Gemma is an angel in human form. She is warm, kind, welcoming and provides a sanctuary amidst the chaos of the modern world. I feel gratitude to have found her amazing studio and feel like a better person mentally and physically after each session.

What a wonderful way to spend my Sunday evening. I felt at home in the cozy, candlelit studio under Gemma's gentle guidance. The class was a multi-sensory experience with soothing music and essential oils. I left more relaxed than I've been in a long time
This was my first class, so I was glad to find mats provided. However, my mat was a bit smelly, so when Gemma said to press our foreheads to the floor and take a deep breath...I didnβt π. Do yourself a favor and bring your own mat

always a fabulous class and exactly what a yoga studio should be- kind, thoughtful, but to the point! Always leave feeling better and stronger, especially love that Gemma takes the time to learn the names of everybody in our (crowded christmas) class!

One of a kind type of yoga studio. Gemma and all the teachers have created such a loving, warm and fun environment and it deepened my appreciation and love of yoga. I still miss practicing here even though Iβve moved out of the area.

The candlelight yoga class was wonderful! So relaxing and the stretching exercises were extremely helpful to me and easy to follow. Iβm training for a marathon and wanted to intersperse yoga into my routine and this class was exactly what I was looking for- a combination of stretching, restoration and mindfulness and this class was the perfect fit. The essential oils and lit candles were a wonderful touch. Iβll definitely be going back!

I absolutely loved meeting Gemma at the Herrontown outdoor yoga. She provided an amazing class, took the time to greet everyone, new and returning guests, called out numerous progressions and modifications, encouraged everyone to honor their practice, and REMEMBERED EVERYONE'S NAME! What an absolute treasure! Looking forward to more classes with Gemma and/or Gratitude Yoga in or outside of the studio.

Really awful experience to attend a class here in the summerβ¦ itβs incredibly hot, there is no air conditioning, and the small room the classes are in has massive, ceiling high glass windows. The way the studio is designed is also really not beginner friendly. You cannot see the instructor at all unless you are sitting in the front, unlike other, bigger studios that have mirrors at least. This place needs air conditioning or at least fans during the summer and mirrors throughout the year like every other yoga studio.

The online classes are surprisingly good. Gemma offers excellent direction for vinyasa. Iβm working on my Covid β19β and the anxiety of our times. Gratitude on Zoom has become a very important part of these last weeks. Looking forward to concluding 2020 on a high note, and moving into 2021 with a healthy & mindful & kind practice.

My girlfriends and I went to Chicago for my bachelorette and I hired Lisa for a private yoga session on the beach. She was PHENOMENAL! She has the most energetic and fun personality. Not only did she provide the yoga mats for all of us, but she compiled a yoga playlist of all of my favorite songs. She was great and communicative throughout the entire planning process! My maid of honor had limited mobility due to an unexpected knee injury and Lisa was great with creating alternative poses for her! I would definitely recommend her!

Pros:
-$10 student drop-in
-Free mat usage
Cons:
-There's an enormous Buddha mural IN THE BATHROOM...
WTAF, Princeton? That's extremely disrespectful... and super creepy when you're changing (also there's no locker room...?)
-And there's no showers, even though the instructor, Jenna, didn't turn the air con. on til the last five minutes of class.
-The "Vinyasa" class description on the website in NO WAY prepared me for the Tai Bo/Jane Fonda yoga-robics hybrid that awaited me at noon last Tuesday. If the description had been honest, I wouldn't still be putting ice packs on my muscles and limping around on a bum leg.
I work out regularly: I run, swim, and bike 3 days/week, PLUS I've been practicing yoga since 2010... But this class messed me up, and I do NOT respect the way the class was taught, mind, body, and soul. Disgust. Will never go back.
BTW, don't be fooled by the high reviews. In my experience, yoga studios-- good and bad-- almost always have high stars because 1) very few people leave reviews and 2) the ones who do are die-hard fans of the place anyway. I am leaving a review after having taken one class and made observations there.
I would NOT recommend Gratitude Yoga by any means.

I took a walk-in class with Gemma. She is a warm and knowledgeable teacher and her class is pretty good. Her sequences are too fast for me but I might try a different class by her that might be more of my speed.

Simply the best. Gemma, the head instructor, is special. She is so loving, kind and cares about each of her students. She treats everyone with respect and gives as much attention to the new students as she does to the seasoned yogies. I have been going for over two years now and my flexibility and core strength has dramatically improved. Be ready for a good workout! Princeton is very lucky to have Gemma.
