basket ball, indoor track, weights, weight machines, cardio machines, spin classes, yoga, boot camp etc.. add in a restaurant, Cafe and spa facilities you get a lot for your dollar.

Took a tour of this place and was convinced to give it a try for myself, my wife and our three young (7, 5 and 3) kids. It's a long story but we were sorely disappointed in the services, particularly the pools, and with the staff. The pools were advertised as a fun option for kids with weekly pool parties etc... In reality, however, they go as far out of their way as possible to make the pools not fun and lifeguards do an excellent job making you and your kids feel unwelcome when you don't know the arbitrary rules they enforce (that aren't written in the rulebook). We had a miserable first day and asked to cancel our membership due to all of the issues that were not as advertised. Despite it literally being the first day of the membership they refused. The facilities are ok but it's definitely not as advertised and be very cautious when paying for kid memberships as the pools are a disaster.

Unfriendly staff at the Upper deck restaurant, who want to see you get out of the place as quickly as possible. We were allocated a table at the farthest corner, not clear if there was an intention of keeping us away from the rest of the white patrons. Will not be going here again if there is such open discrimination. The waitress of course denied this when we questioned her why she assigned us this table. Food was good though, and that's why they managed to get 2 stars from me.

Great place to take the family they do a lot of cool things than basketball courts indoor and outdoors swimming pools with a jacuzzi Asana and diving board I think they have a water slide on the side I'm not 100% sure and a kiddie pool they also have lap pools. They have a men's locker room and they have a family like a room. They have tennis courts they have a rock climbing wall they have racquetball courts they also have a track above the indoor basketball gym they have a really great weight room so they have a little bit of everything for rain type of person. They do yoga classes and stuff like that they do events on occasion job fairs and stuff like that so they're really cool please turn become a member at their gym.

Tennis courts are a nightmare to play on if you're not used to it. Ball just skids off the surface and you have to swing half a second before you think you need to. A well run club otherwise. Decent rates and great pros and members.

When our group needed to find a place that we could gather inside socially this was my place of choice. They are already going above and beyond to keep the Hampshire don't safe for local athletic teams to practice. They also are very good about social distancing and practicing safe mask wearing with all of The sports activities that they offer during this panda mc. I felt safe going in here

The facilities are very adequate and family focused. Have a real problem with their COVID policies as the don't require masks in the fitness area.
Was in a few weeks ago and saw four teenagers or super-spreaders huddling in a group talking without masks on.
Any precautions they are taking for the virus are negated by allowing people to walk around without them. Very, very poor decision making on their management's part putting members at risk unnecessarily.
I belong to a fitness club in Kittery, Maine and they require all members to wear masks unless in an area that has plexiglass shielding.
Get with the program HH! We're in a pandemic with a highly contagious deadly virus.

What a great venue. My BNI (Business Networkers International) meeting is held there every Thursday morning at 7:45. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The facility is immense with everything conceivable for your health and fitness. I highly recommend its use as a fitness facility and as a venue. For a first hand look at the venue, I invite you to be my guest visitor to my BNI chapter Thursday. The friendly front desk staff will direct you to where BNI meets. Since it is an invitation only meeting, just say you are Charles's guest.

We are so happy and thankful for our wedding reception experience at Hampshire Hills. The coordinators and staff put so much time, energy, and effort into helping us make our wedding day so special. We had a lot of moving parts and a lot incorporated into our reception, and Hampshire Hills was so on top of everything to make it all happen successfully. My husband and I weren't the only ones who felt this way. My family members and my wedding party commented on how wonderful, friendly, and on top of everything the Hampshire Hills staff was. Our guests really enjoyed the lovely cocktail hour and raved about the appetizers. Everyone we've spoken to enjoyed their meals (as did the bride and groom). The reception area looked BEAUTIFUL, and lastly, Hampshire Hills just went above and beyond to make our wedding day lovely, fun, and convenient from the planning phase to the special day. Knowing that we could make our reception unique, but trust that we had the professional help from the Hampshire Hills team meant everything to us. Hampshire Hills did not disappoint!

I walked into Hampshire Hills and immediately felt so relieved. We had to cancel our original wedding venue reservation and were about 12 days away from out wedding date with ZERO idea where or how we were going to pull it off. After getting the tour, we fell in love with the grounds, the John Burns room, the back deck, the whole place is beautiful!
We then took a look at the food packages and couldn't believe we were finding a beautiful place to get married, a fun place to host a reception, rooms for the wedding party to prepare in, super friendly and accommodating staff, so many little details included, and it was SO AFFORDABLE. After our big day, we looked back and thought, if we could start the planning process all over again, we would have started it with Hampshire Hills.
