I understand there is a late policy for the cycling class, and I respect that. What I don’t appreciate is being accosted in the parking lot by the instructor, who told me I was disruptive and that I’m not allowed to do that again. I tried to explain that someone inside the facility told me I could still go in and sit in the back row, even if the class had already started. However, the instructor cut me off and continued to press her point.
I have never been approached like this before—especially in front of others, while I was simply walking to my car. There was no “Hi, how are you? Is this your first class?” No introduction whatsoever. Had there been, I would have explained that this was only my second day in New Hampshire and that I’m very new to the facility and the area—hence why I was 3–5 minutes late (which you can verify by checking the check-in iPad).
Please treat people with kindness. You never know what someone might be going through.

The team at the Fort does a great job training and in the cycle studio. Highly recommend. They also have pickle ball courts available for rent which is a great way to spend an afternoon

Can’t recommend The Fort enough! I came in about 7 months post op from an ACL tear. I started with the 45 minute classes which were a great way to get moving again. Then I switched the thrive group training (with Liam, can’t recommend Liam enough he is absolutely amazing)! I’ve seen great progress throughout the whole time I’ve done it!
The facility is always clean, has great equipment that always works, and the staff all around is super friendly and encouraging!

I've been working with Kaylene for several months and if I could add more stars I would! Kaylene's knowledge and expertise provides for some creative thinking around any previous/current injury and knows how far to push you so that you end your workout feeling challenged and accomplished. More than that, Kaylene has been a wonderful support during a stressful time. I never thought I'd say this but I actually look forward to my workout time with Kaylene and leave feeling lighter and ready to take on the rest of the week. In addition, every other staff member I've met has been personable and professional. If you are looking for an awesome personal trainer and facility, you don't need to look any further!

Fortitude is not only a great place to go and get in shape. The people who work there, sure have a way of making you feel welcome. I have been going there for going on a year in a half now and the experience has been great. I personally kickbox with one of the owners there, and look forward to coming every monday. She has a way of pushing me farther then I think I can go. I highly recommend Fortitude Health and Training.

I started with Fortitude at the beginning of the pandemic, and exercise exclusively through their virtual personal training option. My trainer, Kaylene, is the best that there is! She teaches me, challenges me, and supports me. I thought it would be hard to personal train over the computer, but Kaylene finds creative ways for me to do my workouts with whatever equipment I have at my house. It's easy, convenient, and I am able to work just as hard as if I were actually at the facility. Kaylene truly is the best, and I highly recommend her for anyone.

Take caution if you choose to train here! I am suffering from a back injury now due to carelessness. I started personal training at fortitude to LEARN how to safely life weights and was put in a dangerous high intensity work out switching from bent over row to dead lifts which gave me a herniated disc and sciatica. It is now over a month later and I can hardly walk. I was very active and an avid runner. I am now completely incapacitated. The worst part is when I reached out to Danielle in regards to a refund for my remaining package (as I can not work out due to the damage they caused) I was met with silence. I’ve had to cancel a trip to visit family as I can not get on a plane in this condition and the medical bills just with in this month have far exceeded the cost of the package with no end in sight.

I’ve been with the Thrive program for 2 years now. It has been an amazing experience which has given me confidence I didn’t know I had! It’s the best of both worlds - I have a fantastic trainer to guide me through my own program tailored to my physical needs and goals, as well as a supportive community that cheers me on. I used to have such high anxiety at the thought of joining a gym/program, and now I look forward to my time there every week!

Went to the gym for a while and facility has good convienent classes but one of the owners Lisa is very rude and unpleasant to members- she’s degrading and outright disrespectful. It’s tough to focus on fitness in this type of environment- many members feel the same. The other owner Danielle is very professional and a delight to take classes with!

Resolve small group training has helped jump start my current weight loss goals. My original goal was to be stronger and with the help of the coaches I have reached my goals and more. These trainings help build a strong foundation to reach whatever goals you set. The classes this gym offers are amazing! They are always fun and challenging and no two classes are the same. I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for an amazing atmosphere and want a great workout!

I've been taking classes here for over a year and will never stop being astounded by my amazing fellow members around me and the compassion and strength of the staff and owners here. They are patient, caring, and so helpful to us to try and achieve amazing fitness, or the best we can be at the time 😆. They work with every skill level and injury and inspire every day. Can't say enough great things about this gym! Without a doubt the best gym, best atmosphere, best workouts ever. All the instructors are knowledgeable and truly amazing but Danielle and Drew especially have taken my fitness and workouts to a new level. I have never loved a gym so much! I am truly sad to be moving away because I will miss the Fort and everyone there.

Hands down best gym, best trainers, best facility, best workouts, best atmosphere and best price!! I have been attending gyms for over 30 years and no other gym comes close. The group class workouts are fun and challenging and the trainers expertly keep things interesting with exercise variations and infectious enthusiasm. Everyone from the front desk staff, to the trainers, to the members is remarkably welcoming and friendly. It is very inspiring to work out every day with all ages (teenagers to senior citizens) and all fitness levels (beginner to elite athletes) and the camaraderie that exists naturally leads to friendships and a drive to achieve fitness goals. Believe me, once you've found Fortitude you can stop looking for a gym.

I have always been a person who ran or did other cardio workouts. I was introduced to group workouts when I started doing a bootcamp with a group of friends in one of our basements, but still a majority of my workouts were just running. When that died down I was back at the gym, trying to get the self motivation to do things I didn't know much about. Soon after I was hit with a string of minor injuries keeping me from doing anything I knew. Then I joined Fortitude. My first class was a bootcamp on a Wednesday night with Kevin. He was kind, inclusive and the class kicked my butt, literally and figuratively. I was hooked.
Over the past year my expectations of myself and of a work out are very different. The variety and motivation I gained from your classes was something that really kept me engaged and wanting to do more. The community there is supportive and always pushed me to do my best. I already miss kickboxing and Saturday bootcamps. I am struggling to find an equal in Boston that has the balance that the Fort has found, but I am supplementing with the beautiful weather and ample running/classes that surround me.
Great gym. Incredible staff. Wonderful community. Everyone should take advantage of this NH gem.

Fortitude is an exceptional training facility! The trainers, instructors and staff are always welcoming. Everyone greets you by name and truly cares about your individual fitness goals!
I've trained with Lisa (and occasionally Jenn) for a year and a half now, and my only regret is that I didn't join years ago. Their attention to your overall health, strength, flexibility and mobility is unique and comprehensive. After every workout I leave feeling stronger, fitter and most importantly, happier! I love the difference in how I look and feel.
Lisa goes above and beyond to help me set (and stick to) my fitness and nutrition goals. I have tried other gyms and trainers before, but never have I experienced professionalism, positivity and expertise like this. She is always encouraging, positive, full of energy and extremely helpful. Never before have I been so excited about working out!
Lisa and the other amazing trainers at Fortitude really care about their clients and it shows. They do an awesome job encouraging their clients, and when I reach a goal, they are genuinely excited for me!
They are all so passionate about what what they do and they understand how to motivate you in a way that will work specifically for you. They will do everything in their power to help you reach your health and fitness goals!
If you are in need of a great personal trainer, an amazing group x class or an awesome spin class, then Fortitude is the right place for you!

I wanted to take a minute to remark on my continued amazement of the team you have built at Fortitude Health and FortCycle. The culture of support and inclusion you have instilled in your staff is remarkable. Just yesterday I again experienced this. Even in a dark room with loud music and a full class, Drew was keenly aware of everyone in the room and exactly what they needed down to a sip of water. And, when if lacking made sure that it was taken care of - and I've experienced this many on your staff. Sarah also comes to mind as she has helped to get me organized on more than one occasion!
I am not a business owner but I am a manager and I can only hope that my staff is as supportive of our customers when I'm not looking. It is certainly something that you have achieved at FortCycle and Fortitude Health.

As a 14 year veteran of the fitness and wellness industry, it's important for me to tell all of you that Lisa, Danielle, their entire team, and the work they do are absolutely phenomenal.
The facility is pristine, superbly appointed, spacious, and inspiring. The classes are varied and accessible for all. And this part is especially important: the 14 years I referenced out of the gate has left me with some physical limitations. Yet, I have been able to participate fully in any class I've taken there. Modifications are plentiful, the coaching is superb. Furthermore, Lisa and Danielle are ALWAYS there - this means something to me for personal reasons.
I am a proud member of The Fort and I hope this unbiased and objective review will inspire you to go try a class.

Not your average gym! GREAT. Classes - from TRX to warrior boot camp to iron and now barre! They are anything but "routine" and The staff is amazing. They are personable, creative, and fun people who are truly passionate about their classes. They know members by their name- not an id badge. Fortitude is the best gym we've ever joined.

I just completed a one-month winter break student membership at the Fort and it was so worthwhile. Nothing compares to their upbeat classes to rejuvenate the mind and body. I have been to many gyms and this one by far stands above the rest. It has more of a community feel than just a gym. It is extremely clean, and thoughtful with towels, hairdryer, etc. provided. The owners and their staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. They challenged me with different exercises, equipment, and always taught proper technique. My favorite class is boot camp, however the barre class they just added is a new hit for me as well. They have a variety of classes at all different times. I found myself looking forward to getting up early for a motivating class. As challenged as I was, I still felt like I was having fun (the music helps!), and definitely saw results in my one month there. I look forward to coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting, fun, and invigorating new workout regime.

Members of the Fort can and will tell you why Fortitude Health and Training just won the Best of NH award for best gym. It all starts with the top tier staff who also won the Best of NH award for personal trainers. The classes they host are designed to be not only challenging and a great workout, but tons of fun. The staff will push you to reach your fitness goals while acknowledging that each member is at their own stage in the fitness journey. If you are simply looking to run on a treadmill with headphones and leave, this gym is not for you. The facilities are designed for their style of bootcamp classes with a large matted room and a basketball court room. The whole gym is full of toys such as plyo boxes, speed ladder, punching bags, climbing ropes, trx straps and just about any thing else you can imagine. The fun welcoming community extends beyond scope of normal classes (TRX, Bootcamp, Yoga, Kickbox and Iron) and gym activities thanks in part to a variety of social events hosted by the gym. The Fort is definitely a great gym and a great community.

If you are tired of the old boring routine at your Gym of treadmills and weights this is the place to check out. What you will find at the Fort is workouts that will push you to your limits while having fun at the same time. The class based approach that is used is ever changing and never gets old. Also working out with other people you will find a new drive to your own workouts. The instructors are very friendly and are always willing to help you out with any issues you might be having. The facility is one of the cleanest that I have ever been in before. Once you do your first workout I promise you will be back for more!!

The Fort disguises high intensity workouts in the form of 45 minutes of fun with the most caring staff and great members. I've tried traditional gym memberships in the past, but found myself doing the same routine and feeling stuck in a rut. The instructors are constantly changing the classes and concocting innovative ways to keep your workouts fresh and interesting. Highly addictive!

These guys are great. There is a huge range of group classes ranging from yoga, boot camps, TRX and weight training, and my favorite, the "Combat Kickboxing" which is a cardio version of kickboxing that involves heavy bags and hand pads that you get to take frustrations out on. They also have a small, fully functional weight area which is nice if you just want to lift. Nice days in the summer can also bring boot camp excursions outside which are awesome. The routines are always changing too, which keeps it exciting. The gym is VERY clean, both in the workout areas and showers/changing area. Management is responds quickly to questions and concerns, and the trainers, as well as fellow gym members, are all friendly and fun to work with. Not a typical cookie-cutter gym, you'll find that the friends you work out with help to push you just a little bit more which is definitely nice for motivation.

I am beginning year 3 as a proud member of Fortitude Health and Training. The classes are always challenging, but never boring. Lisa, Danielle and their staff are constantly coming up with new ways to get us in shape while having fun at the same time. The gym is immaculate, the members are super friendly, and parking is rarely an issue. My day is never complete without a visit to the Fort!

My wife always raved about the classes at The Fort, so I decided to check it out for myself. They're no joke! Whether you try the boot camps or TRX, you'll end-up in a puddle at the end of the hour. Everyone goes at their own pace, so no one should be intimidated by the group classes.
They're slogan is "Get Fit at The Fort", and it sure is true!
