I highly recommend Howell Dance. The owner and the staff are amazing. Their number one priority is "your child". They teach for the joy of dance and want to instill that same joy in the children they teach. During the pandemic they went above and beyond for their students as well as their parents. They offered virtual classes, extra activities, a virtual recital and even offered virtual Zumba & yoga classes for the Moms. Many of their teachers are actually former students who have returned to share their love of dance. They are a family and I was blessed to have my daughter be a part of that family for 14 years. They took a very shy little girl and helped shape her into the outgoing & successful adult she is today. Howell Dance is more than a dance studio it is a family.

Ok if you just want your child to have fun.
This dance place is not a school, it is more of a gathering place for the mediocre. They focus only on the young children, and the choreography is stale and very outdated. I will admit the kids do have fun, so perhaps they should stick to the recreational dancing and not consider themselves a competitive dance studio. They participate in beginner and intermediate only, so they don't attend any of the more difficult competitions. It's just a shame because if the teachers actually learned proper technique themselves and taught the kids, the parents might get their moneys worth. If you are looking for your child to actually learn dance, keep looking.

Howell Academy hands down has helped my daughter beyond dance. The dance instructors and staff treat her like family and it is like her second home. My daughter has made her HS dance team with the guidance of her instructors at Howell Academy. Howell Academy is a well run studio and extremely organized. They studio is spotless and they never miss a detail. I highly recommend Howell academy if you are looking for a clean , professional, environment for your child.

My daughter has been dancing at Howell Academy of Dance since she was 3 years old , almost 10 years , she plans to dance here until she graduates. The studio staff and families have become an extended family to us. Not only do the teach my daughter dance technique and choreography , they have also taught her confidence, compassion, and how to have fun doing what she loves. My teenage son has been dancing in their hip hop classes for many years as well. I would recommend anyone looking for a place for their child to dance and be a part of an amazing dance family to reach out to them !

Howell Academy of Dance is more than a dance school they are a family. My oldest daughter have been dancing at this school for 12 years and my youngest for 10 years both of whom are on the Diamind Dancer Competition Team. Miss April is the owner and she truly cares about each dancer and treats them like her own. She has the most amazing staff who not only instilled the love of dance in my girls but have given them a safe and loving environment where they have made life long friends and memories. We are extremely happy with our dance family and highly recommend and welcome our school to anyone who wants to join us.

Called months ago and left a message for information regarding registration and got no call back. Called again in August since no one called me back and was told well you know we start advertising in May (that's why I called earlier but got no response). I waited a little to follow up because my daughter has leukemia and I wanted to make sure she was going to be good enough to take class due to her treatment. I told this info to the girl who answered and she said I will talk to someone and they will call you back and usually the response is quick, well here we are almost 2 weeks later and no call AGAIN!

My niece has gone to this dance school for over a decade. Howell Academy of Dance is like a second home to her and the teachers and director like family.
