I've been going to Femme for a little over a year now and my review is overdue. I've been training with Crystal. She's younger than me but she's my gym mommy <3 who really cares about my goals and she has so much technical knowledge. She is so strong and badass - I love it! The gym is clean and other members are so considerate and all the trainers are so very nice and welcoming. I love that everyone comes from different ages (people in their 70s to people in their 20s) and from different backgrounds - it's really a nice, cozy community where Tara and Kiki and the lovely front ladies know your face and name. There's no judgement here. I've also taken classes taught by Crystal, Glenda, Kim, Crys, Debbie, and Audrey and have enjoyed them all. I've had two family members join Femme and they've been loving it too. You don't know what you've been missing out on until you join Femme!

I joined femme 6 months ago and have had such a great experience! I started as a total newbie and took many classes with the amazing instructors. The other gym members were always so helpful in helping me with setting up my station and equipment for classes when I was new 💖 I also did small group training with Crystal! It was an amazing way to grow in strength and push past my comfort zone. I l received personalized attention and guidance with accountability partners too! It’s clear that there is a high bar for excellence at femme. When I first walked into Femme a few months ago I was overwhelmed with grief and looking for a way to find some peace for my daughter and I. From the very first day, the staff and community embraced us with open arms and genuine compassion.

Kiki the front desk manager is super amazing, always helpful, kind, professional and ready to support everyone. She is a multi tasking Queen.
Crystal our trainer is an incredible trainer. She is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping you achieve your fitness goals.

Small group with Crystal is one of my favorite features of the gym. She is energetic and motivational, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere.

What truly sets Femme apart is its community. The sense of belonging and support from the staff, but also from fellow members turned the gym into my sanctuary. The friendships I've formed here are genuine and have been instrumental in helping me navigate through my difficult times.

I signed up for this gym earlier this month and have only gone twice because of how disrespectful the staff are. From the very beginning, one of the employees constantly had an attitude with me, even over something as simple as buying a drink. I have no idea why she singled me out, but it left such a bad impression that I stopped going altogether and requested to cancel my membership.

For weeks I have been trying to get in contact with the manager. Every time I call, I am told to call back when she is “in,” but when I do she is never available. Today I finally had enough and demanded to either speak to her or be given her number. Instead, the girl at the desk named Kiki put me on hold, then came back pretending to be the manager herself. That is flat-out lying to a customer. The employees here are unprofessional, dishonest, and show no respect whatsoever.

The so-called manager is even worse. I have yet to speak to her once because she is apparently never around. When my husband called on my behalf, they treated him the same way by putting him on hold instead of helping. Not long after that call, I suddenly received five emails at 3:47pm demanding payment. Normally they only email me early in the morning, so it is obvious this was done out of spite. That is petty and completely unprofessional.

This gym is a joke. The staff lie, the manager is nowhere to be found, and they care more about harassing members for money than treating people with respect. Do not waste your time or money here.

Overall the gym is clean and everything is new.
Some instructors are definitely nicer than others while some stare at you the whole time and judge.
Some members are happy and some are miserable and judgemental too.
This is an extremely small space to work out so if you are big on energy interactions I would choose wisely. A LOT of judging going on hence the fact this is supposed to be a judgment free zone.
The idea of joining a women's only gym was to run from the chaos at big box gyms. I don't think this is the vibe here at all.
Sad but true. Overall not a bad gym. Ample parking and good customer service at the front desk. I hope management can decide what employees should stay or be fired based on their enthusiasm to be at this gym and read on energy (your members can feel it ).

Femme a fitness facility for women only. I got a tour of the place it was clean and few years ago remodeled. I wanted to join, did all the paperwork etc but decided not to when I noticed how complicated it was to take a class… you have to reserve spot, I understand, place is small. If you’re late 5 minutes there’s a charge, if you can’t make it to class you have a timeframe to cancel or you get charged a fine. I texted them and told them that I would not join on account of this. Imagine with the traffic here you’re late 5 minutes you have to pay a fine? Too stressful 😣 decided not to join.

Today’s Zumba class with Lama Alassil felt like an international dance party — one minute you’re in Brazil, next you’re in Spain and in the Middle East. It’s not just a workout, it’s therapy. Lama is so sweet and welcoming. No one ever feels left out with her. Her energy is contagious, her smile lights up everyone’s heart, and her playlist is a passport to happiness. Every song brings a new vibe and a new country to dance in. You leave a different person,sweaty, smiling, and happier than when you walked in.

Lama’s Zumba class is therapy, all you need is to show up and she will put the smile on your face.

Literally my favorite gym ever! as a woman who practices modesty and the hijab, this gym is super discrete and welcoming of alll friendly faces. They’re super sensitive to the privacy of all members and over all just a friendly staff. i feel super comfortable to dress how I please without the glaring stares of men, and general judgment. Femme has transformed my fitness experience and made it super easy for me to form a routine. Recently moved to Nj and one of my favorite things so far is the femme gym! The classes are so great! Kim kicks your butt and gives a full body nonstop workout while rotating between muscle groups. She clearly has a lot of teaching experience and designs her class in a very thought out way to utilize the full hour workout and hit each muscle group but allow for muscle recovery by rotating between upper body, lower body, abs and cardio. Kara’s 305 fitness class is a legit party you forget you’re sweating because it’s just so fun and non-pressuring. Would recommend to anyone. I have plenty of gyms closer to me but drive the 20 minutes because nowhere has such a great variety of quality classes. The front staff is also so warm and friendly and remembers you by name even though I’m new. Really love it!

I recently visited the all-female gym, Femme in Hackensack NJ, and unfortunately, I had a very negative experience. The gym itself was quite dirty and unkempt, with sweaty equipment lying around and a distinct odor in the air.

However, what made me even more uncomfortable were the rude and judgmental stares I received from some of the members. I felt like an outsider and unwelcome in their space. It was clear that there was a clique of regulars who made it their mission to make newcomers feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

I found it disappointing that a gym that claims to be a safe and inclusive space for women would tolerate such behavior from its members. As someone who values respect and kindness in all aspects of life, I was deeply disappointed by the lack of courtesy and friendliness shown by the gym's patrons.

Overall, I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a supportive and welcoming fitness community. The environment was unpleasant, and I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout my entire visit.

I had been a member of Femme for 9 years and I absolutely loved it, until the management changed recently. Tara was really nice *until* there was an actual issue that needed to be solved. I hate saying it but I have never encountered such an unprofessional and unethical person who crosses all limits for money. I didn't need even a dollar to be refunded, but needed a respectable considerate customer service experience. Not the service where after being a member for 9 years, I am told that she,Tara, only wants members she is "comfortable" with and it's better for me to just "leave the gym."
I went for vacation and froze my gym membership for a few months.They lost my freeze form, and
kept charging me, which added up to almost $500 on my credit card. When I went to Femme, I was surprised and heartbroken by the way Tara responded by accusing and insulting me (I have witnesses for that). she started writing everything that was coming out of my mouth, (like a lawyer), making it feel like an interrogation, asking me if I was "sleeping for months" because I didn't realize my credit card was being charged. I would have to write an essay if I mention all the things she said, that just shocked me. Long story short, management is polite until you encounter an issue. They will tell you to your face to get out, after a decade of membership. sorry Femme, but people deserve much better if they are paying $65+ every month, instead of $20 in other gyms.

They really make the gym feel like your second home. Everyone is very welcoming and they acknowledge every single holiday! Never leaving my second home :)) The two years at femme have been nothing but happy and comfortable for me. I met many amazing people and had amazing personal training sessions. The workouts my trainer had taught me are still included in my workouts today since they were so helpful! They do many monthly deals so always check that out.

I’m so glad to have found Femme! The monthly membership is a great price and I love being able to workout with only women who are friendly and encouraging. I take 3 group classes every week and I always feel challenged yet supported afterwards. I had been searching for a quality gym for a while and am so glad I found this one. Such a lovely uplifting community! The classes are spectacular. I always look forward to my morning workouts (although I’m generally not a morning person), but the vibe here is always so jovial. Judgment-free zone. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help in any capacity- even if it’s simply providing an extra hair tie. They even offer massage and facial services, which I have found to be extremely helpful for achey sore muscles. So happy I found this gym and am now part of the Femme Fam. Joining this facility has been so beneficial to both my mental and physical health. Looking forward to continuing my membership for years to come.

I have been going to Femme over a year now. The atmosphere is incredible. You walk in and are always greeted with a smile. The gym itself has all the equipment you could need and they always are improving/upgrading the machines. I enjoy showing up to classes daily due to the incredible people you get to work out with. The instructors are all so talented and are great with all levels of experience! I couldn't recommend this gym more.. especially if you struggle with gym anxiety and need a place you will feel comfortable.. this is the place!

I have been a member of Femme Fitness since March 2018. My first rating was 5 stars and my rating has not changed. The staff and instructors at Femme Fitness are top notch. I started coming here since early 2021 because they have so many variety of classes from Barre, HIIT to Zumba. They also hire the BEST instructors and trainers in the area. (we still need to get the Zumba instructor, Jane here) I absolutely love all the classes they offer and that is why I keep coming here.
It was hard for me to leave the 24 hour fitness after going there for over 5 years because I've made great friends there over the years. But I needed a different routine and new classes and I don't regret moving to Femme fitness. Everyone is kind and takes good care of equipment. It is very clean and pleasant. In other places, if you dress certain ways, some people may think and say that you are doing it to please others. But not at Femme. It is Women's only. Whatever you wear or you do, you are doing it for yourself not for others. Who cares? No one will judge you. Be free and be the best of yourself here.

Femme makes me happy! I start my weekends with a Saturday morning workout. It’s clean, has great new equipment and such friendly girls at the front desk!

I train at Femme with Kim Turi. She puts her all into helping me reach my goals. Her expert knowledge has really helped me in my journey to be healthy and fit. In addition to fitness, she also knows a great deal about nutrition. I even hear her in my head when I am making food choices!

I am so happy that I found Femme. It’s such a warm and friendly environment. I look forward to being a lifetime member!

Don’t let the small exterior fool you, this gym has a good amount of amenities for its size and is one of the best women’s only gym out there.

It’s has a large mirrored studio where they hold their classes, led by experienced trainers. They have a variety of classes for all ages - whether it be Zumba, strength training or yoga - it’s always leaves you challenged and feeling great afterwards!

There’s also a separate room studio room which has a rack and rowing machine. Then you have the main room which has their cardio machines, cable machines, leg press and smith machine. To my surprise it also had a heavy bag!

The atmosphere is wonderful - every person I’ve met at the gym has always been so encouraging and respectful. They practice good gym etiquette by cleaning their equipment and re-racking their weights - I haven’t felt judged once at this gym. I also feel safe and comfortable knowing that it’s an only women’s gym due to bad experiences I’ve had at other gyms.

The staff is also very attentive and kind - they always let us know beforehand if a man has to come in to fix the equipment or make a delivery. They’re also friendly and very encouraging, they've even motivated me on some of my lifts.

If you’re looking for an only women’s gym, I highly recommend this establishment!

This gym is incredible!! If you’re hesitant, like I was, come for the one day pass and check it out for yourself.
There’s a lot of different type of equipment so you can get a great work out and the place is extremely clean. I’ve never taken a class but heard really good things. It seems like the ladies in there have a fun time.
My favorite part is the culture. The women are friendly and respectful. I never enjoyed a gym experience more. The staff is awesome and everyone supports each other.
I don’t think any other surrounding gyms can compare to Femme. Check it out!

My first impression of femme is that it’s super clean and the staff is so welcoming! The facility is equipped with up to date equipment, and the classes were packed and looked like a lot of fun. While touring the gym, the women who are already established were saying hello and vouching for the facility! Femme is by far the cleanest gym I’ve ever gone to. It doesn’t even have that thick musty gym smell most commercial gyms have. The vibe in there is so cute and motivating even. It makes you want to work out 😂 The locker room/shower room feels so comfortable. Enough to make you actually want to shower at a gym lol. I was sold the second I walked in! My zumba instructor, Sarah started teaching at Femme during the pandemic. I was so happy I finally could take her class in person. After taking her class I immediately decided to join the gym because the place was very clean and everything seemed well cared for. I felt safe there. Since then It has been a great place for me to workout. I like to take classes like Barre, HIIT, and yoga because the instructors are amazing. Especially their zumba instructors are the best you can find in NJ. The staff and the owner Tara are very friendly and extremely helpful. They message you when there is a change in class schedule. No other gym provides such attention to gym members based on my experiences. Members are very welcoming and supportive toward each other and I felt at home right away. Femme provides safe and supportive environment for women to workout and I am so glad to have found this place.

I joined this gym in my venture to find an all women’s gym. I give it a 9/10! The staff is amazing & so friendly, the facility is always very clean & they offer robust package options (personal training sessions only, gym membership only, class packs only, or a mix of all the above!). Docking them one point ONLY because the gym is fairly small & it is a bit pricey. I do personal training with the amazing Glenda twice a week and after 4 weeks I already feel a huge difference. I’m so happy to have found this gem & id highly recommend it!

Heard about this gem from a friend and was so excited to see that there was an all women’s gym in the area. As a young woman I was extremely happy to find out about this place. However, about five minutes after signing up for the day pass, someone called me asking when I wanted to use my day pass. it caught me off guard because I was definitely not expecting to be called within five minutes, even less, about a day pass. I continue to get emails over and over again asking when I wanted to come in and use my day pass. I then saw that I got another email today talking about how they couldn’t get in contact with me. It is extremely annoying and overbearing at the fact that I wanted to sign up for a gym where I feel comfortable and it made me feel the exact opposite. I will not be going there.

I had a family emergency, and I spoke to the owner Tara who said that she would hold my last paid training sessions free of charge until I came back; I did come back and tried to use up my training sessions. Still, the trainer that I had was unable to meet my scheduled times, which is understandable. Then I tried to work with another trainer, and she was great. However, I was never informed that my sessions were taken away and that I had to pay for this session. Tara and the trainers, as well as workers, failed to notify me of this and charged me anyway because I saw the charge in my account. The lady that works at the front desk, Aisha, told me that I was being charged and I had no more training sessions. They stolen from me 3 sessions and still charged me 55$. They can keep the 55$, this is not loyalty. They also do not have enough machines for a woman in this woman's gym! I will finish my month and never return. I'm not too fond of miscommunication.

I started going to Femme during the pandemic and the environment was always kept clean and safe. The members and the staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Tara the owner always puts the members first in every situation. I am a total Zumba fan and they have the best Zumba instructor and Kim is a superwoman who makes sure to work on every muscle you have in your body. I hated going to the gym before but once I signed up to this gym end of October and I have taken 166 classes because their classes are amazing.

This gym is incredible- every time I'm there I never want to leave. The staff members I've interacted with are super friendly, highly motivating, and always helpful. The classes I've attended are awesome-I find myself amazed at how much I feel the workout in my body the next day... sometimes without even realizing that I had worked so hard in the class! I love the Zumba classes and instructors (I'm hoping for a Zumba class to be added on Fridays!) The facility is clean and nice. I wish my schedule allowed me to spend more time there!

Dynaaaamic front desk service, and even the manager was extremely kind! I was in route to another gym for a tour, and slowly drove by curious as to what this was... one of the front desk ladies kindly came out and waved (commeee on iiinnn) lol.
