I started going to Motown in January of 2025 at an out of shape 260lbs. In 2024 I had shoulder surgery in March and my weight ballooned when I couldn’t workout. I knew I needed a change and I have done 60 classes since the start of the year and now I am weighing at 220lbs. This wouldn’t be possible without the great coaches at Motown and I recommend this program to anyone that wants to get in great shape.

I joined here about 1.5 years ago after moving to the area. I had attended two other x-fit gyms in my previous location. This gym has been the best by far. Well-equipped gym with knowledgeable coaches that support a wide range of experience levels from beginners to those training to go to the x-fit finals. This gym is welcoming, but no nonsense, and I would recommend it to anyone who just wants to try x-fit or is a seasoned athlete.

This place, the coaches and their philosophy behind getting you to move is just amazing. I joined at the tender age of 50 yrs old with a little coaxing from my dear friend who didn’t want to do it alone and not to mention at the age where my body was going through changes I couldn’t control. 🥵🥶. CF Motown helped me take back some of that control and I’m now 6years later I’m doing things I don’t think I could’ve imagine were possible. Added bonus I’ve meet some amazing people in this community and they’re my extended family.

I've joined three different Y's and numerous gyms, typically at the start of a new year, and my workouts start with great expectations. Within 2 to 4 months every location faded out of my weekly routine and my "out of shape blues" returned until the next new year. Then my wife dragged me (kicking and screaming) to Crossfit Morristown. That was 8 years ago! Now I can't get enough and attend 3 to 6 classes a week. This is a totally different environment for fitness. Each class provides a well trained coach that warms you up properly, provide detailed instructions for a wide variety of different strength movements and workouts. The coaches will scale the workouts to an individual's ability, age, etc. And the members are the best...friendly, supportive and like minded when it comes to fitness. The combination of great coaches and members at Crossfit Morristown brings out your best effort each workout. This place deserves more than 5 stars!

I joined Motown just a little over a year ago with my husband and a 16 year-old son and we absolutely love it. It came highly recommended by several friends of ours that have been members for over a decade and I only wish we joined sooner. It really changed my whole outlook and attitude about exercise. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and prioritize form and safety, but also constantly challenge us to get stronger and braver. Members are extremely encouraging and motivating. Expect to have support of a great community of people when you join.

Best gym around! Can’t say I ever expected to enjoy CrossFit as much as I do but the coaches, classes, and members make it all possible. I had never lifted weights prior to joining and they have made it approachable and fun. Facilities and programming are constantly evolving and improving to make your membership feel valued.

I joined Motown last summer and I have nothing but positive things to say! I had little weight lifting experience and the coaches and other members are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They really focus on teaching proper form and making sure people are staying safe and challenging themselves to get stronger. I have tried other non traditional gyms (cycling/F45) and I have never felt healthier and stronger working out at Motown. If you never have done CrossFit I highly reccomend you try it at Motown because the instructors and programming of the classes are amazing.

This gym changed my life! I walked in with 0 CrossFit experience a few years ago and never looked back. They will teach you everything! And you'll make great friends along the way.
The coaches are inspiring, energetic and knowledgeable. The gym recently underwent an ownership change and while there was nothing wrong before, the place has been spruced up and the new environment is great to be in!
Even if you've stopped in before, consider checking it out again to see how things have changed!

Good CrossFit gym, dropped in from Florida. I’ll be back. The coach that was there was good, I believe she said she just started there a month ago but she had years of CrossFit experience as a coach. The members were very welcoming as well. Definitely a challenging wod which I appreciate.

Caring coaches, thoughtful workouts and welcoming members. Every single coach I’ve worked with is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive whether the class is 4 people or 40. The daily workouts are thoughtful and scalable, and scaling is welcomed here which is so appreciated! I never thought I’d be able to do a double under or a pull-up but after about 18months coming to classes and workouts, I can. My partner and I love the community at Motown and we’re grateful we joined. Shoutout to K and all of the coaches!

Nice facility with a lot of gear. I like the layout they have for sure. I didn’t like that they didn’t really allow open gym and you had to take the class. The classes were stacked right on top of each other, so you were basically in and out from start to finish. The workout plan was good and the workout was definitely challenging. The coach could use a bit more fire, but all was good once the workout was underway. The staff was responsive by email. I would recommend this place if you’re in the area. Unfortunately I don’t live near here and was only visiting.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Bill and Karianne and you will not find more dedicated people that make you feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. Even as a marathoner, I never thought I could do a box jump, never thought I could do more than a pull-up or two, and the team at CF Motown made me feel confident from day one. I joined CrossFit Morristown almost six months ago. I was at first a little intimidated with the reputation of CrossFit for a very challenging workout. I did not know if I could fit in, or keep up. Six months later I can say that it was really never an issue. From day 1, the very talented coaching staff makes every member feel great about what they can do, and the progress they make. While I still may not be even close to one of the best, or strongest, or fittest, I make progress every day and I get more excited about it as time passes.
And the owners, Karianne and Bill are amazing. They care deeply about every member, and the community as a whole. Great role models, and super people. I am thankful I found them!

I have been an active member for the past 6 months of CrossFit Motown and I can say that is one of the best Crossfit Gyms I have ever been to. As a single mom I can say that Motown has welcomed not only me but my 5 year old as well, I bring my son to the gym EVERYDAY and the community, owners Bill and Karianne Athens, all coaches have been super supportive amicable and just extraordinary. Their programing is on point for all fitness levels, the equipment is great. Thanks to all the coaches along with my determination I have achieved many of my fitness Goals... I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I highly recommended it!!

I once read, “When someone is attempting to save their life” Crossfit offers “support and supervision.” Crossfit Morristown excels at this and takes it a step further. The coaches are not only trained and competent. Their love and passion permeates through the class. It enriches our experience. It’s a reflection of true leadership from Bill and Karianne, the owners. In encouraging their members to live a balance healthy life, they bring workshops and seminars from the local community to help educated their members. The care and cleanliness of their facility is like no other. No matter the skill level... No matter ones level of fitness... everyone’s is welcomed and workouts are modified to meet ones needs. I’ve been a member for 10 months. This is my first experience doing CrossFit and it’s been amazing. I love this place.

CrossFit MoTown is one the best gyms I've ever belonged to and it is run by two stand-up individuals, Bill and Karianne Anthes. Bill and K are very generous with their time, expertise and resources and they both go to great lengths to make sure all members and prospective members have the best experience possible. The facility has great equipment, the instructors are very encouraging and the environment is very supportive.
