My daughter and son had very little experience going into this program. As beginners they learned the appropriate craft to succeed in aerial arts and contortion. They were also taught appropriate stretching which helped their overall mobility. My daughter is now much more confident in herself, she is more aware of her movement and strength. My son has developed stronger core strength which helps with his other sports. Coach Liza and Danila are very patient, they make all classes fun and are very passionate of their arts. They want the children to progress at their own pace and work hard to make it a successful, enjoyable class for all. I highly recommend for all children.

My daughter’s confidence and love of dance/contortion has grown since I enrolled her in Black and Yellow Dance and Circus School. We did a trial and unfortunately with the amount of children in the class, there isn’t enough supervision being there is only one teacher for a large group so my daughter (who is a beginner in contortion and was not asked her abilities by the teacher prior to requesting she do a move) hurt herself, that would be my only honest concern. There was a lack of structure due to this. We were considering this place for summer camp but I just don’t trust that there would be enough supervision for the students. The place itself is very nice and clean which I did like and the displays of the student’s accomplishments are all over the wall which was nice to see but we will not be going back.

Update: the owner then messages me after I write a 3 star review to say that I didn’t need to write them a bad review. I’m sorry but stay away from here! Didn’t even ask if my daughter was ok. Changed my rating to 1 star because the lack of care is ridiculous! Get more experienced staff to handle your establishment and show care in potential clients.

They also contacted all the parents to write positive reviews after my very real review so that they can bring up the rankings! Check Yelp!!!!!

Thank you Liza, Danila and all coaches truly for embracing each child's creativity and pushing them to keep getting better until they recognize their potential. When they do, it is beautiful to watch their excitement and sense of pride in their hard work. My daughter has been part of Black and Yellow a few years now and loves being there with other kids who have become like family. They bond over being a part of this unique special place. My daughter loves the school, she has a lot of fun and she has learned so much, she has become very flexible, the teachers are very creative and trustworthy, they inject passion and creativity on the children, my daughter is so passionate about the contortion she teaches it to her cousins and friends. We actually installed a silk rope inside the house for her, she spends hrs in it. She did gymnastics before but after finding this school she left it, this school combines contorcion, aerial silk, robotic dances and more. We are very happy here

I can't say enough great things about this dance and contortion school! Coaches Liza and Danila truly teach with their heart and soul, creating an environment where kids not only learn but thrive. In just 7 months, my daughter has made incredible progress—she can do splits, cartwheels, and all sorts of impressive bends. And the cherry on top? She’s dancing, having fun, and loving every moment!

What I appreciate most is the positive and encouraging atmosphere. The coaches are dedicated, patient, and know how to bring out the best in every child. My daughter looks forward to every class with excitement, which speaks volumes about the passion and care put into this school.

Although this place is really cute, my concern going in was the student to teacher ratio. There was approximately 20 or more students in this class with 1 teacher. Sitting outside the room I heard a lot of screaming and yelling from the students which clearly the teacher was unable to contain. Considering the raving reviews on Google, we decided to give it a try but upon further review, yelp is where the truth lies. These people care about the business making money and not the students clearly.

Exceptionally talented and knowledgeable instructors. We asked for help with our wedding first dance and they went above and beyond. They helped a lot with creating a routine and make sure everything lines up well. We were completely novice but they were very patient and it came out really great. They were a pleasure to work with, and the pricing was great too. We really enjoyed being able to rehearse at their studio several times as well as once at our wedding venue. They apparently offer event entertainment that seemed great, but for us we just didn’t have any time in the schedule for that. Thank you so much for all the help!

I wanted to schedule a private lesson for my girlfriend. Black & Yellow Dance and Circus School was responsive, and was able to organize exactly what I needed. The lesson was excellent! Great school, great teachers. My fist Lyra class was amazing. I thought it’s not hard, but it’s super hard lol. But with teacher Liza everything was perfect🤩 She showed me everything in details which made me comfortable to repeat it. And, the main thing it was FUN and time flew so fast. My daughter started taking contortion and dance classes at Black and Yellow in February. In 5 short months she has gone from a shy girl shaking and crying before class because she was so nervous to getting up and performing in front of huge groups of strangers. She looks forward to each class and stays engaged the entire time. Miss Liza does a great job at balancing work and fun. Black and yellow is more than just a dance school, it’s a family. The teachers are top notch, providing a unique environment that stimulates the kids in many ways. We plan to join more classes soon!

Mrs. Liza is great motivator with a great fun friendly personality. We have found this place during one of their classes in a park and my daughter observed for a bit and decided she wants to give a try. Surely she asked if she could join and loved it since. B&Y School provides intro and advance training to kids in Contortion and Dub Step Dance. If you are looking for fall activities for your kids then this is definitely an option. I recommend.
