I travel to Wolfeboro once a year with a friend and we always plan our trip to be there on a Wednesday to experience the magick that is Garry Simons and his healing Crystal Bowl sound bath. It is Garry's wonderful energy behind those bowls that make them sing so beautifully and provide the healing that they do. If you have never experienced his medicine give yourself the gift if you find yourself in Wolfeboro on a Wednesday, you won't be disappointed.

As a visitor from NY, I found this fitness studio extremely inviting. The staff and members were so sweet and friendly. In addition to the welcoming atmosphere, the gym had adequate equipment for cardio and weight lifting as well as offering a variety of classes including yoga, strengthening, and cycling. Because I planned on attending a class every day, I opted to purchase a 1 week pass. This included unlimited classes and access to the equipment whenever I wanted while the studio was open. As weird as it sounds, I’m actually going to miss this gym when I leave. Hoping to return the next time I visit the area.

This studio literally changed our life. The yoga, spin, and strength & stamina classes have helped us get in shape for ski season and my husband - who used to pop Advil all day long - says his aches and pains have mostly gone away as he got fitter. We retired last year and were deciding whether to settle in Wolfeboro, Hanover, or somewhere else in NH and the community at Yoga 4 Life and the caliber of their classes made our decision to buy a home in Wolfeboro easy. We especially love Joy’s 7:30 am Rise and Shine yoga class and Anni’s Spin, Spin Fusion, and Strength & Stamina (like a boot camp) classes. Anni kicked our 23 and 26 yr old kids’ butts when we brought them to class!
We’re in our mid sixties but there are plenty of younger AND older people who come in and plenty of guys as well as women. There are also beginner classes for those just starting out as well as a nicely outfitted gym. The studio space itself is large, clean, and gorgeous. Fresh towels are always available, as are mats, blocks, pads, and blankets. Front desk staff (Sue or Meg) are super helpful and can suggest classes based on your needs.

I don't make a habit of leaving bad reviews but the treatment I experienced from this studio was so unreasonable and unkind that I am genuinely stunned and feel compelled to warn others.
I asked to pause my membership (not for a refund, to get extra time added or anything else that would have cost them money or inconvenienced the studio or its staff in any way) due to an unforeseeable and unavoidable change in my ability to attend classes. This request was denied, with no justification given, and the person I spoke with was unbelievably callous regarding some of the sensitive and personal details I shared.
I would've expected better from even a chain/big brand, so to be treated like this by a small local business was incredibly disappointing and disheartening. I encourage the owner to reconsider how they treat their customers, both in the interest of rationality and also what is decent and fair.

Went to Crystal Bowl Meditation on 2/21. I used their blankets, yoga mats, and bolsters. I woke up with bed bug bites the next day. I've never had bedbugs in my life. I called the studio on 2/28 to make them aware. They hung up on me.
It's unfortunate because I considered taking some of their other classes.
If you decide to go, I suggest bringing all your linens and pillows and immediately washing everything & your clothing when you get home so you don't end up with an infestation.
