My son is deaf. He was welcomed in with open arms. Alison one of the coaches knew some sign language and was able to communicate with James. A few minutes into class my son told me he loved it and wanted to come back, so we signed up after our first class. We had a wonderful experience.

Sadly this place has poor service and continues to charge for unused classes. Communication about billing, pausing and canceling classes is non existent and they don’t honor or respect in person communication about anything. Make sure to use email to document everything in detail. The subscription isn’t easy to cancel and their system has been changed multiple times making keeping track more difficult. They bill your card without consent.

My kids have been going to kidstong for a couple of years now, and they love it! It such an engaging program with different skills worked on each week (even including public speaking!). In Particular, Coach Aiden and Coach Rose are amazing. They know how to engage even the shyest student, meet them on their level, and break them out of their shell.

Completely and totally biased against special needs children. This place is a disgrace not only is it a disgrace. It is a franchise. The headquarters is in Texas. They all follow the same curriculum they siphon three years worth of money out of my family and then told me that my children cannot continue with the next age group because they can’t get the support that they need from us parents being on the floor with them, which is no distraction in anyway shape or form to the rest of the class not only that but some of the parents are also unkind and subsequently they kicked out my toddler from his age appropriate Class size due to his Leg Braces and sneakers so with that being said as the school year starts up and parents are looking for activities because the colder weather is going to hit I do not recommend this place!! Not only do I not recommend this place but I do not recommend this company. This is discrimination. They reassured us time and time again that this would not be an issue going forward and they just used us and three years worth of money from us, like money is easy for families to come by especially now and day. Only then shun my children away because of their disabilities which they said interfere with the other children!! I do not recommend this company to anybody they turn around and had Coach call me and tell me that they recommend another space for my children to attend and if they can act right, they can come back when they can act right meaning keeping up with the pace of the class without needing additional support which is discriminatory!!!! And highly inflammatory as a mother of special needs children. I don’t recommend this place, as a mother in general I would not support a place who is biased against children with any sort of special need!! They preach diversity and that they are willing to work with children to meet their needs and help them to reach their individual best. however it’s all about uniformity and conformity the coaches Are there to facilitate they demonstrate once and they’re there to facilitate and provide support if needed. When they are not yelling over the blaring music coming from the television! The children can barely hear them and it’s just not something that I would recommend this place is a disaster. This company is a disgrace And there’s been a lot of turnover with coaches so clearly somethings going on up top! kid Strong does not have an individual curriculum. Nothing about their curriculum is individualized. This is mass production just like a McDonald’s a big Mac is a big Mac no matter where you go. Just like the Kid Strong mantra likes to say I am strong. I am brave I can do this. Well I am Strong I am brave and I could do this too!!!! As a special needs mother. It is my job to stand up to hate, to speak out against discrimination. Kid Strong definitely and clearly discriminates against our special needs community we are the quiet, silent minority, but no more. I am here to speak out and stand on the floor and say that this company is definitely NOT the way to go any good decent upstanding human being would NOT want to participate in a company who would discriminate against our most vulnerable population!!!!! This place definitely does NOT need to be in bussiness! I will not fund a company who breeds intolerance nor should YOU! with the school year right around the corner, remember not to support this company ever!!!

Come for the program, stay for the coaches! We have had a great experience with Kidstrong waldwick - especially our classes with Coach Aiden and Rose. They do a great job of keeping it fun, despite how unpredictable kids can be - we appreciate the fun ways to help our children learn good to get their energy out and do cool parkour moves! We had thought that before the school year we would put our 7 year old into KidStrong, as she loves obstacle courses and has a lot of energy. After the third day, we were informed by her that the “coaches” were always on their phones and if any kid had any struggles the kids were asked in a mean manner “why are you a cry baby” and when someone was whining “do we have a one year old here?” We contacted them to tell them our child will not be returning the rest of the week, as now we don’t feel she would be physically or emotionally safe.
I also found out from my daughter that someone had peanut allergies and they didn’t care and allowed peanuts to be eaten at lunch time, instead of apologizing to the kids and telling them they couldn’t eat it, or segregating the kids while they ate and making sure everything is cleaned after, as well as informing parents to not send peanut products for lunch in the future.
I don’t want to accidentally be responsible for sending a kid to the hospital or worse.

They do not thoroughly clean, the last 3x I’ve taken my son for class on Wednesdays he’s gotten really sick after. I’ve tried to speak to management and they have been avoiding me, when I call they do not pick up. The coaches don’t even engage with the kids, they see what’s on tv and tell the kids to do the same. My son is 2 years old, maybe they should advertise for kids 4and up. This is a waste of money, avoid this place at all costs!!

Choosing KidStrong has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our son. He has challenges with core strength, balance, and coordination, and initially, many of the exercises felt intimidating to him. However, thanks to the incredible support and encouragement from the coaches, we’ve seen tremendous growth—not only in his physical abilities but in his confidence as well.
He now looks forward to each session and is always excited to discover the new routine for the week. We’re especially grateful to Coaches Aiden, Asia, and Rose for their dedication and care. Their positive impact on our son has been truly inspiring. He really looks up to you!
And a special shoutout to Jesse, who has such a great rapport with all the families and creates a warm, welcoming environment every time we walk through the door. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at KidStrong.

Warning for Parents – Be Cautious
KidStrong Waldwick started off great, friendly staff, good energy.
But once I asked to freeze and later cancel my membership, it turned into a nightmare.
For over a year, I’ve been chasing my refund. Their billing department hides behind excuses, and communication is a dead end. Jessie, the manager, went from helpful to dismissive, repeating policy lines instead of offering real support.
We lost hundreds of dollars and never got our full refund.
If you ever need to cancel,
prepare for a long, frustrating fight.
Great service while you pay.
Zero care when you stop.

My Son has been with KidStrong Waldwick since they opened the door to the public. He always gets a choice whether he wants to try something new or stay with the KidStrong team. It takes him literally 5 seconds to answer and KidStrong always wins. :)
I love all the activities provided. The lessons they teach the children and the help they get when struggling with an activity. My child has low muscle tone, so it takes him longer than other kids to do use his upper body to swing from the rings, and I believe he is still having difficulty raising his legs up to hug the tires with them. He’s improved a lot because of KidStrong.

Kids love it. It’s fantastic for them. 5 stars for that. BUT as a business, they absolutely dupe the parents, which I do not appreciate. Will find another activity for them.
1. It’s more expensive than most activities.
2. There is a 30 day cancellation policy hidden in the fine print (no one told me until I tried to cancel. Had to pay a month extra)
3. On top of the ridiculous price, they also sneak in extra charges here and there without telling you- for example, they give the kids a “level up” tshirt, but then I found out they charged me for it! Without saying so!
4. I recall being told on sign up that the price includes 4 classes a month, with no penalty for rescheduling if kids are sick. Turns out you actually get 5 classes, but no one ever told me!! So if I went to all 4, I was paying for one more that I didn’t know I could go to. My friend also mentioned that they told her it’s $15 to reschedule a class.
So. Great activity for your kids, really. But not wallet-friendly. If you’re ok with that, then go for it!

Coach Daisha and Coach Diana were awesome. They engaged Simone and the other kids. Simone was thrilled to be there and couldn’t wait for camp on Monday. I liked how coach Diana asked the kids to try a burpe after the kids didn’t put much of an effort. Simone’s never seen or attempted to do one so it helped. I’m hoping to see more of that bc theres a lot of exercises that Simone has never done before. The facility is cleanly and everyone was approachable and welcoming. Love the enthusiasm and passion!

I took my son to a trial class. We arrived at the facility a bit early, just as we had been instructed, to ensure we had enough time to complete the necessary waivers and paperwork. My son was noticeably anxious about the whole experience. He even told me that he was nervous and hesitant to walk inside, which is understandable given the unfamiliar environment. I thought perhaps if I could find one of the instructors, they might provide him with the encouragement he needed to join the class, as I figured they must have encountered many children who felt the same way in the past.
As I entered, I approached the reception desk and stood there, hoping for some acknowledgment from the staff. Unfortunately, two female employees were engaged in conversation. They glanced in my direction but quickly returned to their discussion. One male employee managed to muster a brief “hello,” but that was the extent of the interaction.
I felt frustrated and disappointed as I stood there for about ten minutes while the staff continued their chatter and busied themselves with their tasks, seemingly indifferent to my presence. I decided it was best to leave.

My kids are bummed everytime we have to leave which means they're happy and have had a great time! I want to add that I appreciate how the coaches make sure to see that each child feels seen and important, but also reward only a couple per class so that kids also learn that it's not about getting rewarded/winning every time. The curriculum is intentional, effective and FUN! Highly recommended this location of KIDSTRONG!

My daughter has been a member of this gym for quite some time and I have become increasingly dissatisfied with the staff. The staff doesn’t seem to know how to handle high energy children, and become visibly annoyed and frustrated after a few attempts. I stopped bringing my daughter a few months ago, and after various attempts to contact the facility to cancel the membership, we were able to get through to put it on hold. When I called to fully cancel, I was forced to pay for a full month because their “policy” mandates a 30 day notice. Life doesn’t work that way, so I am forced to pay another full month for a membership I do not want my daughter to be a part of. We have already enrolled her in another gym. Please consider other options before enrolling your child at Kidstrong.

This gym had a promising start but quickly lost its momentum. The original coaches departed mid-summer, and the new staff they hired as coaches have been disappointing. We've been trying to cancel our membership for three months, but the gym has yet to accept our request. Save your time and money—choose a legitimate gymnastics gym or a gym where kids actually do thrive not stay stagnant.

Great program terrible owners/admin. Beware massive billing scam. Do not save any payment. You will be charged long after termination of contract. This is a common practice. Numerous families had the same issue. Check out BBB and NJ courts for all cases against them.
In reply: the 30 day notice is not applicable in this case so not sure what you are even referring to. The issue is poor admin and not updating records properly turning off auto pay. The best part of the response I have called, emailed, texted no response or resolution. Terrible business. Avoid the headache and stay away

Everything is good until you ask to cancel your membership. My daughter hasn’t been to their facility in 5 months, they still managed to charge me until now. I called to cancel membership 3 months ago, and until now they’re charging me. Not just that, I always called in regards of my daughter if I needed anything while she was still going, they were super responsive, now after I asked to cancel, I’ve been calling the facility and nobody has been picking up, even during their classes time, which they usually have bunch of people around. I drove up to their location, and the same person that signed me up, took my card and did all the paperwork, acted like she has no idea why I’m here and walked me out of the door, promised to call after her “leadership meeting” and again, more lies. Nobody calls. And apparently she can’t help, but I thought whoever knows how to sign up someone for membership, would know how to cancel as well and get issue resolved? I never leave reviews, but for all the runarounds this place is making me go through, and the amount of money they keep charging me for my daughter for not being part of the gym in 5 months, is ridiculous!!

We’ve been bringing my 4-year-old son to KidStrong since he was 3 and have seen so much growth. Not only have his gross motor skills improved, but we’ve seen a real difference with his social skills and ability to following directions. The character-building component of this program really sets it apart from the others. The coaches are energetic and seem to genuinely enjoy interacting with the kiddos. The facility is clean and doesn’t smell like feet (which is always a plus). We even had our son’s birthday party at KidStrong, which was such a fun time for all; the staff was so accommodating and helpful on the day of the party.

First, I’ll start by stating I never write reviews, but I felt so compelled to do so here. My wife and I had gone back and forth trying to plan our daughter’s birthday party for some time, and without any warning there had been an exceptional price change which hadn’t been brought to our attention until we were finally ready to book. I am more upset at the business’s negligence to inform us during our conversations and the time wasted more than I am about the inexplicable price hike. The lack of transparency and inability to rectify miscommunication has shown me that this business is not one I can trust. If this review can help anyone else save their own time, then it has done its job.
On the other hand, I will say that the people I spoke with on the phone were apologetic and kind. I just wish more effort was put in place that valued customers beyond an apology.
I do wish them the best and hope they can learn from this experience. A good start towards transparency would be to place their prices on their website.

The best coaches. Coach Jesse is incredibly energetic, enthusiastic, inspiring, and fun. Coach Bridget encourages, educates, and leads our kids’ classes from the front. I have seen my girls grow in their physical and interpersonal skills under their watch. These two are a big part of why we have brought our children here for years since its inaugural class.

My daughter has been doing KidStrong in Waldwick for 6 months now. She started as a shy 2 year old crying at the first class. Within a short period of time she's levelled up and now is a very confident little rockstar. Props to all the staff there. I've never seen a place run with such positive, high energy people. I run my own business and hiring good people is the hardest part. Coach Aidan has been there from day one and been nothing but a super positive influence on my daughter. My wife and I highly recommend Kid's Strong in Waldwick, and specifically Coach Aidan. All of the kids who go are getting exercise, learning positive life skills, learning healthy routines, and most of all building confidence in themselves. It's truly a special place!

We’ve been coming to Kidstrong for a little over a year now and we don’t plan on leaving anytime soon! Our son is always looking forward to come to class. Coach Aidan is honestly the best thing about it. He has such a happy and positive energy, the kids love him. It’s been a long road for our son because at first he used to be a little challenging but thanks to coach Aidan everything started to work out eventually. Very happy with the experience.

Not clear and straight forward on the payment and cancelling membership. We needed to cancel and did in the gym, and employee told me it's a very last charge. But month later they charged me again, supposedly previous month wasn't a last month - this what they told me over the phone. This place needs to be run more professionally and clearly for parents. I hope no more unexpected charges will be done from Kidstrong side.

I've never written a review before but I can't say enough wonderful things about Kidstrong Waldwick!!! My 2 year old daughter, Deja suffered from social anxiety due to being born around the time the pandemic hit. She was intensely afraid of strangers especially adults and would scream, run and hide. I walked Deja into Kidstrong & (as per usual) she fought kicking & screaming the moment we entered. Emily & staff were INCREDIBLE with handling Deja & gave her the patience, care and encouragement she needed to overcome this huge obstacle. It took a few weeks to get her not to scream and enter the mat (and patience as I left early a few times out of frustration) but I stand here today with my 3 yr old Deja who is now "Alpha" status with her social anxiety being a thing of the past. I cant praise this staff enough for giving Deja the reinforcement & coaching that comes along with this program. I thought I was alone in dealing with this dynamic but obviously I wasn't. Emily and all the coaches are SUPERB & go above & beyond!!! I fully endorse Kidstrong!!!

We have been so happy to find Kidstrong Waldwick for our 7 year old son, LJ. He is smart and sweet but needs a little push in the strength, confidence, and social skills arena. Kidstrong’s multifaceted approach (Brain, Body, Character) works really well for LJ because it stimulates and rewards a variety of his skills and strengths - and simultaneously builds on areas that are less developed. The physical environment is clean and well designed. The atmosphere is positive, encouraging, and collaborative. The classes are well structured and engaging, following a specific rhythm and lesson plan. The character piece is woven through each activity and challenge, ensuring the kids place more weight on being honest and kind over winning. Coaches - who know every kid by name and greet them with high fives and fist bumps - demonstrate these values and make classes and camps fun, effective, and fast-paced. LJ actually wants to go to Kidstrong and has felt part of the group since his first trial. Highly recommend!!

KidStrong is the only activity that my 3 kids have been consistently enthusiastic about. The bonus is that I love to go and watch! The coaches are positive, empowering, inspiring, and fun. Our children are ages 5, 7 & 9 and they are all in the same class which is awesome. The truly beautiful thing is that our 9yr old is autistic, but he is able to fully participate and receives encouragement from the coaches and students when he needs it. KidStrong inspires our kids to work hard to tackle challenges both in and out of class. They are learning how important their mindset is for success in life. There is a healthy striving toward ranking up and the way to do so is simply by attending class. KidStrong has been a gift to our family and we are deeply grateful.

We love KidStrong Waldwick! My son loves his coaches & looks forward to seeing them! It has helped him be more confident on top of getting energy out. I also love that they work on things like coordination, memory, & sign language. The courses are a lot of fun & never boring or repetitive cause they switch them up each month. The ranking system also keeps my son engaged cause he just wants to keep ranking up, getting stickers, etc. It definitely boosts his confidence & makes him feel proud of himself. It’s really a great activity every week at any age. 💙🤍

I enrolled my 5 year old as soon as they opened and right after his first class I signed up my 2 year old! I learned a lot about my 5 yr old like he was afraid of heights and going upside down (front roll and high beam)- it was amazing to see his confidence grow after each class and master these issues! My son LOVES KidStrong camp as well- if he can be here everyday he would. Can’t wait to have his birthday party celebrated with KidStrong in September!

We joined KidStrong a year ago and loved the joint focus on both brain and body. It's not something you can find anywhere else. I love the structure of each class. The multimodal approach to skill acquisition helps all kids of learners be able to grow and develop at their own pace. Both my son (who started at age 3 and is now 4) and my daughter (6) look forward to class each week! They build a team dynamic with their peers and coaches alike.
As another point of reference, I have a special education background and have seen young children who require extra support thrive in the parent and me class.
The coaches are all so well trained and invested in each child's personal growth and development.
If you're on the fence parents, do a trial class! There's nothing to lose but lots to gain!

If you’re looking for a place for your child to have fun which developing physical, mental, and social skills, THIS IS IT! The Kidstrong program is top-notch. The monthly focus helps them build their strength, endurance, intelligence, confidence, and other skills like communication and teamwork. To add to all that, the coaches are AMAZING - so energetic, supportive, encouraging!
Here’s my experience. I called and scheduled a trial class. Initially, my son was overwhelmed with the high energy environment and being around so many children (we homeschool). One of the coaches noticed right away and gently took my son by the hand and guided him until he was ready to jump in. By the end of the class, my son was determined and having fun. When the class was over, I asked if he wanted to go back and it was a resounding YES!!!
It’s been 6 months since that class, and I’ve seen my son’s confidence, strength and endurance soar. He always asks if it’s Kidstrong day and can’t wait to see Coach Emily, Coach Jay, and Coach Allison and his classmates every week. Any time now that my son faces a new challenge, I remind him to use the I am strong, I am brave, I can do this mantra from the program.

My family loves Kidstrong classes. We have been going to classes since they opened their doors- started with one kid and now all three kids are kidstrong fans. The coaches keep the classes challenging but successful and are extremely encouraging. They have really taken the time to get to know my kids this past year. My one complaint (which lost the star) is the coach’s award system. As I was told, it was put into place to encourage the kids who don’t necessarily follow all directions to begin following them. I completely support that, however, as a mom and a professional child developmental therapist, it is a bit flawed. the kids who do behave, listen, stay on task, try hard, tend to get over looked for these awards. My son began class on his own in December, was in tears bc I wasn’t doing it with him, hated doing the boosts, needed sound canceling headphones… to now, ranked as a Titan, leading the affirmations, demonstrating the courses, (HUGE growth). I personally think that deserves a coach’s award… at some point over the last 7 months. I don’t think he has gotten one since November. He cries after every class not understanding why. Being honest, this one thing has made us question our membership a few times unfortunately.
