Alloy in Franklin Lakes is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. The workouts are challenging yet perfectly tailored to each individual, ensuring that everyone—regardless of fitness level—can push themselves safely and effectively. The trainers are absolute experts in their field, constantly providing real-time feedback, advice, and encouragement to help you maximize your results.
What truly sets Alloy apart, though, is the incredible community. The people here are welcoming, supportive, and inspiring, making every workout something to look forward to. Whether you're just starting your fitness journey or a seasoned athlete, you’ll feel right at home. If you're looking for a gym that delivers results while surrounding you with positive, like-minded individuals, Alloy Franklin Lakes is the place to be!
One thing I’ve learned at alloy is that you don’t need perfect days — just consistent effort. 💪✨
Every workout feels individualized to exactly what I need, and the coaches are some of the most knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely friendly people you’ll meet. They push you, support you, and celebrate every win right alongside you.
What I love most, though, is the community. It truly feels like showing up for friends — people who want to see you grow and who make the hard work fun. I actually look forward to going, and that says everything. ❤️🏋️♂️
Thank you, Alloy, for helping me become stronger, more confident, and more consistent — one day at a time.

Updated Review...I’ve been a member of Alloy Personal Training in Franklin Lakes since they first opened over two years ago, and it has truly been life-changing! I highly recommend Alloy to anyone who feels like they aren’t getting enough personal attention or motivation at other gyms. Every single coach here is amazing. They challenge you, push you to new limits, and ensure that you leave every session feeling accomplished and energized. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and always make thoughtful adjustments based on individual needs. I’ve never been someone who loved working out. I’ve tried classes, I’ve tried going to the gym on my own, but nothing ever stuck… until Alloy. I have been going here for over two years which is a new record for me! If you’re looking to make a real lifestyle change, improve your health, and finally achieve your fitness goals, look no further than Alloy Personal Training in Franklin Lakes. You’ll be so glad you did!

I have been here less than 2 weeks and while I generally don’t leave reviews this soon, this time around I’m compelled to do so!
I’ve taken classes now across all 3 instructors (Kelsey, Brittany and Alanna) and they’re all great! They each bring their unique touch to the workouts. Kelsey keeps you moving throughout the class, Brittany comes up with “step ups” all the time , while Alanna makes sure that your form is picture perfect. A great combination.
What I love the most about the classes is that they aren’t intimidating. All the instructors push you to your limits but in a friendly versus intimidating manner. The workouts are structured such that you aren’t over exerting yourself and even back to back days are doable.
The members are amazing. What I like is that all of us are on the older side (I’m 40+) so our focus isn’t on vanity workouts but making sure we are healthy - and everyone is supportive of the other.
I hope to stick to this gym long term and make it a habit

Being a part of Alloy is more than having a gym or personal training membership. It’s being a part of a supportive community where both the coaches and those training alongside you are helping you find short term and long term success. The coaches care about your growth in your strength training, nutrition, and within the group. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else

Alloy is an amazing place to get into shape! It’s a judgement free zone where you are guided and challenged by knowledgable and experienced coaches who take time to understand your fitness goals and who build a program that is individualized while working together in a small group, best of all workout worlds in my opinion! I would recommend this gym to anyone who wants to get into shape or anyone who needs a kick start to build some serious muscle! Both Alana and Brittany are incredible trainers who listen and push you to be your best and achieve your goals! Highly recommend this gym!

I genuinely love this gym. The workouts are functional strength training, which I’ve come to realize is the best thing you can do for your body and long-term health. It’s helped me get stronger, feel better, and stay consistent. The classes are fun and challenging, and I actually look forward to going.
What really makes it different is how much personal attention you get. The coaches are amazing. They watch your form, they push you when you need it, and they hold you accountable in such a supportive way. It’s also a great value compared to personal training because you still get that one-on-one focus but in a small group setting that keeps it motivating.
They also offer nutrition support, which really ties everything together. It’s a whole lifestyle approach to health and sustainability, not a quick fix or fad. I’ve been a member since they first opened, and they’ve been with me through everything - ups and downs, a pregnancy, and all kinds of life changes. For the first time, I’ve found something I can stick with long-term. It’s truly become a permanent part of my lifestyle. The community, the positive support, and the type of training they do have helped me build healthy habits that actually last.

I love this gym! The small group training is perfect — there are only six people per session, so it feels personal but still motivating. Alloy Personal Training in Franklin Lakes is an absolutely wonderful place to exercise. The groups are never larger than 6 people. The trainer is always aware of what everyone is doing and constantly adjusting all exercises to each individual person. They are very easy to work with always willing to freeze your membership if you are going on vacation or have medical issues. The members are generally the over 40 crowd, just wanting to get into better shape, maintain their mobility, balance and strength. Alloy focuses on helping members get to where they want to be at a slow and steady pace so you do not injure yourself. An absolutely wonderful concept with great trainers. HIGHLY RERCOMMENDED!!!

I am not a person who enjoys going to the gym. Big group classes and overcrowded centers leave me feeling lost. But, I do enjoy being part of a small group. Alloy small group personal fitness has proved to be the perfect fit for me. The trainers truly care about my needs. They monitor my progress, correct my movements to get the best benefit from each exercise and motivate me to work to my potential! I love how they take notes and mark my progress, so it doesn’t matter what time I take a class or which trainer I have. They all know what I am capable of achieving!

I have always been wary of joining a “small group” training gym - I was intimidated by the thought of working with weights and didn’t really like the idea of paying for a boot camp, getting-yelled-at experience. Also, at almost 60, I am always concerned about injury.
I found Alloy completely by mistake (literally) and could not be happier! I love the individual attention the trainers give me, no matter who is running the class, and I feel I am encouraged to do more than I think I can without any of the yelling or shaming that I’ve experienced at other gyms.
If you’re on the fence about joining, I suggest you give it a try! It’s great to feel great and empowering to know you can do more than you think! And it helps that so many of my aches are now gone!

It’s small group workout. Very supportive and fun. Great stretch training and core building they mix up different exercises. It’s not the usual mundane circuit. Almost one year in, I feel so much stinger and more sculpted. And we laugh a lot during the sessions. It’s fun also

I started at Alloy in March of 2025, as part of my process for preparing for a surgery in May. My goal was to strengthen my core and my body so that I could set myself up for a more successful recovery. With my medical conditions, I've experienced very long and difficult surgical recoveries, and I was determined to change my pattern.
The staff at Alloy was extremely instrumental in helping me reach that goal! I have had the opportunity to work closely with all the trainers prior to and after my surgery. They listen closely to my needs, modify my exercises to work within my limitations, but also find a way to push and challenge me in a safe manner. I truly feel that all of this makes a huge difference in my day to day life.
Months later, I just completed my 55th session, and I'm feeling stronger and more confident each day! The small-group environment is perfect for me, as I've never been a "gym" person. It's a welcoming space, and everyone I've met has been an important part of my journey. The trainers are fantastic about checking in through their messaging service, and always respond quickly if I reach out. These sessions are helping me to improve my medical, physical, emotional, and social well-being! I have a lot of fun each week, while pushing myself towards more progress and growth.
Thank you to Alex, Alanna, and Brittany for all you've done to support me!

This has truly become one of my happy places! 💕 My original plan was just to try it out for a month because I was curious about the group coaching—but eight months later, I’m still here and completely hooked! The coaches are amazing: they clearly explain each workout, its benefits, and the proper form. Since the groups are small, they’re able to give everyone personal attention and correct your form when needed.
I’ve also met so many wonderful and inspiring people who are passionate about health and wellness. Another thing I love is the monthly accountability session with Coach Alanna, where we discuss nutrition and overall well-being. Plus, the regular InBody scans help me track my progress in muscle–fat balance and body composition.
Overall, I absolutely love Alloy in Franklin Lakes—it’s been such a positive and motivating experience!

The most impressive aspect of Alloy is the staff- Alana and Brittany. The initial assessment was comprehensive beyond my weight and goals. They took the time to understand my lifestyle, past injuries, and movement patterns in incredible detail. During every workout since, the trainers have an almost supernatural ability to pay attention to my movements, spotting a subtle flaw in my form from across the room, ensuring I'm moving safely and effectively. Their guidance on nutrition, supplements, the emphasis on sleep quality for recovery, and the general encouragement to build a healthier lifestyle have been very refreshing. And they also host a special, as-needed seminar on a topic like the women in menopause, providing extra value and knowledge to the community.
On a practical note, the gym's location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to stay consistent. The equipment is always spotless, the floors are pristine, and the restrooms are clean. It is an overall very welcoming environment.
If you're looking for the perfect jump-start to your health journey, Alloy can be the extra support you need.

I found the personal training I needed at Alloy in Franklin Lakes. I've discovered a welcoming experience which matches my personal goals in a challenging and rewarding small group. Four or five of us share sessions always varied and specifically focused to build, a little at a time, toward our individual targets. Our trainers know us, our strengths and our limits. They are clearly expert, experienced, and deeply professional. At ninety years, I know I need to focus on muscle strength and tone and balance and equilibrium. At Alloy, I feel like a partner with my trainer as we work together to keep me strong and active.

I'm submitting this review as someone who has exhausted 'fad' workout establishments, desperately trying to find the 'right fit.'
I had previously worked out with a personal trainer, which I loved, but when it became too costly- I ventured out, trying AND quitting countless places.
I was hesitant to start with Alloy, as a 'small group' training session didn't seem promising for achieving my personal goals.
At the time, I wasn't intrigued by anything else and figured that doing something was better than doing nothing. My intention was to simply start until I found something 'better.'
I say all of that to say- I started with Alloy at the end of February and have been committed ever since. To date, I've successfully completed 100+ sessions and can fruitfully say that without knowing exactly what I was looking for- I finally found it!
I've attended every time slot and day offered, each containing different 'regulars.' Despite the vast range of ages and/or ability levels- the trainers are dedicated to driving individual results.
Greg, the owner is unlike any other, and although he's not always physically there, he adds tremendous value, taking great pride in his facility, and it shows.
His very carefully selected trainers are truly what makes the difference. Although Alex and Alana have different styles and techniques, they are extremely knowledgeable, talented, and patient. Both bring their own unique energy and never allow you to feel lost in the group, keeping everyone motivated to keep going and never give up or become complacent.
Together, they all go above and beyond, always adding personalized touches- which is just another thing that separates them from the rest.
Members can count on methodically planned workouts. A meticulously clean environment. Flexibility and tailoring as needed. A sense of community. Becoming a member means supporting a small local business and becoming a part of the 'Alloy Family.'

I have been going to Alloy since they opened in February and I could not be happier with my experience. Along with all of the traditional benefits of going to the gym, like getting stronger, losing weight, feeling better about yourself, and improving mental health, all of which Alloy provides, what really sets them apart from other gyms is their exceptional staff. I truly believe it's the people training you that makes the real difference at any gym.
What's even better is beyond the incredibly knowledgeable and caring staff, is the sense of community that is nurtured at Alloy. I look forward to going not only because I know I am going to get a stellar workout every time, but also because I know I am going to a judgement-free gym to workout with friends and have a blast! There is no judgement and if you’re just starting your journey (or restarting it after a long pause) or advanced this is the place for you. Deadbugs haunt me- but I keep chipping away at it and the coaches are right there to support me.
