Mike is such an amazing personal trainer! He’s incredibly knowledgeable about training and fitness, always supportive, motivating, and fully attentive during every session. I honestly don’t think I would have stayed consistent with my workouts for this long without him. I really appreciate how he gives his full attention during each workout, tracks my progress, and follows up afterwards. He’s also extremely punctual and keeps the training schedule well organized. Highly recommend Mike to anyone who wants a trainer that truly delivers results and cares about your progress.

I've been training with Michael for over a year now, and I truly can’t recommend him enough. In that time, I’ve lost 15 pounds, gained muscle, and—most importantly—built a routine I genuinely look forward to. Michael is not only incredibly knowledgeable and effective as a trainer, but he's also friendly, flexible, and easy to talk to. He creates a comfortable and motivating environment that makes every session feel personal and productive. One of the things I appreciate most is the peace of mind that comes from being able to fully trust him with the planning and structure of my fitness. I've had the pleasure of working with Mike for nearly a year, and without any exaggeration, he's changed my life for the better.
As a bigger guy (6'5/300+), I've struggled with managing my overall fitness as well as maintaining consistent motivation to work out regularly. Mike has not only developed a plan specifically for my body's needs and strengths, but also has supported me in changing my less than ideal habits that were getting in the way of improving my overall health.

Amazing trainer!!
I have been training with Michael for two years now. He is professional, thoughtful, and a genuinely good person. For me, weight training is more of a habit in life. I want it to be fun and stress-free. Michael helped me tailor the training sessions to fit my needs and physical condition. I trust him completely on designing the program for me.
In addition, he is well organized and detail-orientated, which made my life a lot easier without having to constantly keep track of my progress.

Working with Mike has been such a game changer for my husband and I on our fitness journeys. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis last year and really struggled to move the needle on my goals and lose the weight I had gained as a result of the thyroid issues, a sedentary lifestyle, and lack of consistency. Exceptional Personal Trainer – Highly Recommended!
I have been training with Michael for several months now, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed! His expertise in fitness is truly top-notch. He's incredibly knowledgeable, always ready with detailed answers to my questions, and careful to ensure that all exercises are performed safely to avoid any injuries.
What stands out most is his flexibility. No matter my schedule, Michael has consistently accommodated my timing needs—whether that's training multiple times a week or just once every few weeks. Plus, the option to train at either his place or mine has been a game-changer, especially during the colder months.
In terms of cost, his services are very affordable compared to other personal trainers in the area, which definitely adds to the value he provides. Mike is the best! I had pretty much zero knowledge about how to properly use gym equipment before I met him. He is dedicated and serious about his work. The workouts he designs consist of full body exercises and has a ton of variety which keeps every training session exciting. He is supportive, humble, and a fun conversationalist - it's almost like training with a good friend. I can tell he is passionate about fitness and nutrition in the way he expresses himself, he is truly a master of his craft. Definitely would recommend training with him.

Mike is a reliable, professional, and pleasant trainer to work with. Mike spent nearly a decade in the Air Force, and his discipline and work ethic reflect that training. He also used to be a bodybuilder, so he knows what it takes to help you get the results you want. I've worked out with Mike Gernold for nearly a decade and cannot recommend him more highly.
Mike takes a highly personalized approach with every client. He takes into account your goals, your experience and will also work with you to set up your nutrition/macros. Just as important, Mike just deeply cares about all of his clients and their well-being. He is always professional, on-time and will track your workouts to ensure you are making progress.
Again, I cannot recommend Mike more highly if you are looking for a trainer to keep you accountable and take you to the next level.

Mike is an excellent trainer. I've worked with Mike for over 5 years and can recommend him without hesitation. At the beginning of a session, Mike checks in with how I'm feeling. If something is off, he will adjust his plan, and he always has a well thought out plan. The sessions flow smoothly and the time passes quickly. Mike keeps me moving, but spends time to demonstrate movements and tell me why I'm doing them. During the work phase, he is carefully watching and correcting form to prevent injury and for effectiveness. I have specific goals for sports that change throughout the year. Mike wants to hear what these goals are, and is able to get me ready to meet these challenges. He adjusts my program to fulfill the goals.
I've learned enough from Mike to work out on my own. But I feel like Mike drives me forward to even higher levels of fitness and keeps me accountable in a way I could not do solo.

Mike is an excellent trainer. Hyper focused on your goals and functional movements that maximize impact for the time. He is also deeply versed in nutrition which is great for a holistic approach. Mike has a very laid back style too so perfect if you want a thorough workout without the shorty boot camp experience. Highly recommend.
