The community at 5Q is unmatched and the accountability helps me show up as well as compete at a high level.

With their guidance, I have qualified to compete in the world championships in 3 events Deka Fit, Deka Mile, & Deka Strong Ruck. I train in classes and in individual personal training sessions there at 5Q with Coach Gladys or Coach Colin.

Coach G., Coach C. and all the Coaches at fifth quarter care about their members and adapt movements as needed. It makes fitness fun for all levels. The energy is contagious. 5Q is a home for me and I've grown stronger as an individual and athlete since I've trained at 5Q. Highly recommend 5Q

Fifth Quarter is Amazing! I moved to the area in May and was struggling to find a gym I hate commercial gyms. So glad I found Fifth Quarter. I signed up for a free trial class and finished the class knowing that this was the right place for me. I have a long way to go in my weight loss journey and never felt like an outsider at Fifth Quarter the coaches are great and very personable. The gains and athletic knowledge for my son have beyond met our expectations. In the beginning I thought it would be a chore for my son too participate.
Now he is usually out the door and in the car before I am. He now has his routine, walks in, warms up and right to business. He utilizes both 1:1 training and group sessions with either Coach Brad and or Coach Jeff. I love that the goal here is to produce young athletes into next level athletes. As we are a year round football family, they will focus on many sport specific training.
I highly recommend Fifth Quarter too as many family’s as I can, as I am to whoever reads this review.

I do not utilize any of the adult classes but I see there are numerous with a large following.

The facility is always freshly clean and well organized.

Here’s how I really feel:
I want to start by thanking Coach Brad, the owner, for creating such a positive and welcoming environment. His dedication to his members and his ability to listen, adapt, and grow the gym has made Fifth Quarter a truly special place. This isn’t just a gym where you come to work out—it’s a space where people of all backgrounds come together, push themselves, and become the best version of themselves.

When I first signed up for the one-month special, I had no idea that two years later, I’d still be here, stronger, more confident, and actually enjoying my workouts! I initially joined because I dreaded doing cardio on my own, and I thought the HIIT Bootcamp classes would help keep me accountable. Not only did these classes force me to do cardio, but they made me actually enjoy working out. Now, I can’t imagine my life without them!

A huge thank you to my personal trainer, Coach Maiya, who has been with me through all the ups and downs. She has held me accountable even on the days, weeks, or months I thought I couldn’t keep going. From Glute Camp where she helps us grow our booties to our personal training sessions, she has changed the way I see fitness and my body. Maiya, your belief in me has pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of, and I am forever grateful for you!

Fifth Quarter is home to the best of the best, and that includes an incredible lineup of coaches:
• Coach Colin – The ultimate hype man! The best in the game! He makes sure you get your full set in while throwing it back to the best early 2000s / 90’s playlist.
• Coach Gladys – She refuses to let your potential go to waste! If she sees greatness in you, she will make sure you show up and show out. Her motivation is unmatched! You’ll have to sign up to see what I’m talking about!
• Coach Eli – His workouts will have you re-evaluating your life decisions, but somehow, you’ll keep coming back for more! His energy is absolutely unmatched.
• Coach John – The form police! He makes sure you do every rep with proper form and challenges you to push harder every time.
• Coach Devonte – He pushes you past your limits, all while making you feel like you’re in the club with his fire playlist!
• Coach Lian – Fifth Quarter’s very own yoga guru! She introduced me to yoga, and now, Sundays on the mat have become an essential part of my week. She also brings her magic to the “dance floors” for Bootcamp and Barbell Club, making every class a challenge and a celebration and feeling like you’re at a family BBQ with the music & Vibes!

To Coach Brad and Coach Maiya—thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating a safe space, a positive environment, and a family. Fifth Quarter isn’t just a gym; it’s a place where people come to grow, support each other, and thrive.

Went for a pop-up Glutes class. Great one-stop gym. Has everything you need to transform, lose weight or maintain under one roof. The coaches and members have a great bond. I have been with 5Q for over a year. I was also an on and off gym goer at other places but at 5th Q i have been consistently here daily. They provide an environment that makes working out fun and enjoyable. They create such a family vibe and all the coaches want you to succeed. The classes give you the cardio and strength training (Mon - Sat) to meet all your fitness goals. They are open 7 days a week where Sundays are all about Yoga and Glutes! Fifth Quarter Athletics and Training is a fantastic one-stop-shop for your health and wellness needs. Conveniently located in Garwood, New Jersey, and within arm's reach of Cranford, Clark, Scotch Plains, and Westfield.

I first encountered Fifth Quarter in 2022 when I dropped in for their group fitness classes and had the pleasure of meeting Coach Brad. Upon entering the gym, the cleanliness of the facility immediately catches your attention. The classes are high-energy, high-intensity, and enjoyable. Expect a variety of bodyweight movements with battle ropes, kettlebells, dumbbells, barbells, rowers, assault bikes, and ski-ergs. They offer multiple classes throughout the morning and evening to accommodate your busy schedule.

If group fitness isn't your preference, they provide personal training tailored to your individual fitness needs.

For those with kids in sports, Fifth Quarter offers various youth conditioning classes that can enhance your young athlete's speed, coordination, agility, and change in direction. This not only boosts their confidence but also keeps them in shape during the off-season.

Having had the pleasure of conducting workshops for the Fifth Quarter Community, I can proudly say that I've been the in-house physical therapist for the past 6 months.

The coaches and community are best described as down-to-earth and friendly.

If you're hesitant about taking the leap, I highly recommend giving Fifth Quarter Athletics and Training a try. There's no better investment than in your personal health.

This was first time working out in a very long time. I'm extremely out of shape. I took the 9:15 am Boot camp class. The instructor was very patient with me and extremely encouraging. This is a great place for Boot Camp training. All the trainers are excellent and Personal Training is also very good. They even have Parisi Speed School for kids of all ages. The circuits workouts definitely challenges you to higher levels putting your strength and resistance to the test. I’ve struggled so much with maintaining my weight loss. I continue to lose weight and then gain it right back again after a year or so. A friend asked me one day to attend a boot camp with her and that is when I was introduced to Brad. This was a year and half ago. I’ve worked with trainers before but none like Brad. He cares about your well being. If you’re slacking he checks in with you. “This is not just a right now thing, but a life time thing”, which is what he tells me all the time. He stands by his mission, which is to maintain and attain. I started to slack when I got my promotion at work and he made sure to work around my crazy schedule to get me in the gym. I’ve lost 30 plus pounds working out with Brad and having him as my personal trainer. This is just the beginning. I would recommend Brad 100 percent, if you’re looking for a lifestyle change and need help with getting on the right workout path.
