I was staying in Cape May for the week and all the nearby gyms looked pretty dreary, so I took a chance and drove an hour to check out Animal Kingdom Gym. I’m so glad I did. After my first visit, I was hooked. I ended up making the hour-long drive three times in just five days. The gym has equipment I’ve never seen anywhere else, it’s spotless, and it’s so big that it never feels crowded. The front desk staff is awesome, especially Erika, who greeted me with her beautiful smile every time. Best gym I’ve ever been to, and I plan on stopping by anytime I’m nearby!

Been a member here about 6 months now.
Big workout areas, nicely spaced equipment and very clean. The staff is courteous and helpful and always greets you when you enter.
The people working out here at 4 am are some of the nicest and hard working people I have met. Always a bro smile or a fist bump and everyone wipes down the equipment after each use.
The gym has went beyond my expectations and I would highly recommend Animal Paradise to anyone who is serious about the types of equipment and huge selection of weights.
I give this place 5 stars.

Animal Paradise is on a different level. The equipment is easily the best in the area, nothing compares, and the staff is super friendly and always ready to help. The vibe from the other gym goers is what really makes this place special though. Everyone is there to work, push themselves, and support each other. It is the kind of environment that makes you actually want to show up.

The cafe inside serves the best acai bowl around, and it is the closest one for at least another 30 minutes. They also have a supplement shop stocked with products you cannot find at GNC or Vitamin Shoppe, which is a huge plus. Shoutout Buffins.

Honestly, this gym is one of the most redeeming places in Vineland. We don’t have a lot going on around here but this spot is it. And no knock to other gyms like Planet Fitness in Millville and Vineland. They are great for what they are. But if you are someone who really wants to take fitness to the next level, AP is worth checking out. The design might seem intimidating at first glance, but I love it. It’s a real gym, built for real training. Support local & support quality. Animal paradise is both 🦍

Four stars because the gym offers a wide variety of lifting equipment— the best in one spot that I’ve seen in SJ. It has a sauna that finally seems to be hot all day, which is great, too!
Four stars: treadmills are absolute worst I’ve seen ever in a gym. Just terrible. Only one works properly and I’ve been here a year. Still have to wait for that one treadmill to open up.
Also NO WATER FOUNTAIN in the gym. I think the **health department** should be asked if this is legal. Finally, there is just a crazy amount of male traffic going into the women’s locker room daily. For cleaning/fixes… but it sucks to have to ask the men to move to a different spot so I can use a bathroom stall comfortably.
If those three things could get addressed, this gym would be 5 stars. Love the new muffins in the store too.

This is the perfect gym to go to if you’re looking for top of the line equipment to level up your workouts!! Plenty of crazy cool machines to try! Place is falling apart faster then they can finish construction. Equipment is not maintained, bolts falling out put together incorrectly and not being lubricated.. staff has no clue about gym equipment.. I told them about issues and they said the owner doesn’t care.. bathrooms not done construction equipment all over.. free weight area has to many Benches.. but you can’t tell them anything they know it all here.. If you are not going to listen to your customers who have been working out for over 20 years in the military… meaning I know what I’m doing then you should stick to furniture sales before someone gets hurt in this gym for failure to maintain equipment. Expected more from a gym for 70 bucks a month….

Still not impressed 8 months ago they said showers will be finished soon. Guess what they are not. Pain in the butt in the morning with only 2 showers.. don’t appreciate being lied to. And still equipment is not being libricated as well.

OVER A YEAR STILL ONLY 2 showers and still cable equipment is not being lubricated!!!

Went to there gym yesterday and grabbed a 2 acai bowls and waited 20/25 mins for it to be done , just to get a sloppy half bowl made all a mess barley any fruit I paid $25 for this is crazy the girl at the cafe bar was so rude and had an attitude didn’t even end up eating it threw it away tasted so horrible barley any acai was a bowl filled of granola

Edit: As animal paradise responded to me, I would like to update my review. The gym is small and the equipment isn’t that great quality either, both of which my sister and BF agreed. I’ll go to gyms to explore and I’ve been a member at Fusion and have gone to King of Gains, both which have been facilities with working water and better equipment. King of Gains is a wayyyy better facility with better equipment AND working water fountains in NJ. It’s bs to say water fountains can be unsanitary when maybe you can hire people that will maintain them instead of spending it on the 1000lb dumbbell no one will ever use. Paying all this money for a one day pass to not have water fountains is insane. So yes, a facility that is not Animal Paradise would suit my preference better

I had high hopes for this gym, especially after dropping $20 on a day pass.

The cardio equipment is complete trash. Most of the machines are branded simply as “Fitness” (which tells you everything), and about half were broken. The racks were a hassle to use, with a finicky locking system that makes adjusting bar height way more frustrating than it should be.

The gym clearly prioritizes aesthetics and “vibes” over function. Maintenance is clearly not a priority, broken machines go unmarked and ignored, even after being reported. I had to tell the front desk about a machine that failed while I was using it, and no one even bothered to put a sign on it. That’s a liability waiting to happen.

When I first walked in the staff behind the counter had their backs turned to me, too busy talking about ordering a “bear couch” to even greet a paying customer. I had to interrupt their conversation just to be acknowledged.

Halfway through my workoutI had to ask for a refund. If this gym ever decides to invest in maintaining their equipment and actually prioritize safety and function, it could be a solid place. But as it stands, it’s all show, no substance. Work out at your own risk.

I honestly had such high hopes for this place and was super pumped to be getting a nicer gym in “the middle of nowhere NJ”. After losing Inspira’s fitness connection after working out there for 15 years, I wanted really like this gym. I live 5 minutes from it, just a hop on 55. Instead, I left and changed my whole workout routine and drive 25 minutes to a gym in Bridgeton/Upper Deerfield. Personally, I love the aesthetic; however, I never felt 100% comfortable. Equipment was too close together, a cameras recording everywhere and I never wanted to ruin someone’s shot, and for me the vibe was just off. My workouts suffered and I couldn’t wait to leave. What really was the last straw for me was the broken equipment. I would rather workout in an old basement gym with older functional equipment than in an aesthetically pleasing gym with newer equipment that doesn’t work properly. I hope to one day try it out again after the work the kinks out. I do believe it has the potential to be great.

I’ve been going to this gym every day the last week. I have gone at a few different times of the day. It has a great atmosphere and everyone working out seems to be friendly and welcoming. The gym has the best weightlifting equipment money could buy. They have dumbbells in all sizes (up to 200lbs). Seven double sided squat racks. Four top of the line cable machines They house almost every top quality machine you can think of to grow virtually every muscle group in your body.
My issue with the gym stems from having little to no cardio equipment. To make matters worse, almost half of the equipment they have isn’t working at all or is half broken beyond the point of using. If you are new to this gym, like me, you will spend a good amount of time waiting for a working machine or trying out the row of very few options to find a working one.
The construction of the building is poorly done. The showers are incomplete and the ones that are have issues with functioning fixtures and handles.
The organization of the gym can be better. They waste a lot of space on useless real estate and have all the good lifting equipment jammed together. It’s like a bigger power lifting gym, threw up in a smaller gym. It makes moving around difficult. I would expect that you will inadvertently run into a $4000 machine that won’t move, so it’s going hurt for a second. They could space things out better and maybe fill in some of the useless space: like the lounge area, pool table, and posing room (seriously).
This gym 100% has potential and they are still new. I fully expect them to get better with time and I would say that if anyone is looking to get strong or grow muscle, animal paradise is a great up and coming gym.

Overall a nice gym. I’d like to preface that if targeted machines for specific muscle groups are your thing then this place has it. And over all the machines and bars and racks are top notch gear. If you’re looking for the newest and best in the biz this place is it. However for me it felt more gimmicky than anything.

The amenities are nice posing room sauna etc HOWEVER not having a water fountain in a 77 degree gym is quite the let down especially when it’s that hot and there was barely anybody in there I don’t want to imagine how it feels at max capacity.

It does lack some basics. They have every type of attachment for back although while doing arms I realized there wasn’t a single V bar in sight nor did they have a tricep push down machine which I’ve had at every other gym I’ve gone to.

If aesthetic and equipment alone are what it’s rated on it’d be 10/10 all day I just cannot justify a 70 dollar price tag on that alone where the fit finish snd function isn’t where it needs to be

This is truly a lifters paradise; legitimately the best and newest equipment in abundant amounts. However my only complaint is the cardio equipment; i’ve been to plenty of gyms and this by far has the absolute worst cardio equipment i’ve ever used. Half the treadmills are broken already, if you go anything above 2 mph the treadmills shake; the curved treadmills monitors don’t keep track of the metrics I.e speed distance etc. If they didn’t cut corners with some cardio equipment it would for sure be 5/5 stars

The gym it looks good it has a nice aesthetic and the vibes are good but I feel like the membership is slightly overpriced, for not having a water fountain in the facility. He promised a cold plunge, and a steam room but there still not up. Not all the showers in the locker room are functional. Some of them are still in construction. I heard from a female that their locker room isn’t fully done yet. Some of the equipment feels like it was poorly built. The preacher curl arm rest literally collapsed on me when using it. The gym has a lot of potential but charging 60-70$ for a membership and not having everything working or functional is kinda a rip off.

So this gym has potential to be great but it’s not a great gym yet. The equipment is solid they have a lot of great stuff but there are some things they are lacking. They only have one leg extension machine and to be honest I don’t love it. They could use a sit down preacher curl free weight set up. They do have standing ones but they are awkward in my opinion. Also a lot of the equipment is loose some have bolts ready to fall off someone is gunna get hurt. They need to do a look over of all the equipment. They have a good amount of equipment but it’s cramped walking through the weight room area. They could of utilized the layout better. My favorite part of the gym is the dumbbells they are by far the best Ive ever used. Another issue, by the dumbbell rack the floor is uneven has like a dip that causes me to trip thankfully I haven’t fallen. The locker room could use some matts the tile can be slippery especially if it’s wet. The door going into the bathroom doesn’t not close behind you, you have to close it yourself which is awkward and a pain especially since if it doesn’t close all the urinals are in line with the door. That can make it uncomfortable using the bathroom. All the gyms Ive gone to growing up had water fountains they do not, not a major issue but it would be a lot cooler if they had one. They have a posing room cool but doesn’t really matter to me. Also they have a sauna I don’t use not interested so I can’t really speak on it but the gym friends that have used it aren’t impressed with it. They have a smoothie bar that I also don’t use I make my own stuff. There is a supplement shop I haven’t spent much time in there I don’t see the products I use so I’m not really interested. Overall I like the gym I’ve been going since day one. There is a lot of good stuff but there is also a lot of stuff I wish they had but I am satisfied with most of the gym. I forgot to mention above they have benches with racks to assist with dumbbells that are fantastic and the flat barbell benches are great as well top notch. I haven’t used the cardio equipment so I can’t speak on it.

Whenever I come to visit Vineland I go here now. I can't believe a gym like this exists in this area and never thought it'd be at the mall. I cannot even find anything close to the equipment that they have even in Boston unless I want to pay $350/month.

If anyone has ever watched videos from Bradley Marten's gym in California you'll instantly recognize all of the plate loaded equipment. It's fantastic, plenty of benches, squat racks, similar cloud lightning, but everything in gold.

I really hope more and more people sign up and keep this place going, I would hate to see it go. Hell, I might just even prepay a membership.

I have been going to this gym since they first opened and wanted to wait to leave a review after seeing how things developed. When they first opened it was still under construction so a lot of the amenities were not functional.

Over the course of a month and half I have seen slow, but steady improvements to things that were not complete like the smoothie bar and locker room.

Pros:
-Equipment is hands down best in its class for gyms in the area. There is not only a good volume of equipment, but some unique pieces that you don't get to see at other local gyms like the belt squat machine.
-The early morning culture has been great. It is the same group of people all working to improve and encourage each other.
These are really the only two pros as I see it.

Cons:
-When it comes to operable equipment, there seems to be a lack of maintenance. This is probably a growing pain of a new gym, but treadmills are always broken as well as some other stuff. It would benefit them to have someone maintaining this stuff more diligently.
-The pricing of this gym is more then anyone around, but as i've said it comes with stuff other gyms don't offer. The main issue I feel is the add-ons that should be included with the membership. It seems like they want to nickel and dime for certain features. They also subscribe to a contract style membership to earn certain "exclusive" deals like a discounted rate at the smoothie bar and supplement shop. They do still offer month-to-month which is good. Pricing overall just feels gimmicky.

My overall advice:
This gym has the potential to be great if they can dial in on keeping equipment functional and offer more competitive pricing for add-on features

A 3-star gym with 5-star potential!

The pros of the gym being: the equipment, You are able to get an amazing workout in with the state-of-the-art machines that they advertise. when they say state of the art, they mean it. The staff is very friendly which will help newcomers. They have a sauna set up, and 2 of 5 massage chairs set up, but I digresse. The classroom is set for a more personal feel, and the pose room offers amazing lighting.

The Cons: Returning back to 2of 5 chairs being set up, the gym still is incomplete. The mens bathroom isn't complete, including the showers, locker room, and toilets with 2 stalls being closed, the urinals are right in front of the door that doesn't close on it's own and there are no dividers in place for privacy. The hibernation area is incomplete, and one lat pulldown machine is out of order, as well as the belt squat. The cafe area is not set up. And the sauna area is not finished.

The gym is not worth $60-$70 to start, but it will be and I hope what it's lacking comes quickly, it's more of a $40 gym at the moment (11/4/24). Other than that still a good gym, with a high ceiling of potential!

Awesome gym and great strength training equipment. Cool place to work out with good environment. This is an honest review from a former Marine and hope the staff considers my feedback. I would describe this gym as almost perfect for bodybuilders. There are a few minor thing to be added and finished that would get this gym to that world class status it is aiming for. (It is still 10x better than planet fitness and best gym around)

Strength training side is top notch amazing. Only thing I'd want is another pec dec with weight stack machine.

Cardio workouts are limited. The cardio section is spacious but the treadmills and rowers are few and not great quality. Functional fitness area is almost perfect but missing battle ropes and heavy bag.

Love the couches and pool table. Needs a water fountain. Needs a garbage can by the entrance.

Was fortunate enough to have a friend use guest pass for me to join for a day. Went in with a lot of hope for this gym considering the lack of local options. Initially, I didn't want to give a review cause the gym isn’t complete. There is construction everywhere, it’s dirty with dry wall dust. There is no locker room, and the bathrooms are still under construction, they don’t even have signs telling mens and women’s bathroom. The layout is odd, with mirrors on only one wall you’d think they’d put the free weights by the mirrors instead of the middle of the floor. Just lacks any flow. The lifting equipment is admittedly well made and sturdy and plenty of racks and benches, and wide variety of machines. But other equipment is less than spectacular, the treadmills (all 4 of them) are dangerous, every other foot fall the belt stops and jerks just waiting for a knee injury. One of the sprinters (treadmill where you create the momentum yourself) was broken and its resistance gauge didn’t work. The sauna was something you could have ordered off Amazon, felt cheap considering the cost of membership. At 70$ a month you’re paying for nothing more than photo ops with tacky gold dumbbells and ambiguous golden statues, and gold plated urinals if you’re brave enough. Again, initially didn’t want to leave a review until I found out they are charging full price for a gym that isn’t even complete, as it’s still under significant construction. I can’t give this gym more than one star, knowing what they’re charging while not delivering a complete product.

Lastly, as a side note, the first thing I see in a gym should be the front desk not a random pool table. What even is that?

Top of the line awesome equipment, being impatient will be your only excuse from getting a perfect workout in at any time of the day.
They currently are in a bit of a dirty bulk, so don’t rush the process. If you need things perfectly manicured wait to join or stick to the basic of weights and Cardio.
Also the Massage Chairs are a combo of Massage and compression therapy well worth the upgrade to the membership.

Can’t go wrong with a gym that INSPIRES you to go harder! So far I’m enjoying the equipment, posing room and sauna but still looking forward to joining some classes, getting a massage, trying the cold plunge and tasting the shakes. Looking forward to getting the full experience.

Honestly, this gym looks intimidating and it didn’t sink in until I was halfway there, so I was instantly regretting it. However, my experience has been complete opposite. I signed up for a day pass and was shocked how friendly and welcoming the staff was. Howie showed me around the gym and did such a good job to not make me feel discouraged and made me feel right at home. Full of personality too. Nothing is worse than going to the gym and feeling like everyone is judging you. I’ll be back for sure !!!!

I am so glad to see a place like this in Cumberland county.
The vibes are immaculate.
Everyone is really helpful and supportive. The equipment is fantastic.
Even now while they are still working out the new gym bugs the ownership is very receptive to feedback. The sauna is legit the additional services are amazing. I love the vision. I can't wait to see this place grow! Already canceled my Planet Fitness membership.

Every piece of equipment you could ever need! Including free weights and atleast 10 benches! It’s amazing and so needed in this area! Open until midnight, which is also awesome! The vibe is great and people are actually working out unlike the purple place down the street!! Try it, you won’t regret it!
