I’ve had this gym membership in hopewell for about 3-4 months now and I love it. Getting a workout in is a great feeling but having staff you can depend on is really hard to find and they have such good hospitality. I always have a billing issue but Madison always makes sure that I understand the guidelines of my contract and things that can be done to help my situation. Even though I’ve dealt with a few inconveniences I still believe in them to deliver some of the best customer service that I’ve experienced. So glad to be a member!

(Response to your reply on my recent review) who was I going to tell, the wind? It was 3am and you called the next morning. You’re assuming I wasn’t going to tell you. Learn how to run a gym, what’re you charging maintenance fees for if you’re not gonna use it towards patching a small hole and other small miscellaneous repairs. Were you not prepared for a small hole? I referred numerous people to this location in the past all current members and I will be referring them to the new pf gym instead all of them will chose that over this gym considering how it’s cheaper and that’s all they care about. Stop assuming and be more professional would be my advice, best of luck and hope you learn from this experience.

Charged me $150 just because I dropped a dumbbell and it made a very slight hole in the wall, very concerning considering the fact that they regularly charged maintenance fee along with the membership fees, they should have business insurance not sure why they seem to not have it. Not only did they charge me but they OVERcharged me in an attempt to make a profit. The price is also not worth it for the quality gym it is, if you’re looking for a gym in bridgeton there a pf opening up its wayyy cheaper and 24/7. Don’t recommend this gym at all

Franco is an incredible personal trainer who completely transformed my fitness level! He is incredibly patient with me but definitely pushes me to my limit, he tailors my workouts perfectly to my needs, and always keeps me motivated to reach my goals. I not only saw significant physical improvements but also gained a deeper understanding of proper form and exercise technique. Overall the staff and owner are exceptional! They listen to our wants and needs. Highly recommend coming to this gym! Definitely looks different than before with the renovations!!!

I'm so glad I joined Anytime Fitness in Hopewell Township, NJ. I joined in April 2024 just before the renovations. I am typically there between the hours of 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. There are people of all ages that come in during that time. For first timers or the shy type, this location does not have an intimidating atmosphere.
The staff are all polite and helpful. Franco is my trainer. You can tell he loves his job. He is very helpful and attentive. If an exercise bothers one of my ailing body parts, he is quick to adjust and find a more suitable exercise for my needs.
I would recommend Anytime Fitness on Route 49 in Hopewell Township, Cumberland County, NJ.

Definitely, the gym you want to be at! From the brand new owners who are consistently working hard to improve every aspect of the gym, to the brand new machines & new lay out !! Well sad to say my journey at Anytime Fitness has concluded but I am very grateful for the experience along the way. I have been with this gym for a couple of years now and the only reason why I’m leaving is because I moved within the last year. I can honestly say that I will miss all the perks that came with that purple tag.

I know everyone’s experience will vary but here is my experience from the beginning. My friend took me here to show me around after I expressed interest in getting in better shape. I will say they tried getting me to sign up for a membership rather quickly but I used that to my advantage acting as though I wasn’t interested until I saw other gyms. The owner at the time gave me an offer I could not refuse and I do not regret singing that contract for two years for the price I was given.

If I’m speaking correctly I think the gym changed ownership but at the very least there was a much needed renovation that happened. The gym is new and very clean.

There were many 3am gym visits and many late night stops as well. I absolutely love the fact this place is 24/7 and was a big reason why I didn’t let go of my membership until it was clear that Anytime just didn’t fit into my daily routine anymore.

I never used any of the personal trainers or took any of the classes but I’d recommend anyone of any age to seek guidance from them. They are very knowledgeable and most importantly, very fit! One of the dance instructors was a regular at my old job and she was very pleasant all around.

The gym culture is great! You’ll see people from all different age groups. It’s very inviting and not intimidating, but if people aren’t your thing there are plenty times where the gym feels more empty.

Finally shout out to Madison who made my cancellation process very easy. There was a miscommunication with another worker and I thought the charges would stop after the two year contract was up. After checking my bank statements I was charged a couple times for the membership. I called the gym, where Madison said I had to come in and fill out paperwork to cancel my membership. I now live pretty far away from this club and being a healthcare worker it’s really hard to find a free moment to go out of my way to sign a piece of paper. After giving her my current address information she not only was able to cancel my membership but waived the remaining charges since I haven’t been to the gym in some months now. Thanks again for saving me time and money. Just know that I am not leaving because I am dissatisfied.

I know in todays age there are plenty of gym options to chose from but Anytime Fitness checks off some boxes that others don’t. This club is definitely worth trying out!

I got the instructor Franco Llufire he's a general manager of the place and he's a very good trainer especially to women I noticed as myself. Franco works with you, gives you all kinds of health information and tips, also good deals for your subscription sessions etc he'd privately discuss with you.
Franco is considerate of you and how you work and will recommend what's best for your health and weight goals. Franco explains things thoroughly and he loves his job enough to care to the extremes about his clients having a very nice respectful personality and he will not push you too hard he's there to learn about you and take care of you in there.
When you go in you'll be asked lot of health questionnaire so that your goals and workouts are set up inside and outside the gym then you'll move on to workout consulting and be given session times and workout plans also adjusting your subscription payments etc.

They’re gonna steal your money when you cancel. They will continue to charge your card, sell the place and since they’re all independently owned you’re gonna have to get in contact with the old owner, and no one will help you get in contact with them. ABC fitness “doesn’t have the authority to make refunds” and the club will tell you you have to contact the old owner. I’ve been trying for months to get my money back, talked to everyone, and no one will refund me. Your best bet to get your money back is court. This whole business is a scam. Do not get a membership here and if you do, cancel it and ask to cancel with the current owner. Keep your cancellation paper. And warn everyone. Edit: I was finally able to get my money back through my credit card company Discover, highly recommend them for this .

SCAM ALERT!!! Gym was close to my house but I stopped going because it's just so dirty, the place was falling apart and has no perks what so ever for 3x the monthly payment you would pay at giant or planet. You're told there's perk but then you realize that this gym doesn't even have lockers and those free training sessions are only to make you pay more on top of your already outrageous monthly payment. If your looking to sign up beware this long term contract you sign will have you throwing up. I wish I never set foot in this place I have $410 in collection and can't figure out why? This place is a SCAM. If your reading this and considering signing up don't. Trust me drive an extra 10 minutes to a different gym you won't regret it. To the owner I'm sure the only way your in business still is that outrageous contract you make members sign for an awful gym experience

Overall, I enjoy this gym, especially the accessibility at all hours. I'm a very early person and usually work out between 2 and 4 AM. This morning the 'music' was so loud that I ended up leaving. I want to work out at the gym, not have a concert experience.

Avoid. Unprofessional management and franchise owner that act totally desperate for money. When you cancel your membership after eight years theyll continue to attempt to bill you, and the owner will scream at you on the phone before finally accepting the terms of their own contract. This seems to be a pattern as other reviewers mention the same behavior. There's no reason to subject yourself to this nonsense. Locals should consider MaxxFit, which is owned locally and has great staff and better equipment.

My son has not been there in almost 9 months and before he was there maybe twice before the covid 19 hit and now several months later they want to charge without any notification of being open for business and when I called the place of business he was very rude and gave me another number to call and he said he was the owner who sounded like he was 15 years old and very rude and arrogant.....I would not recommend this place at all

Update, 2/12/19: They’ve really improved the place. Equipment gets fixed. Place is cleaner. Wife is enjoying working with her trainer, Heather. We’re glad we stuck it out. Giving them a fourth star.

At first the place was often in need of cleaning and the staff, when present, were not very professional. Over the course of the last three months, they have been making improvements, so I am hoping the trend continues.

First experience there was pretty good me and my wife signed up for 3 months. My contract expires I stopped going. My wife wants to continue so I went in to sign another 3 month contract. I paid cash for it signed it and left. They asked me for my debit card which I was a little confused on why they would need that if I was paying cash for the contract. I was told they needed it just to be on file. Well now I am assuming my wife's contract was over and I am being billed for a yearly contract. They said I just paid cash for a promotional fee. And actually signed a one year contract which there now drawing from my checking account. So be careful dealing With there New VP Brandon he told me himself personally it's his job to get you to sign a one year contract.

Manger Brandon was very disrespectful towards me on the evening of 11/19/2018. I'm trying to ask questions about putting my accounts on hold due to medical issues, he kept saying I'm angry, I wasn't angry its called getting clarification of the process to put my account on hold. Did I mention I had a signed doctor's note. I stated not every black woman that ask questions is angry. He said to me in a deep angry tone to get out not once but twice. I walk myself out the door. Did I mention prior to walking out I ask to speak with the owner but Brandon stated the owner doesn't want to speak with me. I pay $32 and some changes along with $160 a month for the personal training sessions. This is what they call great customer service Wow! People that know me knows that's not my character to be angry! I'll take the ride to Millville to Planet Fitness!

The gym itself wasn't too bad but the billing service sucked. I moved outside of the range of their gym so as per the contract I was able to cancel my subscription. They made it extremely difficult to cancel, but I was finally able to cancel it. I called to confirm that my account was canceled and the manager there at the time said I would not be charged for the next month. When the next month came around I was charged again. I called them back looking for a refund and they said my account was still saying pending cancellation so they could not refund me my money. This manager also said I will not be charged for the next month, but I guess we will see when the time comes.
