This is the 3rd gym owner at this property, and i had high hopes for this newest owner. they were friendly at first, but have now become overworked and, in turn, rude. after over a decade of giving this space a chance, we have finally moved on due to the new owner Anthony.

Filthy locker rooms are never clean weights are never racked or are laying all over the floor dust on all the fans dumbells all rubber is falling off you can tell the owner doesn't come here often considering leaving

In the beginning this gym was awesome. It’s going down hill fast. Never any paper towels, it’s dirty, machines falling apart, bathrooms are gross, fans have so much dust on them. All the kids that work there do nothing but sit around and talk. At least make sure the paper towels are full. And on top of all this, he raised the price by $10 a month for ALL members. From $30 to $40 a month. Usually when gyms do this, it’s for new members not existing remember. Give us back our monthly payment and charge new members the new rate. Very unprofessional

Great place. Owner is super friendly. I accidently had been being charged twice when the gym went from NJ health and fitness to alpha. He refunded me all the charges zero questions asked and made sure it wouldn't happen again.

Good equipment is where the praise for this gym ends unfortunately. By far the filthiest gym I’ve ever seen. No management to speak of. The staff is never there and if they are they are unfriendly and unhelpful and the owner is just as bad. Seen him once in the entire tear I was a member. That fan was on a good day. It’s normally worse if u can believe it. No one racks their weights or cleans anything after they use it but they make sure to set up tripods before every lift.

*AVOID* Canceled three months ago and they are still charging my card. I went to the Ledgewood location to cancel, called both locations and sent two emails. I am still getting charged. The gym itself is not that clean and has a few broken machines. 24/7 access is a lie.

Gym was good, moved away, canceled in person as it was required. Continued to get charged for 3 months and a yearly renewal. Voicemails are not taken and phone lines dont get answered. canceling through my bank process as i write this.

I am revising my review that was posted previously (see below). This gym ownership is never here, worse, they have no one on site, at least from what I see from 8am to 11am when I usually go.
The gym is dirty. Any clean8 g crew they employee is not here very often. Paper towels are constantly empty. It has now pushed out exercise classes and the entire gym is primarily dedicated to iron.

I can't even find someone to cancel my membership. The phone is never answered and you can't leave a message.

This is a well equipped gym. I would rate this higher if it was better maintained relative to keeping the Ledgewood Led facility clean. The gym is not cleaned often enough either in cleaning the workout floor and the locker room.

The gym has a lot of potential and is a work in progress, went here for about a year. It has a great variety of equipment and a lot of power racks. However, the equipment is old, certain machines need to be refurbished, the dumbbells are rubber which is falling apart or missing the coating, the plates are all different brands some rubber, some metal. The gym is usually hot and humid. Not sure if the AC system sucks or they just don't keep it cool enough but I've never sweat so much than I have here. Bathrooms usually out of soap or paper towels. Barely cleaning supplies for the equipment and extremely inconvenient so nobody cleans the machines. The worst part is the clients. Nobody re racks weights here (example pic).People put 45s over the 5s, 10s and 25s. Sometimes you gotta walk around the gym to find plates to use. I've even seen people leave 3 plates loaded on the deadlift platform. Also when I joined it promised 24 hours and a sauna. 1 year later no 24hrs and no sauna.

Loved it when I joined last year, now going downhill, often no staff, dirty, no paper towels, dusty, etc. Now in the summer months worst of all NO AC, come on.. when there IS staff here they are very friendly and a good variety of machines, but hopefully it starts to improve instead of getting worse :/

Decent equipment, but no staff. No maintenance. Normally very dirty due to lack of staff. I’ve been trying to cancel for a month since I moved, every time I go to cancel there isn’t anyone there. Can’t call, same issue, no one’s there to answer the phone.

Cancelled my membership IN PERSON and filled out the cancellation paperwork, but they continued to charge me three months later. Called the front desk and was told that they had no record of me cancelling. Staff member wasn't even sure if they would credit me back. They'll happily take your money and put in very little effort to maintain their equipment. half of their treadmills are not safe to run on... the belts slip with each step OR they don't maintain a certain speed, etc.

Joined for the 24/7 access but it’s not open 24/7 as advertised on their website. Owner keeps promising that it’ll be open 24/7 in a couple more weeks, but it never is. Great gym and equipment, but let down by misleading info.

Great gym, however Sunday the high school kid working the front desk was playing explicit rap mumble music. This was not motivating and was horrendous. The kid was also just on his phone 90% of time and did not care what the members said about his music. It this gets fixed this gym will be perfect. All the equipment is great and space is even better.

I am SO happy this place opened here!! It’s just what we needed in this area, and personally, Alpha opening so close to my house has made me so motivated to get stronger and get back to being serious about taking better care of myself. So grateful for this gym❤️❤️❤️

This is the best gym ever the owners are great everybody is nice the machines are insanely good and it is so cool that the owners can make this a whole different gym in just about a month HIGHLY Recommend Alpha Fitness
